So everytime i launch a game pubg rocketleague shatterline gta5 etc i start for like a few mins with intense lag specs that happen every 3 to 4 seconds my drivers are up to date and i dont think its an hardware issue
my specs

Ram: 16GB DDR4 hyperx predator
MB: ASRock A320M-HDV R4.0
Gpu: 8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 5700
#Intense lag spikes

Sounds like it could be temperature related mate, open your AMD Adrenalin software, go to Performance > Metrics on the right hand side click "overlay" make sure your size is set to 100% and click the slider on "Show Metrics Overlay".
Play one of those games for a bit and if your gpu temperature is going above 80c, or your cpu temperature is going above 90c, you're just thermal throttling. Which means it might be time to replace the thermal paste on your CPU or GPU, or maybe buy some more case fans.
ait
but its only in the beginning
cuz if i give it some time the spikes stop
i just started the games and my cpu is 65 ish and gpu 60
and my games lagging
gimmy a sec restarting my gta
aLRIGHT
Turn that off too
and when the lag happends it goes to like 15
search game mode in windows settings and turn it to what it isnt
if its on turn it off and vice versa
alright
wait what does that even do
ah
It can give amd lag spikes if turned on but we'll see
What's the wattage of your power supply?
like 550
u think i should upgrade
Have you got both cables in
It should be fine so no
Save your money for something else
both lights of the cables or on
By both cables I mean
If that's your psu
You should have 2 gpu slots
12v gpu slots
Do you use both of them?
dont really know outta ma head then ill have to open my pc
Yeah you'll need to
because if you're not using both of your gpu slots that will probably be the problem
unless you've just started having these issues
ehhh cpu upgrade
When was that?
went from 5 2600 to 3600
changed it with ma brothers new pc
and i added an m,2 ssd to put my windows on like a year ago
and an extra hdd of like 2 tb
Lad when did you upgrade your cpu
ehhhh like 7 months ago
right
I mean anything that could have changed recently
Within a day or two around the time of when these spikes started
