Wdym?
Idea is dual injection is supposed to help with stuff... including no carbon build up on the valves.
How will this engine fair against say... Honda's 1.5T a decade down the road.
The Honda will always be better
how so
Because it's Honda
The Civic I test drove had lag.
Honda has a known issue with gas making it's way into the oil.
Never heard of it
The oil dilution issue is well known.
On a more serious note, I do trust Honda way more than VW/Audi
Forced a recall in China, and a service bulletin in the US with Honda saying there's no issues, but they'll fix it soon.
Well yes.
I too trust Honda over VW.
Same
I trust them over everything short of Toyota or a 60s Chevy small block.
Maybe the engines they sell in the US
nah, the old VTEC systems burned oil. It was literally a feature.
I understand Si owners carry spare oil around just in case.
If you are on top of the ball, it's a non-issue.
So it is just like an F1 car basically
But it is an extra bit of work you need to do to keep it running.
I get that
Frankly it's not the oil dilution issue that annoys me about Honda.
It's their response.
"It's fine, we'll fix it and extend the warranty"
bruh
If it ain't broke, why you fixing it?
I mean it's better than them not doing anything at all
But yes I have heard some stupid shit
Their response felt dishonest.
"Oh the China spec engines are totally different from the US market engines."
Tuning, maybe. Hardware, no.
Many manufacturers do that though
Automakers will try to build as few engine families as they can get away with.
Unless they can pull off selling an older cheaper version in a country that doesn't care
And according to wikipedia... I didn't expect this actually.
Not saying you are wrong though
STOP STOP STOP
no u
The engines are the same code.
Honda bad?
what
They've had issues in the past, sure.
I think we're all in agreement we'd rather have a Civic over a Jetta.
Even td hun
Who desires to own a Jetta
Today
Mazda good go buy Mazda
fuck no
VW styling is blah in general, with some exceptions
We are going to CHAAAAARGE til we run out of gas
The Arteon looks nice
I mean that's not a tall order. lol
Wich car ur talking about
Tf is that
Big SUV
how so?
Gas prices are hella low
This again
oh yeah, it's nice.
I'm happy in my Corolla.
Gas is expansive and we don’t have big roads
I would be happy in a Corolla
It's a step up from the Suzuki I had. 😂
Usa is the perfect country to own big cars
It is, too bad I prefer small cars.
Really ?
Are you Dutch by any means
really really
Nop im a stoopid frog eater 😭
Who tf eats frogs
They eat croissants and baguettes
Don't diss baguettes.
I don’t even know where frogs come from i@never saw one eat some
snails then?
Yeah snails
Who ever thought "I have a great idea, let's eats snails!"
The same guy who looked at a cow and thought, "imma drink dat milk."
Mmmmmm
Lmao
Yes I overthink random stuff sometimes
Or the guy who took a piece of sliced bread and went, "yes, let's bake this again."
boom toast
boom
lol
Over thinking stuff is fun.
To think though
Electric cars were more popular than manuals this year.
Yeah car manufacturers are well paid by the country to promote environmental stuff
US just doesn't do manuals.
Honestly not every car needs a manual
no, but I like the budget option of a manual.
I managed to go XSE because the manual dropped the price right into my budget.
I never tried to drive a manual
You haven't lived
You aren't missing much.
It should be smooth af 😮
Really
Drove a NA Miata once.
To me anyway
That was... interesting.
I drove an ND
ND?
I'd go NB if I had to buy one with my own money.
Generation.
NA is gen 1
NB is 2
The new one with the RF roof
ND is 4th generation.
The NA is mostly loved because of its pop-up headlights and silly face
Also the least weight.
Because everything has rusted away
I honestly wanted a bit more power. NA isn't as fun in the hills if you are going up them all the time.
NB all the way.
hey I heared there are some baguettes here ?
Oh no
Yis
in fact i didn't hear anything
Dreamcar ? @fair bronze @dense shard
I have way too many
my dream car?
Yeah
uhhhh Lexus LC500.
Lemme see
That's the next step for me at any rate.
My first dream car is parked in the drive way.
I saw one before going work
!!!
nice
Childhood dream car
They're joyfully bad. Buy it, maintain it.
Herbie
All joking aside.
It was by far the weirdest car I had ever driven.
It's a very upright seating position, shifter is... not right.
I don't care how much maintenance it needs, I would give it all the maintenance in the world
It' like you work through the gears in a diagonal pattern.
I mean you need to maintain it on virtue it's a car with a design from the 50s.
You'll git gud at doing that as well.
I know
do it, get it
I will
Nice little car tbh
I was waiting for you to say I will.
I haven't filled my Sheev gif quota till just now.
It's one of those cars where I don't care that it's slow or drives bad
It's fast enough.
It moves
It have like 4hp
You just need patience
Chiron.
But it doesn't drive great. lol
Nope and I love it
Idk why but the side plate think me of an evo...
I see it now.
Trust me, I know everything I should know about them
oh yeah <- this me me setting up for a joke
Let me ask you one tiny super specific thing only I know because I googled it and clicked on page 2. <- legally required to mention this is a joke
I'll be sure to bug you if I ever get a beetle. <- potentially a joke, but I'm open to help if I ever get a beetle

I hate beetle
But that is a Beetle
Almost wish I'd gotten the Corolla in that bright blue.
Corolla is the most produced car in the world
Jokes on you
I saw a Bullit the other day
ohhhhh nice
The Bullit is the Mustang to have.
It’s an European mustang
I saw one drive the other way the other day
It not like the us ones
It did
yooooo
it's a french mustang, that is even more surprising because according to what i read there are like 50 bullit in france
Wdym
That's incredible.
What is wrong with the European Mustang in your opinion
All 50 are hp reduced and stupid things according to eu in it that look less cooler than originals one
no there are not only ecoboost mustangs in europe.
Yeah alright I get that
oh yeah, EU localization.
Mostly the daytime running lights
Quieter exhaust I imagine as well.
I have to learn how to change a clutch
Good luck with that
easy, just buy a Tesla.
u.u

I saw a video of a guy charging a Tesla
just buy an electric "mustang"
No
wow so impresive roucky
ikr
How To Ruin A Brand 101
Lol
The Mustang II was initially released without a V8.
It had a straight-4
And a V6 for the Shelby.
Madness
good stuff
Rotary needs special care though
I mean you would learn a lot about them by owning one
Keep the dream alive
Rotaries are nice but require maintenance
Though an RX-7 isn't really a daily driver anyway
not with that attitude.
Nope
Someday I'm importing a Eunos Cosmo
20B-REW
it's a 4 door 3 rotor twin turbo Mazda
Oof I've only ever seen one Eunos Comso, love the interior
The interior was so much ahead of it's time
Iirc, the center screen was actually a CRT
And you could watch TV on it
https://youtu.be/3qPAHPYthBU
1990: touch screen CRT in a car
A demonstration of the CCS system in a 1991 Eunos Cosmo JCESE 20B. Touch screen CRT
oh man yeah... I think GM did it as well.
I wanna say Mazda's implementation looks better
Mazda's implementation of a lot of things is better
Lambo did a great job by created a ultra lightweight super car to match the Tesla Tri Motor CyberTruck’s 0-60 speed 😂😂 https://t.co/tvzsG9DFy6
312
I don't really care about supercars anymore
grew out of the phase and now like my slow af cars
Wow, so funny
So very funny
@eager kite Thanks boomer for that wonderfully {banned word} video
Wow why use the n word here
Bro just calling someone a boomer is so 2018
calm down
You gotta hit em with the ok boomer
Now that's an insult
@lyric tulip we're fine right now, wish you were here like 5 hours ago tho
Well, what happened 5 hours ago that needed me? Breaking rules is breaking rules, dont matter if you broke them a year ago or 5 hours ago
Also, ever heard of the wonderful ping button?
No
Like I've never heard any other statistic besides 0-60 because that's all that matters
To some
@lyric tulip oh just people insulting each other
@vital glen then you must not follow many Tesla supporters
Oh man and the 1/4 mile time
Also, good response to Doug's video on the cybertruck: https://youtu.be/lWM0w-BADfA
Tesla Cybertruck vs Ford F150 vs Chevy Silverado 1500 vs Ram 1500 Doug’s video: https://youtu.be/Q-0DdRHA-ZQ Fuel prices: https://gasprices.aaa.com Electrify...
Why are you obsessed with Tesla? @eager kite
I don't think I would say I'm obsessed with Tesla
I've talked about plenty of other cars and manufacturers on here
I'm talking about it more rn because they just released a new product, and that's generally what happens when new products are unveiled
@indigo coral wtf is that pepe emoji lmao
Doug isn't wrong.
Concerns about range under load is a serious issue.
And before anyone tries to jump my ass on ICE.
Yes. Ford, GM, and FCA should release mpg ratings for loaded trucks so owners can know what to expect.
And doug didn't even bring this up, but are the towing ratings SAE or not.
The range shouldn't drop by too much due to payload
What hurts range is towing things that are not aerodynamic
"Aero" trailers are very not aerodynamic
I won't be supprised if Tesla makes a trailer in the future that actually isn't brick shaped
I also wouldn't be surprised if the trailer had a battery pack that hooks into the truck itself. Might make it too expensive, but it would be quite a neat thing
^
well the way battery prices are falling these days, it wouldn't be very expensive at all in 3 or 4 years to do
ew what are those rims
Apparently Pontiac Bonneville NOS hubcaps
A fiat punto 😂

Cars in Germany or something like that
Relativity fly strikes again
finally got around to a legit oil change on the Mazda
now I just need to complete the maintenance with changing the trans and diff fluid, replacing the leaky clutch master, and putting my new drums and shoes on the rear brakes
oh man... I hate drum brakes.
🥁
Rx7 ❤
thankfully I've got 4wheel discs. Would prob be very unsafe to have drums in my porker of a car
Discs all around are nice.
That's something I can do solo.
Here's Why Tesla Cybertruck Towing A Ford F-150 Is Meaningless A tale of physics, electric trucks, and why tug of war doesn't matter. Subscribe for new video...
I want to convert to disc, but I need money and be lucky enough to find the rear end out of a higher trim level of my car.
The GSL and GSL-SE models came with LSDs and rear disc brakes; but I have a GS, which has rear drums and an open diff
disc brakes alone are worth it imo
Electric Lincoln SUV to use Rivian technology, report says
Ah, so that's where the investment came in.
He really sent a cyber truck to them ?!
Nah ford backed out of it
@civic girder just buy a rusty GSL for $500 and have a whole bunch of spare parts.
This tow is bloody pointless
That f150 is not the 4wd raptor
Just some marketing gimmicks
That's the point.
I hope these tires won't be to expensive when they need new ones
Right now it's okay
It's a Hyundai Genesis 2011 2.0T
Probably not the cheapest.
Yeah
Not gonna lie that I was going 100mph on the highway I didn't feel anything lol
Just for a few times then no more
I'm still taking it easy with my car.
Because I was being stupid
Yeah
I treat my Hyundai Tucson 2005 Nicely as my daily driver
It has 430k miles
I recently hit 3000 on my 'rolla.
I haven't full throttle on the Hyundai Genesis yet just half
Sweet
Just happy to have my familys car as my daily driver and the Genesis for me and my mom to drive during weekends
And my next door neighbor is a police officer that makes me feel safe for the sports car outside at night
I've gotten into it a few times on my rx, which probably is terrible for it but meh
@blazing osprey wouldn't matter even if it was a raptor, would still lose.
Of course it would because an electric motor instantly has full torque available
Is that a yellow Corsa next to it
yes
@stoic ledge
1.2 litre
The Miata doesn't look as happy anymore when it's missing its front bumper
Love it, I think red suits it best
The roof is silver lmao
It matches the wheels too
the car has no soft top as its been taken out
Nah its getting stanced
lol
Careful without scratching anything
Very
Phil ftw
Not anymore
always will be
@fossil imp getting a turbo for it after it's lowered and has some camber
😄
Where I live there is a lot of lanes
We have like one motorway near to me
It's fun to rag it around
there is one guy he has a BMW e30 with a 1jz engine in it
welp I'm screwed lol
why is it $200 on each tire for the 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Premium grr
Is that for a quality tire?
Parents explorer is 250-280$ a tire oof
the tires are okay in the car but in a few years I will have to get new ones
Honestly if that price is for a quality tire I wouldn't really mind
yeah I can just save up for it
my Rx is still 180$ a tire for the ones I've got rn
I was tagged 👀
Ah yes, a Corsa ❤
Also a 3 doors D, except it's Sunny Yellow I believe
Based on the trim/bodykit/rims/UK: SRi

@stoic ledge limited edition buddy
Same, But different, but still same
😛
UK had so many trims on the Corsa... xD
I've checked the UK Brochure once, mine is like a mix of the Limited Edition and the SXi
@fair bronze no literally the only thing that mattered in that test was which truck was heavier and has the torque to use it
No-one can ever convince you of anything so there is no point in having another discussion
Dude, it's literally 11th grade physics
I can write it out if you want
Here's Why Tesla Cybertruck Towing A Ford F-150 Is Meaningless A tale of physics, electric trucks, and why tug of war doesn't matter. Subscribe for new video...
This guy explains it as well
I already posted it
^ me too
nice
Looks like we all have good taste in channels.
It went through 4 motors and 3 batteries apparently.
Though one of the batteries was a loaner... no clue how that works, but technically the car only had two batteries packs.
It's an earlier model from 2014 or so... still that's not a great metric.
Nice, that is one of the upsides of the simplicity that an electric motor has
Yes, but the fact it needed to be replaced isn't a very positive sign.
I think the record holding Volvos are running original engines and transmissions.
Well it still has bearings and such
Also they had recalls for the motors a while ago
yeah, but 4 engines is a bit dramatic.
They’re pretty easy to replace though
That's still not something that should break is my point.
Don’t know how long they are supposed to last anyway
Motors/engines are lifetime parts.
Lifetime doesn’t mean forever
Yes but that is with normal use, which this clearly isn’t
Almost no car on earth drives this much
I imagine they're more common than you think.
Keep imagining
Yes but that is a completely different story
For some reason the list doesn't include Matt Farrah's million mile Lexus.
I'd love to see just how many million mile cars there are on the road.
My prediction is they're mostly made after the 90s.
Same, but not all cars are created equal
right
Those old Lexus ones are built extremely well
If only all cars were as well made as that
A lot of the manufacturing methods used on Lexus were passed down to Toyotas.
So that's cool stuff.
damn... I keep forgetting the beer I had in the fridge was 8%.
the only times my Prius have broken have been user error
and even then, it still rolled away from the scene as if nothing happened
and even then, I haven't experienced anything to prove that rotaries are unreliable either. Every time it's been out of commission has been from the previous owner's neglect or a faulty part I installed
I did it http://prntscr.com/q3loob
300mph by removing the parts
http://prntscr.com/q3lp02 made 7th gear a little more faster and use the boost to keep going
https://streamable.com/fzic7 here lol
nice, put 200 miles on my RX today yeet
A few years == more than one, so 2021-2022 probably
Same date as another EV truck 🤔
A few years = 2022+ before they unveil it
If you say so
Nice, we can expect some more VelociRaptors from Hennessey in that case
Well they're talking about a 2020 hybrid f150 that we haven't seen yet so I'm assuming they mean unveil in 2020
Probably the same drivetrain we're getting in Europe in the Explorer (which is iirc the same powertrain as the US interceptors have)
3.0 EcoBoost V6 (350hp)
100hp EV, 13.1 kWh (40km EV range)
I hope they improve those numbers for the truck
Otherwise it will be pretty lackluster
@fathom socket I love how it sounds like a Beetle at first lol
Ikr xD
Oofy model 3 perf is expensive - 64,990 with fsd
Tis expensive
My local pub just posted this
Shit's on fire, yo.
boys
Perfect car for the weather we were having today.
A6 allroad much better
Make sure to wear your brown pants. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMu1tOds8-Q
My first time in Spain for Rally Catalunya and it didn't disappoint! There was a close battle the whole rally and Sébastien Loeb took a close win only 2.9 se...
Damn they already add a mod of the cyber truck
1000km/h = 277.7777777777777777m/s
And neither is it 750mph
thinking
~62mph = 100km/h, 100mph = ~ 161km/h, basically all you need to know
easy way for me is: 50mph=80kmph
My moped only displays kmph so I never know how fast I'm going lmao
I memorized most usefull conversions
20 mph = ~30kmh
30 mph = 50kmh
40mph = 65km/h
50mph = 80km/h
62mph = 100km/h
70mph = ~110km/h
80mph = ~130km/h
Yeah 62mph displays 100 on my dash lol
Pretty fast for a little engine
Only 1 gallon that reachs 230 miles :D
Oof
It's fun to go places while you put 2 or 3 dollars of gas
It takes premium for some reason
premium, regular, who cares, it's just additives
It's a timing on the engine that needs premium for the right combustion speed
Not sure how that works a little
So most cars used regular because the engine is designed for it
If you put premium gas in a car that takes regular gas you can break the timing of the engine if you keep filling it with the wrong gas
or you have a flexfuel sensor that changes your timing
Oh yeah
with diesel you don't get timing issue
instead you get missfires when the engine is cold
True lmao
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
Oh yeah this is a good video of I was talking about
Some guy on the internet thougt it was a good idea to put 87 in a Bugatti Veyron
1 Mile later check engine light is on
knock knock, here's rod #4
That engine cost more then my house I live in 😂
The previous owner put black rims on it and I don’t like it, I don’t like the idea of black rims on sports cars
depends on the car
If the car is a lighter color... wheels look best black.
If the car is black... find anything but black to paint the wheels.
That's my take on it at any rate.
i wish tesla still offered silver rims on the model 3
only gray now
gray aero or gray sport, literally cannot get silver sport rims anymore
the gray looks bad on the model 3
We should return to the 80s... white alloys!
That's because Tesla comes in 4 colors.
Okay exaggeration, but most I see are shades of gray.
I see 4 shades of gray there.
? 2
oh oops, I thought the wheels more more options.
white, dark gray, light gray/silver, blue, red
id prob get white tbh, teslas look good in white
Looks much nicer in silver rims
imo
well tesla already struggles with paint quality and stuff, adding 30 colours will just make that far worse
This isn't even that big an issue at Tesla.
At least they lack variety.
instead of
Mazda and Audi offer multiple shades of the same color.
mazda/audi approach is better or worse?
yeah
But... literally 4 shades of gray.
2 blacks.
2 blues
and red
And reds tend to be the lame crayon red. Not that Mazda deep red.
I'm not sure if I'd get the white interior in a Model 3, I love the look but I bet it'd get destroyed
tbh I'd prob get fsd for nav on autopilot and stuff
My Accord had light gray seats. Stayed that way for over a decade.
my RX has "ivory" (light beige)
and theyve been fine for 20 years
but its not white
with how simple the seats on the model 3 are it probably wouldnt cost crazy money to have it recovered
not really much funny buisness
It gave off cheap vibes in Saturns, and now it cheapens interiors of other brands.
That's probably my biggest gripe about my family's Nissan Rogue... besides less than stellar build quality.
Black dash with nothing to break it up. It ain't pretty.
I have to take out the passenger seat in my mom's car tomorrow 🙄
something is melting underneath if you turn on the heated seats
stinks like hell
probably the seat foam
oh
I read on a forum that it could be some ground connection melting
idk it smells like melting plastic/electronics
Some funny footage from the LA Auto show, testing out Ford's new electric vehicle the Mach-E. We got to go inside the vehicle and play with the big touchscre...
hopefully that software and production quality increases a lil b4 production
don't count on it
Then again the more recent Syncs were great... but the first gen remains an atrocity Ford wishes you'd forget.
aww I don't wan't Ford to give EVs another bad name
Honestly, I think it'll be Ford giving itself a bad name.
It looks alright.
I just think it looks a bit basic.
Especially compared to the competition.
The E-Tron, Model 3/S/X, and hell... even the Leaf have more interesting gauge clusters.
Or more unique.
Model 3 isn't bad imo in terms of speed readout and stuff
All important information should be viewable on one axis.
its easier to see it outside the wheel than through it
for me
in a comfortable position
also damn, Daimler is looking to cut 10,000 jobs...
I would honestly install a phone mount, and use a GPS if I had a Model 3.
Just to track speed.
normally I have to duck my head a bit to see if I'm over ~45 in my car
Move your steering wheel up.
then it makes my shoulders hurt 😂
the model 3 has it outside the wheel and in my line of sight
I'm not a fan of looking down and to the right.
it was honestly natural for me, but to each their own
I prefer one axis movements for important info.
So yes. Yaris and older Nissan Quests annoy me.
in the ~30 minutes I drove the Model 3, I only accidentally looked through the steering wheel once
now that is something that's nice about the 3, the nice low dash
They've all made a few fatal errors.
i HATE the new trend of huge towering dash with all the styling and shit, makes it hard to see out the front
Ease of use and eyes free operation of controls of a car.
that's a bad thing?
even my car you have to look down to adjust bass/mid/treble response and stuff
and its 20y/o
If you have to look away to change a radio station, that's a very bad thing.
Distracted driving is a big cause of accidents.
wat
there are very few cars you dn't even have to glance to change it
bruh, that's from people talking on the phone while driving or texting
Changing radio stations is included in that statistic.
the majority*
Believe it or don't.
im not disagreeing
its just very uncommon that you can do it completely by feel in any sort of quick manner
My Accord. You could change everything without looking. No stabbing away blindly at a touch screen.
Call me old fashioned.
the damn twist dials on my car don't have much tactile response
well, if the car can drive by itself, then it wouldn't matter if you have to look away to change it....
so I have to glance down to change bass/mid/treble
I don't want self driving cars.
I want people to pay the fuck attention.
Or take a damn bus.
well right now sure
In the future doubly so.
?
Self driving tech won't really solve anything.
it will massively reduce the number of collisions
Mass transit is the solution unfortunately.
Reduce collisions, but not congestion in major cities.
yea for inner city transit
I aint giving up my car. I cannot take the bus. It is just entirely impractical.
but for suburban / rural transport, kind of will still need personal vehicles
and for those, if they are self driving then that's a good thing
Anyway. We've gone beyond the scope of my issues.
Cars have relegated too many important functions to hardware that isn't conducive to being used blind.
I wish the Model 3 would hurry up and depreciate
So it can be a reasonable competitor for a Genesis or Stinger in my eyes.
soon™️
For now they're all supported apart from the OG Roadster
and I'd rather not buy one thats banned from autopilot, superchargers and not getting updates
nah the 2012-2014 aren't really getting anything
still using the old UI and stuff
News to me.
the circle speedo thing, they still have that
I hope they do better with supporting the Model 3 for a normal car lifespan
The problem with the 2012-14 cars is they have different physical hardware
so it would be extremely expensive to retrofit them with the current hardware
kind of sucks, but that's the price of being on the edge of tech (at a given time)
That's probably another fatal flaw a lot of new cars have.
You can't just drop in an aftermarket whatever as in older cars.
Tesla isn't alone here for the record.
In fact I'd say they're doing better than most.
Cause at the very least they're offering updates... something current cars fail at.
Or are super apathetic about. ahem... TOYOTA GIVE ME MY FREAKING ANDROID AUTO YOU TURDS
I'm impressed how few RX300 screens have shat the bed
I can only find a few threads about it
compared to... for example... the 90s/00s radio screens on BMW
they all died
all of them
That's a feature
It's time for you to buy a new one.
I don't know if you noticed, but only half a screen dies first. It's never all of it.
yeah
oh right hold up so my mother deadass told me today she wishes she knew how to drift cars
lmaoo
Don't all moms?
I told her that we should get an old beater rwd (3 series type) car and learn stick and how to drift in it
i'd never get a manual for daily duty though
you get used to it.
Manuals aren't that expensive.
Drive it right and a clutch will outlast you
lol
Over 100k if you don't be a bitch to your lovely car.
better choice tbh.
no dual clutch fuckery, still quick shifts
yep
The ZF is one step down from the no gears of electrics.
(tbh is there even any downside for the 8hp???)
No gears is smoother than 8.
yeah
But ... anyway
the LC 500h has a truly insane transmission... not in a good way
back to star trek. It's the episode with the borg.
"It incorporates both a two-motor hybrid continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an Aisin four-speed automatic" what the fucccc?

japan's love for CVT
ok but like why the LC 500 non-h has a 10spd auto that is a bit slow but seemingly pretty decent
it just seems like a potential reliability nightmare
Toyota has their own requirements
Asian market loves CVT. because to them, It feels so sMoOtH.
They are smooth. But they break down so easily.
You have to like, swap the whole transmission.
Most autoshops will replace the transmission
Planetary autoboxes are hellish
my rx the planetary gear set is weak and tends to crack 👍
The only transmission people will try to fix are manuals
What? So the mercs, audi, mazda and shit ton other brands transmissions are hellish?
No. to use
the LC 500 has really weird gearing
Transmissions are usually replaced
To use? I imagine that the torque converters are nuce
you'd think in a comfortable GT car the 8/10th gear would be a super low cruising gear
Dual clutch less so
Planetary usually lasts longer
but its still at 0.79
Honda Dual clutch is total nightmare
By default the simplest design is the most durable
for comparison the 8hp in the stinger has an 8th gear ratio of 0.556
Manuals will be more durable
Automatics less so. More moving parts
I haven't found a dct that feels nice
I don't like clunky
manuals are durable. except in traffic. in my country, you would have to replace the clutch so frequently it is not worth it.
Clutches aren't transmissions
they are a part of transmission though
Clutches are considered consumables
A 'okayish' quality clutch lasts about 6 month in my country. traffic jam is just horrible.
Sounds like an extreme case
meh, autoboxes for me. wouldn't mind learning on an old 3er or something but for daily duty... paddle shift auto ftw
Even DCT's performance was so poor in my country that honda only sells CVTs now here.
DCT used to overheat like crazy.
DCTs biggest weakness is stop and go traffic
dct also is more expensive than autobox
Usually, people buy CVTs and people who love to drive tries to get A good automatic with padel shifters (like mazda).
Cars are super expensive here.
uhoh like how bad?
like 100% customs taxs on a brand new car with 1.5L engine.
@stoic ledge you may have a rival for high tax winner
just to sate my curiosity - how much does a Mustang GT w/ the 5.0 v8 cost?
all of the south asian countries have similar taxes.
I think it is even worse in India and Pakistan.
yikes
another member of this discord, MK, has super high taxes too and I always am bothering him to figure out how crazy expensive cars are over there
oh hi mk
is it possible to upsize wheels by 2 inches on a car?
heard online the most you're able to do is 1in in either direction
49.0 lacs = 55K USD
Wow
we don't get the Q2 here afaik
we do get the A5 SB and A3 though
and FINALLY the RS6 Avant
I maintain that if i had a 3 car dream garage it'd be:
Lexus LFA N-Ring edition
RS6 Avant
Tesla Model 3.
If I had a 5 car:
LFA
RS6
Model 3
Shelby Raptor Baja
and... idk
yeah man
nope. only this one.
😅 😅
@indigo coral
A G-class maybe?
😂
stock 0-60 in sub 2s is impressive to say the least
Course then there's 2 supercars
But very very different supercars
wbu? 3&5 car garages?
(In Dreamland, not reality haha)
@stoic ledge would just get 5 corsas
- Cybertruck
- Model S
- Land cruiser
Nice
Dunno about Supercars
funny that mine would have 1 v8, 1 V10 and one EV // or 2 V8, 1 V10, 2 EV
the V10 in the LFA sounds amazing
LFA engine😍 😍
is it possible to upsize wheels by 2 inches on a car?
Yes
But why would you want to do that?
I can get going from 15-16 up to 17-18. But so many rims beyond that are silly.

wait wtf was that james may
Yes.
Windows just greeted me with this beautiful sight
GlassBomb I'm thinking having 3" bigger wheels would make my car look a lot better
going from 14s to these would be ideal

Mondeo mk3
lol
Ah I see
Lmaooo
LOL
http://prntscr.com/q4c8i3 http://prntscr.com/q4c8p5 makes sense
I wasn't aware concepts count as sales.
More like, stuck.
Guess the car

Has pretty good Cd
Should be even better irl cause my model is not amazingly accurate
@tight cypress Seems like tons of fun

Most snow we had here xD
Last winter was the first time I drifted on public roads because of the snow
I also did a handbrake turn for the first time
It was quite a lot more than what you got there lol
thicc file
Oof
rekt
Mind you, this isn't because Audi and Mercedes are in dire straits.
They just figured they can eke out more profit without taking a hit to production.
Ford, GM are doing it as well.
Audi is literally saying they are doing it so they can have the money to invest in EVs and other tech things
Daimler as well is saying it's cutting jobs because of the switch over to EVs
So is BMW
So I mean, I guess you're right in the sense that right now they aren't cutting jobs so they can make money.
A restructing plan isn't something new, many brands have done it in the past
But they can see that they will be up shit creek if they don't take action now
Also I found the database of pro tesla accounts that teslaq preemptively blocks and I'm on it lol
@misty cipher @golden tinsel Down here
Woke up from the winter sleep nicely
@viral matrix ? How to shift on a motorcycle
