I cut them from it yeah, there were texture issues that were beyond my knowledge in terms of fixing, and also people were reporting that it wasn't working right, AND I couldnt get the prop trains to actually display those liveries either

tldr too much of a headache and I mostly rock with fictional stuff now anyway so

I did at one point have a mod that made those liveries optional, as like an addon thing but for the same reasons I delisted that from the workshop and havent touched it in months. Maybe one day Ill get back to it, but right now theres other things I wanna fix with the main mod

if I knew how alpha channels worked (would love someone to help me with this btw) I could swap out some of those wack ass grey/blue/green wellcars for proper red/yellow counterparts as well as give some of the rollingstock updated liveries

Ah that's fair enough I wouldn't have a clue where to start with modding ATS/ETS to be fair but the rest of the mod works no issues... Well it does now that I put it in the right load order 😂 forgot to move it when I put all my mods back in to test a bug lol. To be fair the fictional liveries do look good, shame SCS haven't added different variants for different states similar to the emergency vehicles.

a lot of the time I dont have a clue either lmao. This train mod is built upon hours and hours of me studying the game files to get an idea of how the game does things, and yet there are still certain things I dont know lol

modding in general is something that, while self taught as mentioned, is something I cant really do much of outside of simple mods like this and the skins I make

I could list out all my gripes with that mod but the main thing to me is it just feels like its purely a "look guys we have real logos ingame" instead of actually trying to realistically implement that stuff

like the AI trucks especially are just so god awful

the train containers are a perfect example of the laziness in that mod

like its clear they were just like "ok so bushnell is ADM now" and anything with bushnell branding suddenly becomes ADM branded regardless of what it is

like why would Georgia Pacific, ADM or Cargill have domestic 53ft containers? That kinda shit is just so immersion ruining for me

honestly I think that mod is what really turned me off from using real brands ingame (although jazzycats real truck pack also played a role) and made me work with/appreciate the stuff SCS designs way more:
