Junkitron really is pulling its weight; it doesn't weigh much, but it's pulling it! Something like 150k per day, give or take. I think the CPU is bottlenecking that 1050Ti somehow, it's not clocking up especially high, but that may be working in its favor. It's quite consistent.

Well, it's only single-slot, so it won't take much time to install at all.

But it is only PCIe 2.0, but that barely matters in these applications.

You can pick them up on eBay for $70-80 pre-owned, nVidia sells them refurbed for $99. It's not hyper-expensive especially if you want to run a bunch of them, but it's not exactly a bargain, either.

The download bug was the cause of the random restarts.

I'm not specifically sure how it was or why it was, but there were random drops and drips in power in the GPU clock speed graph from last week, a whole bunch of little notches. They would get more and more frequent as time went on, and the time seems to roughly correlate to when other people were having download problems.

For the last couple days, the clocks have instead been a flat, steady line, and PPD totals have increased to about 2.2mil to where they should be, perhaps beyond.

Could the system have been working itself into confusion due to not being able to download properly and then sending the GPUs spiralling out of control? I'm not certain, but that's my theory at the moment.

My 8700K gets about 100K PPD and my 3900X did about 300K PPD. But an 18 core V2 Xeon did 100K PPD as well, so IPC matters more than core count.

I'm not sure why the 2080ti's do so much lower PPD than the Titans do. I figured they would be about the same but the Titan RTX seems like 1m ppd more and the Titan V usually sits around 500k ppd more.

The highest I've seen on a 2080ti is about 2.5m. The highest I've seen on my Titan RTX is 4m.

I don't have any Titans, but the highest I've seen is in my 2080 Ti/8700K rig. Idk what about it attracts high WUs, but it's had some 2.9M days

Same here. Since BIOS are so locked down now on Pascals and above, I gone back to just stock air on my GPUs. Hmm, I need to get my two Titans up and going then.
