Yeah
left foot
@dry fern sequential. most basic motorcycle use this pattern: 1>N>2>3>4>......
Mmhmm alright thanks @amber herald
Basically all motorcycles use 1>N>2>3>4>5>6 (If they have six gears, that is).
Press down on the lever to go down gears, up to go up.
Though, this can also be changed. It's more common for race bikes to have it the other way.
Watch more How to Ride a Motorcycle videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/512929-How-to-Shift-Gears-Motorcycle-Riding Hi guys! I'm Joonil Park for Howcast an...
It is
And you don't even have to use the clutch
If you know how to shift without it
one thing i still don't know is, do you have to shift 2 times to got from 1st to 2nd?
or is neutral 1/2 a shift
It's a half shift
k would make more sense
It goes straight from first to second
if you only pull it up slightly, it goes to neutral
Cheap.
wtf
Diesel where i am is $3.01
Its a bit higher because theyre selling #1 diesel since its winter
#2 diesel is 2.83 or 2.86
Just filled up today here for both $1.68 USD/gal and $6.31 USD/gal 😛
Below 20f #2 diesel gels up
I think it's like $6.30 a gallon for diesel here. Slightly cheaper for regular petrol.
So where i am where it doesnt get above 20f for a couple months you need #1 diesel which has less parafin in it
Heres what #2 diesel does in the cold
Oof
ew
The paraffin wax basically hardens
And if youve ever had to change a fuel filter along the highway when its -15f out youre not keen to do it frequently
Oof I can imagine
Not to mention its its likely to do it again in a few more miles
There was a huge oil boom here a few years ago and a lot of people from the southern states came up for work and the first cold day there were semis and pickups along the highway everywhere gelled up
Just get your hands on some Jet A
Or just use #1 diesel which is available at most gas stations but if you dont know about gelling its going tk cause problems
I have no idea what diesel we have around here
^^
if youre in a warm area its most likely #2 if youre in a place where it gets cold its likey that they switch to #1 or a blend in the winter and just dont denote it on the pumps
Well summers of 25-30-35-40°C (80-105°F), -5/-10°C winters (14°F)
its worth a research if you drive a diesel
I don't, but I've figured out what we have:
Designation | CFPP value |time frame
---------------------------------------------
Summerdiesel | 0 °C | 15.04. – 30.09.
Transitional period | –10 °C | 01.10. – 15.11.
Winterdiesel | –20 °C | 16.11. – 28.02.
Transitional period | –10 °C | 01.03. – 14.04.```
So basically both, but they gradually switch
Interesting
oh no....
lol yup
btw, gas here is a solid 4.29+
I give that a solid 3/5
i just realised that weird blue motion trainer of vw isn't working in my car 🤔
but the button is there in the infotainment 👀
just filled up for $0 because a lot of the EV chargers around town are free
Cool story
I didn't know there is several diesel types
I mean here we have premium diesel and excelium diesel (Total) or just "normal" diesel
But what changes is the quality
hmm
Is it just me or dose this interior look like an Audi from 2003 lol
Just you
very 2003
that center console is cringe
8 different individual buttons for air...
and they aren't even in a good order wth...
mines got 2 dials and like 6 buttons or something.
Not worst than Ford fiesta / focus and other European style fords
It is so ugly
The current ones are OK but up to the prev generations it was horrible
only buttons i have are in radio
97 taurus LMAO
that interior cringes me
get it outa here
I'm very much a fan of minimalist interiors. Like, you can have a few knobs and stuff, but I don't like a cluttered console
i hate my cars steering wheel
its big and has buttons
that looks like an mondeo interior
@indigo coral lucky you
Mondeo = fusion right?
Well I wish mine had volume control or something
that wheel looks good
like
my cars interior is different
than any other meganes
There is nothing wrong with decent push buttons
yeah
At least you can still use them while wearing gloves
but i prefer minimalist interiors
Damn the megan
noooo
Go away fool
no screens
+they start up forever
You don't even drive a car
^^
I don't drive a car?
If you did, you would know what a pain it is to use a touch screen while driving
the cars that I've been in that have touch screens are not a pain to use
granted, they need to have a good UI
which you aren't going to find on a lot of cars these days
m a x p o w e r
You have to look at a touch screen to use it, everytime you do that you are not paying attention to traffic
no you don't lol
you need to
do you look at the buttons you're going to press?
im adjusting my EQ all the time
No
you can do it by feel
if you know what you have to press then it's easy
I have 3 big knobs for my climate control
so do i
I can find what I need to without looking
imagine adjusting climate through an touch screen
There is no point
why imagine something that is real..
It's just not user friendly
half of my country drives old cars
you would need to look to know what position the settings are in before you could change them
I can do that by feel in my car
I mean, if you're gonna make that argument then I guess you're in favor of the blackberry over the iphone
that's not the same, with that you're looking at the screen no matter what
driving is not the same as texting
but the argument he made was that "it's not user friendly"
the iphone was not super "user friendly" when it came out
because it was an entirely new ui
My god why do you have to be so oblivious to literally everything
It's always everyone vs Arial
I'm saying your argument literally only makes sense if you're coming from an old ui and moving to a new one
you see the new one as worse
I don't
technology is cool and all but there are places where simplicity is important
yea both are using similar tech in this case
I like a mixture of touch screens and buttons
but they're completely different applications
Phones are not related to traffic safety
^
Or they shouldn't be anyway
yea neither one of us was talking about traffic safety
Yes we were
you said it wasn't user friendly
that's what we're talking about
which is false if you know the ui
You don't want to be looking on a screen to see what button you have to press to change the temperature
being able to adjust things without looking is important in a car
you don't need to look at it if you know what you want to do
I don't have to look at my phone to unlock it an open my email
because I know the layout of it
I don't think your phone screen and the screen in your car have the same size
if you know the layout of the screen then you would know how to do it without looking
not really
Nope
Literally no
how are you supposed to know if your fan is on 50% or 70% to adjust it
im still figuring out my moms touch screen
Get your mind off Mars back on Earth
in her mondeo
you can't without looking
maybe you don't have that mental capacity then but everyone else does it with all their devices these days
If you have a good system, you could just press the voice active button and say, "change volume to 45%". Although that's a next level lazy
I don't see why that would chance for cars
Is this a personal attack?
voice active
no
:D:D:D:D
remind me to never buy a new car if Arial works for a car manufacturer
Everyone is always bewildered by everything you say
if everyone uses this ability every single day, and you're saying that it doesn't exist for cars in your opinion, im sorry but I'm going to assume it's not a problem with the rest of society
gtfo
🤔
Literally no one here at the moment agrees with you
ask that in finland
how many people use smart phones every day?
What are we disagreeing and agreeing about?
3 million people wont agree
how many of them have the memory capacity to memorize the GUI on their phone
Touch screens in car are not user friendly and potentially unsafe while driving
and then autonomously make an action on their phone without looking at it
The screen in my mom's explorer I can use w/o looking, for basic shit, but it's small and slow.
For basic shit, yes
But it doesn't make sense to have to change the temperature for example
That's the point
I personally don't find the screen of the model 3 to be as bad as everyone is making out. If you're constantly messing with it then you've got other problems.
bruh that one doesn't matter either, if you have a car that has a temperature gauge that displays a set temperature, you have to look at it
I mean, in some cars these days, it displayed the temperature at which you want it to be at, with a knob you'd have to look. Unless you just wanted it warm or cold.
unless you literally just want knobs where u turn left it gets cold u turn right it gets hot
which is standard in cheap cars
A premium feature in older cars.
Only a handful of cars have everything behind a touch screen
not as premium as it was
i dont like touch screens in general
cool, then don't buy a car with one
t h e y a r e s o s l o w
Because pretty much everyone agrees it doesn't make sense to have literally everything behind a touch screen
sure, never said you should
I feel like a dream is to have a touch screen and buttons.
I'm not saying touch screens are bad in general
🧠
i like an radio
For navigation they're pretty much mandatory
In the future, things will probably be behind a touchscreen though.
yeah
Sadly
imma kill myself when there is only ugly new cars
in the future you won't own a car
at least, you won't own one for commuting
Unless your car fully drives itself in which case you don't have to watch for traffic anyway
I'm gonna have a car that I drive. Unless its banned in the future.
yeah
i still want an dx corolla
I don't care if it's banned, lock me up
not outright banned
When it's illegal to drive a car yourself I will be dead anyway lol
If its regulated, I'm still gonna be pissed.
Unless you're over 50 rn, I doubt that JD. lol
yea, try like 10 years
Things don't go as fast as some think
electric cars will be allowed to drive
Nope
most analysts are predicting that the overwhelming majority of miles driven by 2030 in the US will be by autonomous EVs
Autopilot is already pretty close. 10-20 years and it all could be self-driving
But not 100%
Not even that
that's what they're predicting
There are still way too many roads that a computer can't drive on
name 1
i mean
Old cities
Mt. Haruma
why couldn't an autonomous vehicle drive them?
Because it isn't aware enough of its surroundings
I mean I agree right now they can't
It's a downhill japanese mountain pass with extremely tight turns.
the whole point of AI systems is for them to be aware of their surroundings
And they aren't
well, they are in a limited sense
They arent right now. Soon they will though.
no it won't
lets start an car brand @fair bronze
It isn't something that's 30 years away
Autopilot is already stage 4 autonomous or something like that
well, that's a whole separate rabbit hole there lol
It's still a driving aid, not a driver
can autopilot drive 190kmh on gravel
not current version but there's nothing technologically stopping it from being possible
Stage 3*
I'm very sure the steering wheel won't go anywhere for at least 50 years
i hope it never will
you know that's a ridiculous claim to make
Says you lol
i mean,im fine with electric cars
I don't even care
190 kmh on gravel is dangerous anyways. Lol
but not giving the driver possibility to drive at all
ok, the extreme minority of 50 year predictions in history have been true
@night current isn't
because predicting the future that far out is very hard
Unless it's literally a straight line
It is
ask the guys in the 60s what they though their warehouse sized computers would be in 50 years
guarantee they would be very wrong
to what we have today
Some things go faster than others
Jumps at 190 kmh yeah, uhhh
group b
Hope you're a rally car driver.

Every Fin is a rally car driver
I love it lol
Fair enough. For everyone who isnt Finish though.

In all honesty, you could dedicate a team of people to program a self-driving system to drive that fast on gravel given enough money and time though.
And maybe for only a certain road.
Lol
But there is no point because you'd only do that for fun
It would be possible
that's exactly the wrong kind of thinking which leads to people saying stuff like "it will take 50 years for AI to take over driving"
back did touch bottom of the d itch
AI is not just a collection of if-then statements
you don't make a program just for 1 road
Obviously not
you make a general solution which can take a given problem and solve it
not just for 1 road, but for basically all roads
all roads in general
Have a little fun in life
If it comes into a scenario where it involves swerving you off the road or hitting someone, it has to make that decision though.
if you understand how roads work, then it's not hard to make sub classes of roads and have the AI train on those individually for how those kinds of roads work
Yes, also dangerous
I'm with $avage
Maybe he'll die early but at least he died having fun
I don't want to die thinking about self-driving electric cars
The boredom would kill me early too
Ngl, I hope to see a future of self-driving racing on tracks or something
Wait for a big crash
AI races would be sick
Ngl, self-driving rally would be cool to see.
no human? what are g limits
I want to see some race cars hitting 20gs on courses
Yeah that would be cool
What would teams be? Like the best programming or something? Best programmed car has to get the fastest time or something
More like the toughest-built car
probably similar to how teams are now
well yea, who wins the race
Exactly, that's why I feel like it'd be based on which team programs their car the best
I think racing should step back from having mandatory vehicles and just allow the teams to go all out making their own vehicles
give them a set budget for components and stuff
Just limit the budget
Yes exactly
They are thinking of doing that in F1 too, limit the budget even more
Honestly can't wait
it's kind of boring if they all drive the exact same car
Yes but you don't want them to differ too much either
Then you get the problem that F1 has now, Mercedes dominating absolutely everything
oof give Mercedes a handicap. Have to use diesel crap. Lol.
lol
Also Hamilton gets way too much praise for what he does
Don't get me wrong, he's an extremely good driver but he's also been extremely lucky with his teams
not really
Discussion with our friend
yes
oof
Mostly about how touch screens for everything is a bad idea
I agree
Yeah well he thinks otherwise
Who would have thought
There are many useful features for touchscreens, even in cars, but not everything
I gave setting the temperature as an example
I said you have to look at the screen to see what you're doing
Temperature, volume etc need to be dials
He says he doesn't have to look at the screen because he has everything memorised
I don't see how you don't have to look at it at all but alright then
i mean
im adjusting the lows, mids and highs all the time
would be imbossiple to memorize for me
I dunno I don't change temp that often so I only really mess w/ volume and EQ
i dont have my climate on
The thing is, it's easy to accidentally press something else on a touch screen
how do you survive :o
-7c
the other thing is how often do touchscreens not register touch because there's something on the screen or your finger
i mostly use work jacket and work pants
exactly, it's 40F here and I put my heater in max 🤣
I have reasonably dry skin so it doesn't always register either
My mom would have so much trouble
my car doesn't have a thermostat so the coolant gets up to like 65 degrees on the gauge in the winter
that means I have barely any heat
lucky you
RIP
mine is leaking like hell
xD
yes
I think I might have a small leak in my heater core too

When I got my car i was like "I'm not gonna let anything slide, gonna fix it all"
instead of only low mids highs
I have a sneaking suspicion one of my exhaust hangers is broken/rattling
i have those too
(also flex pipe leak)
I have noises in my suspension but they've been there since I bought the car
Mine rattles when I turn
@tight cypress I'm amazed your car is still driving
why
I mean, with the amount of work you've had to do
No?
welding exhaust mostly
I thought you had done way more on that car
My car's suspension went out, whenever I go over train tracks, I have to go relatively slow otherwise my entire heavy ass caddy lands on the wheels.
My bad
it was free
Well that's one thing
birthday gift
Ah that's why
prob did cost 50€
Different story then
or somethin
I just figured out that for $200 I can replace all of my 20+ year old shift linkage with brand new stuff with spherical bearings on every connection
(also flex pipe leak)
Is this... a free sports exhaust?
my exhaust is cobbled together but I fixed the leaks properly
I have pipe welded to what should be a flange, into a catalytic converter, then back over the axle into a resonator then out
this
i drove it without an muffler
damn it did sound good
why wont i just weld this
to my exhaust
Just do it
huh?
then you can take it off in the future
nah
if you replace your exhaust in the future you could keep it
my car is completely street legal so I'm gonna modify it a lot because it's legal here
my plan is to lower it, engine swap it, then supercharge that engine
if not the engine I want then maybe just a 1.8T
why not to turbo it?
superchargers make alot of noice
i mean,i can modify my car so much i want
1.8T with a K04 and a tune would be a lot of fun in a MK3
not turbo because I can superchage a VW 2.0 16v using all factory parts
make close to 200hp with lots of torque
Actually with a smaller pulley on the charger and standalone management I could make well over 200 hp
it will be loud
I'd fix the flex pipe on my car but it's a big job and the part is expensive
I could just go for standalone management and put a Ko4 turbo on and make over 300 hp
but that's too much for daily driving
300hp isn't too much wym
300-350 is about the right amount of power imo
Fast enough to be fun but not so fast you're going to jail instantly (see; hellcat)
I have 185 tires on the front right now
yeah 200 is lots
I have a set of Falken Azenis RT615k+ for autocross and they'd probably handle 300 hp
they're 205s
if I could afford fuel and tires I'd get a G60 ECU, the 2.0 16v I'm getting anyways, and a T3 turbo
that'd be over 300hp
If it didn't rain so much here, we could have gotten better ones but alas we had to stick with all seasons
Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. Not great, but far better than the trash she has rn.
can build some pretty wicked VW stuff in a junkyard, 16vs use standard Bosch injectors and they're the same but a bit smaller than a certain generation Ford Thunderbird
T3 turbo from a VW 1.6TD
ECU from a G60 Corrado
just add ARP rod bolts
Nice
Oof only 42km
101010 == 42
I guess I did
Anyone here know how i can find out if a car stereo will fit in a car without extra equipment? I'm want to buy one for my nephew, his car stereo stopped working. It's an Audi A4 2005 model and im looking at a Pioneer MVH-X580DAB.
Im not being lazy and looking for someone to do the work for me, i just dont know what to look for at all
Not sure if i should have posted this in audio or tech chat, but im trying my luck here 🙂
you'll need to adapt the wiring, the connectors will be different
I would recommend finding another stock radio, they're good and they can be had for fairly cheap if someone is parting one out
You know you can buy adapters for cheap
Depending on the shape, it may or may not be difficult to aesthetically integrate into the dash as well
The sad part is that Norway has stopped using FM radio so either he gets a DAB+ converter or a new DAB+ stereo. And i think the work will be the same in the end
You'd need a faceplate
I just got some space connectors and made my own connector
yeah the A4 has a weirdly shaped radio
I know that my RX300, it's literally impossible to add in an aftermarket stereo. I tried.
Lol.
how
and it doesn't really look good even with a bezel
Weird amp system, and very weird shaped
Also you'd lose access to the info screen & climate controls
fuck the amps
that's what the previous owner did in my RX-7
there are some aftermarket radios designed specifically for the B6&B7 A4 but they can be pretty expensive
i can't even splice in an aux connector because of the way the speaker system is set up
with the Nakamichi system at least
oof
the Pioneer one you can
http://enfigcarstereo.com/RADIO_AUDI_A4_02.html See the link above to purchase all the items in this video.
When Toyota finally fucked something up
well it sounds pretty decent but is very weirdly set up
Oh. Looking at that video i see he has an aftermarket stereo already. Would the installation of a new one be easier then?
It's definitely doable but I don't know how much experience you have with installing radios
OEM is plug-and-play but aftermarket is worth it imo, especially since FM is dead anyway
I'd say just find another stock one because it's easiest
@civic girder I just ended up getting an FM transmitter from amazon for 12 bucks. It actually works quite well! Talked to cartoys to see if they could do anything, they wanted 400$ to install some hardwired version of the transmitter I bought. LOL.
I have zero experience, he has some family members who are mechanics who probably know a bit about it.
I am quite the tinkerer so I'd do it myself but I get why someone else wouldn't bother
It's a good idea to get some help if you can
I wouldnt mind trying, but i dont think he would want me to tinker with his car ^^
Haha
I'm trying to find one of those B7 specific radios I mentioned right now, all I remember is that they look good and had good reviews from Audi people
Ill call around and see if i know someone with experience who could help.
Best of luck to you
I'm regretting not buying the second RX that was listed on Craigslist in order to learn how to fix/tinker with it
Thank you, and thanks for the help.
and let me know if you find the name of it @carmine summit
No worries, ask away if you need more help later on
the only thing with an aftermarket radio is you'll probably lose the steering wheel controls
aha
Not necessarily
designed for this specific application
Especially since it's a VAG car
plug & play
Yep
What do you mean by steering wheel controls? @carmine summit
this is the newest version of that radio
Personally I wouldn't like to get a Chinese Android radio since the quality of those things can be questionable
Controlling the radio with the controls on the wheel (if you have them)
lol
Do you know if he has them?
hahaha
sounds like a Tesla
lol
I dont think he has any @fair bronze
don't order from ECS tuning though, they take forever to ship
That makes it even easier
My uncle's BMW stopped working entirely when the roof dvd thing died
it wouldn't even crank
oof
this radio is a pretty common upgrade, from what I've heard it's good quality and is easy to install
the more I drive my car the more surprised i am the lack of electronic nannies
about the only things its got is ABS and airbags.. no traction control/stability control etc
(which is kind of nice cause hte 90s ones were crap)
I don't have either of those
My trucks navigation sucks and its voice recognition is worse but Google maps and google assistant are great
Its kind of surprising because you'd think lexus would load it with gimmicks to appeal to 1999 soccer moms
xD
There weren't really many gimmicks back in 1997 though
I have power assisted brakes and steering
other lexus models had trac and VSC
that's it
My dad's car has lane keep assist but I don't see why anyone would need it
imo either have no lane keep assist, or something like Autopilot. not in between
It always tries to kill me by steering out of the corner midway
Look how nice that is pardon the dust
Havent had a chance to do a good cleaning in a while
Carplay and Android Auto are a godsent
I wouldn't mind that either
It's just nice to have decent built-in navigation
A phone holder would suffice too
I was reading a review from when my car was new, and reviewers were complaining about how "overcomplicated" the infotainment/climate controls were
LOL.
lmao
if I wanted a 2 din radio I'd need to relocate my heater controls
boy did they not see what was coming
But it's so easy!
Just memorise the buttons!
Everyone who can't do that must be dumb
Android auto is just flat better
I love AA and CP because they get updated on a regular basis
yeah older Sync kinda sucks
Also constant traffic info
Ford has been decent about updating sync 3 but it still sucks with no satellite view
Its so weird driving this year so many people didnt get their crop off and theres unharvested fields everywhere
came with the car
It looks way older than it probably is
I have a stock radio but I don't feel like putting it in because the screen is damaged
tbh more you don't need 🤔
My first pickup mt radio died but i couldn't afford to replace it so i had half the display
I do like DAB+ but for everything else a phone mount is good too
my radio is like display for station, volume, and 6 buttons for choosing station
For what car is that?
2010 to 2013 dodge ram
I see
Mine was an 11
That truck was junk
I eventually traded it because it would just shut off whenever it felt like it Nd not restart
simplicity 🤔
I even accidentally shot it once
I like the high end stock radios in old VWs
you could get CD, aux in, and balance knobs
nothing fancy but still nice
my eq and balance and stuff is in my display
i always have +12db
hi-compute operation
i prefee Bluetooth if it works properly 🤔
cant skip somgs on aux :(
yeah you can
Weren't those old VW radios made by Blaupunkt?
some yes
tell that to my car with its not properly working Bluetooth
Aux or usb is better
aux is good, bluetooth would be nice
aux: no skip
Bluetooth: feck it do whatever you want
Bluetooth is handy
But aux and usb have better quality
and Bluetooth gives traffic information to my navigation
I just use USB to use Carplay
wait a minute I could get a single din android auto box
My truck doesnt even have an aux port
mine does because aftermarket
Bluetooth usb or sd card only
I have MP3 CD's
some of the radios that were optional on my car had aux in
im surprised my car has one
@stoic ledge
this would be ideal
That Deluxe font
CD in 👀
My 2015 ford had composite inputs but no aux
90s VW is awesome
It all went downhills with VW after the nineties xD
their new offerings are pretty good
This 2017 ditched composite
I still have a Grundig 1700 VD laying around
you can get a manual in every golf except one trim level of wagon
it's not even a good trim level
YOu can get a manual here in nearly everything, so not really a selling point xD
not here in North America you can't
we can get manual here
But in Europe you can 🙃
no matter what
most stuff here is auto only and it sucks
yes @stoic ledge
Some cars fit an automatic better but manual is way more fun
China
In Opel Corsa D's it's common to fit they aftermarket Chinese Android units:
retrosound is cool
Retrosound ftw
Oof yes
Hope they'll still be around when I get to buy my Beetle
bluetooth and sattelite radio and stuff for old cars
Some have the "Made for iPod" certificate on them lolz xD
Amazing
revive it
Oof I just noticed the leather steering wheel in the pic I just posted, wtf happened to that xD
Cya 👋
Oof lol I got that pic of the manufacturers website.... couldn't they use a nicer car for the picture xD
👋🏻
This is just awesome if you have an old car like this one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFMJl1bypO4
No need to get the best sound ever in a car like this but it's cool to have something that's compatible with modern devices while also looking classic
Yeah I know, those systems are neat
i only want the pioneer radio
does it have an good eq @viral matrix
i need an one with the bass button
and an dq
eq
aux and usb
sweet - might have found someone to do paint on my car
(hopefully for not crazy expensive)
Rattle cans are not that expensive so probably not
I meant nice paint, not sh*t paint.
Why are my jokes so bad sometimes
My car is the old two tone suv look, so the plastics can be done independently of the body which is nice. The metal part is in quite good condition for age and stuff (few scratches, nothing major), but both front and back bumpers need replacing
would likely be easiest to just repaint the side plastic as well instead of trying to blend bumpers to the side plastic
So on one end you're not too keen of your car but on the other end you're going to invest in paint
Ah I guess I got that part wrong
if I didn't like it i wouldn't care that its dinged up from the previous owner 😂
I always hear you talk about how slow it is lol
its certainly slow but its comfortable and nice
Yes exactly
(and really its not that slow)
I'd like it
those are the major issues
(both were by the previous owner)
front end he had a run in with a planterbox at a grocery store, back end was his deck -.-
I see what you mean
Front looks like it could do with some sanding, maybe even a little bit of body filler
its cracked all the way through
oof
when we got it the whole corner was dented in
Alrighty then
You can't expect too much for that amount of money lol
yeah
there's some scratches and stuff but a minor paint correction/detailing would resolve most all of it
the paint on the metal is nice and thick, and clearcoat is nice and thick still
Cool, so a polish and wax would suffice
bit of tcut u wont notice it
tcut?
ah
rolled yer car? bit of t-cut, no problems
Hiya! Here's my E30
oOO nice
<3
🤷 mine has broken down twice in 31 years of owning it
my comment is more directed at the newer ones
Yup
I love the E60 M5 but woooow reliability is terrible
I just installed more LEDs
I put LED headlights in my car, the old ones were suuuper dim
I have too many LEDs in here
Oh wow
my interior is fully stock atm
(not that there's much to mod in my car anyways 😂)
Kek
I've just been doing maintenance and quality of life mods
Like adding a much needed cupholder
Rip, I'd hate not having a cupholder
Issa nice
@pallid sky You run Apex's on your M3 right?
Cause Apex gang, don't mind my winter tires on it hue
I'm debating whether or not to buy my mother a tune for her birthday
Diablo tune claims +60hp +60lb/ft torque
yikes
Meanwhile to tune my car, you replace a chip
And it really only gives you 15 hp at most
Ah
Would wake it up
But in a Explorer? Lmao
I would understand like a Taurus or something
I mean 365hp isn't bad
Incidentally my dad has the 2013 Taurus SHO w/ the same engine xD
Not going to mess with his, the original purchaser got a really long extended warranty from Ford.
Weeeew
No reason to void it already.
Those SHO's are FAST
Yup
Scary fast
I have 220hp at crank, no idea what it is at the wheels
I know its very bad because there is big drivetrain losses
Yikes
Noice, in great condition
Only unplanned work in the last year and a half was replacing one of the sway bar links
Super easy.
Was just clunking around a bit
Ah, I just replaced my steering rack, motor mounts, trans mounts and tie rods
Have a few little things I need to do, still though.
Had to lift the engine a tad bit all on jack stands, that was a fun time
Oh boy.
I need to replace my exhaust flex pipe, and I think one of the hangers is a bit loose as well.
Also get bumpers repainted at some point.
Fun! Hopefully the paint matches haha
That pic hides the damage the previous owner did xD
I'll probably just end up painting the plastics on the bottom at the same time, since its two tone anyways.
then it'll all match.
👍
i smashed my thumb between a 1.5 in wrench and the front axle of one of my semis today right on the knuckle
Ouch
yikes
so every time i bend my thumb it hurts like hell
if I ever need to take the motor out for anything, that's gonna be a nightmare.
Has to come out the bottom.
Very fun
So let's just hope that never happens! XD
lol
Bucket supercharger, patent pending
Inb4 they all get nicked by cartels
gonna be hard to steal
