Can someone explain why my friends computer is doing this? This happens when I boot from the install media. Its got a core i5-9500, Corsair CV series 550w psu, gigabyte z390 gaming x, and an 8gb corsair vengeance rgb ram module.

I even took the ssd to my pc and installed windows on it and tried to boot from it on his pc and it still does that

probably a bad mobo i can't see why else it can't boot. is it able to boot on your pc?

It just sends to a link on how to enable safe mode but you cant do that if it doesn’t boot

The only thing I can think of is that the power supply is faulty at this point

are you using the cables that came with the psu? maybe some incompatability i'm just throwing out ideas

Ive tried the cpu in my build and it boots

and you weren't able to load the installer on that build?

is it a windows 11 install that needs tpm? and maybe it's not enabled on those bios'

I can get to grub menu then it just gets stuck on a black screen

I booted link from usb and it opens grub menu to prompt how to boot, i selected to try the os and then it black screens
