The AI is pretty decent, one of the few games I've tried with working multiclass AI that doesn't just sit behind a slower car.
Graphics-wise, it's definitely serviceable. Sounds are great, imo.
Force feedback is interesting - you feel a lot of "detail" from flat spots, tyre deformation, but actual weight transfer less so... I like it enough, though.

I would say that... For a 1.0 release, it is missing a fair bit. No singleplayer career/championship mode, despite this being the official WEC game. No safety cars, no code 60s.

Just spent several very enjoyable hours with the new AC Evo update 👍 Spa and Red bull ring in the cayman and the new bimmer. Decent job, very decent. Negatives are there doesnt seem to be any track evolution over time, grass and ggravel way too forgiving and I couldnt see anything being thrown up by the tyres when clipping gravel on exit

Def buying the car pack, need to look up whats changed with the tracks since 2005

Road Atlanta - the kerbs are a bit less aggressive than the modern version, and it comes with a short layout that has the old pitlane.
Le Mans - Tertre Rouge and the Dunlop Chicane are the main differences, and the Porsche curves have a lot less runoff than the modern one.
Spa - Bus-stop chicane, armco barriers are closer, you get both F1 and Endurance pits.

I think the packs are both pretty good to be honest! The only car I've not enjoyed driving is the Porsche 996, I can't find a good brake balance for it; it's either departing the track backwards or locking up the fronts every corner

it feels really good, it looks really good, the stages are sooo nice and the diversity in the course and how different and rough it feels

idk what the call it, but like the resolution of the road? how small the differences in surface texture and shape can be in such a small area?

there's a lot of freedom too, you can just drive any car on any track at any time in any weather (currently only fog/dry/rain/storm) but you can set custom weather patterns or different day night cycle speeds, and you can just free drive on the stages

yeah it's just really great honestly, i'm super impressed so far

haven't had proper time to try with a wheel set up yet sadly but from what i did try it felt immaculate

I was willing to let him off the hook with the few AI generated paintings in MSC, cuz like, those are just unimportant house décor barely anyone notices, and I assumed they'd be replaced eventually. They weren't, so it's safe to say these won't be either.

But the music, that's part of MSC's identity. Hearing Teimo singing Marjatta, or dying and listening to Routainen maa again, not only are they super memorable, but their creators also became more popular internationally thanks to MSC, a cycle of indie artists helping indie artists.

Not every texture was great, not every song was something I'd put in my commute playlist, but they were all human, not mass-churned-out-from-stolen-data, ya know?

MSC's TV was clips of TG and his friends for crying out loud, and now he made it the equivalent of modern youtube (AI generated brain deletion)

Plus, the most ironic part is the guy and his game's community are the most staunchly anti-piracy game community I know. The guy hates piracy more than EA loves loot boxes. And yet he used the biggest piracy of all, AI.

People will get sick of AI stuff and then go back to human made art.

Spent a few hours with it , tried the mini at Oulton, the Cayman at Road Atlanta and the M3 at Monza, cars and tracks are good, the physics on this thing are fantastic, but they really need to do simething with the AI. Most boring predictable AI ever. They will not move a millimetre off their racing line for anything

Very much need more ovals, but they will come.

Some look down on oval racing cos its seen as easy. While its certainly easier than road racing there are subtleties to it. Tyre management, the draft and corner exit are the keys You want to be coming out of the corner as straight as possible

Plus its a blast and you dont need to remember which way it goes 😆

Holy 💩 these things are a handfull on a road course! Give it a try if you want an evil challenge

AMS2's 2025 Nurburgring is pretty good
I've got a mix of GT3 Gen2, GT4, Porsche Carrera Cup and Mini JCW Cup to simulate an NLS/N24 race, and it's working really well
the GT3s feel so much better than they used to in AMS2 as well
