OOF
@silk gate stock mask why
because mint
i havent had that bike for 2 years now
@civic girder considering that my BMW 5 series GT oh has about 12k miles, I'd say that it's an unreliable piece of crap. But, it's under warranty and it was something that was really uncommon to break
Customer: is it ok if I park here
we used to havwe audi 80
we had to make a hole in the wall because the car was too long
am I tripping, or did the '65 c2 stingray come with a fricking 425HP 396 cubic inch V8?
jesus
p o w e r
and the '67 427 cubic inch ones came with 435
nice
I can imagine the number of people who fricking died in that thing
r e a l s t r o n k
imagine going from 435hp v8s to fricking 100 hp v8s in the malaise era
F
me wishing for nothing except a good deal on a panther body

drop a 427

mhmm
imagine getting a town car
for under 1.1k
that'd be schweet
ye
but the town cars come with nicer interior and shit
also a more supple ride
the long wheelbase models are aight too
ye
hell, I need to come there via flight first

then, I can get to getting a panther
god, I love panthers
A car wrap doesn't increase the value of a $150,000 car.
Can someone tell the owner that?
Everybody on FB did
If anything, the wrap would decrease the value of such a car.
Since you'll have to remove the wrap.
Most 650S are around the $150,000 range. Give or take.
I have no idea what extra options that has that would increase the price.
MSO options are very expensive, but lookin at his taste in wrap i doubt it has any
Wrap probably cost more than most expensive option.
So the sports exhaust for $6,600
has stealth pack
Installs no-stealth wrap

Yes
Called the first shop. They're going to look into it and call me back with a quote.
Going to wait a bit and call the next one, they'll probably also have to call me back so I want to space them out to avoid overlapping return calls
@civic girder what was wrond with it?
not sure yet. Still think its the valves
No shop is touching my baby rotary, unless its an alignment or some other thing I don't trust/can't do myself
π

The only is answer is yes
this car is street driven and is not a trailer queen. It's all in fun. It's a Nice Summer Project.
twin superchargers? weak
Mike Harrah's Newest Engine - v24 - 71 Diesel Rated at 3424 HP
this has twelve 8-71 blowers
but does it have VTEC
bahaha
On most Hondas VTEC activates at like 5000rpm right? That engine won't rev that high
It'll rev to like 4000 max, if that even
Depends on the engine.
The basic "VTEC" will turn on at 3-4k.
I need more wood grain!
"brisk acceleration"
0-60 is 10.5 seconds.
I wonder how the c2 stingrays, with their 427 cu in 435 hp v8s did
i wish mine was fast
"""435hp"""
on a bare engine with no accessories or anything else and running on an engine dyno
Maybe barely 200 at the wheels
Maybe barely 200 at the wheels
@civic girder wot?
this is the '67 427
not some malaise shit
they actually made power back then
Yea, but back then everything was still pretty restrictive
the engine does make 435, but the car would never see anywhere close to that at the wheels with all the accessories and the long geared restrictive transmissions they used
Malaise was just straight up no power, not even on a bare engine with no accessories
435... so what. That's still 300+ horsepower in the end.
And a lot of the end game American muscle cars and the such had astoundingly short gearing.
Apparently gear it right/wrong you could approach max speed by the end of a quarter mile.
tf
anyone know what gmsv is in australia
this is the '67 427
@devout atlas the only old school car i want is an Eleanor
@devout atlas the only old school car i want is an Eleanor
@umbral hull how are you here?
huh
nice
gone in 59 seconds
anyway, I'd be fine with any classic
as long as it meets the following criteria:
- Murica
- Big
- comfy seats
Uhm, you know Eleanor was the official nick name of the '67 Mustang GT 500?
@umbral hull you sure?
I think we're talking about different pnes
*ones
also
may I interest you in the panther body?
Eleanor is just the name of that customized GT500.
idc, i want that freaking car
I think I know what would be an interesting car in switzerland
and that is?
Trabant 601
guess my car
I've lived in estern europe and I've only seen 2 trabants

when it laods
@umbral hull Is it Toyota Prius?
aquila talon?
oh sorry
wrong and wrong
I think it's a fiat brava
r/woosh
I thought it was a Subaru
gold wheels and the blue
jk haha
bayside blue
it's an R34 skyline gtr
@umbral hull just messing with ya obv don't kill me
it's an R34 skyline gtr
@median egret I have an R34 GTR V-Spec Nur as well

I legit want a Yaris GR.
actually that R34 was my father's car
260 hp in the body of a Yaris? Yes please.
@umbral hull
I'm sorry π
Go and fuck yourself, Bill
Go and fuck yourself, Bill
@umbral hull not the first time you've said that
i'll repeat it till the rest of your life, Bill
nice
hehe yeahh
now, talking cars
rotary: the size of a 3-cyl, the power of a 6-cyl, the fuel consumption of a v five million
fun fact: you need apex seals again @civic girder
I just want an S212 facelift E63s
The king of all Rat engines, the ZZ 572/720R big block is Chevy Performance's baddest crate engine - see images, dyno specs, installation info and more.
@turbid onyx I might be driving a Yaris. But I would drive past pretty much everyone in the corners.
guess someone mixed something up
guess someone mixed something up
@umbral hull I see a vw emblem in the center?
yep
The Yaris GR is nice and thicc.
no one fucking cares about hybrids
Hybrid?
that's not a panther
The Yaris GR is a Turbo 3 cylinder.
π ±οΈ π °οΈ π©
The Yaris GR is a Turbo 3 cylinder.
@civic spoke not a 4.6 modular
that's what i need
also, the SOHC 4.6 mods were de-tuned
Twin turbo?
no
bad
NA V8 best
murica
italian NA V8 bestestest
@turbid onyx beautiful limited run supercar bestest
Why not just get the Aston V12 that was based from the Ford engine?
Why not just get the Aston V12 that was based from the Ford engine?
@civic spoke talking of ford engines, did you know that the koegnigsegg CCX uses the DOHC 4.6 modular?
806 horses
nice
4200 GT, quattroporte V, granturismo
@turbid onyx quattroporte isn't ordinary QQ
First Koenigsegg engines, yeah. For their first bunch of cars.
at least here, anyway
how cheap?
I'm talking about your limited run car
so there's no need to get a limited run car to have that engine
@turbid onyx yeah, but the limited run car is pretty cool
@umbral hull > it's a RB32DETT
@umbral hull
nice
Ah, but that concept is not new, as seen on chestplates
Specific chestplate because the normal one wouldn't clear the bob
what a beaut
mine's not the competizione
@turbid onyx wait, can you tell me what the difference in it's aesthetic is?
because I slapped in the first photo from google

I wonder what Maserati's are priced at over here.
maserati is just a slightly cooler dodge
And more unreliable
Ferrari modular engine, as a V6 in cars
SUCKS
Maserati proved that
can I say ford 4.6 modular now?
And Alfa is stupid for choosing it again in the giulia
ford 4.6 modular
can I say ford 4.6 modular now?
@devout atlas
No, because that's even worse
brought to you by lasting for 300k miles
@civic spoke
WHO CHOPPED THE BOOT
@devout atlas
No, because that's even worse
@median egret wot?
brought to you by lasting for 300k miles
@devout atlas
300k miles is laughable
it's a tank of an engine
Mercedes 300D gang
The truck I drove today had close to 300,000 km's on it.
Mercedes 300D gang
@median egret lol no. The 4.6 mod is the pinnacle of de-tuned reliability
Our V6 Vito has over 300k km
and it's just
Ima say it right here.
Torque is more fun than horsepower
hence the 4.6 modular
Torque is more useful than horsepower.
MORE FUM
fun
accelerating to just 40kph
in the V6 van
is already fun
Diesel V6 man
Great engine
I personally love speeding through corners without touching the brake.
Going 50+ kmh around roundabouts. π
Haha that's rookie numbers
They have oval roundabouts in the netherlands
70kph hell yeah
lol jk
I never do
but I know someone at work
who actually
fucking
drove 70 kph
over the fucking thing
This one I legit do at 70 kmh.
Yes but its big
Traction control light starts going off as I exit it because of it being a bit bumpy xD
Oh, I was just about to link a google link. Realized that it's probably going to get blocket. Trying anyways? π€
Here goes nothing. https://goo.gl/maps/sBmPUkGDBNGkRNEs5
Oh, it worked.
Waiting.
Ha!
I forgot how many roundabouts we actually have in that area.
It's like 20 roundabouts or something.
Got some decent photography done yesterday
V6 swapped RX-7
I have lots of pics of my cars too
The only good quality pics I have are of my accord, didn't have the dslr long before I got the car
All my pics are shitty. I'm bad at taking pictures, and even my good camera is still over 10 years old
My camera was released 4'ish years ago
Cheapo Nikon D3400
With a 18-105mm nikkor vr lens
Was about to mention that
I miss my fancy lens I had for my Canon.
18-105 is quite the broad reach.
I had the EF 17-40 mm f/4L
Basically replaced the kit lens with the L-lens.
I just ordered an IPE for my c63
3 cylinder power.
Needs another 50 hp.
As polarizing as Shmee is. He's getting more confident in his driving.
got this thing detailed for the first time in like 4 years
VW Piraya
As polarizing as Shmee is. He's getting more confident in his driving.
@civic spoke
I love Shmee
He's enthusiastic and knows how to drive
Unlike supercarblondie who's fucking annoying and forgot the parking brake in a classic ferrari
also she consequently missed gears
That was painful to watch
I guess she's used to modern cars. That does everything for you.
And she's annoying as fuck
If I had a bullet
Id still shoot myself but if I had two
I too would shoot a Toyota Prius.
she appeals to the general public
only real problem i have with her is she takes away from attention from actual automotive youtubers who actually know what theyre talking about
and not just reading a script
blondie worked "hard" for her success sure
but she dosent actually know what the fuck anything she says means
its just a script
shes probably read so many scripts by now shes caught on but her success is purely based off the fact she has access to one-off cars
and concept cars
rather give the attention she or shmee gets to someone in chrisfix' genre so people can actually learn a thing or 2
used to love shmee's gumball 3000 videos π¦
this advertisement makes no sense
this is the car equivalent of "graphic design is my passion"
its apparently a brand that sells stuff for car detailing
I just watch hoovie being awesome
@stoic ledge yesss
I met shmee actually
and he's just
british perfection
such a classy dude
Uh oh
looks at the new version of the escape jesus it's ugly
and why a 3 cylinder? how would that work with a 3300 lb car?
Just get the PHEV
Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, yes
still ugly, and some cost cutting measures are a bit odd
that said, apparently the four barrel gets more horsepower than the v6
It this... Turbo vs N/A?
mine doesn't have a turbo and gets 201 or so
Mine doesn't have a turbo and gets 83 or so
the 4 barrel has an ecoboost and gets 250
a 3 cyl 1.5 (the 2l without its 4th cyl) vs a 1.5/1.6 4 cylinder? I imagine theres better torque out of the three cyl, especially with a turbo
Ahz that's the Focus ST engine then probably
3 cyl is the 1.5 EcoBoost, yes
That engine is also in the Fiesta ST
I also disagree with where they apparently put the computers..who thought it was a good plan to put them near the bumper?
bump into someone at a stoplight, car shuts down
Perfect
that or you get stuck in 3rd gear
If only there was some way to mechanically change your gears with, maybe, a 3rd pedal
π€
π€
but yeah, according to the IHSS, the driver may experience the following in case of a side impact and you didn't buy the optional side airbag:
concussion
whiplash
brain damage (from your head slamming into the other vehicle/window)
broken hip
internal bleeding
internal organ damage
OOF
the person behind the driver, will somehow live, and need years of therapy
and probably a new knee
rewatches video it also looks like they didn't bolt the seat down properly..
04 escape
multiple mistakes and shortcuts appear to have been made
That interior looks like 1995
i changed out the radio for one with a touchscreen and Bluetooth
π
That looks unsafe AF
2001 Ford Escape 40 mph frontal offset test
Overall evaluation: Marginal
Full rating at http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=2
So does the side impact without airbags π
is it supposed to crumple like a tin can?
yes.
Modern crumple zones are indeed supposed to crumple.
Tho the passenger cell isn't supposed to deform like that.
Even in 2001.
i think they over did it
Passenger compartment should basically be intact
the impact with the a beam is just adding salt to the wound
Even a Ka doesn't deform like that lol
http://www.euroncap.com/tests/ford_ka_2000/77.aspx Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propel...
Ok maybe side impact
But front it's better
airbags are probably one of the most wonderful developments in modern cars.
the next improvement was apparently cut resistant airbags
and my earlier comment was confirmed with the partial side impact test on the 2020 escape. if you hit anything at a decent speed, the computer will be smashed to bits
that's probably the least of your concerns though
With a side impact, it'll probably be totalled anyways
you'd need a new tire..and tire assembly..because it's rolled away
i don't even know where the cmoputers are in my car
i think mine is.. googles it
mines up above passenger footwell it looks like
^ same for mine
mine's in the top middle area of the engine bay
so..fairly hard to damage unless you smash the engine completely

There's no way that Toyota won't sell the Corolla Cross in the US.
They'll kill the C-HR in favor.
@devout atlas the Competizione is the coupΓ©.
@turbid onyx oh, so you got the spider/spyder. nice
yes?
Toyota went 'totally' eco, they'd not sell another car without Hybrid or full electricity engines nowadays
The Corolla is still gas.
the only gasoline cars from Toyota i'd drive are Supra, GT 86 and an AE-86.
So a BMW, Subaru, and a Corolla.
anything else is just whack
because i was raised in a family with obsession for cars and for me a car has to sound like a car, not like a freaking old mans city scooter
If you are obsessed with cars, you can appreciate the sheer amount of engineering that goes into a modern EV or hybrid.

why the hate?
Engines are more powerful, more efficient, and cleaner than ever before.
imagine a Nissan Skyline suddenly changing from Vroooom to Sssssrrrrr
okay, and?
Next generation GT-R will more than likely have a hybrid system.
Not unlike the NSX.
There's more to a car than just an exhaust sound.
there's nothing more satisfying than a good sounding gasoline engine
at least for me
I like CVTs
sure you do
waiting to be killed rn

they're fine
I do mind automated clutch or dual clutch set ups.
I like driving cheap auomatic runabouts
you feel like you're doing 100, but you're doing legal speeds
so that's nice
I know there's the "car guy" flex.
But frankly I think that anyone who enjoys driving is pretty nifty.
for example, I like driving my mum's cheap hyundai cvt runabout
the body roll is π
if that's your thing, power to you
If your thing is Mustangs, Supras, and Corvettes, nice.
it's slow car slow until you're doing 70, where it becomes slow car fast
If your thing is Mustangs, Supras, and Corvettes, nice.
@dense shard *or panther bodies
panthers?
yes
eh, I wanna own one
As long as you know what you're in for.
suspension more uncertain than a high school girl about her clothing choices? yeah
Suspension is sorted enough.
It's just glacial, handles poorly, burns a shit ton of fuel, and the interior quality was disappointing 20 years ago.
To put it simply. It's a Ford.
the engine is also super de-tuned
I wouldn't say it's detuned.
Ford was doing the best they could.
Ultimately that was 300 horsepower.
I'm talking about the Mustang.
That maxed out at 300 at the end of that engine's life span.
It started out with maybe 230 when it was released in the early 90s.
oh yeah, the SOHC4.6 was no fast 'un
It made exactly 0 horsepower more than the 5.0.
Understressed... maybe.
But Ford really didn't seem to be aiming for that.
not all fords are bad
Not all Fords are bad.
NO fords are bad
Ford tends to release a great product, but never follow up.
Weelll the focuses and fiestas with the powershit trans are bad cars
plain and simple
The Focus, Fusion, and Taurus from the 10s were all brilliant on launch.
Ford NEVER updated them.
i like our taurus
I wouldn't call GM good.
to be fair each American car brand has a fatal flaw.
yea gm makes cars for people compensating for their small member
glances at the new silverado
-10 and I'll agree with you spy.
fuck yeah
I like the 60s caddies too
see, if I never get married, or have anyone dependent on me, I can get away with running a 60s/50s garage
lexus = even better best cars
@indigo coral fancy moustache on best cars
()W()
lc500 = best looking car on sale
no contest
that car has no bad angle
inside or out
lc500 = best looking car on sale
@indigo coral no
fucking stunning
LOL. the quattroporte is nowhere near as good looking as an LC500
& its not fake
where it looks like nice materials but is actually mediocre
it's nice af
also the convertible is cool, doesn't even look horrible with the top up
which is unusual for convertibles
what is that out of?
bentley
lol
new flying spur
even my 90s lexus has a solid interior. Its not all the top tier matierals compared to 2020 standards but its holding together remarkably well
when you compare it to other '99 interiors
I bet you can guess my pipe-dream unattainable dream car

ok that's probably nice materials but thats fucking ugly
the red steering wheel but the orangey wood
no ty
see now that looks a lot nicer
yeah thats way better
complete with falling doors
than the red leather/light wood
because bentley
oh
yes, lexus is probably my favorite car brand.
the thing sounds SO GOOD.
β’οΈ
and this sh*t came out of lexus
(and yamaha)
yamaha tuned the exhaust sound which is why it sounds so incredible
Lord Highmoore is displeased
''LIKE'' my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/QVSphotography
------------------------------------------ INFO BELOW! ----------------------------------------
This time I have made a 2 minute video of my gopro at the exhaust from the V10 Lexus LFA. Enjoy the epic sound!
...
he will now use his influence within the ministry of defense to label you an international terrorist
the last bentley that I want to own
it's a good volkswagen
arnage T?
honestly I'm just astonished that the Lexus LFA sounds as good as it does, considering its the same company that makes the RX and the ES, reliable, safe, comfortable grandma cars
excellent grandma cars, but still grandma cars
lol
I'm surprised that ford had the balls to drop a fucking v6 in a ford gt
that new gt has a lot of nerve being alive
I heard they might be killing the V8 in the mustang
@indigo coral and I'd kill them
Lol
is the mustang the last ford with a v8?
eh, i dunno
dropping the v8 is a good way of driving sn95 and later generation prices
the sn95 is the perfect teenager first car rn
hence all the mustang crashes

they used to make better cars
@indigo coral yes
is the Lexus GS-F the last NA V8 RWD sedan?
sad
is the Lexus GS-F the last NA V8 RWD sedan?
@indigo coral hmm, there's the b- holy shit, you might be right
the IS-F was cool too
the continental?
thank god
that's a FWD V6, no V8 available iirc
wat?
if you mean the new one
ye
nope the new one is a V6 and AWD
previous generation was V8 and RWD
the g90 has a v8 option
still?
yep
lemme look at the configurator
it is the new gen
yeah i just looked at the config, there's a v8 still thankfully
lmfao
ok so G90, GS-F, what else is a rwd V8 sedan?
the lc500 doesn't count bc its a sports car
I can't believe that lincoln isn't selling v8 cars
disgraceful
even the black label is not v8
hmm
the caddies have a Twin turbo v8 though
4.2L
no big deal
not NA
very uncool
buick sells opels
@dense shard you were right. The american car industry is no longer 'american'. The most american car i can think of is the G90, which is korean
or GS F
yes
now that I've had this epiphany, lexus gs f best olds chool sedan?
along with the g90?
().o
Avalon
fwd doe
Welp
I think i guess I need to keep my Ford Focus mk1
But im worried about worn valves
how so? Better weight distribution?
oh
hence the lower Center of gravity
ah
they wanted to offset the weight from the roof mechanism?
oh, nice
so it's a convertible without the traditional convertible drawbacks?
which track?
this?
looks good
i've been on a track too. It was called a 'parking lot'
mhmm
Had to drive that today
Kinda interesting the spider uses an i4 engine
It also weighs 2500 pounds, so, chances are anything bigger would be overkill
Also too heavy
The main thing is keeping it light
Also wait, Spider?
8C has a V8
4C Spider has a 1.75TBi
Just like Ford's 5.0 or Mercedes' 6.3 6.2L.
I saw a Polestar 2 today.
I want a Polestar 2
I'm only short a tiny amount of money
@turbid onyx have you heard anything of Fiat going to use the new eVMP-platform from PSA? The platform looks very promising
Modular 60-100kWh
And unless I'm mistaken... it looks like RWD to me π
CMP... so like a new Punto π
Nice
But Fiat 500 5-door... gas or electric? Or both
Probably just what the Punto should be, but naming it a 500
And then the PSA drivetrains?

Curious to see what they come up with
Strange for Fiat to not have a B-segment car like the Punto... That's one of the best selling segments
Well the 1.2 PureTech engines are praised throughout Europe, one of the best small 3-cyl gas engines
For diesels, they have fairly new 1.5 HDI's if you want that
And for the eCMP platform, there's a 100kW/136hp + 50kWh setup
That's why you should share a platform
Or co-develop something
No 50kWh battery for the eCMP
BEV
Like the e-208, Corsa-e, e-2008, DS 3 E-Tense
100kW/136hp engine, 50kWh battery
That would make the car higher
They didn't want that
They platform was designed from the start with EV in mind, but they just wanted it to be exactly like the regular version
Yes, it's basically center console, under the seats etc
Ah sure, but it's modular so that's the whole point
They could also so some shoddy hacky whacky stuff like Mini, end raise the entire car like 4cm up to create a battery floor
Imho it's a well thought out platform for what it's intended for
Pure EV platform would probably have a different layout/structure, but for a cross between gas and BEV it's great
I'm done with my car research
Hi done with my car research, I'm MK
has anyone got naviextras toolbox working? doesn't detect my sd card
Nice
@stoic ledge im moving out of Switzerland
Ni job
No stay
Sad
I'm gonna to get motorcycle license in poland
And a truck driver lice se
And work as a truck driver
And I will still drive my beater focus
Idk how long it can run with worn valves
murica

Kilometers
Decent amount
@indigo coral keep your eyes peeled, deprecation is our friend
Genesis is very underrated
Got this used under 25k (not sure the exact number, 150k miles but drives like new)
Canadian truck, since they use sand instead of salt on the roads, the underside is pristine
Id love to test drive one so I know if it's something I actually wanna work towards but nobody would let an 18y/o test drive a flagship luxury car
Lmao
However the windshield has been pretty much sandblasted over the years
Yeah
Iβve been to couple big shows and like
They let 14 year old me start a senna which was super cool
presses button
Haha engine goes brrr
Button on roof
fighter jet mode engaged
I got to drive a guy's model 3 which was fun but I don't know anyonne with a G70
I really want to drive more hooklift now.
Iβve driven once
Actually twice
Since Iβm still only 15, Iβve only gone up a driveway and that one time at the salt flats in Utah where I couldnβt hit anything if I tried
Only went about 20mph in a fiesta ST but it was fun
Got the manual transmission experience
Two gears of it anyway
Yeah
Still running strong tho
We drove it cross country
1st thing I'd driven: 1999 Fiat Panda Automatic
2nd thing: DAF XF Super Space Cab
3rd thing: New Holland T5050
And then back to cars again
I really want to get a CE license.
Oooh
Next thing I drove was our 2014 Explorer Sport
Then the driving schools cars and stuff, then my RX300, and a whole bunch of other cars since then lol
We sold that to a guy and he put so much love into that car
I drove my RX when the previous owner had it before I owned it
Then the driving schools cars and stuff, then my RX300, and a whole bunch of other cars since then lol
Driving school cars
I 'member
Renault Clio 1.5 D I E S E L
π€
These dudes r fun

Our driving school cars were Kia Souls
I tagged along with my dad and went to the driving school in Utah, the ford one, and we primarily were in focus STs and Fiesta STs
Oooh

Thatβs very cool
Oh god it doesn't embed
Oof
3.14
pls gib.
Oh yeah and IMO best color to get that car in
Was originally 350k
Guess the current price
Now 220k
If you look real hard
G490 scania

Iβd either get it in silica white or that orange
