hey internet experts - help please 😛
My car is wearing unevenly on front tyres, which is obviously an alignment problem. However, when I'm driving at higher speed, the back end shakes/jumps around. Can feel the car moving a bit in back and can feel it in my seat. help?
I'm taking it in to get aligned tomorrow.
My rotors are warped (and I'm going to get around to saving up and replacing them soon^tm) but I can't imagine that's whats causing the shaking in the back end

Maybe the wheels are slightly unbalanced. When at slowspeeds you can't feel it, but at high speeds you can

My tires were balanced recently, since the front ones were all kinds of out of whack and the steering wheel was shaking at 65+
Now the steering wheel is smooth (as much as is normal, of course), and the shaking in the back developed a bit after I got it balanced. Like a month or two.

I know for sure it needs aligned, the front wheels are mostly bald on the inside half and the outside half is not really worn at all 😂

Tbh, i dont know. I never heard of a rear end twerking at high speeds
If they're bald on the inside only the camber isn't completely straight, or the roads you drive on are extremely bumpy (if you have independent front wheel suspension)

Maybe the drivetrain or whatever is slightly "loose" and can wiggle around when at high speeds

Maybe it's also because its in the back - where it can't transfer the vibration/shaking into the steeringwheel, so it transfers it into the car

OEM rotors are usually good enough for most people.
But if you live in a very hilly area, and drive an automatic. Then you might need bigger/vented ones.

and shift to 2
(never use 1st manually, it caps out at 30 which is super low lol)
2nd technically caps out at 61, but that's maximum.
3rd doesn't say how high it goes

Engine brake shuts off both the fuel and exhaust, allowing the gasses not the exit the engine creating backwards pressure
The other word (not gonna say it because it will get censored) is usually in the drivetrain/transmission. Better to just look it op on wikipedia instead of getting too indepth

Got my RX aligned, they could only do the front since the back end adjustmenst were seized or something, but the back was fine anyways. Front end was out of whack, so its fixed now.

I don't mind the new Supra, I just wish they had been creative with the interior (but the interior is also just BMW parts).
Otherwise I don't mind it, BMW engines are quite tuneable in the end of the day (and if someone really wants it to be a supra, they will probably just swap a 2JZ into it).

I would recommend starting off with a complete fluid change
coolant, oil, everything
might need to replace the fuel system too, gas is hard on stuff if it sits that long
checking the fuel pump is simple, just disconnect the fuel line and turn the key on
if fuel comes out it works

You can check blowby easily by opening the oil cap after doing a cold start
If the cap flies away when the engine is running, you most likely have a problem with piston rings or with the crank case ventilation

They had me driving a 2015 Ford F-250 Lariat with the Powerstroke Diesel while I was in Texas. It had actually every option you could get on that model year, plus a few upgrades we got aftermarket. Hated the steering, though. No feel in the wheel and the turning radius was such that you didn't steer the vehicle so much as set a course

@south sonnet tons of people have. There are probably complete swap kits and write ups of the swap easily accessible online. You might also try a Facebook group and ask around for some read ups. I’m sure more than one person on a BMW forum has done an LS swap
