Going to need more info?
What is on the USB?
What are you trying to do?

twilit cypress
#

I want to plug it in my pc to transfer files

#

Idk what is in It was on the shelf a long time

#

USB stick I mean

It could be that the USB isn't working properly OR the mbr of it is busted. Just as an example.
Do you have anything on the USB you need? If not try to format it.

twilit cypress
#

I can't format it

#

When I plug it

#

My file explorer loads and loads

#

And after a minute it ejects it

stoic current
#

Hmmm - doesn't sound too good.
I can only speak from personal experience but usually I'll just throw the USB away at that point and get another one. ๐Ÿ˜›

I can't repair it somehow ?

#

It's a Kingston

#

Like disassembly it

stoic current
#

You could try having Disk Management open and then try to plug it in, see what it says there.

twilit cypress
#

Tryed it

#

It gets a disk 4

#

Nothing right of it

stoic current
#

I don't know about disassembly, I don't know what it is, if it's just a generic kingston USB stick, it's probably not worth your time to fix. if it's even possible.

Oh ok . I have a second question can I ask here ?

stoic current
#

Ye sure.

#

I have an external HDD 4tb

#

I was using it and forgot to remove the power from the wallet

#

It was in power like 3 week 24/7 (pc was off )

#

And now when I plug it I don't hear any sound

#

And it don't work

#

The HDD died or the adapter

#

?

stoic current
#

What is the name of the external HDD?
Depending ont he disk in there it could've easily survived that.

D3 station

#

Seagate h think

This

It's hard to tell. Just from your information.
You could try to yank it out of the cabinet there and see if it's just a normal SATA connection, because then you could easily hook it up via a SATA to USB adapter.

#

If it's still under warranty don't do that though, take it back to where you bought it.

twilit cypress
#

It's like 10 years old

#

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

stoic current
#

Holy moly.

#

I'd wager the guess that the adapter died then.

#

If it doesn't even ramp up (you should be able to hear that) could definitely be power related.

twilit cypress
#

Ok i will test it

#

But when I plug it into power

#

And then USB

#

When it's usb with my motherboard came contact it did a small spike

#

So I think it's the adapter

#

I will try it and tell you
