I want another volvo
when my BMW is gone in Feb i'll go to the audi dealership
I miss my wagon, but at the same time, my Focus is leagues better
I like the XC90, but I also kike the X5
with my volvo
But I can't afford either of them, so xD
couldn't afford the Q7 you said? ๐
^ i'd totally do that
V70R
TT RS
V70 isn't produced anymore
5cyl turbo
isn't it replaced by the V90
audis are nice
audi's are for cocks
or V60
V90 is an SUV
It's not
no
XC90 is a SUB
V90 is an estade
SUV*
estate sorry
I'd get an RS6 Avant
S90/V90 is sedan/Estate
I was thinking of the xc90 : /
V60 is nice (:
All new Volvo's are actually
Although I'm not that fond of the V90's rear
the father of my wife when he saw my XC90
So I'd get the V60
RS6 Avant > V90 ๐
Alpina B5 > RS6
no^
but then he said it in "brussels"
Reeeeeeeeeeeeee Brussel
for the dutch speaking under us "is tees dan een koesj vu ne sukkelair"
There's a kid that i work with that has a V40R
V40R (?)
the salesman was like eurm they start around 35K ๐
laughs in Dutch car prices
There has never been a V40R, R-Design tho but that's a trim
Uhm lemme check
Holland idk, The Netherlands I can check ;)
(maybe its a fake, idk)
yeah the netherlands
in belgium we all say holland so my bad
and not "Nederland"
I punch my Belgian friends in the face if they ever say that
xD
V60 starts at โฌ42.695 apparently, which isn't that bad
still a gap of 7K
Yes
That like $50k US...
Yes
Also that's the T4 190hp, I think the Belgian lineup starts with the manual diesel?
a friend of mine has ordered a V60 in T8
Oof
also in bursting blue
so they will know when we are out together
My uncle has a new V60 T5 in red, which is also very nice
first a V60 and then an XC90 in the same color ๐
My wife likes the V60 / XC60 in red
for some reason she is in to red cars now
I quite like the Volvo XC40 but it's really bloody expensive
Red cars are nice
Particularly for only getting 250hp
Not as expensive as here ๐
It's about the same size as my current Lexus RX
Cheapest XC40 T5 is โฌ57k
Yeah but that's the T3 probably
3 cyl
Where the V60 gas models start with the T4 190hp 4 cyl
I tought almost all engines in the volvo line up where the same
Nein, the T3 is a 3 cyl xD
T5 - T8
for the price of a fully optioned XC40 you could get a used Stinger GT and a Model 3 SR+ if you found a snazzy deal on the Stinger
they only added turbo's
All above is the 2.0T 4-cyl
or a turbo and a supercharger
Turbocharged - Supercharged - Electrified
electrified is also turbo and supercharged
T8 = T + S + E
T6 = T + S
T5 = T
T6 TE = T + E
I have both + an electro motor
Oui je sais
They also have stuff like B5 now, in the XC90
Which is T5 + mild hybrid
like BMW's
Oof somebody has seen the news of the PHEV X5 today
Yup
wha
I like plugins
probably Tesla batteries
that friend that bought the V60 in T8 asked me if I was scared
it could also happen to us
no it wont.... my car is sitting at the dealer for like 2 months now
I'd rather have a Model 3 and a Stinger GT
yikes
yikes
I'm confident in saying that my car won't light up at random ๐
there was a big thing with bmw fires a few years ago
or the volvo dealership was already gone now ๐
3 weeks old xD
yeah im not saying thats related
I have an authentic F30 that had that fire hazard
and there was a recall on my car
mhm
If you think about it
and they didn't let me know
Every car is on fire when its running
untill I came in for maintenance
thats not correct
a Diesel car isn't
the way a diesel engine works isn't by burning the diesel like a petrol
Compression Pogey
but the fuel still, ignites
same difference
you need a spark to let something explode :p
Spark? Chevy Spark!
was a recall for it
Volvo also had a recall for a fire hazard not that long ago iirc (;
Some plastic part in the diesels
that was why I have a black interior
Still in belgium you can only take the ventilated comfort seats in black
that is my configurarion
how the car was ordered
Not too shabby xD
Does the computer eliminate wheel spin by syncing the electric motor output to the power going to the front wheels?
I don't know
I hope so
I still have to take delivery of my car
Still 82 days
of waiting ๐
and then i can tell you if it does or not
Seems like there's a lot of managment that goes into an eAWD vehicle
Yeah ofc xD
I know that 0 - 100 km/u takes around 5.1 seconds ๐
@indigo coral Pogey
My cars 0-100km/h time also contains the 5 and the 1
Just not in that order
xD
15 sec?
most of the time you wont get to 100
Basically
Or 1.5 sec
I cruise at 135-140, so I do get up to it xD
my morning commute takes me around the ring around brussels
No not 1.5
to to E19 towards antwerp
Ah, well mine is the E314 from the Netherlands, but I get off before Lummen
That part isn't that busy xD
yeah I lose most of my time from where I live in Dilbeek
to the E19
once on the E19 I can drive a casual 130 km/u
and trips in between fuel stops in my bmw = +1000Km in general
Yes, because diesel
something I will never achieve with the T8 ๐
Depends on how much you plug it in
Ah that's a shame
because i'm parked on the street
Yikes
and I will not run an extention cord from my place to my car ๐
That's a big yikes
LPG is the best fuel #changemymind
No worse than gasoline.
Cheap to run tho xD
not shure how it will cope with the Polestar engeneered upgrade
๐
polestar optimized upgrade sorry
Gn
alarm goes off at 5 AM
Big yikes
so still +- 6h of sleep
Go go go!
Europe finally getting their giga
Oof
nice
We'll see how that goes.
Though Berlin-ish area doesn't really strike me as the cheapest or most effectively place to build a car plant.
Should have been Poland.
cheaper to say in the least.
Then again it should boost the economy a bit.
@dense shard Should have put it in Greece
Agreed.
apparently the new giga is being built near the new airport
you know, the one that's been delayed for a decade
Getting updates via email about my car is a nice touch.
"Jaguar Land Rover Is Looking To BMW And Geely For Potential Partnerships: Report"
ah shit, here we go again.
Also apparently the Camry and Avalon will both offer AWD soon.
Hmm, AWD would be pretty nice for those cars.
Mind you it is a demand based system like in the RAV4.
So you won't be doing any performance driving here.
Ohh, true. Would be good for someone who lives in a snowy area though.
That's the idea I imagine.
Frontier pickup and Armada SUV recorded monthly increases in October of 27 and 31 percent, respectively.
Nissan's woes continue, but the ancient shitbuckets continue to bolster the automaker.
Nissan only makes shit buckets.
I've heard the new Kicks is pretty good.
And frankly the Rogue remains quite competitive.
It's not like the styling of the competition has leapt ahead. They're all kinda plodding along copying each other's homework, but changing just enough to look special.
Unless they're Mazda. They just print their homework on premium paper stock, and in blue ink. They're expecting better scores and rewards, but forgot the teacher is only grading for content, not presentation.
Lol
"2020 Mazda CX-5 Gains New Features, Prices Rise Slightly"
It's already too expensive for what it is.
I also find mazdas to look nice when theyre new, but they look outdated very quickly.
They look fine, but after taking a more critical look at the new 3...
It's evolutionary vs. revolutionary.
If not regressive.
I find evolutionary to be good, like bmws. they look modern for quite a long time
It's heavier, less sophisticated, and still running old tech.
see: e60 5er, e92 coupe, etc
It's styling over function with Mazda... to their detriment.
Both BMW and Mercedes have advances in their generations.
The new Mazda is a step back if anything.
They promised a revolution.
Mercedes tends to redesign in a big way every generation
I'm talking about Mazda still.
ye
BMW's styling is stagnant, their interiors are bland, and their move towards comfort makes me think they're not a driver's choice anymore.
They're coasting on their rep... just like Honda.
I find the new BMWs nice, but I'm in the vast minority.
I find BMW's new ethos to be blah.
They've consolidated ALL of their cars onto 3 platforms.
One FWD, one RWD, and the Z4/Supra.
So electric, gas, hybrid... it'll be one of two platforms with BMW.
the i3 is a cute little car but too damn expensive
And discontinued.
an optioned out i3 is like 65k, which is more than a Model 3 Performance and dangerously close to a base MOdel S
oh?
really?
All those cool i-cars? Dead.
wtf
Yeah, the i3 is a dedicated platform.
I thought they commited to producing it till 2023
Perhaps?
good, needs to be more normal to have mass market appeal
It'll kill the Model 3 if its any good
If I want mass market appeal in an electric I'd get something else.
people want the brands, hence why the Stinger isn't selling (and might not come back for a second generation)
Cheaper.
People are surprisingly hooked on "Cool" brands
so if BMW or Audi or Mercedes came out with a real electric car that had real production numbers, it would take away like all the Model 3 sales
brand chasing is stupid
oh right
Forgot there are new Trump tariffs that might go into effect this week.
Meaning that my car might become super rare in the next few months.
Up to 25% tariffs on EU and Japan made cars.
My car is good, but it's not 5000 dollars more in price good.
But it would make Mazda price competitive for once.
Okay, but why Japan tho?
no idea.
The investments made in the US has been huge.
I'd say Japanese investment in America has been greater than the Americans in the past 30 years.
It's on topic.
And I'm not making any inflammatory statements.
Fact is we're looking at dramatically more expensive imports over the course of the next few months.
mhm
And automotive tariffs have never had any rationale behind em.
The 25% import tax we have on trucks was in retaliation to poultry dumping in Europe.
mhm
A few years ago some group was calling on a 100% tariff on pretty much ALL motorcycles being sold in the US over something totally unrelated.
woe be unto petrol head everywhere.
Can't enjoy our vices without some cheese head making it expensive for us. lol
but I already spend a bunch of (my parents) money on gas, so that's not really feasible
idk
cheeseheads
xD
lol
Considering I get 18mpg that's pretty bad xD
It's not like I get 35mpg (that would be nice though)
@indigo coral No u

Kia Stinger review
I'd take a Stinger over the Arteon.
If you take an arteon over a stinger you're dumb
I'm not smart, but at least I know the Kia will last longer.
Not that big
Has tons of space
The Arteon is more comfortable too
but also much less powerful and less reliable
With me being me that's fine
Also idk how long VW's warranty is
Long enough
10yr powertrain warranty is nice to have though ๐
If I bought an Arteon I'd probably void the warranty before it ran out
VW ended their 7 year warranty
laughs in 2 year EU warranty
Where Kia has 7
- RWD, so that's a no-brainer really xD
Practically speaking the right answer is to get the Toyota Avalon.
Avalon has uninspiring handling doesn't it? Or is it decent?
It's a luxury car.
So probably not stellar.
Likely not bad.
And they do have the TRD package if you want more edge to your handling.
My grandpa's 07 RX has absolutely abysmal steering
Lol
It's truly terrible. So light and disconnected and not particularly accurate
It's better in my '99
Crossovers aren't known for handling.
No, but the 07 is like... Particularly bad.
tl;dr: Still an Avalon, but cooler.
Camry TRD is much cheaper tho. Only 32k.
And you get the last midsize V6 on the market.
Funny how Toyota is the last man standing with big engines.
G70 has a V6 and it's decidedly midsize
G70 is considered luxury.
Stinger is closing in on large
Can you get a 6cyl in the A4/3er still? Or are they 4 bangers only now?
A4/3 are absolutely luxury cars.
Those are not Camry competitors. Though I'm certain someone at Toyota just became very flattered.
Why does the G70 with a manual cost 3000 dollars more.
I didn't even know you could get one with a manual
The only trans I saw was the 8HP when I configured one
only with the 4 popper
oh
rip
would you rather have the manual or the 3.3L v6?
wow, the Audi configurator is terrible
a) can't get the Avalon here
b) not RWD
Stinger is optional RWD xD
Base Stinger is RWD, isn't it?
think so?
but nobody buys that
cause you cant drive it in the rain or anything
A base 440i xDrive costs as much as an optioned out Stinger
lmao
Not here Pogey
yeah the bmw is far cheaper there
And far less optioned.
A loaded Kia/Hyundai in the US are on par with a stripper BMW.
thats what i meant
Also I'd rather have the V6 tbh.
mk
or... hmmmmm
would you rather have the slow g70 with a stick or the fast g70 with the zf 8hp?
man I'd have to drive the manual tbh.
oh please
It's hardly slow.
It's not as fast
But slow? Hardly.
its like 8 seconds to 60 isnt it?
6.6 seconds.
A fully optioned BMW 440i xDrive, with all the bells and whistles including a tow hitch and individual colors/interior is.... โฌ104.462
Stinger GT 3.3 V6 TT AWD is... โฌ99.995
Difference is not that big tbh ๐
I'd get the manual G70, because manual xD
It looks better.
I'd seriously have to test drive it to see if the manual is worth it.
Emissions tax on the V6 is still f*cking high, even on import
FeelsBadMan
Yeah the EDM vs. USDM is always fun to discuss.
Shit we can afford here is just... not attainable over in Europland.
imo paddles are fun cause you get to control the car and tell it what to do within reason without the potential to stall it out or break shit, and be able to just swap back to letting the car do it whenever
or small cars ๐
Well it's fine in Germany, Belgium, France etc, because they don't have the extra tax we do
"Oh yes the Honda Fit is a nice small car"
MK: uhhhh, yeah about that
1 Europe my *ss
"we can go smaller!"
yall have tiny cars
Almost jealous.
bbl
nah but a 5 seater sedan is not oversized imo
but we don;t have emissions tax
how does it work trying to fit a big family into a Corsa mk?
lol
I mean look at this parking spot, it's like too small for a Fiesta xD
Uhm I've fitted 5 people in the Corsa xD
comfortably?
I was
๐
We fit 6 in our Explorer and went on a road trip
Was fairly cramped but it was ok
Now Corsa is smaller on the inside than the old Corsa tho
course it comes back to that americans drive further
our trip was 890 miles to see grandparents
and it was like 1/4 of the way across the US
Our trip was 7 miles to see grandparents
My other grandparents are ~10 miles away
My other grandparents are infinite miles away
๐ฆ
I've decided the new Corsa is too small for me, so my next Opel should be the Insignia (Regal)
youre buying another opel?
Maybe
We shall see
It will still take 3 years or so before I buy a new car xD
But the Corsa F isn't on the list xD
Hmm.... I'd get another Lexus but not an RX
I love mine but the new ones are ... interesting ?
xD
I'd get an RC F if I could get it half price, or a GS F
RC F is too impractical though
I don't think they are bad, but resale value stay too damn high here xD
lexus?
Yes
no, there's a couple
theres one at the lexus dealer that quoted me 7600$ for a new trans
can get it done at a normal shop for 1k including the new trans
Nice (:
though
there are upgrade parts you can get
i'd get those installed while putting the new trans in
Ok so a German 2017 GS F imported to here will be over โฌ90k (100k USD) ๐ฎ
Rtm?
remote touch mouse
AH
last gen lexus infotainment
the new one is the RTC and is a mousepad
the older one has a little mouse you push around
but you never have to use it
its not great
but you have hard buttons for heated/cooled seats, and climate control
and steering wheel buttons for radio
(or just ask Alexa)
What uses Alexa?
Don't have one
Lol why xD
I use it for smart home stuff, setting timers and alarms and reminders, playing music, etc
i also have an Echo Auto
Omg the cheapest 2018 Insignia (Regal) with the awesome seats is โฌ22.5k ๐ Cheap af
eh
Cheapest 200hp Insignia is 29k feelsbadman
How about a 500hp Insignia ๐
Never made
America sells an 840hp boat
Demon
691?
Yikes
its something like that
but they just upgraded it
and also its not allowed to go on the dyno
Ow ow wait, I have a new funny Tesla story
properly
So a friend of mine with a Model 3, I've talked to you about it before (delivery issues etc)...
So his sentry mode bugged out or whatever, keeping the screen on at the same image for many, many hours... So the image is now burned into his screen
:Pogey-1:
did he try restarting it?
pushing both steering wheel buttons
cause LCDs can have image retention but they shouldn't be able to burn in
Uhm the burn-in did get less, yeah just like image retention
But it's still not gone
Did he try doing a hard reset?
weird
Idk happened yesterday, I don't know if he contacted Tesla
If it doesn't go away he should get them to swap out his display.
Yeah told him the same
yea he should try doing a hard restart if he hasn't already
This may be the craziest and most intricate build at SEMA this year. The design of the suspension, fab work, billet 4 rotor, AWD, a LOT of care and craziness...
Dayyyym
Yeah it's been in the works for years
I've been watching the build on YouTube it's sick
I remember watching when an "un-named" shipping company lost the 4 rotor
I mean, rn, the intake tubes need welding (but i bet they are working on it rn) and it pretty much needs tuning and body
it runs and drives though
nvm for the un-welded intake, it is welded, didn't see the 1320 vid when i said that
Official EuroNCAP results: Mazda CX-30 highest result "Adult Occupant" ever
Higher than even a Model 3?
๐
Also Rich Rebuilds got a BMW i8

Lucky lucky lucky
Doug called the Performance 3 the best Tesla
It's nice to have the winter shoes sorted for my car.
They had to replace the valves on the tires as well, which is a bit of a bummer. But oh welp
with how little it snows here, winter tires are a fat waste of money
thus, all seasons ๐
mostly we just get rain
It rained most of the day today.
It was really bleh.
Anyways. I'm gonna head out to repark my car. Swapping to the winter tires this weekend.
@dense shard yes, 99% vs 98% xD
We've been trying to find the "best score."
I didn't know EuroNCAP actually assigned scores.
Seems a bit silly considering there's always a curve as new safer cars come out.
It's kind of why I prefer IIHS' scores.
but hey, top score
either way the safety tests are decent but not the be all and end all
NCAP scored different areas seperately and give an overall star score
IIHS is similar.
Can't go wrong with most modern top rated cars.
After a point it boils down to luck.
A guy in a turbocharged Nissan 350Z challenge a Porsche 911 GT3 on the Autobahn. Of course the Porsche 911 GT3 accept his challenge. While cruising in high s...
VWs make the best sleepers
They're not that hard to make fast and not many people realise that
I sincerely doubt that VW had a stock engine or transmission.
tbh, I can agree w/ you on that one.
@dense shard that was probably either a 2.0 16v or a VR6. Probably had a DSG transmission. Obviously it was modified, but it's not hard to make 600hp with a turbo VR6.
"Tesla will face challenges from Ford next year"
Just as the Wrangler will?
I've stopped caring about upcoming Ford products. I don't have the patience to wait this long. If the Mach E is actually dropping next year I'll be amazed.
I doubt it.
For the time being I wanna do I-10, then do Highway 1 up the California coast.
It's a shame there's nowhere in america when you can just haul ass like no tomorrow
Highest speed limit is 85 for a brief stretch of road in Texas
Highest speed limit I've driven myself is 70
I've driven 85 today (:
I get about 14mpg @ 70mph
Lmao
Sitting at 3200rpm and the aerodynamics of a filing cabinet will do that to you I suppose
Oof 3200rpm @70 is higher than my car
Yeah but longer gears
Depends on the final drive, but yes that's not low
Final drive is 3.08:1
I'm running at maybe 2500 at 70.
IDK if 3.08 is good/bad/whatever
Mine is;
1st: 3.93:1
2nd: 2.19:1
3rd: 1.41:1
4th: 1.019:1
Final Drive: 3.08:1
I wonder if my fuel consumption will get better with the winter tires.
Since they are slimmer tires. 195 instead of 205.
But to be fair, I haven't checked the pressure in my summer's for a good while now...
1 3,73:1
2 1,96:1
3 1,30:1
4 0,95:1
5 0,76:1
Reverse 3,31:1
Final drive 4,29:1
The gears are quite long..
Can't find the gear specs for my car.
All I've found so far is, "yes, it has a transmission"
Lol
okay found a test sheet from car and driver.
Notes: "CVT? Possibly Toyota has finally made it not suck."
cheeky shits they are
I'd love to check in the Dutch database, but the only manual it contains is the 1.2 Turbo for the 2019 Corolla xD
Could be y'all didn't get a manual 2.0?
Yeah we didn't xD
I know a few markets have reserved that engine for top trims.
And what kinda bozo shifts gears themselves in a top nacho car?
<- Besides this one.
I would
Have fun in traffic :P
With the traffic I encounter, not an issue tbh
The 'rolla shifter is easy enough to work in traffic.
Same with mine
Man C&D is just bashing the Corolla.
The Civic is vastly better. Despite the manual being feature sparse at the same cost.
Honestly the Civic doesn't ride that much better than the Corolla.
The only thing I'd give to the Civic is more room in the back seat.
"If you want driving fun, get a 1.5T civic or a GTI."
Ah yes. A GTI. If I want fun I have to spend an extra 6k for a barren German box that will break within the warranty period.
Or I can get a Civic... just as barren, twice as ugly, and likely gonna put more gas in the oil than in the combustion chamber.
(assuming you can even find a manual Civic hatchback.)
Internet tells me that my (E46 320i) gear ratio is:
1st Gear 4.23 :1
2nd Gear 2.52 :1
3rd Gear 1.67 :1
4th Gear 1.22 :1
5th Gear 1 :1
Final Drive 3.38 :1
Reverse 4.04 :1
TIL - I can go faster in reverse, than I can in first gear.
Same ๐
I kind of want to put my car on a dyno.
But ha-ha. It is still having its electrical issues. So gotta fix that first.
A BMW with electrical issues? Never!
||xD||
I might see if replacing the alternator, belt, and tentioner fixes it.
That's it? Nice.
No idea, honestly. I just know that the issue comes up at 5,000+ RPM.
Took a multimeter and checked by the battery, and it was all over the place when I revved it.
Will have to check it again.
My lights flicker, but they always have and always will
interior lights and stuff
headlights used to, but after the new LEDs they don't.
My headlights straight up go into overdrive when I reach the limit where my car does funky stuff.
lol
No, but really. It's like I put on my high beam or something. I know it did my rear lights as well at some point, no idea if it does it still.
It legit burnt out all of my four headlight bulbs the first time it happened. Low and high beam.
oh shit
At least I have fog lights that I can use and be legal.
my headlights should be good for the rest of the cars life lol
LED?
yeah
They still fail, tho. Which sucks, since they are supposed to have a lifetime of like 100k hours or something.
My car is already 20 yrs old, they'll probably last until it's uneconomical to repair
My car is getting up there. ๐
I've thought about upgrading to LED headlights but headlights alone are over $100
I had to replace one headlight already and I paid free for it so I'm not gonna upgrade yet
the next few I need are gonna cost me free too
I kind of want to upgrade my headlights as well.
First I really just want to replace the plasic lens with a fresh one.
Was like 50$ for an upgrade kit for my car, slotted right into the enclosure and has made a huge difference at night
I needed a new headlight housing assembly 5 days after I got my car because the leveling hardware broke
The assembly (sold as one entire piece) was like $1500
junkyard?
if only people bought the new Corolla
They are.
@dense shard I have a 2010 GTI, it's been a great car.
I'm actually happy to hear that.
With VW it's too much with extreme opinions imo.
I honestly couldn't afford to take the risk I might get a dud. Also the fact the Corolla hatch was built in Japan was a huge selling point for me.
I've had mine for the last 90k miles or so? Got it with around 60k
put 23k on it the first year I owned it.
Only issue I've had with it was when I needed to clean the valves at 110k, issue with all DI cars that don't have any port injection really.
Did the work myself, has been fine since.
people give VW a lot of shade for reliability but if you look at what's causing the CELs it's usually minor
anything from a bad coolant sensor to the gas cap being on wrong
Honestly the carbon shit was a deal breaker for me.
Which disqualified pretty much most cars. Most dealerships just gave me a blank look over the issue.
So much for common knowledge.
@dense shard EV's are great IF, and that's a big IF you have a spot to charge it at either of your end destination.
You either want to charge it while you're at home, or while you're at work (or both).
An EV wouldn't work for me because of that reason. No garage with charging, and can't charge it at work.
I'm happy with fossil power.
It's public parking here, we have about 10 meters to the closest spots. But ti's luck of the draw if you get those spots.
And the outlets in the garage is trash. Decades old, only good for engine heating.
Rowhouse. Or whatever you want to call it.
@eager kite Something similar to this.
That's the area where I live. So running a cable to the parking isn't viable...
And the garage is at the beginning of the street.
ah ok
well as more and more cars are EV, hopefully residential planners add charging infrastructure to their sites
We have talked about fixing up the garage to renew the gates and add better power lines so that people could install EV chargers.
So when is Lamborghini going to file a copyright claim
@fair bronze Next week
Nice
It just looks like a heavily modded Huracรกn
Yeah
Now that I think of it, it kinda looks like Rockstar is going to add it to GTA soon
well, they were targeting 2021 for launch, so prob will see some hardware this year (2020)
Lambo doesn't have copyright on any car design semi-similar to any of their cars
They do if it looks like a copy of their products
but thankfully it isn't so
It's a fucking ripoff mate
of what
Like I said, Lamborghini Huracรกn
But of course you don't see the similarities since it's electric and that makes you hard
Not at all
Yes it does, it's just smaller
way more aggressive body on this car than the Huracan
ok they have a tiny one near the bottom
this car has a tiny one in the bottom and a massive one behind the door
spoiler also very different
It looks like a Lamborghini but in GTA
also the backs of the vehicles are very different
Dude I'm not saying it is a 1-to-1 perfect copy
it's barely similar at all
tbh it looks closer to this than the Huracan
in terms of nose shape and sharp angles
I'm seriously doubting if you are trolling or not
I'm just saying the only thing that the car really has in common with lamborghini is having their logo on a badge and having the windshield flush with the hood at the same angle
The rear looks like a Veneno
yea it's kind of similar to that
@fair bronze Rockstar finna sue
They're good at that
I got my winters on now. Car feels strange.
Also, I did the classic mistake of not checking rotation direction before mounting the first two tires.
That might be why lol
Nah. I changed them around after I did the first two tires.
Winter tires always feel different
They probably just feel weird since they are so much softer than my summer tires.
And slimmer.
@civic spoke Real winter tires are just treads
Yeah. Super soft compared to summer tires.
EVs don't really work for me, honestly. Range to cost is out of whack for my needs. I do 90 miles round trip just for work, no charging near work, and I regularly have places to go after work.
People that live in high density areas like cities and metroplexes they work for, but much of the US is wide open, and pretty far away. So for now it's a no go.
If you had 150~200 mile range, and ability to charge at home. Then it would work for you.
I drive 60+ miles round trip to get to and from work. And we just don't have a place to charge at, else I would honestly consider it.
I could honestly do with a Renault Zoe or something like that.
I mean a Tesla has 300 miles of range in the LR model 3, and superchargers all over the US
300 miles if you're lucky
Model 3 LR is rated for 325
I always wondered how the range degrades over time as the batteries wear out
The range is always "up to".
Mhm
Range greatly decreases in the cold.
I'd probably still be able to use a Renault Zoe, the early models have a rated range of over 200 km's.
Even if 40% was lost due to cold, etc. I'd be able to use it as a daily to get to/from work.
Depends on how far you have to travel of course
It's 100 km round trip.
For normal boring A to B driving I wouldn't mind driving an electric car
Yeah, same.
I'd just want a normal car for fun
A used Zeo can be had for under 85,000 SEK here in Sweden. Which isn't too bad.
Not sure, honestly. I know that many rent out the battery pack or something?
Renault does
hahaha
Lexus Remote Touch isn't even bad
maybe someone can educate me. Let me set up the question..... did you know on police laser speed readers theres a laser warning? did you know that those lasers with the warnings operate at a specific frequency? did you know that many car safety systems house lasers behind the rearview mirror which operate at the same freq as police? did you ever stop and think "man, arent these lasers just PEW PEWING all over my eyes either as the car approaches you or bouncing off your mirror into them? i run a laser detector thats close enough to my eyes and it goes off with many of these cars, which means the beam is likely hitting my eyes
what makes these systems using a laser freq which has a warning for eye damage safe to use anywhere near humans, especially at a long distance where the beam(s) are much wider?
wondering how nobodys been sued yet? or maybe they have and i dont know?
its the same issue if the cops do it to your car as well, however thats a very infrequent exposure, versus a laser car following you for a distance
you just explained why it isn't dangerous, because it's at a long distance @fresh bluff
ever heard of the inverse square law?
also, uh, I don't know of any cars that have lasers behind their rear view mirrors
Volvo and Mazda are big users
I don't know the models off hand
I have not heard of that
wtf lmao
as the distance away from the source increases, the intensity goes down extremely quickly
You think your eyes gonna get roasted by cruise control lasers or whatever?
the reason why police scanners have eye safety warnings on them is because if you looked right into one at point blank range you would damage your eyes as the intensity would be quite high
yes^
But after like 5 feet they aren't dangerous anymore because of the inverse square law
and yea lidar/radar systems on cars are not at a high enough intensity even at the source to hurt you
Guys I can't be dreaming right ?
Almost heaven...

We have regular cars 100% here
Same here
Isn't that most of the time with cars like that
Unless you live in Hollywood or something
More common super cars are on popular places I think
Virginia is okay for living just in a thousand years we will never see something like that
I've got an R8 driving around in the neighbourhood and there was a guy with a Ferrari 360 but he got caught for money laundering
Haha
another one? Nice
GX?
2014 gx460
Fancy
@fathom socket That's an SVJ, not trying to sound like a know-it-all but i can tell because of the shape of the wing
Indeed
It's a svj that's more insane
Finally did it
$26,280
93k miles
ultra luxury package

im gunna keep this thing for ever
@fathom socket I will run over your prized plasma with a vw thing

and you payed 26k usd for your automobile of choice?
The interior looks quite.... Dated to be honest, or is it just me?
oh yeah all the lexus products look dated and their nav looks antique
but that's not really what you buy a lexus for in my opinion
I am seeing near me gx460s for 26k at half the mileage
is it the ultra luxury package 2014?
premium 2014s
Bwah the 2014 RX for example does look much less dated imho
i suppose - but i think they sell way more of those so it gets updated more often
than any other lexus model
Is fulltime 4wd?
oh yeah roll detecting air bags
automatic locking front diff
17 speaker mark levinson sound system
air suspension
sport and comfort buttons
SPORT AND COMFORT BUTTONS

it's got a cooler in the arm rest
the truck opens to the side
and changes when it shifts gears
I AM ASKING ABOUT THE SPORT BUTTONS
