My car is already blowing itself up all the time. By design.
Engines in general. Made to blow up once every fourth stroke.
> all
We have a saying here in Sweden.
KΓΆp en Opel, bli belΓ₯ten. (Buy an Open, be content)
Se naturen, genom plΓ₯ten. (See nature, through the sheet)

Opels used to have a reputition to be rust buckets. At least before.
Yeah, true
But newer ones don't rust anymore π
Corsa B was probably the last real rustbucket

get to borrow my mom's 2013 C250 whilst my rogue is in the shop, epic
god damn this thing has so much more pull than my rogue lmfao
I've driven my uncles V60 T5 yesterday... I feel ya xD 250hp vs my 83hp is a huge difference xD
Litteraly power *3
Wot
w0t m8
my rogue has approx 170hp and my mom's car has like... 201hp?
so yeah i def feel it, esp comparing the sizes of the vehicles
dam your mom has more power than u, that must sting a bit
i would choose lighter n more power π
mostly people only care about econemy nowdays
average hp amount is kinda like 150-300hp
idaf about economy lol
@fossil imp my uncle has the new T5, not the good old 5 cyl T5
yea i know but all T5s are nice
Truez but the 5 cyl is nicer, even if it's just for the sound of it xD
why are old volvos so boring to drive

mmm
Germany: cars are bad for the environment
Me: sticks green sticker to the windscreen
Germany: omg your car is eco-friendly
lol
Germany
is making hella lot of cars
does complain about car killin envoirment
Yes
mfw mine is a class 2
idk if the stickers mean the same thing across europe tho
it's the french Crit'Air thing
oh but it's like, the best for a diesel car
well class 1 is for hybrids and gas cars, but also euro 5&6 for petrol
sorry for our non-francophone friends
In Germany, the higher the number the better
Mines probably that last grey one
Oh it's only based on year?
Apparently
That's stupid
I'm pretty sure a 1996 Honda Civic gets better milage than 90% of the cars today @stoic ledge
Probably
Or my mom's explorer
But that doesn't matter
https://media.autoweek.nl/m/m1by1jeb71lc_800.jpg
This is extremely bad for the environment
VW likes to gas monkeys
https://media.autoweek.nl/m/m1cyjmrbkbmb_800.jpg
V12 TDI is eco friendly
(according to the German system)
lol what
What about mine?
Yeet
LPG, CNG, Hydrogen, EV and hybrids are always class 4 in Germany
So, @vital glen , put a LPG/propane tank in your H1 and it's a super eco-friendly tree-hugging vehicle (:
@stoic ledge that's what most European armies do
make everything run on diesel or propane
No gas
Chinese copy
Cummins won't sell to Ukraine Because if they do, Russians will stop buying Cummins @stoic ledge
Hey i need other opinions regarding C205 Mercedes vs C205 AMG, is it worth the price difference, ill buy it in Germany used + 20% tax on import to Serbia
I mean it will ve a 3.0 diesel
I dont like gas stuff
Thats crap
huh, i vastly prefer gas engines
@stoic ledge I wanna hear the conversation that took place when they decided to put a V12 diesel engine in a SUV
They must have been on some really good drugs to come to such a conclusion

@bleak parrot Please explain a bit more, I'm a bit confused π
diesel is being outlawed here
which is a good thing π
and any petrol cars in the future
2040 or sommat
which is not good π
@wheat hatch It probably was something like this
- We need to increase the sales of the Q7
- Hmmm, how about a more affordable version
- Nah, won't have large margins
- It's an SUV.. so a offroad oriented version
- Wtf is wrong with you, going offroad with a SUV, tssk
- Ok, how about a sports version
- Great idea, let's give it the engine of a tractor
Something like this probably π
Oh yes... let's add to that joke.
We need ze bigger engine for ze SUV...
What shall we poot there?
AHA! What about ze V12 diesel motor!
HANS! DAS IST EIN GENIALES IDE!
And the rest is history.
"The Audi version is too expensive"
"Let's put the V12 in the VW Toerag"
oh no wait... the V10 was the diesel.
W12 was petrol
"And to make it blend in... We paint it bright blue"
@stoic ledge How much does a V12 Q7 cost in π³π±
You can't get a V12 Q7 anymore new
Probably because Bentley finally managed to get exclusive rights to that W12.
Lol there are litteraly 0 V12 TDI Q7's for sale atm
hey people here
Oh
C8 corvette
R.I.P
or Supra
I don't think anyone bought the V12 TDI in the US.
the new one
C8
theyre almost the same price which is hilarious
Also, the CO2-emissions tax decreases over the years so it's not much morw than neighbouring countries
Maybe a bit if it's an original π³π± car
oh hey mk
Hey
Yeah, it's stupid expensive
whats the price disparity between the C8 'vette and the new Supra over in π³π±
They both start at around 50k from what I understand.
over in netherlands
In the US at any rate.
im asking
over here theyre between 50 and 60k
which is absurd for the BM- I mean supra, and pretty damn reasonable for a corvette
with 500hp and an actually nice interior
Is it absurd for the Supra?
@dense shard the c8 is 59,995 after delivery
And on top of that, I know that the old Supra might have cost as much as the new one costs today
At least the power output the MK4 Supra had when it came out was quite good back then
Remember the Gen 4 was 50k starting... in 90s dollars.
C8 pricing has not been confirmed, but according to my calculations it's β¬80k (Supra) vs β¬150k (C8)
The new one is a bargain.
it might be, but why would you get it over the new corvette?
I like the design
It looks duller than the first run of MacLaren cars.
It's Corvette
Same
I'll take the Supra.
More power, better price, mid engine
if the supra was 35-40k it'd be a different story, but at 60k the Vette takes it 100%
The mid engine isn't really a selling point to me.
And that's 60k for the base base model of the C8.
60k gets you the full monty in the Supra.
yes but the base base model is not half bad
got heated seats and shit from what I understand, and still has 500hp
and the interior is actually nice in the new vette
instead of the shitty plastic in the C7
it looks nice in the pictures
Let's wait for people to sit inside before we declare this new GM "high quality interior"
never gonna beat Merc or someone but it certainly looks a lot better than c7
It probably will
i mean the Model S and X were over 100k with less than perfect interiors and they sell great
the Model 3 feels every bit of 60k though, its a lot better
C8: 60k USD == β¬54.149
Incl VAT β¬72.072
CO2-tax: β¬66.325
Total: β¬138.397 == 153K USD

ok so the supra is probably a better deal in tax-land
@indigo coral model 3 feels like 30k
no it doesn't
lmao
lol

its really quite nice inside
It looks like 30k.
R.I.P @stoic ledge
@dense shard u dont get kaas meme?

its minimalist, but good quality
ask @stoic ledge for th ememe
No, I don't get Kaas.
π§
Kaas
model s and x also feel like 30k
Define good quality.
the S and X aren't as nice as the 3
@indigo coral model 3 feels like 30k
Tesla made the Model 3 better than S or X
Cause panel gaps and misaligned panels do not make for a 20k car these days.

Can't nwait for the Polestar 2
cant wait for global warming to hit car indrusty
No seriously. Having seen Model 3s up close. They look like the car Elon promised. 35k.
@stoic ledge can't wait for another car I can't affy
They don't look like 60k cars.
Same Tesla pricing, same Tesla performance, better dealers/stores, better design both inside and out
I like the minimalism personally, but I seem to be alone in that
@stoic ledge yes
We aint getting the polestar stuff are we?
Yes, but Volvo isn't known for reliability.
Durable sure, but you better be willing to put the love in.
tesla is dead last in reliability

Worse than the self lobotomizing Alfas?
people get bitchy about the infotainment hitching for half a second
and make reports about it
which destroys their rating
Literally every car has it hitch up at times
Wait, Volvo isn't known for reliability?
Hol up
theyre not that bad but not great
Never really heard any issues about Volvo's here
dont never say volvo reliable
usually electrical stuff
Looks at old T5 5-cylinder
ive never hit my rev limiter
You are made for the rev limiter
Too bad Volvo only makes 1.5 3-cyl and 2.0 4-cyl engines now
Tesla hasn't been rated by JD Power yet.
R.I.P fun engines
But Fiat is on that list, and is by far the worst.
T5 is still fast tho
"fast"

Volvo is just above em.
(also the Model 3 looks nicer on the exterior than the Polestar 2)
In tax country they are
I'll take Volvo styling over Tesla supercharged suppository look.
looks fine middle, front and back are weird
And the Model 3 looks like a Model S going through a growth spurt.
?
Model 3 rear is fine, front is just odd
The X looks like a fat model S
Rear is squished, front is alright, but middle is just weirdly proportioned.
Would rather support my chinese overlords than elon musk @stoic ledge
(stinger is still better looking than the Model 3 tho)
Yes, no doubt

daddy doug
GO READ MY COLUMN! http://autotradr.co/Oversteer The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is a midsize family crossover that feels like a luxury SUV -- and today I'm going ...
yea i just watched that
I hope they make a Telluride/Palisade with like 450hp
Wouldn't buy it
They won't.
Amazing it's < 50k USD
yeah and they made the Stinger xD
If it was priced like that around here... Everybody would buy one xD
the stinger is amazing
might not but im still going to buy one used
that's the fate
dont care at all
auto is fine for me
considering its a daily and I don't know how to drive stick
Learn
Did you buy a manual corolla? @dense shard
@stoic ledge Love the new Volvos π
Actually threw myself into the fire a few days ago.
too many stoplights on hills and stuff
The Corolla is totally fine in gridlock.
Up hill, down hill, stop and go... bring it.
You are not a significant part of the market, no one cares about your purchasing power @dense shard
@wheat hatch yeah it drives awesome
Wheelspin in 2nd
I'm one of the 3.0%
I've done my part to save the manuals.

OOF

At least the stinger is nice.

gonna be my next car
Too bad it's β¬100k
But they had their best chance at defeating BMW... but alas... no manual.
Not sure what I think of the Stringer
at the rate its depreciating it won't even be that long till I can hopefully maybe afford one
I rather take the F80 M3
@dense shard yeah, but you buy a bmw Because it says BMW
I like using turn signals though.

So I'm not sure BMW would even let me buy one of their cars.
My brother has proven you can use indicators in a BMW
He special ordered it with that option fitted
Expensive but worth it
I'm not paying an extra 5k for a turn signal.
lol
lol
I saw someone bitching about hwo they bought a stinger and didn' realise how big it was
Or paying a subscription for carplay.
they thought it cmopared to a BMW M2 ors omething
that's on them
it was hilarious
CarPlay subscription is a joke
like wtf did you expect? it's a 4 door sedan, not a coupe

BMW: Apple CarPlay, no Android Auto
Also BMW: creates app to unlock the car with Android
BMW would probably charge for android auto.
They probably looked at the Mercedes line-up
And saw all the Coupe titles on their SUV's and such
SUV Coupes are the worst btw ^^
mostly
Ya
Two SUVs r epic
Cayenne Coupe == Cayenne == Urus == Q7 == Q8 == VW Touareg
I saw a model 3 be hyper retarded
yeah i know mk
Define hyper... was it the driver or the car?
It jumped a curb
... That doesn't actually answer my question somehow.
I'm sure the driver blamed it on autopilot.
"Officer, I'm not driving drunk... le gasp, my model 3's autopilot let me drive drunk, the horror"
LOL South-Korea just banned all diesel Audi A6/A7's, VW Touareg and Porsche Cayennes from being sold
The driver went through a corner at blazing speeds and kept accelaratong through the corner
Hopped the curb and slammed on the brakes
https://www.autojunk.nl/2019/08/bmw-x3m-competition
LOL, a BMW X3M Competition... for $173515 USD
@stoic ledge Them big kidneys tho
USA: STARTING MSRP $76,900

The Evolution of BMW kidneys:

@indigo coral if it wasn't for esc and all the stuff the driver would have pulled for mustang and spun out
and hit a crowd
yeah people do stupid shit in any car
It's funny how the champion of compression ignition was actually the villain all this time.

LOL the X3 M Competition fully optioned in the USA is $83,400... so you can buy two X3 M Competitions and still have $6715 left

Being poor... this house is for sale for β¬1,500,000 in π³π±
Prices are getting insane here
That's why we are "poor"
xD
Also: look at that Honda Jazz/Fit

Doug's house costs that much @stoic ledge
He bought it using profits from his signed photo sales.
That's a quirk
Doug is an interesting man.
Yes he is
He would call himself quirky
I can see his mom talking about her son.
"Here's why my Dougie is the most interesting son every born."
Lmao
Would watch
Quirk #1 he wears 3 t shirts
Quirk #2 he demands I cut the crusts off his sandwiches
I've had a chat with some people about the new Supra and I mentioned the new 370Z
And how Nissan didn't mess up the design and engine + parts in their car
But mostly design
The first 350Z concept was made in 2001 and the new 370Z came out in 2019 and that's 18 years apart and still they look similar
Now the last JAZ80 Supra was made in 2002 and the new Supra is supposed to be released by 2020
That's also 18 years but
How do you fuck up so badly
@proven gull the 370z is a meme
How so?
It think it's a very cool car
It's a good face lift from the original
Even from the 2010 370z
But the Supra is just a different story
Toyota basically just asked BMW to make them a car
However it's still a good looking car and has gone through face lifting
Not a complete overhaul
Toyota just basically did what Mitsubishi did to the eclipse
I don't think it disserves to hold the Supra name
It's not even a Toyota it's just a Z4
@proven gull currently it's not in the cards for Toyota to make a sports car, not a good financial decision
They just spent so much money on it they just needed to get a return on something
so they contacted BMW
They should of just further developed the 2JZ
I understand however I just feel like is not what us people wanted from the Supra
Good companies?
No
Then what's the point of making something that people don't want
They don't care about the individual, they care about the majority
It will be a waste of money
And that's what I mean
I've seen much more people against the new Supra than for it
The people spending 50k on a Supra aren't young people
I know
However with the launch of the new Supra the old ones prices will probably drop
That's who are mostly outbursting
About it
but Toyota can't keep them in stock
people are spending 10, 20, 30 thousand dollars over sticker rn
Why don't they do something like what Jaguar and Aaron Martin
people want the new Toyota z4
Aston and Jaguar made the classics again and sold for a huge ammout of money but people brought them
And this was pretty recent if I recall correctly
Toyota mostly sells economy cars
with very low profit margins
They compensate by selling a shit ton
Why wouldn't they just remake the old Supra how it is
I mean I'm sure people buy them
For the price that they came out
Originally
That's almost 20yrs
Aston did that
Also Jaguar
They remade 60 year old cars
And they did well and this was quite recently
I remember seeing it somewhere
Aston and Jaguars also didn't spend almost 20yra of R&D money
But I am not sure what you are talking about
Basically Aston and Jaguar took blueprints of their classics don't remember the exact models and remade them in this year and sold them for a couple million
What I'm saying is that Toyota could do the same with the original Supra bit sell it for it's launch prince back in 1993
Well not original Supra
I can only find some article about electric conversions
JAZ80 I mean
I'm not sure where I saw it but it was somewhere
I remember reading about it
Toyota won't be remaking anything
I know
They're not gonna waste storage space keeping shit around
If would need to be redesigned from the ground up
I don't think Toyota was pretentious enough to leave a few chassis in white lying around
However they probably still have blueprints and manual's
Of the original
Wait I keep on saying original
My bad
From 2002-2019/2020 new shit about safety, economy, emissions, and whole bunch of regulations have come up
A80
Further developed a 25 year old engine? @vital glen is correct about emissions, regulations, etc
I get that Toyota has the blue prints.
But my understanding of Aston Martin, Jaguar, and whoever else is that they literally have old VINs they never got around to producing thanks to strikes or shortages or whatever. And I'm assuming this is why they can offer original never sold [insert year of car they're selling here] whatevers. Also probably avoiding emissions and other regulations.
They're assembling New Old Stock (NOS) and selling it as new... which it technically is.
I honestly don't think Toyota has random bodies in white lying around like the British did. That would be the most unToyota thing Toyota could do... was not build something they planned to build.
That or there is some weird legal bs afoot.

Question is.
Is that "new" Aston Martin DBwhatever actually reliable, or does it overheat in the factory like the old ones did?
Bottom line is that people need to give up on a new 2jz, and embrace the return of the Supra. I have a feeling that once the aftermarket community finishes getting a 1000hp people will be more accepting of the new car.
Tuners are apparently receptive to the new engine.
It got the construction to take more power.
The reviews I've seen are very positive
I wouldn't mind getting one, in a year or so after the "I gotta have the first batch!" craziness dies down
But then again, I just got my car last year, so I'm good to go
Happily there is no mad rush for Corollas.
Then again there's not much of a rush for anything manual it seems.
I wonder how many years till the Miata is mostly automatic.
Is that "new" Aston Martin DBwhatever actually reliable, or does it overheat in the factory like the old ones did?
New Astons are AMG powered, so should be fine there π
Manuals are nearly dead, unfortunately

Rip
"Hello Darkness My Old Friend"
I'm not talking about the actually new ones.
It's not entirely clear if these are restorations, reproductions, or if they'll ever be street legal.
Ah... here we go... apparently the DB4 GT is track only.

Just got overtaken on zhe autobahn by a GT2 RS
Last time I was driving on the Autobahn... Damn, it's been 25 years already!? Anyway, I was driving one of those military 'Lemon Lot Specials', an early 80's 944 and was nearly blown off the road by a Ferrari F40
Like I was standing still
@stoic ledge NO TEXTING AND DRIVING
I'll chase you and tell you it personally to your face if you do it again
I was waiting for somebody at a train station, that's when I send my message (:
No texting and driving ofc
Imaginary friends don't count.

Volvo π
Classic XC70
Old/older Volvos... just....I love them.
isnt there like a Chrome trim piece that makes it 100 times more pleasureable to look at from the side? π€
I think its just the body lines imo
nono! I saw it twice here in Germany! it looks more aggressive and has the XC whatever on it in Chrome!
Hmm
I guess americans just get dumbed down versions of euros
Weβre not sophisticated enough
Copy paste. i would love to have some American styled cars over here.
My cars kindof a junker right now. AC doesent work, my passenger CV is toast, driveshaft is missing
Driveshaft replacement is like 500-700 to get done
Leaks oil and coolant
Driveshaft sounds fairly important. I'd definitely look into getting it replaced.
yall have any thoughts with the new acura ILX
it got a new 8 speed transmission
i think it looks pretty average
It's basically a Honda
I think it's quite nice looking
But Acura/larger Honda's aren't sold here so we're not used to the design language, that's (for me) it doesn't look average
Interior still looks old tho
Iirc is the top screen not a touch screen and controller by a know under the lower, touch screen... And the top screen dusplays Android Auto etc... It's just strange
@desert glen oof, yknow u could wreck the rest of the transmission right, including the diff/gearbox if u keep driving it like that
The carβs already fcked, I could really care less
lol fair enough
I would love to have AWD, but itβd be more than the car is worth to get the ds put in and the diff fixed
Actually saw the new ILX. Biggest issue is the interior.
Exterior... actually looks good. That and the RDX are cohesive.
Interior on the ILX though... last gen civic with last gen entertainment system. Acura has managed to sit through Honda's removal and reintroduction of a volume knob.
If you wanted to know what happens if you drive too fast in a school zone here (Sweden).
People do that. And all the school zones here are 30 kmh. So going 51 kmh (32 mph) means that you can lose your license.
There are bunch of people who speed past the daycare just outside of our street.
The G-Wagen isnβt a car, itβs a German institution. But how does Mercβs military hero fare having had a complete overhaul and the introduction of 577bhp? Tim...
Yeah school zones here in Sweden are horrendous (Especially in the cities because they are everywhere and are some times hard to spot)
Such fervent devotion, even after 25 years of waiting, is something we celebrate together. Now our time has come. Everything begins with a dream, and what ha...
RS6 is back
I remember my parents owning the original rs6 us
But I'm still happy with my 450 thousand mile Hyundai Tucson 2005 lol
Man you guys are going to love the RS6

I hope they fixed the aerodynamics a bit though
Previous gen made weird noises at high speed
So let's hope that is gone

Yeet
My parents own the 2003 one a long time ago I was sad they had to sell it even tho it never had issues :/
That was 15 years ago oh well
Why're there so many Swedes here?
People wondering the same why there are so many Dutchies here π
There aren't that many Dutchies here
You, me, JD, Stephanie, and I'm sure there was somebody else too
Schoolzones are 30km/h here too btw ^^ π
That's more people than i know lol
Also, Netherlands is way better than Sweden @wheat hatch
Don't believe me? I had 2 Swedes say they like The NL more than Sweden :P

Lmao
I just saw a Lamborghini pass in my street. We're a pretty shitty neighbourhood, with high crimerates. And a Lamborghini drove down here.
That could be massively true.

@stoic ledgem hmmmmm
is the tellulride in any other market?
@magic arrow built specifically for the us market
ah
I wish it was
The Telluride and Palisade are awesome cars
Lol β¬28k for a base Telluride.. π³π± be like "here, have a base VW Golf"
Litteraly, the cheapest Golf is β¬28.775
(new that is)
Ofcourse, comparing new vs new π
bit expensive for a hatchback dont you think?
Ofcourse
All cars are expensive in netherlands

If we could get the Telluride for the same price bas the US, litteraly everybody would be driving one xD
We like to spend money

@magic arrow great video of the Telluride
Imho the most car anybody could ever need
$46,860
Needs a bigger engine tho
thanks!
@stoic ledge it says awd, but has locking center diff
Hmmmmmm

My proposal to the politically correct Automobile Companies would lower the average price of a car to consumers by more than $3000, while at the same time making the cars substantially safer. Engines would run smoother. Very little impact on the environment! Foolish execut...

Waitwhat?
That tweet posted above by MK.
oh, okay. I've found context for that tweet.
The unusual standoff landed Ford and GM in front of Trump's bully pulpit again last week as he said that refusal to go along with his plan would reduce safety and raise costs, which Ford disputed.
tl;dr: Automakers aren't interested in playing the white house regulation game, and are supporting preexisting pre-Trump standards and regulations for the future.
It probably totally 100% has nothing to do with anything about development cycles being locked into defined frameworks set up years prior. /s
Politics aside. I imagine a global emissions standard along with crash standards would greatly reduce development costs for automakers. Especially for multiple markets.
Trump's being weird. It feels like he think he knows everything about everything. But actually he doesn't lnow how to open a door
It's super easy to just scream at automakers, but I'm beginning to think they're more like Intel in terms of product development than not.
Meaning they're thinking 5-6 generations forward and are actively developing a generation ahead if not more.
I wouldn't say too much on the future.
Unless that focus makes you lose sight on your competition.
ahem... intel
Yuuup
Mind you Ford's lack of drive for AI and electric cars hasn't hurt em, and GM's forward looking on AI and electric hasn't helped em.
I would think. If the USA went to EU type of cars. With slight difference (better fueltank) it would greatly improve the future generations. Right?
Don't count on it.
The tech Euro cars use is identical to what the US has.
Size and scale of the stuff being used is different, but the tech is identical.
Turbo, direct injection, various weird weight savings that are dubious.
But I don't see Europe moving forward to embrace new materials or construction methods to actually advance cars.
But a 3.6LV6 being baseline in the US
And a 1.4L i4 being baseline in the EU
Like that's what i meant
I'd say the problem there is, "Will Americans accept smaller cars if they're put on the market."
Cause the baseline in the US is vastly bigger than in Europe.
Big o' fuel slurping engine with all teh powaaa VS a fuel sipping engine with meh power.
I imagine most American cars could downsize dramatically without losing out on usability.
I think I understand what you're getting at.
dunno tbh
One argument is that a smaller engine running balls out nonstop will use more gas than a bigger engine running more relaxed.
screw it.

Gonna go for a drive.
that was fun
@dense shard join chat
It's pretty warm today. So imma chill in my car and do nothing xD

I took the car out this morning, wasn't a pleasure driving tho
Many cyclist, main road closed, narrow detour, small streets, much traffic.. xD
Sounds like going on a rampage and hitting every single cyclist was a thing that was close to happening

Nice!
Ok I have a problem with our radio
We have a CitroΓ«n c3 it cant find any channels we replaced the radio to a cheap 40$ one i think the problem is the antenna but how can a antenna broke
Well its my dads car
But any ideas whats wrong
Now we play radio through the phone but it would be nice if i got it to work
I can find like 2 channels
~~ It's a Citroen ~~
Maybe a kink in the wire? It's strange, yes
Did you plug in the antenna?
When i got my car the antenna wasn't properly plugged in.
^this
either it's not plugged it, of the adapter is shiet, or the radio receiver is shiet
The radio unit can be a defective one too
Also, might want to check whether youre on FM or AM.
its on fm i have the raido connected yeah its cheap but not defective it was brand new
it was same problem with the rginal radio it did not find that much channels i thing the anttena is broken somehow
oh yeah, that's an antenna problem, maybe it's frayed and the coax is shorting to ground?
Or maybe the coax isn't properly inserted or whatever in the plug?
CVT for the win?
Yes
Yes
Yes

ngl Minis are pretty sweet
and I'd whip one around as a toy car
but idk if I'd want one as my main
It's too small for me to fit properly (yes, I've tried), and it's just expensive af
How tall are you lol
tbh if i had to choose a small daily car I'd def go for a Civic sport hatchback prolly
Design is a bit too much for me π
Yah
but I personally quite like it π
ok

Damn
there ya go

6'4" makes sense why mini is a bit tight for ya
Is an absolute unit
^
ngl looks clean in blue as well
but I kinda like that flat color paint on the gray style cars have been going for recently
seen it on some of the civics n tundras
My Corsa isn't really that much bigger on the outside, but it's much more spacious in the inside
New Civic is rare here π
I don't really mind the look of it, but I also don't love it
By the way, if anyone got like a boat load of money
Go grab this Chiron before someone else does
https://www.blocket.se/vastmanland/Bugatti_Chiron_Sport___Omgaende_leverans_86881274.htm?ca=22&w=3&last=1

The trade-in value for my Corsa was to low, so I cancelled my order

so y'all may or may not remember me talking about a popping/clunking noise in my car a few weeks ago here
Yeah, your car went Rogue
^
it's in the shop rn and the people wanted to quote entire new front struts and back suspension setup, as well as both CV joints
just shy of $2k quoted.
that's a fuck_no.png for a car that was $4500

I'm gonna tell em "yo just replace my CV joints cause I know those are fucked and then if there's still an issue I'll worry later kthx"
bc they acting like I have money to blow. wild.
I know the car ain't perfect, and it isn't going to be. it's a 7 year old car with just under 150k on the clock.
Don't you have a money tree in your backyard? You should get one, it's nice

i think the CV joint(s) replacement will fix the popping noise so
hopefully thats a couple hundred bucks for that and the blinker fix they did, as well as an oil change n alignment
Blinker fluids are important
nah, apparently the rogue has a weird setup on the blinker system

Most people forget it, but is vital to the operation of your vehicle
the double-speed blinking was just from dying bulbs. they still worked but were blinking dim-off instead of dim-bright

so thank goodness they did that and replaced em ez and it was fixed
Especially in a bimmer
so I'll have proper blinkers again, since I use mine like a real person
Fast blinking == broken bulb, that's normal
Bimmers tend to use an entire canister of blinker fluid in one blink
I agree, but normally fast blinking == broken bulb
mine was fast blinking for a... bulb that was still working
Lol nice
But are it those US amber always on Indicators?
i love and hate the driving here in baton rouge this summer
love that people actually act like they have somewhere to be and fucking GO
speeding in places is v normal
Rwa, what was your car now again?
but... people don't use their damn blinkers almost ever
Nissan Rogue
Ty ty
^

Blinking is difficult
It's like moving a stalk up and down
Yeah, just drive it until it breaks
Buy an
if it still works then, I'll give it to my brother who will be a junior or senior in high school for him to use
My grandfather did the mistake of repairing his car so many times, that the repair cost could've gotten him a new car b now
@stoic ledge give me that in american terms
yeah that's why I'm not paying the $2k this mans wants for repairs
I'm gonna fix what's needed and let the rest chill that's non-critical
Latest Opel's were sold as Buicks over there xD (Regal, Cascade, Encore etc)
iirc i have an oil leak too but I'll work on getting that fixed later
ah the buicks
the new ones seem actually sweet ngl
And yeah all new Buicks are nice because they are rebadged Opel's xD
Regal is nice too

ngl when I go car shopping in 2-3 years if buicks are still sweet I'll def check em out
I've always had a soft spot for hondas tho
just cause my grandma always had one n it was hella good
we had a '99 accord for YEARS with almost zero issues
my grandma's accord just... doesn't exist on the internet like anywhere
twas a 1999 Accord EX-L in Midnight Blue w/ the "Lapis Lazuli Blue" leather interior
still can't find a single picture of one on the internet
ye, but does that one have the blue leather interior
Tru
iirc hers had the rims too
it was a top-of-the-line model; fully loaded EX-L
had a sunroof, power windows, and a Cassette AND CD player
my grandma... doesn't drive anymore kek
but she had a 2016 Accord Sport as her last car
it had paddle shifters
Interior looks complicated for an elderly person
Lol ok xD
My grandpa got his first automatic car this year
He's 86
Actually the first time he ever drove an auto in his entire life
damn
found a few old pics of her car
ngl was a ton of fun to drive
loved the dash setup
Nice Car
indeed indeed
Never seen one irl
really? accords are everywhere here
Largest Honda car is the Civic here now
tbh one day i should record some random traffic around here so you can be like "wtf i have never seen like 90% of these irl"
