You need to do at least 12 sets (90min) of theory for the basic.
You also get material to get through to prepare you for your theory exam. A set of up to 544 questions for basics and 933 extra.
Then you got to actually drive with your driving-teacher where one set takes 45min. That does not include driving-tests, which are pre to them to ensure you know how to thandle a vehicle. That also includes to know the major components of the vehicle and being able to perform an oil check, wiper-water and cooling. Also to identify what every light in the dashboard stands for and what you need to do if one lights up.
You need to do at least 12+2 special sets of actual driving in different categories (Over-countryside, autobahn, night) and additional based on how the teacher values your skills.
Then also a practical exam where you drive with your teacher and an inspector for about an hour to ensure that you can handle a car properly and take care of all you learned before.
Also you need to do an eye test, first aid course and overall the total process to get you a license usually costs 2 grand.
Not to forget how to properly secure an accident-site.

Although the Zoe is a good 30% larger than the up, the up does have way more useable interior space. The Zoe is for smaller people and those who do not have to transport things.
The up does have a flat bed when you flip the 2nd row over. The trunk door does offer almost the full size of the up.
