the dark days of driving my friend's Astro van
back in November, after the Prius was in an accident, it was at the shop getting repaired
and our shoddy job installing the fuel pump in the RX-7 came back to bite us in the ass
and I had to borrow my friend's second car for a couple days until we both had time to replace the fuel pump, correctly
and then I replaced the spark plugs on the RX-7 a couple days later because it was having ignition problems
and then those spark plugs got eaten alive
Then I got an angel messenger in the form of the shop calling me to tell me that the Prius was ready
and then I replaced 78% of the vacuum lines on the RX-7 (and bypassed a couple of the vac solenoids as well as disabling a couple of other ones). New spark bois (again), new spark wires, new dizzy cap, new dizzy rotor, and then grabbed my screwdriver and redneck tuned it.
I might make videos on some of stuff. Like actually film me doing shit. There's not much content on fixing/maintaining/upgrading/modding these cars, so may as well contribute

- Moderately higher ride height
- 6 speed from the LS 460
- Removal of the stupid "purse holder" for a proper transmission tunnel
- Optional 4WD
- Upgraded interior, ditching stupid features like the power antenna and follow the (at the time) market trend of integrating the antenna into the roof.

I just got off the phone with the shop. Apparently, there's a couple pieces of ceramic still in the engine. They attempted to extract them, but failed to do so. Told me that it shouldn't deal any damage and it just needs to get driven and they should blow out eventually; they also recommend to add seafoam to my gas because it should help lubicrate things and break the pieces loose. Diagnosis was free, can pick it up any time

2 stroke oil is a common fuel additive in the diesel worlds. Adds lubrication to the fuel which increases the longevity of fuel pump/injection pump parts and fuel injectors

-your engine shuts off
-time to move again
-take your foot off brake
-nothing happens (cause engine is off)
-you put foot on gas
-engine kicks on

I drove one of the newer Pacifica vans (rental) with auto start stop fairly extensively while on a business trip last summer. The engine shutting off and kicking back on was extremely inconsistent and I could never get used to it.
