I agree, those wheels really ain't great
I lost my pics of my e46 TiAg M3
Maybe later today Iβll dig through some old storage drives
TiAg?
Titanium silver
Ah
Fancy talk
Easier to type out than titanium silver tbh
I do get that
Is it that dirty?
Yup
Did yours get treated every year?
That would make it easier
Yep
:((((

When you're late for school
I love how it specifically blocks the driver's side.
Timmy isn't gonna know what hit him, and Bob the driver won't see what he hit.
@fair bronze Watching his 6-rotor video right now
oh damn he's actually doing it
billet 6 rotor turbo? Wonder what he's gonna put it in

6 rotors wut
if the 4 rotor was a meme, then what the F is this gonna be
he did say there is only 3 6 rotors right?
He said there were only six 6-rotor E-shafts made
shit quick edit to say 3 6 rotors
I want to see it go into a 12-cylinder supercar with a blown engine, honestly
Ooh, if he managed to find an old F430 or 458 body, that'd piss off so many Ferrari fans

it's like a needle in a haystack, and that haystack itself is a needle in a haystack
oh yeah, just get a car from Qatar, they are just gathering dust over there
@bold inlet oh shoot you had an e92 m3, my dad and i are looking at one and possibly picking it up next weekend
Just get an old Viper.
Arizona Highways - n.: 1. A tourist magazine; 2. The place you don't want to be following a rain storm if you value your windshield.
oof
Rich's video was really good
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
I might be a little late but about the 6 rotor, he did buy his corvette with frame damage and he could just do the same with another car, and the 458 would be soo cool if he did put a 6-rotor in it.

i kinda realized something
What did you realize?
i grew up in a mountain region with some snow issues every year, and live in a city now. And more people here have awd vehicles than in the mountains where its more common to have vw golf sized vehicles, i never really thought about it but thats an awful vehicle for winter there. And just why city people what are you using awd for, going up curbs?
and my english is again lost somewhere in the void
People feel safer in bigger cars
tbh the people that drive suvs in a city are making driving less save
i mean people be like wuu i got a bmw x5 aaaand dont use turning signals because bmw
Hm
Yes
they don't sell that anymire over here π
Sad
vw pls i want that
Scam
#givegermansthatvw :|
ohh old bmw that explains that turning signals thibgy
Is that so
π€·
f jetta for europe :(
i meaaan... we still have the audi a3 which looks.. similar π€
Hm
Jetta is a Mexican VW
Europe did get get the Mexican Jetta Mk6, but is was noticably worse than the Europe Golf. So nobody bought it, because due to more expensive shipping the cheaper Jetta was just as expensive (if not more expensive)
If you want a MQB sedan... Get an Octavia xD (even though that's a hatchback)
oof those LEDs sure are bright
Uhhh yeah they are, pretty amazing lol
Looks a bit off
Ah alright
I need to replace my plate lights on my car.
Or rather, the plastic lenses or whatever it is.
I am getting closer and closer to being fully LED inside an out hue
I should probably just get a set of these.
I would also like my car to be fully LED.
Not bad
Looks neat
Sucks that you can't really buy a LED headlight for the E46.
Nah, its way better to just xenon swap if you have halogens
Or projector swap if you're already on xenons
Yep
I guess it's like β¬200 for a kit.
I know lots of people find OEM xenons
And just wire it in then code it to the car
Pretty involved
This was one thing I found. https://www.retrofitlab.com/vehicle/bmw/3-e46/57#cardetails
Retrofitlab delivers top quality xenon products for car and motorcycle. From xenon lamp to shrouds, from bi-xenon projector to ballast and the newest LED lighting technology. A passionate team will help!
Neat
Are motorcycles allowed here?
sure
Anything that goes wroom-wroom. I guess.

Whatβs ur favorite car
Like
Suspension, headlights, diff to name a few.
Depends... crazy dream car or normal/achievable car?
Crazy dreams
Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition.
My car is just a humble E46 320i
My crazy dream car is actually not a car 1950ish Truck o3o
Ur the second one here @indigo coral
I donβt remember
Vehicles from 1950's were pretty crap.
Try and change my mind.
They at least drove like crap.
in terms of eventually attainble cars I'd like to get either a Genesis G70/Kia Stinger GT2 or a Tesla Model 3
Kia stinger ?
How many 1950s trucks do you own? lol
Or drive
350hp that nobody drive tho
what?
It might be a trap
Uh.... what?
Kia
I'm just saying that cars have become a lot better in 70 years.
There's nothing wrong with a Kia
Idk I donβt trust kia
Why not? lol
Kia's alright. They have pretty nice warranty these days.
GlassBomb is some ways theyve gotten better in others theyre terribke
what parts do you think are terrible?
Look at this beaut
Other than subjective design, what were better with 1950's cars?
The metal spikes in steering wheels helped remove bad drivers from existen e
Longer lasting
no.
not longer lasting
lol
you were lucky to hit 100k miles
now cars can easily do 300k+ with proper maitenence
Dream car daihatsu Mira
No many old cars rolled over mileage
Crumple zones? What's that?
new cars are regressing in reliability, I would aruge that the 90s were the best in terms of lasting forever
No
I'll argue that the best generation was just around the 2000's.
No the older the better
Bring out the model Ts
Daihatsu best reliability vehicles, with Toyota
When cars all started to get electronic aids (ABS, Traction, etc) along with air bags and decent crumple zones.
90s/2000s cars were before the finicky electronics
but has features that keep you safe
yes
but before literally everything is its own "module" and computer
Don't you love it when your 12v socket has its own computer? xD
Youd be safe in a 1950s chevy truck. If you hit another car youll just obliterate it.
no, because the energy from the accident wouldn't be absorbed by the car
it would be transferred into you
and you don't have abs, airbags, etc
No, the truck would just plow through any cars
that's not how physics works
Have you seen the 2009 Chevy Malibu vs 1959 Bel Air Crash Test video, Nibbles?
lol
All the energy will be transfered into thw weK car.
no LOL
This crash test between a modern sedan and the classic 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air shows just how far passenger protection has come in the last fifty years. Check...
Thats a belair
Theyre weak sauce
A chevy truck weighs like 5 times as much as other cars on the road
And the 2009 Malibu isn't weak sauce?
Just disable collisions on your car like in gmod then you can't ever have a crash
Glassbomb they were bother weak xD
Perfect @indigo coral
Modern cars are stupid safe these days.
Lets look at the physics if bother head to head going same speed, if both cars hit and stick together then we can use KE(newcar) + KE(old car) = total KE, then we can use that to see who absorbed all the energy. Assuming m(new care) = m
m(old car) = 5m
.5mv^2 - 2.5mv^2 = -2.0mv^2
We can see the bew car loses all its forward velocity and starts going backwards on collision. Which has the highest change in acceleration, while the old car barely changes velocity.
The energy is applied the same to b9th bodies. But because the old car is heavier that energy doesnt effect it as much
You forget that crumple zones, airbags, and other safety equipment are a thing these days.
Hell. Modern cars even slow you down by themselves if they predict that a crash is about to happen.
AEB, or whatever it's called. Automatic Emergency Brake?
Those wont stop the new car from accelerating backwards during the crash
Truck that I drive for work has it. Has gone off a couple of times.
Modern cars absorb the energy much better, resulting in a destroyed car but protecting the passengers
No
Youre wrong its not absorbing the energy better
It's changing how long the car takes to absorb the energy.
It's redirecting it away from the occupants of the car
No
Yes.
Yes it does...
my brain is imploding
The occupant still feels 100% of the energy
nope. Otherwise you'd die in even a moderate collision
Where does this energy magically go?
π Crumple π Zones π
^
That energy still eventually goes into you. It just takes longer
That's not how it works.
No, it doesn't. The car is absorbing the impact instead of the person.
The energy goes into busting up the rest of the car.
It takes energy to crumple up the car in the event of a crash.
Then how does the person stopwith the car if they didnt absorb the same amount of energy?
The person would keep accelerating
So the energy is literally wasted into the crumple zones.
And where does the seat belt get the energy to stop?
get yeeted right out the windshield
Your body still experiences the same amount of energy
No. It does not. That's now it it works.
Im sorry that is how reality works
The only thing crumple zones do increase the impulse TIME
Modern cars are designed to waste as much energy as possible crumpling up the cars.
@civic spoke just quit arguing with him, you can't fix stupid

Should reinforce your subframe while you're at it hue
My 170 hp probably isn't much of an issue. xD
Psssssssh that's prolly more than my car
But yeah, I know about the weak rear subframe in the E46
Impulse is the change in momentum in a time interval
If the time is really low you get hurt, like in an older car, because the energy gets transfered to you instantly.
While in a modern car with crumple zones the same amount of energy gets transfered to you but it takes a larger time
Meaning you wont get hurt as badly
Still both have you absorb the same amount of energy
Still both have you absorb the same amount of energy
Anyone know of any decent suspension and diff for a E46?
Still both have you absorb the same amount of energy
Still both have you absorb the same amount of energy
Still both have you absorb the same amount of energy
I can do the calculations and everything to prove you guys wrong if you want
Anyone know of any decent suspension and diff for a E46?
Oh now youre silent when youre proven wrong grr people act like they know physics for some reason
And then make fun of people who do because you guys dont understand it xP
1950's trucks are better. Got it.
If you drive a car 60MPH and slow to a stop, the car and you absorb the same amount of enegy as if you hit a brick wall. Because only enough energy to make you stop is applied.
If more or less energy were applied youd either accelerate backwarss or forward. The only way to get less energy applied to you from a crash is to not wear a seat belt
But then the ashpalt will apply that same amount of energy to you.
In certain situations 1950s trucks would be safer. Like hitting a car that is way lighter. But if you hit anything with substance itll suck
Yes because weight is the only important factor
Older cars are safer indeed
Graphic crash test between new and old Toyota Corollas shows why we need drivers in newer cars ROAD safety experts have renewed calls for drivers to get behi...
But more mass = More weight.
But on a place on earth with higher gravity, it wont change the calculations but wilk change weight
Or lower gravity.
Right. But the fact is that modern cars are designed to slow you down as much as possible before coming to a standstill. And passenger compartment is built as strong as possible to avoid unwanted intrusion.
I kind of want a 2020 3 series. :c
I can almost double that.
That is not your RX300 lol
@civic spoke i agree with that
What did I miss?
On the alter of Isuzu, Acura becomes nostalgic.
Whelp discord acting stupid again.
Okay that's a great commercial makes me wanna go buy one
What, a modified Isuzu Trooper?
Acura needs a compelling car.
Preferably a small hatchback. Maybe an Integra?
I won't argue against an RSX.
Don't know what any of that is
I just want a car that I don't have to take a loan out to get so 100% used for me xP
Ive got a scion xb 2005 o3o it's great
Save your money up, and in a few years you can.
It keeps going down the tubes since it costs about 4k a month to live here
Sounds like it's time to move.
Just trying to finish my degree then i'm getting the heck out of her
here*
California is the worst
Great, then you can save your money up, and buy a car with cash.
Mhm
I was working full time making a good amount of money bought a Kawasaki Versys 1000 brand new then decided to go to school full time. had to quit work and so yeah π
Gonna move to montana or wyoming or some place like that. It'll be nice
Own land a house and everything π
Would really love to have 300 acres of property, own my own forest.
At this point I just need a job.
Hopefully enough boomers will die off by then so I can afford a house.
Or the construction industry starts building houses that aren't aimed at the rich.
xD
Pfft just move somewhere cheap
Their are plenty of places that will pay you to move their in USA
dying towns and such
@dense shard yes move to π³π± xD
as long as you can offer a service.
A dying town has no job opportunities.
And a big property isn't great when ISPs refuse to service your area and the closest grocery store is a quarter gas tank away.
But wait, you bought a brand new car without having a job? π€
Hush
It was my choice
Idea was I'd have a job shortly afterwards
I couldn't return it after that didn't pan out... Dammit orz
Always better to buy used... >.>;
Dying towns have unlimited job opportunities actually. Just get satallite internet and code online. or make product and sell online. work consulting online. almost any job can be done 100% from home anywhere. The other jobs like plumbing, and manual labor is still needed
Just get a loan and invest, dude!
or if it's financed or not
That's how you lose money
It's better to make your own money and invest in yourself
You tell that to our friend Comic Sans
Sans? o3o
the font
Megalomania intensifies
I didn't go into debt to buy my car.
And I'm not gonna work as a telemarketer.
And yes my 'rolla is damn good looking, and pretty great to drive.
Im 29 so you be the judge xD
I got my Prius 100% free, no strings attached (thanks dad). The RX-7 cost $2k to buy, and is now at about $1k (at least) in parts to get into it's current state
@civic girder Sounds like you got a great deal on both
How are you all getting free cars lol
Parentsβ’οΈ
but yea, my dad wanted a new car and I had to get my license so I could go into the ANG, so he was like "well, I won't need this car anymore, so uh, here"
Yea, I got the best deal on a Prius ever because of that. 72k miles when I took the keys, and in immaculate shape
thanks
My driving instructor had a VW Polo for manual lessons and a mk2 Prius like yours for automatic lessons, I got to drive the Prius when someone who had an appointment after me did automatic lessons
It was actually pretty nice to drive
Yea, I like it. It's not sporty, and the throttle response is trash; but it handles confidently and goes when you want it to
Rode in a 2017 Prius and it wasn't as slow as I thought it'd be
The newer Prius has AWD as an option
i feel like awd would wreck efficiency wouldnt it?
Not really.
and the new gen 4s also have a beefier electric system and the 1.8L
It just adds a motor
I know the FWD rx300 gets significantly better fuel economy
It's an electric motor out back.
The AWD system only works to about 15 mph.
oh
gas cars drink gas like an alcoholic with full time AWD
yup
electric cars aren't hurt as much by AWD, especially if it's only part time
One of my friends has a mk3 for commuting and it's pretty good
screenshot earlier of mine ^^ 16.6avg, including multiple 3k+ mile road trips
usually ~15mpg per tank
in my moms car
The mk3 Prius interior makes me cringe. Looks like the 2000s wanted their interior back in there
But I also have owned a mk2 for 4 years and became quite familiar with the styling since my dad bought it brand new in '08
That is terrible mpg
I quite like the 3rd generation.
I had to convert it to get the image
Has that swoopy styling inside that's absent now.
that's my RX-7's mpg without vacuum advance lmao. 15mpg at best
I have yet to get good readings with vac advance hooked up maybe because I follow the mantra "A redline a drive keeps the apex seals in the rotors"
I guess you do get many smiles per gallon
yus
I really like how it drives and handles. Just needs rear discs, an LSD, new suspension bushings, and emissions delete for more noise
woot woot
An FC owner in my state thinks that his local junkyard's totaled FB is a GSL or GSL-SE
which if it is, I'm going to go steal it. GSL rear ends are LSD and rear disc
That would make things a lot easier for you
yea. DIY rear disc is expensive as fuck since you have to custom fab caliper mounts
I could live with the open diff as I won't be racing, but it would make it handle better
It certainly would
and the only other option I'd have would be to shorten a Ford 8.8
Nice
but a bolt in rear out of a higher trim RX-7 is painfully easy
err responded nice to something old o3o
so fuck custom calipers and chopping a Ford rear
Yeah why not choose the easy route
I love calipers! especially Starrett Dial Calipers
rats nest delete, smog pump removal, and cat delete will take care of most of the emissions. idk if I'll mess with the exhaust header
That would be a big nono here in Europe
It's also a big nono in some parts of the US
but where I live there are absolutely no fucks given about emissions
I don't think it makes that much of a difference
π€·ββοΈ The stock header is basically a pre-cat
it's designed to keep the main cat from overheating
it's called a "thermal reactor"
burns some of the unburnt fuel before it reaches the cat to alleviate stress on the cat
and with the smog pump, the exhaust can be rerouted back into the carburetor for recycling
Should be fine in that case
Yea. Since I'm not hunting for horsepower or going racing I think the stock header will be fine
without the cat it will be hella loud anyways and should give me a decent bump in power
stock, with all the emissions shit, the 12A (what I have) makes roughly 100hp at the wheels
and makes about 103 lb-ft at the wheels
hp is at 6800-7k rpm
torque is at 4500rpm
Not bad since it's light and small
the stock Nikki carburetor is a 4 barrel. It runs two of the barrels (the primaries) through most of the rev range, but the other two (the secondaries) open up around 4500-5k rpm (dependent on throttle input) for a kick of power (I call it bootleg V-TEC)
Exactly
and it has excellent hp per litre too
Because rotary lol
plus 50/50 weight distribution because of the rotary size/weight/mounting position
yep
they sold better than the Datsun 280z and Porsche 240, which were it's main competition
You mean the Porsche 914?
maybe, idk my Porsches very well
ah, it was the Porsche 940 that the FB competed with
and then when the FB got the 13B in the GSL-SE, it competed with the n/a Porsche 944
idk my Porsches, lol
I somewhat do
944, 60s Carrera, 959, 911, 918, that's about all I know
100hp is perfect for the car, honestly
It's confident and predictable, I don't get scared when I put my foot down, and I know it likes it when I string out the tach
it's so slow that you can bang out gears and not even exceed the speed limit
In some ways, I'm almost more confident driving it rather than my Prius, lol
It's also great how it's created an inside joke with my friends and acquaintances about how slow it is. They'll be like "wanna race bro?"
and I'm like "hell yea, I'll lose to you"
I love it, and it's instilled a passion for slow cars in me. Anything much faster than this car and I actually lose interest, lol
i like having some punch for merging on highway and stuff
Some of the ramps here I avoid because my car is so slow its dangerous to merge there
Every ramp is dangerous here. No one moves over for you, even if the other two lanes are completely empty
they expect you to slow down or speed up
and when people are merging, often times people in the middle lane will speed up to keep you from getting over to yield for merging traffic
its truly terrible highway design
and then most people merging are idiots, so they won't speed up or slow down
@indigo coral what state are you in again?
kinda makes sense. Washington is mostly mountainous and foresty, right?
Depends.
It's very diverse
Eastern side is very flat and hot in the summer, cold in the winter. West side is wet and hilly.
seperated by the Cascades
I know West Virginia and Virginia have a lot of mountainous/hilly and/or foresty areas. They have some weird ass highways and interchanges there.
there's an interchange here they've been working on for 25 years
doesn't surprise me at all
Slow cars are the best
there's some roads on the way to work (like main roads that see heavy traffic all the time) that just receive basic repair work that does little to fix how shit they are, or just makes them worse
if I could pick, I'd make a few adjustments to a smaller highway near me to make traffic virtually disappear
WOT?
wide open throttle
Wide open throttle
lmao
See full speed in my car is about 50% speed of a normal car π€ π€ π€
I can do that in both my cars, sort of
the Prius is a CVT and heavily restricted and controlled for emissions/efficiency, so WOT is kinda weird and has a give and take kind of feel
the one time I floored it from a stop it just started revving freely and then slammed into gear
so
not doing that anymore
but I did notice something in the Prius today that I've never noticed before. The VVT kick
VVT KICK IN A PRIUS
it was mostly CVT kick, but I did notice the VVT
Wew lad
You wanna know what made me wanna kick myself today
This pinnacle of German engineering
I also hear more engine noise in the Prius with the repair work than before
I think the aftermarket hood is thinner and has less noise damepening
OE hood was fucked in the accident
imagine having a MAF
that sounds like sketchy german emissions tech
my friend's mid 2000s BMW has like 18 billion catalytic converters on it
It also has 16 spark plugs
what the fuck
On a V8
It makes sense to have 4 spark plugs on a 2 rotor, because rotary is different
but fucking 2 plugs per cylinder on a cylinder engine
The coils themselves cost 150, so its basically 1000$ in coils
wow
does it have individual coils per cylinder?
I would shoot myself then
like, the Prius has individual coils; but it also only has 4 cylinders and 4 plugs
and it's a cheapo 1.5L japanese engine
Yes
I mean, the RX-7 technically has individual coils, but it's really weird because 80s tech and rotary
oh god, torx is the worst thing ever
My friend's Mazda CX 7 is very broken rip
at least the Prius just has a single 10mm bolt holding the coil on
what happened to his CX-7?
hes not super into cars but said something about timing chain damage, and turbos eating oil.
oh god
Rip.
what year is it?
07
ok, so at the tail end of the Ford Mazdas
kinda makes more sense
but that's still a big rip
third car in a year π
holy shit
they've got bad luck
yea, clearly, damn
first one was some subaru that blew its head gasket
typical
idk enough about Hondas to know if that's normal
and idk much about non-rotary Mazdas, especially those that aren't the modern ones, the pre-Ford ones, or Miatas
good to know
Honda manuals are pretty good
if that's an 09 that died, my friend's 13 Civic is probably gonna die in a few years, lmao
as with literally anything
that's true
i feel like i don't take good enough care of my car
cause I see everyone always working on shit and I just get in and drive it...
He'll probably be fine, depending on how it was treated by the PO. But my friend takes good care of it, so he's probably fine
9/10 its cause something's broken
I just get in and drive the Prius.
I think the Prius has like 10k miles oil change interval, lol
I should check the maintenance schedule, actually
BMWs are like 15k, but I do every 5k for the X5 and 3k for my E30
I think I'm coming up on spark plugs sooon
coolant is fresh because of the new radiator
and apparently the Prius has an oil cooler, lol
I didn't think it did because it's a fucken 1.5L slow boi
Weird that a Prius does tho
15k interval sounds like a good way to kill your engine
15k interval sounds like a good way to kill your engine
ugh
i hate discord sometimes
Rip discord
yea, idk, the shop that did the repairs told me they replaced the oil cooler and radiator alongside the core support
I forgot to take a pic of the Mercede's oil for you guys
But it was BLAAAACK after 5k
π
mine was brown-ish
Mostly because I'm running a high detergent oil rn
the RX-7s oil was fairly black, but some of it was god knows how old
oof
though I'm not sure if I shuold be concerned that it was not translucent like it was when it goes in
π€
it was mostly fresh oil, and it was brown-ish if you got some on your hands; but overall it looked fairly black
dip stick is showing nice healthy oil when I check it, so it's doing fine now that the old sludgy oil is out
Psssssh anything is possible
but I guess my seals could be fucked and got replaced by hard packed sludge carbon
lol
Also people who say italian tuneup doesn't work are either DI owners or just haters
Cause italian tuneup works for sure
italian tuneup?
ah, you mean the rotary tuneup
when i was changing oil i found a chunk of carbon in the oil filler hole thing
i picked it out but i figure that's a bad thing
I've talked to other RX-7 owners who got their cars off people who let them sit or didn't rev them. Engine smokes like hell, smells awful, and barely runs; but they just rev the shit out of them and drive WOT everywhere, and then they stop smoking, run normal, and smell normal after like a week
yep
what are headgaskets, lmao
Oof
π
π
is it bad that I kinda want an older subaru
If Subaru decides to update their 10 year old engine platform, then I might consider
But they've been using the EJ25 since like the stone age
I'd be looking at A series Subies, or the notoriously unreliable SVX
YOOOO
svx is kind of cool
they are sexy as hell and cool as fuck, but they are the German car reliability of Japan
Are they really that bad?
they work great until they don't, and then are expensive to fix
The glass is crazy expensive
If you take care of it it won't be that bad
People can get 200k out of a rotary, pretty sure you could beat that in an SVX
It's unfortunate the E60 M5 is a reliability nightmare
I'd learn stick to drive that car
oh yea, don't crack the glass in an SVX or you will learn what broke means the hard way
imo, learning stick in a Mazda sports car is actually the best way
or something old, like 80s or older
Miatas are pretty easy to learn and super fun to drive, same with RX-7s
I've been trying to convince my dad to get an E46 330i or something to learn stick in
idk my BMWs so that means nothing to me, lol
Oof there's an '87 M3 on CL here...
Manual, Coupe and 85k miles
42k though
yikers
what the fuck
German car prices suck
that's worse than an FD RX-7 that is fantastic shape
Note to self: never ever ever buy a German car
-_-
wtf
I like slow
I don't
lol
220hp is not enough for my car tbh, 8.8 seconds to 60 is a bit ridiculous
I mean, I'm just voicing my opinions
when even midrange cars can do it in low 7s
there are cars that do 0-60 in under 9 seconds? kek
model s -> 2.21s
If the internet is to be believed, the Prius is slower than the RX-7
by an entire second
9 seconds 0-60 RX-7, 10.4s in the Prius
this is my kind of car, lmao
jesus, the NB Miata does 0-60 in 7.9 seconds
no wonder I think it's a little too fast
As much as I love the FD for being a rotary and because of how sexy it is, I'll probably never really consider buying one. For one, they are expensive as fuck for no legit reason, and for two they are quite fast. I'd have to drive one to even decide that tho
when i took the model 3 sr+ for a drive it was pretty decently quick
because I am used to rotaries, so the FD might be predictable and confident enough that I could not feel scared
not slamming you into the seat fast but decent
how much power do they make in chill mode?
idk for sure
think its like 7 seconds to 60 in chill though
so a non-performance model S long range goes to 7.2 seconds
hmmm, I probably wouldn't like it then. And not even necessarily because of the 60 time
more so the massive torque
would probably scare me too much
and that's where I might be able to stomach an FD, rotaries have never heard of torque
you'd die in a p100d then
quickest tesla I've been in was the Model 3 performance and it was still PLENTY quick
yea prolly
I quite dislike cars that can move me in my seat
I like slow and confident. I like being in control without fear of losing control or not being able to stop
and that's why I like the RX-7 so much. the way I drive, and the way it deals with that, gives me confidence
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
model 3 performance i rode in, up to 35
dont think he had it completely pinned either
deadly car crash from a tesla truck
that is waaaay too fast for me
the RX-7 would've hit 35 all the way down at the speed limit sign, assuming I got a good start, didn't fuck up the gear change, and pinned it
I've had CR-Vs out accelerate me with my foot to the floor, lmao
nah, if you have decent hp, you've already won
4 speed auto
My friend's 1995 Astro van and 1989 Crown Vic both handed my ass to me
idk would be an interesting (and slow) race
lol
mines slow as hell until 3k then it picks up a bit, but since the gears are so long, when it shifts up it drops the rpms below 3k and has to slowly climb again
lol
bruh, that Astro van is quicc
he floored that sucker and it flew
the Vic was a closer race, but it was still clearly faster
I have a strong suspicion there's a engine swapped Saturn Astra in my city
because I had a bit of a stop light race with one, and it completely destroyed me
(and this is from a stop up to the speed limit, no illegals)
and sounded pretty good doing it
same
the Saturn Astra in the US didnt have any hot hatch versions, but Europe has a VXR version
Anyone here ride motorcycles? o3o
I drive a 31 year old BMW that's like a LED parts catalog
I want LED lights on the 7. It would make me feel more confident in other people's ability to see me
I still need a little bit more to be fully LED
Running lights, brake lights, and turn signals
Then I'll be fully LED lol
my led headlights are so much better than the old halogens its not even funny
say that to the guys you blind with them
Just make sure your lights are set up correctly so that the light doesn't blind people xD you can have bright lights just at the right angle.
It's people who put bulbs that shouldn't be in the same head light casing causing the light to bleed into oncoming traffics eyes
I get blinded by brand new unmodified cars. Even in my Prius where I sit higher. Very few LED cars have the lights setup properly
And depending on the car, halogens are just fine. My FB has halogens, and in some ways I think they are much much better than the 30 year newer halogens in the Prius
Yep
QC looks about right.
hands you a steel ball bearing go test out the windows!
I'm not throwing anything at a truck with welded on steel plates.
Chances are the guy is armed.
found the side camera
Monte it's fine it can withstand it it's unbreakable
That's going to be the new idiotic thing for kids to do to get famous on social media. Once Tesla truck comes out kids will livestream themselves breaking the windows with ball bearings...
Design Skill: A Comparison
Tesla: Cutout is sized for the cable to fit inside, sheltered, and follow its contours
Lincoln: Rips off Tesla's design, but makes the cutout a little too small for the cable, so it sticks out awkwardly.
Ford: "I'm not even going to try"

LOOK. AT. THIS. THING!
@vincent13031925 @28delayslater @Kristennetten @ValueAnalyst1 @AlterViggo https://t.co/kuJtFSDNzp

uhm, offtopic much?
funny though
in relation to elon winning the court case right?
yea
Looks like a warthog from Halo xD
It looks massive, because it is massive.
What was Fred expecting
Night vibes are great
I need to get bluetooth in my car.
Issa very nice feature
I need a vcr
Though depending on your year, you can install aux with a BMW retrofit kit
I did it in our X5
Yeah, I think I might be able to do that. Need to figure out what variant of headunit I have.
vcr
Business CD is the one that supports it iirc
At least, that's what it was on the X5
Super easy install, hardest part is finding where to put it
X41 is better
that truck looks even worse actually in the wild WTF
This is where I installed it on the X5
I want to be able to keep mine closed.
Mmmmm
Well I chose that because it was the easiest spot that's easily hideable
Also your interior is SUPER clean lol
Thanks π
I wish I had cloth
My leather seats are too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer
I bought my car with 71,000 km's on it like 4 and a half years ago.
Dang super low
I'm up to 101,000-ish now.
Must've been owned by some old dude
Still super low lol
Really cool
Mfw an E46 has like less than half the mileage of my E30
most of them are more than mine here
I want snow agaaaain, this was like 2 years ago
2020 is going to be the year where I want to sort out most of my car.
Also I spray my undercarriage liberally
I should do that also.
My undercarriage has very little rust due to this
mine does, plus my car is light and likes to slide everywhere
Same
I give my car a quick pressure wash with some degreaser once a week.
Very decently clean
I would love to do that but i dont have a pressure washer at the moment
Mine isn't bad either.
Don't have a full pic but the rest looks like this
Also BMW undercoating is surprisingly thick lmao
Held up over 31 years
I can't wash mine on public streets.
Incredibly clean
So I wash it at a local fuel station that has wash bays.
That's fair
They also have lifts that you can use to work on the car.
My pressure washer is too powerful for my poor paint
4000 psi of pure fury
I need an electric one
I should be using this when I clean my car in the winter times.
the only wash bay that i knew of was bought out
You missed a call from ItsYaBoiBatman10793 that lasted a few seconds.
There are a couple of wash bays around my area. But the closest one is 2 km's away.
I don't wash the underside of my car in the winter cause they don't salt the roads or anything π
scammed
I think I need more weight in my trunk
Eh should be fine, Nokians are great
I'm surprised of how good my Hakka 3's are thus far.
Ayyy same here
I was the first one at my tire shop to ask for them
Been happy ever since
I bought a new set last month.
It was maybe 4,500 SEK for the set mounted and everything.
I really want bluetooth in my car.
And a decent setup for charging my phone.
Thinking of maybe retrofitting the old phone holder, and see if I can make it hold a smartphone.
Mmmmm
Wide
thiccccc
Now imagine a Cybertruck with double tires and wide arches
The Tesla Cybertruck has everyone talking. Today Doug DeMuro is explaining more thoughts on the Tesla Cybertruck, and I'm responding to some of the rebuttals...
It'll be super big.
It's big enough as it stands.
Honestly I still don't see the point
Point of what?
Of the Cybertruck
oh, harness a demand.
Trucks/crossovers are huge right now.
I imagine building either would be a nice sales boost.
Granted that was with a conventional shape in mind.
I just hate talking about the damn thing lol
People do it all the time already
MK is online
the Cybertruck is meant to replace Model 3s
oh no... did people actually make that arguement?
lolwut
Trucks/crossovers are huge right now.
I can't really see why...
People: "We must lower the CO2 emission/saving the environment"
Also people: buying more fuel consuming vehicles
Watching Doug's videos.
dear god
@stoic ledge Yeah I don't get it either
Even though it's electric, it's not as efficient as it could be
You get a commanding view of the road, nice. And you don't have to mess up your hips/knees getting in and out of of it.
They're more comfortable to use and live with.
Why π€
It might be pretty aerodynamic but it's heavy
I'll just sit here with my 14 mpg
What do you mean why.
If you are 55 years old.
You aren't as spry and flexible as you used to be.
The step in height on a crossover is just more comfortable for old people.
My crossover is nice because it's got fantastic visibility
You get a commanding view of the road, nice. And you don't have to mess up your hips/knees getting in and out of of it.
Commanding view of the road is useless when everybody drives one xD
Well if you're older, ok. But many 20-30-... Year olds buy one to, they don't need one
Cross-overs are basically raised hatchbacks, which are heavier, slower, consume more fuel and more expensive xD
No one cares about weight, everything is fast enough.
And the fuel consumption honestly isn't that much worse.
Keep in mind most boomers are used to the 70s where you had something 5 times larger, with half the power, and a quarter of the fuel economy.
20-30 year olds are buying used.
Older people are buying new.
Automakers don't cater to a used market.
