slots start at slot 0
set your first slot for gpu to slot 0
the next one to slot 1
ect
also, while you're in there
scroll down to extra slot options
add name:client type, value:advanced
it'll open you up to wus that are not fully tested which need to go out for that purpose
still gets you good PPD in my experience
will help you get WUs faster to test the slot
and in general
once you get it working though, you may want to turn it off on a 7970, just becuase of how slow it is now

Holy shit... Either that 2600XT or the 6970 is unbelievably loud. Just removed them both and the computer is SOOO much more quiet now. Haha

"Server" being what I call that computer.
The problem is, when I click configure, it doesn't let me change any options.
Don't worry, I managed to find the config file and manually remove the extra slots.
Now it loaded up just fine.
Back to the CPU and one GPU running.
Not sure how to get GPU2 running...

Haha! It was rather easy. No config files were shown in the program file directory so I checked ProgramData and then AppData and found it in the latter. Literally just "config.xml". In there were <slot> sections and I just removed all but the CPU.
Anyways, the GPUs are totally separate and not using Crossfire. How do I make the second GPU actually run something?

Ah, mine overclocked to buggery. I had to dial it back from where it was though as it kept crashing occasionally in games. Seems to be running nicely now though.

physically slot 1 should be index 0 and so on
caused me some trouble because i thought that was what was wrong when my system was spitting out units, and i'd get it up and it was actually the driver all along xD

It's not even trial and error, the system info tells you exactly what slots have which cuda/opencl slots
