Any other browser should work.

Folding servers usually have hourly limits if there is a heavy amount of WU requests and not enough extra WU--I've encountered this to the point I gave up.

All my slots generally are able to put out work in 2-5 hours depending on the card and WU, I don't think I've ever actually seen a WU small enough to finish it in an hour or less lol

WU server slots if I recall are to prevent clusters from all pulling WUs during peak hours or something like that. I forget which forum I was on, the work-around was to set a delay or hope you get larger WUs.

@rich depot here's my plan. im going to inspect the cooler and see if this will work first, figure out what kind of work i need to do to clean it up, any angles to worry about. once that's done i'll go to the hardware store, get a tiny bit of epoxy and some small diameter metal tubing. i'll modify it till it sits how i want on the plastic shroud where the old plastic mounts were for the screws to go into, fill the tubing with epoxy, then once it sets i'll drill tiny holes for the screws to thread into and screw it all back together. the metal should keep the epoxy from cracking the way the plastic did when the screws are in it
and i'll be shocked if the epoxy doesn't set just fine onto the plastic without issue
if i want to make it look less professional but stronger i can also brush some epoxy around the outside base of the tubing 🙂

I have a 1060 and it is running 100% all the time. Could it be you got a WU that the 1080 is a bit overkill for? I don't know.

it should be fairly straightforward - passing through to linux is easier than passing through to windows - it's less finicky
the harder part is getting the host to pass through without failure and without conflict, and get past reset bugs on some cards
if you can do that, then both windows and linux in the guest are not issues, and linux is easier
