AMS 2s Endurance packs are quite good, though if you want a more complete WEC experience, LMU would be the way to go. Mind, that it's still in EA and that can lead to all sorts of issues. But thruth be told, I haven't had such a good multiplayer experience in any other racing sim than I had in LMU.
The driving also feels well with really good FFB, car behaviour and you have the proper selection of cars and tracks for the 2023 season. 2024 is supposed to come out later after EA. At least if the studio doesn't fold. 😅

AMS 2s line up is incomplete in that regard and their Hypercars are also not as well implemented as in LMU. AMS 2 still rocks, though. I love both sims. 😅

It's fantastic how AMS2 just keeps on growing. I'm not really an Audi fan (PORSCHE BABY!) but I love to see more variety. Even better that the devs will add some cars for free, I'm especially happy about the DTM Quattro. Can't wait to race it on the old Hockenheimring circuit.

LMU is also about to get new content. I raced a bit online this week and the races are just so good. Driving feels fantastic and I'm really happy to see improvements and new content.

A couple weeks ago I rented a Cayman for a long weekend and ever since, there's no going back. It's Porsche or bust. Besides, Audi is Bavarian these days, can't root for them. 😅

I'd highly recommend at least giving LMU a try. It's far from it's rough launch state and the driving really feels good, much better than ACC IMO. Cars are also really well simulated, especially the Hypercars are great. It's still EA and the player population has decreased significantly, unfortunately, but hopefully new content and features and fixes will remedy that. LMU really deserves some love.

I rented a Cayman for a weekend recently and what I liked so much was how analogue everything was. Lots of buttons, dials and switches. The EV will likely go the way of touchscreens like so many modern cars which is a shame.

It´s not going the iRacing way, from what I understood. According to the devs they´ll start a subscription model for e-sport related services like ranking, stewarding and hosting larger championship events.

Private server hosting will be implemented in the future and weekly/daily events will also stay. So after-work- and weekend-racers like myself will have enough content without having to pay for a subscription.

That's one of the great things about AC, you can use it to cruise, you can use it to race, you can take it as seriously or as lightly as you want

Not excited per se but happy the game gets new content. I recently did some shorter Junior WRC and WRC 2 championships and they're hella fun. The new cars and stages will be a welcome addition. 😄

Understandable, rallying is a niche within a niche. It´s the same for me with LMU, I really, really want them to succeed as endurance racing is so, so cool.

I might get the new DLC but don´t like the idea of buying the cat in the sack with the season pass, especially since those mini-add-ons don´t sound so interesting. Slower cars are an absolute blast, I really enjoy those from the 2000s, as well. RBR, well, I have enough racing sims I suck at, don´t need another one right now. 😄

• Spend less time hyping the game up and making a bunch of promises about what might come later in early access, and more time actually making solid foundations to begin with

There's definitely a way to do early access right

But it's also understandable that people are frustrated with how often it seems to go wrong recently

KSP2 and Cities Skylines 2 being some of the more egregious examples, the new Test Drive game was pretty poor too from what I heard

Lately I´ve grown very tired of driving race cars. That´s one reason I haven´t touched AMS2 and LMU in a while. Hence I´m very curious to see how well ACE will simulate road cars. With a really good simulation model it might be just the perfect thing to help scratch that road car itch. I just want to yeet hot hatches around racetracks, so hopefully the EA will be good.
