Acura TSX*
ye
TSX as well
Acura in general is like, a step above the "normal cars" here ig
i think?
This one
that is...interesting to see
wtf that's so weird to see, we don't have an Accord wagon lmao
Yikes the Crosstour is odd
It's just a TSX wagon tbh, the sedan is 1:1 a TSX with Honda badging
LOL yikes glad we don't have the Crosstour around here
...i don't know that we have a TSX wagon here actually
don't think I've ever seen an acura wagon
No you guys didn't xD
ok didn't think so
Hang on, you guys did
sure enough yeah
that's why I don't recognize it
discontinued and prolly sold like shit here

not bad not bad
would be sweet if we get the corolla hatchback in the US
but I don't think we are getting it
It looks cool
(Touring Sports)
The 180hp hybrid isn't bad ๐

I feel sad the Saab 9-5 NG SportsCombi never went in to production tho
my mom had to take her car back to do some stuff but damn i was enjoying having that 201hp 4cyl
201hp
I already enjoy the "power" in my parents car: 170hp
Twice as much as mine
๐
Nothing
There isn't one
didn't think so
It's kinda the same size a a short C-Max (not the larger one)
reminded me of the old Yaris lmfao
Why blur the plate?
Not sure which one the US got, lemme check
Finally driving my car in the rain
It was already blurred in this pic
Hmmmm
But 3KDN81 if you want
Lol
Weird design quirk I found
Rear end gets a lot of spray from the road
Not an issue my Suzuki had.
Cervo
I see them sometimes, not that often
A little kei car
Adorable 3 popper turbo
Kei cars are awesome
Pink
LOL no way
@rotund matrix I've checked, it's kinda the same size as the C-Max you have in the US, a bit larger than a Honda FIt. To give you an idea
gotcha
Cool ๐
Intercooler the size of a volume of manga
they're testing em rn
60 horsepower... Peppy for a car weighing 900kg
2020 Honda Fit/Jazz
New Fit?
yuh
About time
^ yeah the current fit is old
C'mon Fit Si
Bwah not really, most cars have a cycle for +- 6 years
Ford and Nissan don't count
European brands too?
Most brands operate on 4-5 years. Can't speak for Europe
US is hyper competitive
Can't really think of any EU car being replaced after 4 years tbh ๐
Could be different in the US
@rotund matrix Does the new Fit have backwards opening doors? ๐
xD
i still very much love the RS7
Yes, the Audi Rs6 Avant ๐
To bad they'll all be used as get-away cars after a heist
Lol
^
The faith of all RS6's

Or RS4
that's cause they gotta go fast
Speedwagon
SPEEDWAGON
But yeah, many of those get stolen (all generations) and a couple of weeks later, they are in the news
Can confirm
Anybody remember the Jon Olsson RS6?
Speedwagon isnt dead, he just asked Stroheim to turn him into an Audi Wagon. Lol
Yes
That was a fat f
not wrong, also F

Also funny that after diesel gate... European S4/S6's are diesel
US Spec is still gas tho
Lol
I only speak gasoline and electric, I have a hard time dealing with Diesel
you mean,MPร
we have EVEN cheaper version of diesel here
its that fuel oil thinky u know
Is MPร what Google suggests what it is?
literally
but they have it in gas stations here
besauce people use that for farming equipment
yes
(tax free)
We did have that too... but then the government just scratched it
SO now farming equipment etc also have to pay full price

I have no homework in any subjects.... ๐บ๐ธ
Gas is rated as E5 (or E10), stating 5- to 10% ethanol
Bad for the environment, bad for cars, bad for fuel economy
yes
Gas should be E0
Not as bad as corn ethanol
FlexFuel E85 cars
Boooo
It's confusing too now, in The Netherlands you can get regular (95) as both 95E5 and 95E10, premium (98) only as 98E5.
But in Belgium for example, you can only get E5 (implying 98) or E10 (implying 95)
So "one system" but not quite
@stoic ledge Every country should have a letter representing different fuels
Sure, but make it the same for all countries
lmfao FlexFuel
i remember that trying to be relevant 10 years ago
my dad's Tahoe is technically E85 FlexFuel-able
Yeah we had a few cars too
Ford Mondeo/Focus/S-Max, Volvo (multiple versions)
But there are almost 0 gas stations who offer E85 xD
Your dad should have gotten the Hybrid Tahoe xD

i remember seeing two or three of them irl then haven't seen them in YEARS
i think people who got em got rid of em fast
Few cars used em, and usually got shit fuel economy when they did.
No, but I nearly looked at one.
Nope
Damn shame Ford stopped making em recently.
i've only driven one ford focus and it had the worst transmission i've ever driven using
was stuttery as fuck
Jw, test drove a 14โ and really liked it
Looking at getting one as a replacement for my volvo
hey if yours feels fine then sure
i just remember my aunt had a focus for a while and the transmission died like twice in the time they had it
ford covered the fixing but it always felt and drove like shit :P
I know they had transmission problems early on
Just have to justify that my volvo is too expensive to repair and get my parents to cosign

Also my car is expensive as hell to fill up
The Focus issues were largely related to early Sync systems and the DCT transmission.
Not really an issue in the ST since it was manual only.
Tiny gas tank tho.
i kinda liked the focus line ngl
2.3 EcoBoost 280hp
Not bad... Not really a fan of those rims tho
Yeah
Alloy would look good on it

braap
Ok mud flaps, that exhaust... Now that's just bad
stock rims look good on it too, ngl
i was mostly talking about the rims/calipers on it tbh @stoic ledge
Ah xD
Do it
Gotta find one first
Inb4 failed head gasket
yikes.png
4WD tho
Snow usability is overrated anyway
Drift mode tho
Yes, buy it
owo
hot
monochrome is clean af
you: that civic in the back right
the guy she tells you not to worry about: that focus
Yes xD
I wonder if Nicky Vโs customs is still open to business

falcon
No car?
Rip
Its a 2 1/2 hour class too
The gasket issue was fixed on the RS I recall.
Also I could have sworn the new ST is a 2.0.
nope... 2.3. What the hell Ford. Surely you could have tuned a 2.0T to 280.
This isn't gonna make people who pay the displacement taxes very happy.
laughs in american
^
not having to pay 3x the price of the car in taxes
๐บ๐ธ
Like @stoic ledge
We're not paying anything because it's not being sold in the US.
Imagine having to pay tax to have more displacement
๐ ๐บ๐ธ ๐
I'm fine with that. I've finally upgraded to a 2.0.
1.3 liters bigger than my last car.
3L here rip
2.4
4.6 L
(3L V6, 220hp)
1.2
.5L smaller than my first car, same power, vastly better fuel economy.
its weird, anything bigger than 3L is considered big now
Anything bigger than 3 was always big to me.
3.3l twin turbo in my next car :)
Anything over 1.5L is considered big now
Honestly the V6 in the old Ford Contours was massive.
2.5L V6 in a compact car. wowee that car could fly.
Wish my parents got the Ecoboost in the explorer
Mondeo with 2.5T 5-cyl Volvo engine
- z o o m *
My parents have it
That was a sweet sounding engine
3.5L twin turbo, same in our Taurus
Lol can't read
The na explorers arenโt half bad
High tech stuff back in the day.

Mom has a '14 Explorer Sport, Dad has '13 Taurus SHO
Even had VTEC(E)

Probably better than the northstar I have in my car
It was fun. Then again anything is fun with a manual.
We calculated yesterday (falcon and I): an Explorer Sport would be Lol well that would be
171,536โฌ USD
1MZ-FE = slow
My Rx has 220 but it's still a slowpoke cause the trans is godawful
SVT had a different intake and the runners were painted black.
looks like
I wonder if i could buy a boxed T6 motor
Honestly wasn't a huge fan of the Euro Ford Mondeo.
I always found the USDM version to be nicer looking.
And drop it in my car
Volvo T6 yes
The front end was near identical.
It was the rear end where it fell apart in Europe.
It's like they designed a station wagon... then got the interns to do the hatch and sedan versions.
The US version isn't really that much better
https://preview2.netcarshow.com/Ford-Contour-2000-1600-08.jpg The gen 2 looked vastly better.
Also Wagon > sedan (:
I really like the fusion
Ford wagons were always dreadfully boring.
Here we go. Gen 2... or refresh.
It fit with other Ford cars of the era.
nope, skip
That's genuinely horrible.
And a bit weird that a world car's styling could vary that much.
Ford cars then were weird, new style Focus, this Mondeo, small new Ka
The 90โs and early 2000โs were odd
The late 90s Taurus... the bean.
Bean
Well... more of a suppository.
But even the regular versions:
https://media.autoweek.nl/m/k79yue4btwzl_800.jpg
Lights seem ahead of their time.
Yeah it came out in 1996 iirc, till 2003
Thin style.
Yes
The European accord was a bit different tho
true
Classic Honda there.
Yup
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/5fjn8xg1fq8/maxresdefault.jpg I have more of this in mind, but unlike Ford, Honda keeps their styling more consistent in other markets.
Yeah
Different platform, but meh... looks good either way.
The EU spec
ahhhh, weren't they not very popular to begin with?
That too xD
I remember Europe had the hatchback a ways back.
The A E R O D E C K
very aesthetic.
Civic Aerodeck
Ah lol yes that one too
But they used the name again for the Civic
The Accord Aerodeck you linked still exists
Has been with the same owner since 1994

Car that'd older than I am.
Same
same kek
To be fair the Berlin Wall was still a thing when I was born.
Get a new bulb at action for like โฌ1.69
Or a Philips bulb for โฌ4
For get it replaced for you for โฌ14
I almost ended up getting a 2002 Accord v6
Had a metric fuckton of miles but was very well maintained and in fantastic conditikn
A metric fuckton of miles
And a rebuilt transmission probably.
As long as you are not the guy having to rebuild it, who cares xD
That generation of Honda transmissions are notorious.
Apparently the early 6 speeds were no better.

Toyota also had some bad diesels in their Avensis tho xD
What was that about Toyota being dead reliable?
Or Aygos with windows falling out
Or Aygos with sudden broken clutch/gearbox/driveshaft?
๐
A window falling out is a dramatically smaller issue than the transmission grenading itself.
Honda never fixed the 4 speed automatics. They extended a warranty after being taken to court.
Bwah clutch gone after 30k miles/50k km isn't a sign of quality tho xD
Lol > 4 speed auto
It was the 90s.
Still xD
5 speed autoboxes were pretty rare in the 90s.
> No 9 speed dual clutch in the 90s, tssk
Hell car makers didn't embrace higher numbers till the mid 00s.
oh because DCT is such a reliable and solid technology.
Whoever thinks DCT in mainstream cars is a good idea should be made to push boulders up hills.
Especially if they apply dry clutches
Even the wet clutches aren't great.
Which you can't rev too high because it can't handle it?
I'll take a 4 over a 7 DCT.
I really wish Lexus had put the powertrain from the LS in my car
4 liter V8, powerul and smooth, and a really nice 5 speed auto
It functions okay in my car MK but it's prone to issues in a lot of RX from the first gen

I've gotten it close to redline a number of times, works fine. Though engine burns just a bit of oil when I drive like that.
Have to add about a quart every 2500miles
Well within VWs factory specs
lol
Shouldn't burn a drop but it does do a bit
Not blue smoke or anything just add a bit here and there
VW factory specs... I'm sure they also planned the emissions to stop working in daily driving.
Lol
Lol
lol glad cause diesel is expensive af over here
Step 1) make reliable cars
Step 2) make sure they are not overpriced
Profit
Dunno about reliable, but they used to be cheap.
They are reliable here, but I've heard some mixed stories in the US
as far as Hondas and Toyotas go, they tend to be some of the most reliable cars in the US
Honda doesn't sell that many cars here (0.36% market share this year
) so no verdict there
Toyota's are quite reliable
Not really major issues
Only the super cheap and small Aygo has some gearbox issues
Honda: 0.36%
Subaru: 0.10%
Toyota: 5.86%
Nissan: 2.98%
Kia: 5.92%
Hyundai: 3.39%
Lexus: 0.23%
VW: 11.4%
Opel: 8.04%
Ford: 6.26%
Peugeot: 7.25%
Renault: 5.66%
Skoda: 4.38%
Seat: 2.73%
Tesla: 2.63% (all company cars)
Fiat: 1.16%
Jeep: 0.35%
Alfa Romeo: 0.19%
Dacia: 0.67%
BMW: 5.43%
Audi: 3.17%
Volvo: 4.28%
Mercedes: 3.96%
whats this
Market share
though don't you only get the CT
CT, ES, IS, LS, RX, NX, UX, RC, LC
- Ford
- Toyota
- Chevy
Completely different than here xD
Oh you get them all? I thought you had mentioned only getting the CT
Nope all of the ones above
Nice
Alfa Romeo postd
there's still a 155 in the back so I guess this counts to be here
That's not you typical standard Alfa Romeo ๐
Also: nice license plate in case you can't remember the make of your car
Loool

I have to replace both headlights because they shop doesn't have a original replacement bulb
KEK

derp vw technically has 21% marketshare according to that list
Yes, yikes
audi, porsche, seat, vw, skoda
i don't even know anymore why they make the effort to design cars differently for seat
or sometimes just design little elements differently
like the seat and Skoda variants of the up ๐
I'd be cheaper to just make the same car
Mii/Citigo
Seat setup should be "more sporty"
Skoda setup should be "more spacious/value"
Audi setup should be "more luxurious"
and vw be like
ye we got all of that
leon vs golf vs a3
basically the same car just designed differently
If I had to choose between those 3... I'd pick the Octavia
golf and Leon even git the same interior ๐
Nah it's a bit different
idk
we got an 3/4 year old golf and a half year old Leon was like the same ๐
Older Seat Toledo/Leon and Audi A3 had the same interior
VW Polo and Audi A1 (current) have the same interior
up and mii and citigo xd
colors are different tho
1st Superb == Chinese VW Passat LWB
Yeah VW is 50 shades of gray, Skoda/Seat == haply green and yellow
seatand skoda didn't have that reflecting piece of shit in the interior of the up
the first up had so stupid design ideas
reflecting inside
mirror on the driverside in the suncoverthingy
Lol xD
it drives beautifully and for that size feels pretty comfortable in terms of space
but heck these little annoying things
conclusion of my 2015 up, its good but would not buy again

> yes
we actually never had a car that inst from vw except one opel
Tssk
and a trabant that my dad put too close to a heater
i seriously don't trust opel
Yet you trust VW
the only crash i was involved in was because in pretty new opel couldn't turn

idk how that happened but a 180ยฐ into a tree is an interesting trick
my family got rid of that car even tho it was capable of driving if someone had fixed the steering but nobody trusts opel since then xdd
๐ค sounds like user error
๐ฎ
i avoid bigger cars than the golf
i hated the caddy
the only thibg i appreciated about the caddy was the backwards driving assistance
i mean an up is so small i don't need it but it would be neat
the camera on the golf is just overkill
and distractinf
I have 0 backup assistance... now is the car not that big but the C-pillar is MASSIVE (3 door) so I can't see anything xD
wanna learn how to fix cars buuut its not as easy as a pc or anything electrical because its more expensive and im in that regard stereotypical german
i think about installing electrical mirror control
^^^^ aftermarket parking sensors are often ugly xD But hey if they work, and they are probably black on your Audi, then why not xD
its stupid
Oh sweet, a car channel
It's black yea. But with a silver circle.
Lol yikes, why a silver circle
Heated mirrors where standard on nearly all Corsa's even on base models, but in NL they thought hey that's a feature wer're only putting in the top spec car

^^ why did they come with silver rings? xD
How should i know?!

They just came with them!
The previous owner installed them
It's also not calibrated right. So i don't use them
It says like 10cm left. But meanwhile I'm still 30ish cm away from something
No
0cm == 5 to 10cm
For some fucking reason
Also since it stops at around 15cm.
After that it just shows 0
And beeps aggressively
It's 40 - 30 - 20 - 15(?) - 0
I didn't install them. The previous owner did.
I don't use them since they're not accurate
So uhmm.... probs major problem, my shock absorber is covered in oil
Only the rear right end is broken probs
i wouldnt even mind
I would
To high of a risk. It coulld be either the brakes or shock absorber so they don't recommend me driving
lexus should make an RX F
make it hella expensive and hella nice
compete with the cayenne
no like renovate interior
and give it a big fucking engine
tighten it up a bit suspension wise
make it a decent sport suv
i see tons of cayennes, G63s, even quite a few Bentaygas around here
RX F would do fairly well i think
What about XC70 that has been lifted slightly?
30 miles away from having my engine broken in.
30 more miles till I can give 'er the beans.
Lifted xc70 looks more like an xc90
I'm assuming they're based on the same platform.
One Volvo has finally gotten rid of.
Only took em 15 years.
Theyโre all the same
Need to find a good cleaning routine for my car.
I just make it look nice
Trying to decide between more effort, or the bare minimum bucket wash and nu-finish
Wheels are a bitch?
Depends on the wheels... I'm quite happy with my new car. Nice big alloys with lots of space.
Beats trying to wash crapped up hubcaps.
I got a wheel brush it really helps
Armor All makes a really good wheel and tire cleaner
Might burn skin if it comes in contact but its pretty good
I'll wear gloves.
Thanks for the tip.
Think I'll settle on more effort, but not go crazy.
I still use brushes on my wheels but spraying the cleaner off with water does a pretty good job if you got decent coverage
I'm probably gonna pick up a cheap paint brush or something from a hobby store.
Just looking at the prices for automotive detailing brushes... man, and here I thought loot crates were bs.
"hey guys, looking to get not shit at car detailing"
"well first you need to spend 50 dollars on a wheel detailing brush made with real Nepalese boar hair... it's what the pros use."
I just have a cheap brush
That's my plan. focus on cheap
Donโt really care about the finish since it isnโt shiny in the first space
I just want to care... or pretend I do.
Basically take some precaution against scratching up my paint.

@viral matrix is that yours?
Ye

those rims are bad fit for the car and what tires are you runnin'? @viral matrix
235/45-17
How come they're bad fit
The car's just so high
60-80mm lower and it'd look mint
Won't do it though
I want bigger wheels but they're $$$
Got mine for 500โฌ, not bad for new set of tires and rims.
Someone bought them for their project car which they ended up selling before even trying the rims on
They're still 1/3 of the price I paid for the car
@viral matrix I meant stylistic wise and the make/model of the tire
I don't think you could lower your car 80mm...
Not without some serious compromise to either suspension travel or camber.
@indigo coral what does the lexus run now?
I'd put bags on my daily driver
A daily driver should not be modified heavily unless you need to
I wouldn't mind a lower suspension set up, but that would probably kill me on my driveway.
Forklifts are pretty cool
@vital glen I think the matte black rims fit the car pretty well, that image is just so dark.
But it's my opinion ofc

I can drive forklifts
Same.
Reach trucks are fun
Especially when you forget that youโre on it then you end up crushing something
What the fuck
The best part about our reach truck is that the fork height readout doesent actually work, so if youโre not paying attention youโre gonna crush the pallet
forklifts can be nasty friend of mine got caught up in 1, n made a perfect circle on the ground from his own blood
we gave him 9/10 for artistic impression
he recovered fine lol

It still amazes me how much even a small lift can weigh
#lifts-and-reach
Please add

@desert glen well fo the load you put on them, you've gotta have a big counterweight so not really a surprise

Basically
It's just a place to chill out for people that like cars. And want to speak with other car people mainly
or send pog emotes
whelp... back to editing some driving videos.
wow

it isn't spam its routine/requirement for here, new rule proposed by us all kthxbai
us car lads have real car convos here
and then in the downtimes, we send pog emotes

I agree with both statements and/or rules
^
The new BMW X6 will be with us soon, being launched at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. But this specific one is rather unique โ it is covered in Vantablac...
So the only thing one will see are those humongous kidney grills + headlights?
Nervous sweating

ah yes the batman bmw
Lol
lul
lulul
vanta black is so black it absorbs light
that car will get so hot
the ac will probably die XD
Any color absorbs light. Vantablack just absorbs heaps more of it.
The stuff that they spray on as a paint absorbs 99% of the light.
True Vantablack can't be sprayed on like that. And absorbs even more light. 99.96%
Saaaaame

uwu
UwU indeed'
pulls ahegao face

The smell of diesel makes me happy
You just like to smell what you smell like yourself MK :)
i prefer the smell of a farm hard cider, but that's not cars related
Technically car related.
Free game.
Lol just checkes 3 consecutive servers, all 3 posting that link xD
I hope not as a daily driver xD
I know there is a risk that maybe the car has a few mechanical issues
Daily driver
A little old Fiat Spider
This new one is just a Miata underneath so what's the point
ngl the new ones are cool lookin, I'd drive it
But it has a 1.4 Turbo engine so I like it more than the N/A engines
what kind of car should i get?
Prius
am poor
1994 Celica
Too expensive
1999 Corolla
am not selling my kidneys. Something more cheaper
Are you even old enough to drive? xd
no
bruv
Lol if a 1999 Corolla is to expensive... Maybe you shouldn't drive a car at all
are kid electric cars good?
1 hour drive for me to get this car. Only thing is, I just found it off the internet and the post is 9 years old...
i feel like he's just shitposting at this point
On a seriousl note: what car should I get as my first car? Getting one in less than a year, need it to go from home to work, that's all
Ok thanks for the tips
What should I look for in KMs and such? I don't know what is too high and things like that
Thirty minute drive gets me this
complete car newbie in terms of specs and whatnot :p
I can get a Civic from 04 with 200km for 2800 euro
that AE86 is HOT
how does it sound?
What
not bad tbh, sounds right for mileage
lmfao
there's this 2001 civic with 320k for 1750 but
approx 124k miles on that 2004 civic
that shifter
Bit rusty underneath that 86
hell yeah bro
fuck me xD
The shiftee, yes
@quiet elk Reminds me alot of something else not fit for discussion here
true

Japan on crack and beer, and you end up with a central console shift
D word shift
Censored etc
