@elfin socket conduit or externally rated cable, there are some with more resilience that are rated for the harsh conditions of the outside world. They are obviously more expensive, so weigh up the costs and see whether conduit works out cheaper

Don't leave a string, you're better off just fishing it again if you need to add something.

As for conduit, it doesn't matter. If it's outside, go with PVC (won't rust and leave streaks the way EMT will and smurf...I wouldn't use it outside.

Ads served by a third party are a security risk.
Sites (news & blog) load about 80% faster without ads.

I have a sorta strange networking questions that has to do with creating a media server.

So a friend and I both run Plex Media Servers. But we're wanting to share our libraries so that I have what he has and he has what I have. The part that we're trying to figure out is how to get the contents from one person to another. I told him that we should use Resilo Sync (BitTorrent Sync formally). I'd create a folder for him inside the plex media server, and he'd create a folder for me. We basically would put our entire media collection into these folders and set them to be read-only so we don't mess with each other's libraries. The idea is to just add the other person's folder into Plex, so any changes they make will be synced.
