17 Honda Pilot
That GMC is huuuuge
Iโve always wanted a truck
Why 3 cars?
Ah ok
Yeehaw
Skiddy skiddy skid skid
Braaaap
What car
Focus Sedan iirc
Those used to come with turbo diesels as well
(A firetruck is a car, so I guess it belongs here?) But the Arctic Firetruck video is about to be dethroned from its long-standing most viewed title on LTT. WE NEED TO KEEP IT AT #1 ๐
Ehm
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=65542 This thing is hilarious. It not only drives forward and back (with siren and lights) but it also has full functionality o...
@pallid sky ^
pls no ping
ok, just keep ๐ in mind when you go to ๐
80s baby
Love it
Is that... An aux cassette tape ๐
That's one way
I had an bluetooth cassette when I owned my v70
That's another way
Bluetooth casette :lul:
Much better quality than 3.5
What
Unless the one you had with a 3.5mm jack was crap and your bluetooth one isn't, I don't see how that's supposed to sound better
yeah bcs the bluetooth one could sound even worse than a good 3.5mm one
interference and all
aux cassette yes
because I got an early 90s radioo
didn't want one of those goofy blue or red LED modern ones
Interesting
I've not had any issues with it, and it's the cheapest adapter I found at Walmart
Anyone have any idea how to replace the whole sound system in my car, need new front speakers and maybe(maybe....) a sub, my head can put out 100w, its pretty new, but idk if i can just solder new speakers onto the existing wires or if i need to redo the whole wiring. A sub might come later if i cant find some decent full range speakers that have a good bit of bass
you can reuse the wires
@jagged coyote cheers, just thought i would check, i think that they max side i can get is 6.5" but finding some decent drivers that wont sound like dog shite might be hard
i'm so glad there's a car chat
this makes my day
horrible edit, but
dream car
Cadillac CTS-V Ute, spliced with the bed of a Holden Commodore VF, but also EV
Neither are built on the same platform (unfortunately) but both have shared a platform with the Chevrolet Camaro at some point in time
we gon clean this mom wagon soon....
...why does it have a giant pushbar/grille guard lol
Kangaroos
functionality over looks ๐
it's a bull bar mate
fair enough.
I live in northwestern USA so its an unusual sight to be sure, aside from the ones on cop cars
(which, might I add, are fantastic for spotting cops from a distance)
ironically, urban cops here don't use bull bars
and i drive a car that cops use too
spotting them can be annoying but every time i see a bmw or a vf commodore with roof racks i get a heart attack thinking its a cop lmfao
Lol
here they mostly use Explorers and Tauruses
with a few other things
(State Patrol has Tahoe and Impala too)
Silver gray paint looks good in rain for some reason
oo nice

Just cleaned the Territoryโs
Yeehaw
Also spotted this โ91-โ96 Jaguar XJS V12 in my neighborhood, thatโs the original registration plate
BEEEEEAD
Honda Just Changed the Game
Too bad I don't have the patience to listen to Scotty's rambling.
every manufacturer should have a full-size truck imo
I think Mitsubishi would be a very big contender
their Triton is a very decent truck, third most popular ute in australia
there's more than 4
Ford, Chevy/GMC, Toyota, Nissan, RAM
At this point prices of trucks have become stupid. I'd rather have an affordable option instead of options that start well north of 20k.
5-6
Chevy and GMC are functionally identical.
Practically if you don't count chrome and more leather.
Toyota Australia and Nissan Australia are currently investigating whether or not it would be economical to bring the Tundra and Titan to Australia through factory RHD
Our consumers need more V8 trucks that can actually tow, and not for the prices we have now
idk man RAM is making a killing down here
The Tundra and Titan are NOT going to be cheap.
$80k for a 1500 Express is chump change for new car buyers
people spend $132k all the time on VDJ200R Saharas
That's on them.
hell, there are PCOR Supertourers around that cost $85-$500,000
that's cheap as hell lmao
even AUD that's cheap as hell
a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost F-150 here is very expensive
cheaper to just get a 5.0
personally i just want a LWB F-100 from the late 70s
not ecoboost.
Bog standard NA V6.
A pick up truck should be utility first. Sadly the US market has forgotten that.
regardless, i think Mitsubishi would benefit very well from a full size truck
RAM is dominating the Australian full size truck market but HSVs conversions of the Silverado 1500 next year will probably give them a huge contender
A factory RHD full size would immediately make an effect here as it did when we got the Brazilian F-250s
Nissan is the last man standing for small affordable trucks.
If only by virtue of laziness and not updating their Frontier for 15 freaking years.
Y'all still get the D40 Navara (Frontier for yall) yeah?
we stopped getting the D40 a while back
It's cheap, but old, but outdated as fuck.
because they introduced the D23 (NP300) here
one of the best mid-sized trucks on the planet imo
i like it more than the last gen hilux
It's selling in the US.
But I'm pretty sure that's based largely on steep discounts the dealerships are handing down.
You know what y'all need? Not just more mid-sized offerings like the old D40 Navara/Frontier, but more utility-based (like you said) options.
Here, EVERY truck (besides the American imports, because they're all the middle-luxury trim dual cab 4x4s with moderately long wheelbases) has the option of a single cab on an open chassis, which is as utility as it can get
my fiance's father drives a 2018 Nissan Navara NP300
beautiful ute
they're due for a facelift next year already
No more trucks.
I just want a nice good affordable car.
Half the US market is a truck/crossover. No more.
it's the same here
but trucks are nice anyway
as long as we can eliminate crossovers balance will be restored to the universe
Right now the only people that will be laughing at me when gas goes to 5 dollars a gallon are Tesla and Prius owners.
@dense shard Saw a new corolla hatch in a really nice blue today
I finally saw one today.
3rd hatchback that isn't mine since I bought my car... actually 4th.
More rare than I expected.
speaking of hatchbacks
there's a correctly badged Holden (Opel) Astra outside my house
nice
it's sad that my car is technically a crossover
based on the Ford Falcon FG sedan platform
I've got one of the very first crossovers
on god? give us a look
1999 Lexus RX 300 (first year, very early production)
early crossovers from ages ago are pretty aight
there are crossovers way older than that but lexus is always a plus
luxury toyota got me actin strange
its one of the first modern (ish) styled curvy ones
technically the old jeep cherokee and stuff was a crossover but its square
the xj?
think so
the patrician's choice of 4x4

Reminds me of this incident: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hIsWx5qbQs
The driver Jeremy Foley and co-driver Yuri Kouznetsov walked away from this epic crash at the Devil's Playground section of the 2012 Pikes Peak International...
american or spanish built?
because literally any pickup truck will fold like that if you go over gvm lmao
it happens to navaras, rangers, colorados, tritons, anything
Idk xD
But no those have rust issues on the chassis, causing them to fold
Even without load
Note to self:
Dont try and skid out of a car wash with wet tires.
Your gonna have a bad time
A semi-truck with 650hp, 2700Nm of torque and up to 720 kWh of battery capacity
weak
It has to use hydrogen?
ah, so there will be the battery electric and hydrogen versions
battery version gets 250 miles using 720kwh
the hydrogen can get up to 750 miles
Yes there will be 2 versions
hydrogen will be better in all aspects besides running cost
Yes, but saving time on trips is also worth wile
Stopping every 2.5-3 hours to recharge for hours... that's expensive af
yea, gotta go with a semi that has a much longer battery range than that
then you stop much less than this one that only does 250
They don't say what that range is with towing at what weight
I'd assume max
like, the 250 mile is with the maximum weighted trailer
Yeah idk the exact specs et, and how it's measured ๐
yea I was looking for them
For local distribution, for in town, to supply grocery stores etc, they would be perfect
yea for inner city/suburb distribution they would be good
Curious to see the (lease) pricing
I did see 7 year/700k km is going to be their lease arrangement
Damn, so, Model 3s can do 250kw charging, and they have a 75kwh pack...
Tesla basically said their semi will have around a 1 mwh pack
Does that mean it could do 3.33 MW charging
๐ค
that would be one thiccc charger
you would need 2 megapacks on site to power it
no reason you can't go even higher with the voltage ๐
Yes but still
3.3 MW is one big boii wind turbine
https://en.wind-turbine-models.com/turbines/695-vestas-v126-3.3
datasheet โข power curve โข photos โข brochures โข models
ehh, just put up some solar and wind nearby and ur good
To charge 1 truck ๐
Oof even more batteries
That wind turbine only generates 3.3MW with wind speeds of 11m/s (40km/h or 25mph)
Tesla is guaranteed $420 (revenue) for every 2 megapacks they drain
well, that's dependent upon location in the US
there's a reason why the wind power is placed where it is
That's only 2.4MW
Yes, but you'll need charging stations throughout the country
north and midwest is where all the wind is at
yea, so you would install more solar in those areas
also, you could tap into the grid and just have a thicc transformer on site
and build out solar elsewhere and power the grid with that
That's one big field of solar panels, just to recharge 1 Megapack
4 acres per MW
One field of 63*63 meter
Oof
but those r 2013 numbers
I just asked Google for averages xD
fun note, you could install 3 to 5 times more solar power than needed in existing developed parts of california than what they require
Oof nice
but yea, they just gotta throw some solar down on some businesses and in people's roofs and call it a day
not a fan of the solar roof?
But those in-roof systems are a fire hazard xD
No, not really
big think
Walmart dropped the suit
Many reported solar panel fires were with in-roof systems
I don't know about those in roof systems
The last year, only in-roof systems caught fire in the Netherlands ๐
who made them?

They didn't list a specific brand
Roofs with solar panels are safer than normal roofs!
๐ง

So the Nissan leaf with the solar spoiler is the safest car ever?! #logic

Solar panels on the spoiler make it go even faster
how long until we have production cars that are driving solar cells
like the whole body is a solar panel
They also didnโt have any budget for a designer anymore
the solar panels tho
it's going to be expensive
maybe not $100k, but no less than $50k
There arenโt that many on that car
still more than 0 solar panels
I have no idea what the price is going to be lol
Itโs definitely not going to be a bestseller
even the Hyundai with solar panels isn't worth it
honestly just convert a Honda Civic CRX to an EV
be way cheaper
and cooler because 80s Honda
The CRX is getting expensive though
though the Hyundai is probably like 34km a year or something stupid like that
don't ruin an 80s car with EV swap
^
There's a CRX that's been sitting at my local Ford dealership for like 4 years
at the back of their second lot
Get a first gen Insight for that instead
yeah save the Civic for a DOHC ITB 4 cylinder of some kind
150 ish hp and really light
nah, you leave it stock motor and put ITB on it
twin cams and aluminum
or, better yet, put a IDA carb on it and rock the succ succ noise
how bout this
hey a model S ripoff
oh look another Chinese knockoff that looks good
upcoming battery-powered coupe
has 4 doors
will probs be available on aliexpress tho
more like $600
even if it was 600
or just burn oil and not care
How dare you
I've seen that 240 before
can get a 1080ti for 80ยข on wish.com - but you get stupid shit like erasers or something in the mail lmao
buy a sicc 6.3 litre v12
Wait really?
look at the roofline
Omg
it's one hell of a bodykit
you should get your panels painted, lol
I low-key want a 300zx ๐ I see them about and they look quite nice
I've got my dream car already. Last thing I need for my life to be complete is a rotary swapped truck built for towing use
That panel was sticker bomb
why not a REPU?
That's so badass
you think I can find a REPU outside California that isn't rusted to fuck
I'll never understand why you would voluntarily put a rotary in anything
@civic girder You could get a Cybertruck and save the planet!
You'll spend the rest of your days fixing it
lol
Cybertruck still gonna cost 10x more upfront cost than a rotary truck, lmao
totally
I'd so rotary swap that cybertruck
get a loan
what drugs do you think I take.....
have you seen what that guy that works at Angel Motorsports just did to his REPU? he tried to blow up the big turbo 13B he had in it, the wastegate broke off the manifold and the engine was still alive. Rotaries are reliable
im thinking of going for this badboy
I'm just patiently waiting for 12k Stingers
Rotaries are reliable if you take care of them. They'll still die before a piston engine, but they are quite reliable within their service life
Ooh new Mazda 3
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
an LS would be ded from that
i've seen it a few times around and it looks so damn good
I was at the Dutch launch event, it looks really nice in person
Like, people call rotaries unreliable, but the engine has never given me a problem in my RX-7. The fuel system on the other hand...........
@civic girder The price is in the pic ๐ โฌ25.500
oh, lmao
I think it's mostly the RX-8 that gave rotaries the unreliable name
yeah the oil injectors were too small on the RX8
and that was mainly because most people who bought them couldn't take care of them like they should be
I wonder if the dealers instructed them on that at all
yea, the Renesis was redesigned, and it was slightly inferior (all in the name of emissions and economy)
they might not have, idk
my mom almost bought a Mazda Cosmo as her first car, but my grandpa wouldn't let her because rotary
dude
the guy accidentally set it on fire the week after that
oof
yikes
that was in the early 80s
My mom's car is trying to set itself on fire lol
my RX-7 just has "old car that sat too long" syndrome
I'm still finding all the little stuff that is starting to fail now that it's moving again, and doing all the maintenance that was skipped
whenever you turn on the heated seats it stinks of burning plastic/burning electronics
I want a Eunos Cosmo, the big 3 rotor sedan that's wider than any car ever produced
So we don't use them anymore
I'd rather have a Cosmo 110s, but I could likely never afford one
but if the opportunity arose, I would probably jump on it
an electric GM is probably going to be more reliable, but knowing GM they'll probably cheap out on the wiring and all their EVs are going to suffer the same fate as the flaming Teslas
most likely
fire risk is a big ... drawback of owning one
But theyโre so safe!
I'd probably still buy it because insurance exists, but it would make me a bit nervous, knowing theres a significant chance my car burns down lol
it'd either be shoddy wiring, defective batteries, or a trash tier cooling system
or software issues
software issues shouldn't cause a hardware failure
oh trust me they can
unless your software is just that bad
have you never tried to overclock a cpu?>
can easily f*ck it with voltage
BMS software
yes, but batteries often have voltage protection built into them
and if not, they should have a voltage regulator attached to them
you'd have to have multiple software failures to fuck a battery
idk about teslas, they use a completely different battery chemistry and structure. it's to their benefit in some regards (unbeatable range etc), but their chemistry is FAR FAR more volatile
than anyone else's
yea, 5 quarts of motor oil and 2 quarts of 2 stroke costs as much as gas
and the way I drive/fill up, that totals to the same cost as some people filling from half tank
you burn THAT MUCH?!
and I premix about 0.4 ounces of 2 stroke for every gallon
i just add some 5w30 when it starts to get low
๐ฆ ๐ฉ ?
ideally it'd burn 0 oil but it takes a bit
Pretty sure I have an internal oil leak, but with a bit of stop leak mixed in the oil it's mostly fine
ive heard stopleak = bad idea
and i don't feel like tearing down the engine to rebuild it
so... 0.5quart per 1-3k miles is just fine by me.
I add like 0.5l (0.5 quart) every 10.000km (6k miles), so like once between oil changes
I did some research on RX-7 forums, people dump in the whole quart of stop leak and we're fine.
you stretch your interval to 12k miles?!
Pretty sure Ive done 13k on oil in my Prius before
yikers my car is recommended to have 3k interval, 5k at the absolute most (at which point you're risking f*cking the engine)...
Official interval is 18k miles (30k km), i go every +- 10k miles (15-16k km). Basically once a year
RX-7 is 3k at the most
people on lexus forums say 2k but I'm too damn lazy to do that
that'd be like every 2 months if not more
RX-7 needs it. If you're not careful, you can fuck the engine bearings; and then a rebuild becomes much more expensive
Oof
known to sludge up and f*ck it up real bad
For my Prius, 1 year is just fine.
synthetics don't sludge so I've been being less diligent than I would if I used basic oil
(pushed it to 5500 last time)
I have to use conventional in the Mazda
I just use a can of GM Dexos2 5w30
oh are you supposed to get the manufacturer's oil?
i've just been getting 5w30 from the parts store
(inb4 destroying engine)
No, but it was actually cheaper on Amazon than 3rd party oil xD
Synthetic oil leaves too much carbon when it burns. And you can actually carbon lock a rotary
i figure the carbon issue is less than the sludge issue
Piston engines deal with carbon better
i need to get my filter changed, last time we just did the oil because we literally couldn't get it off
have to order a part from LExus to remove it
some stupid wrench
the location they put it never fails to piss my dad and I off
we literally couldn't get it off
spent over an hour trying
Ha, the RX-7 is stupidly easy to change the filter. It sits right on top of the engine
we'll swap it out once we get the part
the wrench
yeah mines on the front of the engine, under the exhaust manifold
....why
WHY
you can't go from the bottom
and there's limited space around the front
Did you not put oil on the o ring when you installed it
no we did
its just sunk so far in there you can't get a good grip on it
cause you can't get leverage or anything
Ah
I just... Get it replaced at the stealership ๐
stealership wants 400$ for an oil change
The RX-7s I got removed super easily
not happening
Just turned it left and off it came
They actually have the exact same pricing as other garages around here, so...
I took the Prius to the dealer once. $100 for oil change and tire rotation
Next time I am doing it myself
Even jiffy lube is like $75
Jiffy lube ๐ค
Drive through oil change
They exist? Wtf
Well the US has a drive through ATM and funerals, I shouldn't be surprised
They are sketchy places usually th
Not always known for doing a good job, or for doing it right
Bot yes, I know to change fifer. We just couldn't get it off.Once we get the wrench, I'll change it
Yea. I'm almost scared to find out where the Prius' oil filter is. It'll guaranteed be worse than the Mazda
I have no idea where mine is xD
Rotaries are actually quite simple to maintain in all honesty
This is the first car I've done more than just dribe
Drive*
All my firsts of doing car stuff is on this car
I've done an oil change and changed a gasket on my car so far
that's it for the engine
and people say VWs are unreliable
All I've done is oil change and ignition
Those spark plugs were bad
However, I had to retune the carburetor (I think the dude who rebuilt it didn't know what he was doing) and I'm on my 3rd fuel pump
I might need plug wires, mine are almost 23 years old
but I'm planning on an engine swap so I'm not replacing them yet

New Sonata is pretty sweet.
Hyundai and Toyota keeping it fresh.
Also amusing to see a return of the light bar.
I thought I was tripping when I saw those headlights
nah, swoopy DRLs are part of the styling.
Never been a huge fan of Hyundai, but at least they're trying.
Looks a bit like a Chrysler 200 with an Audi-like front
I do think the Sonata is nice, especially the interior... but not that fond of the DRLs at the front
Old air cooled VWs are tanks
you can damn near shoot them with a rifle and they'll still work
it's the more modern ones that are questionable
Tanks, durable if you maintain it.
ofc
don't feed them oil and they'll die, just like any motor
but as long as you change the oil, those fuckers will run forever
Now you need a camera with a bigger sensor that can shoot in RAW format like a DSLR for example
Could really make that RX-7 photo pop
My pics are trash
Those rims look really neat on your car
It's also easier to see now how clean it actually is
My fitment will be PERFECT lowered too
Really nice
Kinda wanna go 235s but that requires a lot of camber up front
And for me to roll the rear fenders
215s is plenty of grip for me currently anyways
I can't even spin my tires in the rain
Which is also because it's an auto tbh
Flooring it from a stop sign, no spin lol
Eh, I load up the converter
It breaks them loose with my 185s currently
Hmm
I do have an LSD too
ty
So many bimmers in the PNW. I moved my e46 M3 down to Texas with me.... and I'm the only one.
The e46 M3 in question ๐
@fair bronze I have a digital camera, which I used for that shot. It might have RAW capabilities, but I haven't done too much poking around in the menus. It's no DSLR tho, iirc the camera is from 2007-ish

New Defender less so.
In oregon too! Were you in Portland by any chance @signal kernel
I was!
Ah, am here too lol
My car was most often found at Rhom Innovations out by the airport though ๐ฆ
lol
It's super fun! Do it! I miss all the meet ups there. It's been two years since I moved.
Oooh and Rhom is a very fancy spot
Yeah the meetups here are pretty crazy
Though Cali does have Bimmerfest
rich people
I can relate
tfw someone comes up to me and asks how many rebuilds and motors I've been through
yes and no, depends on if they "know"
ah
there's been a good number of people who get confused when they see it for the first time
they think the FC and FD are the only RX-7s
hell yea
Sick
The 12A has a reputation in the community for being the most reliable
I can see that, do you premix?
and it's ironic, cause you'd think the fuel injected 13B would be more reliable; but the injectors like to gum up and cause flooding issues
Premix isn't technically necessary when stock, but I run it anyways. Never know when the OMP is going to fail
Yup
not to mention, OMP doesn't inject off throttle
so it's good practice to premix regardless
Yep. I pour in premix, wipe off my hands, use hand sanitizer, then fill up
lol got it down to a science
pretty much, lol
Meanwhile I just add in a fuel additive every oil change
Because my fuel lines die with ethanol, so I run an anti corrosive hue
Its mainly when it sits
ah
But I don't wanna risk anything haha
yea, that's fair
This is also why I daily the car too, and is probably why it runs so well after 216k miles
I add some stop leak to my oil, because I'm pretty sure I've got an internal leak
but it's hilarious because the 12A is strong even with worn oil control rings and bad dowel pin o-rings
lol, have you checked compression?
it's when the oil control rings completely die or the apex seals blow that the 12A dies
I haven't checked it myself yet. I was talking to a mechanic who had worked on it right before I bought it, he had done a compression test on it right before it was listed for sale; he said it was strong
That's a good sign
I want to test it myself eventually to see what the actual PSI is
I'm kinda afraid to check my compression
I'm not worried about my rings, but I'm worried about my headgasket
Because its still the original headgasket after 216k miles
๐ค
if it's just your head gasket I'd just change it out
removing the head is easier than changing rings
oof, "just change it out" isn't that a huge job? Lol
I mean
It'd be good maintenance, tbh
I pulled my trans already
jfc
I'm worried about when shit breaks on my car
Its also a straight 6 with lots of access
Not like a VQ from a 350z or something
that's one thing about my RX-7 that I absolutely love
you can reach pretty much everything without taking stuff apart or crawling underneath it
I don't know if the ecu would pull any funny buisness like modern cars
With "coding" parts to each other
what ecu
Lots of room for activities
My rx300
Oh, decapitating hood gang yes
I need to replace my hood shock
I live in fear of the damn thing
I need a new plastic clip for the support arm on mine
ah
Dat smol boi
Oh I would literally die doing your spark plugs
Yup
I already wanted to die replacing my parent's Mercedes' spark plugs
Mfw a V8 has 16 spark plugs
depends oon how many rotors you have
Mazda rotors are 2 plugs per housing
so, a dual rotor Mazda rotary has 4 plugs
Spooky resting hood position
One thing i love about my car is that the hood keeps itself up
has hydraulic struts
what are these fancy techs that you speak of
I have cheap suport arms in both my cars
hydraulics add too much weight, lmao
wot it's hardly any difference
Mine does that too, actually
in terms of weight
when a brake light goes out, a light on the dash comes on when you press the brakes
Rip
it's quite interesting for a cheap 80s car
Mine occasionally flips on the you've got a light out thing but it's typically wrong
Mine will go "STOP LAMP"
But its annoying because I want to change to LEDs for everything
And that'll light my error panel up all the way kek
I would like to go LEDs too, which I think I can with the power of Rockauto
the error lights are the brightest thing in my entire interior, lol
I went led headlights, have 5 tail light bulbs though which is plenty
they make sure you know something is wrong
Mfw my LED sidemarkers are brighter than the turn signals
(2 per side + 3rd brake light )
when the add coolant light comes on, it beeps too
idk if the oil light beeps, and I intend to never find out
I wonder if the exhaust overheat light also beeps
Exhaust overheat yikes
So far I've only had 1 CEL since I had it, and it was just that the evap system went out of spec for a second. Cleared it and it's never come back.
since you can apparently light the car on fire if the cat overheats
Rip
that's why you get rid of it
I wanna retain my cat for as long as possible tbh
I'm not spending 300$ for a new cat when we don't have inspection lol
Im not gonna cut it out for no reason, just if it fails.
I don't have inspection
and all the replacement cats are non-california use anyways (and cost a fortune)
so fuck 'em
Ya
Scammed
LEDs ftwwww
https://youtu.be/F5REykMi2W0 I mean I have rev videos of my VR6
oh yea, there was a time that my carburetor decided to be a carburetor
oh yea, and she doesn't like to cold start on camera
GM WAKES UP TO ELECTRIC PICKUP TRUCKS
General Motors CEO Mary Barra said Thursday that she sees a big opportunity in all-electric pickup trucks.
โThat market can be very significantโ
โI couldnโt be more excited about our battery-electric truck.โ
https://t.co/...
General Motors already made a the Chevrolet S10 Electric ages ago
yea but it sucked
just like the cybertruck

72 miles of range with no load
max
only 6.6kw charging
only 115hp
11 second 0 to 50 (with 50% battery charge, even less if the battery was charged higher)
now that's one sad electric pickup
Just called a ford dealer: โThe Mach E is better than a Tesla because Teslas start at $100k.โ Article coming soon...
115
Update: Another dealer says that the Mach E charges more and faster. Also, you canโt charge it at home...
these poor ford dealers
This was an interesting car.
Daihatsu Move.
Kei cars are fun in a novel kinda way.
I can hardly fit in an NA Miata
have to hunch over a bit to see out properly
I've had no issues fitting into the Move.
5'11 in my case.
I wonder if the Swift would sell in the US.
It would probably be among the cheapest cars you can buy.
i watched doug's review and it looked pretty damn nice considering it'd compete with the Versa Note S
the Versa Note S is an incredible level of crap
The Versa was exactly what it needed to be.
Budget.
If you want quality, you get a Fit.
The Fit was a higher end car.
oh oops
nah I'm not saying you were wrong
probably just was adjusted
i recall it being similar to that
Either way. Versa was a cheaper car.
Honestly Nissans aren't bad. The transmissions are what let them down the most.
Otherwise... not bad.
tbh, those base model/super cheap cars don't make sense to me
why wouldn't you just get something 1-3 yrs used?
effectively a new car
Warranty.
Also used cars right now aren't that cheap.
they have 10yr warranty
And a Nissan is cheaper than a Kia.
not a slightly used one
And used car warranty transfers aren't always possible.
Nah man. I've looked at the prices.
cpo Kia's keep the warranty
IF you can even find what you want.
CPO is pricey.
Might as well buy new at that point.
idk I'd never buy a brand new base model/cheap car
For an extra 3-4 grand I can get the car I want, brand new.
you lose so much to depreciation immediately
You lose a lot regardless of what you buy.
Honestly if I could have bought a base something with manual everything. I'd have gone for it.
15 grand for a brand new Civic with things that will never break? Sign me the hell up.
a friend of mine got screwed on a car deal
Sadly that's not the case any more.
i presume
its not an Si or anything but its got all the features and stuff
like the mirror cameras
which are actually kind of cool
Civic Touring starts at 27600.
Add in delivery, and dealership asspat fees.. and you're looking at 29k easy.
Still not bad, I don't understand why people get low tier german cars
omg same.
I don't get why people get German cars at all.
I have one :D
or people that are looking at a top spec 3er and decide to "upgrade" to a stripper model 5er
for the brand
Oh I'm talking about people who buy 320i's or CLA250s
or that
When you can get a fully loaded civic or accord for less
well theyre just brand chasing
๐คท dunno too lazy to think about it
I saw someone that rebadged their Hyundai Palisade as a "Mercedes AMG C63 4matic"
in crooked letters
Seriously. Dude. You're not faking anyone
Am just trying to find some spray wax to try out
lul
I think I'll stick to sealants.
Nu-finish has worked well for me over the years.
No reason to go back.
I have factor 4 on most of my family's cars
they need to make a performance version of the telluride
But I've been burnt out of waxing so many cars
put the V8 from the K900 in it
Just want a decent spray wax so I have an easier time
Been eyeing the Turtle Wax seal and shine
Factor 4 supposedly lasts 3 years
So I went for that because my family (other than my dad) really takes care of their car
I'm the one that does it
The results are simply amazing from it though
The looks are one thing, but the ease of cleaning the car afterwards
Issa best part
I'm tempted to ceramic coat my parents cars
they've got tuxedo black Ford's which gets hella dirty hella fast
green color wise or efficiency wise
both
what kind of car?
mines "desert bronze metallic" lol @normal temple
Yeah mine is bronzit-beige metallic
Is that a manual
yes
it looks like a hybrid
Beautiful
is it?
Prolly is pretty fun to drive in a manual huh lol
im more into electric tbh so as soon as people start throwing out engine types and stats im better off dead
I mean nothing too crazy with my car.
2 liter engine, 6 speed manual.
My first car with so many gears.
Meanwhile I only have 4 gears
Supposedly ~8 seconds 0-60 for my car.
Also forgot to mention. White interior. ๐ ๐
Car and Driver tries very had to hate on this car.
I'll say this much. It's a comfy comfy car.
Reminds me a lot of the Ford Contour.
But better in every way.
ruh roh
Oof Classic

Oof
I think that Megane was designed before Ford started with their oval designs, but ok xD
Lol
That car is probably my favorite all time rotary engines
Some mad dude made that car have 4 rotary engines work together
It's Frankenstein
Yeah, that's dope.
Some mad dude aka Rob Dahm
I am speed
He AWD swapped it too. Its absolutely mental.
It is, and so is he
Facts tho
Oof dat RX-7
I need an rx7 in my dream garage, I dont care what generation. I JUST NEED ONE.
Damn that rx7 is amazing
Would be cool if they did this
