#Flight Sims (MSFS, P3D, X-Plane, DCS, FS98...)
1 messages · Page 55 of 1
Have fun guys
Thanks
I'll fly my 747's and A330's cuz I can't afford shit 😭
Eventually in like 7 years
And it's installed
WE balling tn
Time to install liveries
Is it only out on the marketplace or is it also out on Ini's site
MS store only
I think the 500 might have
Was it always gonna be Markeplace only? Wasn't following too much lol
Marketplace only for a few months, then available on the iniStore also
You'll be able to transfer ownership from the Marketplace to the iniStore once it'll get released there
Gotcha, I'll pick it up then
i cant click the perf data button
Oh btw
Well now that it's out I can talk about it freely 😄
only perf mgt
Already one thing to pick with you
Actually no, not yet
Gonna confirm it in-sim first
You can cycle through all the patches with BCK and FWD anyway IIRC
If it's anything 3d model related I don't care 😆
Yeah, tbf it's not difficult. Ini allows you to transfer anything you buy on the marketplace, you just need to show a screenshot of you owning whatever you want to transfer and provide the transaction number
Livery-related
Well, it's BA, I'm sure you checked BA Negus
$50 later I have a TriStar
holy smokes
Dirt
i dont know if thats airworthy anymore
also jfc i gotta install it and nott stream it
Honestly, don't think it'd get that dirty even after a few years in Victorville lol
the textures go blurry quite frequently
I think the A/P in many ways is disappointing, especially all the vertical modes, it's definitely OK and usable, but I'd like it to be more "reactive", feels like a step down from even the Wilson.
I really do appreciate that they didn't make the A/P exceptionally good, like JF did, but at the same time it's not as bad as the FJS. I think the overall struck a decent balance.
I think the A/P vertical modes is something they'll look at.
CWS is awkward, I don't particularly like the trim management it does, so sometimes you have to pull a lot, and you lose your ability to trim.
Yaw Damper is also not aggressive enough.
The F/D I often disagree with
The cabin pressurisation system feels very basic?
But the flight model I absolutely love
I really really enjoy hand flying it
The sounds are very good
The model looks good
The INS is missing some features I'd consider important, but it's good enough for A-B use
Tbf I have a friend who said he didn't really like how it sounded in previews
I don't really care, sounds to me aren't super important, as long as it sounds similar enough it's fine for me
What is missing?
Remote waypoint loading, Track Hold and Manual Mode
whats all of those?
Hmm, interesting
Not even manual mode
I'm pretty sure even FSS included it
Oh
Well that's fun
The liveries no work
Remote waypoint loading
You load up the waypoints in unit n.1 and they get automatically "transferred" to unit 2 and 3
Track Hold
It holds current track (not heading)
Manual Mode
Doesn't automatically sequence waypoints, so you get to the next waypoint and it will continue on the same track indefinitely
Correct
You'll have to just use unit 1
Hey wth, it doesn't see any liveries lol
I hope they improve on that
I believe this is something they're looking to add, same with improving the A/P
Welp
Idk where iniManager installed the liveries
But it sure as hell didn't install them into FS24 lol
Ah well, clearly it didn't install into FS24 because for some reason the path I have in it for FS24 leads to an entirely different drive lol
Mine installed correctly by the looks of it
Idk why it changed the install path randomly
When I got the A340 and installed livery for it, it was fine
I want the TriStar :(
Something tells me I'm gonna end up crashing and burning with TriStar alot 😄
at least until I learn it properly
Ah piss looks like I'll be downloading it too
Don't you dare disrespect the 1011 like that
I've been used to flying Airbus' for the longest time, and haven't flown a proper old jet since the 146
If you want any help you can ping me and I'd be happy to be as helpful as I possibly can 😅
I really want this plane to do well to show that old jets make sense economically
and I just love the plane

Exactly what this sim needs to hear tbh
(and to think I've only flown properly in FS24 for a single day, which was yesterday)
Well off to a great start, sim loads up and freezes 🙃
Say publicly that there's oil in Romania
You'll get alterations to your economy quite quickly
I only moved over this week
The only upcoming things that will work in 2020 I can think of are the 757 and the JF stuff
the limiting factor for me to upgrade to 2024 is purely cost
isnt 2024 still online only too?
did they add an option for downloading stuff yet?
Nah people he knows
They did
Last summer iirc
It's beautiful
But yeah I'm gonna have to download it fully before I fly it, cockpit's blurry when I have it streamed 😅
Guys can I get an fs2024 key
Guys I'm getting it this year trust me
Like fs2020
I got it 2 years after it came out

Don't be too harsh on yourself tbf
I have more copium rn than NoOne had this whole week
If you guys are gonna make me die inside that I can't afford anything at least post screenshots
So
Where do we think Pan Am would've based these
I'm pretty sure they had some on the West Coast
SFO?
I really hope someone makes a good Palmdale
Are there any scenery devs who take suggestions 😭
Think I'm gonna make a friend
Who is that friend
Right, so about $150 spent today on the TriStar and extras, what a day
A person who's flying the same plane as me on the same route as me
Bro I don't even have that much in my wallet
@reef isle u got a proper manual for the tristar
$100 worth of extras
Wow
not quite
Yeaaah railroad money does that to me 💀
For some reason remembered this one right away lol
But yeah ini Dallas and I kinda made a deal with a someone that I'd pick up BATC at some point so I have to keep to that promise
what'd u use to learn it (esp FE station)
I am tired of A330's bro
https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/c50d4589-7764-4b0f-8873-a87472fc3804
this is the best I have
And I have no clue how to fly Soviet airliners
I need to do more Long Hauls tbf
leave the PC on when I go to work for 12 hours and come back and land the thing
Jeez I really need to calibrate the sidestick
i got this as well
The yoke barely moves
Well you won't quite be making a meal for 12 hours
That's good for like
An hour
Meanwhile our sarmale lasting like 6 hours in the oven
Or more like 4
Well yeah some dishes do that
But at that point you need to find something else to do while you cook
What if I
There's a lot of things I could do, like read through the stack of books off to my right
Idk start floating
Reading is for nerds
Unless the books are aircraft manuals or WTTs, then it's cool
Nah, manga and Ln's 🙃
Ah, well fair
Granted my WTT's being read on a plane would be hilarious
Never was into those things, but I know plenty of people like that
for anyone who cares about the proper ICAO code for a INS only L1011 - SDFHIRWXY
I think the ICAO code for any 1011 is L101
equipment code
That would actually be useful for vatsim
Now only if I had that damn plane...
i doubt many people care but i use SI and it uses the equipment code as a reference on what atc can do
Oh that's actually neat
I think BATC doesn't really care
Oh this is actually a cool coincidence
My flight number will be 9101D
I have kind of a system
Any delivery/repositioning/retirement flights I do, since usually aren't real callsigns, I just number them 9xxx, and then a letter to designate what it is (D - delivery, F - ferry, R - retirement)
And coincidentally I'm on 101th such flight
does it auto load the loadsheet when importing
The performance definitely ain't the best
are you sure it's not just SDFI?
that's what I always used 😅
SDF for just conventional nav and SDFI for conventional nav + INS
R because rnavs possible with INS, isnt it? W for RVSM, Y for EU, X for NAT certs right?
neat
RVSM I think is useless for VATSIM because it's assumed all planes are RVSM capable. No idea about Y and X to be completely honest.
About "R", I'm not 100% sure about that, you can do basic RNAV, but not in the modern sense
Yeah that's not right
same
@rustic charm u can do long hauls with the l1011
it'll auto put them in if u did load from OFP
even after 9 is reached
That's neat
Bit fast
Didn't quite intend for that to happen
But hey, enough fuel, so why not
What's wrong
But what didn't work
MSFS is a fucker
Wher my VOR
Soon as I called it a fucker, the VOR appeared lol
I think we found a solution
And people say swearing at things doesn't work
Every time I swear at things I get more and more reassured that it totally works (and I swear a lot tbf, so I get constantly reassured lol)
Gotta say, the thing doesn't follow VORs too precisely, but I imagine that would actually be quite realistic
If your nav just completely stopped updating and the plane started drifting, I'd say genuine WASM
That's the same thing I've had in the 340
I mean, it's not a screen XD
Plus tbf
I've not actually had orange screens of WASM in the 340
Hey just hit m0.861, cool
Topped at 424kts across the ground shortly after climb thanks to good winds
We'll say this was a training flight and remove this off the record
The first goaround was me trying to do a normal one (I was too high)
Second one was autothrottle not disengaging, so the plane went accelerating after touchdown, and I just decided to return to the runway as quickly as possible lol
Had to fly the approaches with AT cause I only have the sidestick with me right now, not the throttles
Overall, I quite like it
Few bumps to iron out of course
But it's fine
how do you do your climb/descend? VNAV with TM or AT with IAS and VS?
Vspeed with AT
everyone seems to be kinda split on what to use and whats better
My reasoning for VS + AT is really simple
Probably the simplest reasoning you'll hear in this situation
aww man
I use it on all planes
Almost never
bruh
Only when the departure is unfamiliar to me yet requires a lot of altitude constraints
So for departures it's rare, but occasionally happens
For arrivals never
Like
Never - never
Only back when I just started flight simming
But now nope
Definitely pretty
So the most I've done so far was calibrate my throttles, then back out to wait for everything else to dowload
I just don't trust VNAV enough lol
so INS1 may not be the INS used for navigation
they used all 3 depending on which was the most accurate
INS3 however cannot be coupled for autopilot operations
INS3 should be used to cross check and do wind/temp stuff, esentially XTKL/TKE, POS, WYPT,DIS/TIME
crazy that they started VOR-VOR on international flights and transitioned to INS when they left the USA
yup thats bright
Needless to say I picked the wrong day to try and learn this 😂
How is the A/P and A/T experience on the TriStar
I've always had a very "light" use of both, but watching a stream it seemed like it's very easy to have the A/P mess stuff up, especially when coupled with the A/T
This is a slightly different variant from the one ini modelled
yah, weird, i didnt know there was another form of that ins
i only know the CIVA one
It's true
That's what I meant when I said "if it's more expensive than 60€ you start to have different expectations"
I think out of all the issues the flow bars Illuminating when they shouldn't is probably the worse ones
The ATM behaviour is wrong at the moment as well
Tbf, it wasn't too bad for me
The AT was being bit weird on approach
It for some reason didn't actually let me select the speed
It automatically chose some values to follow
Vspeed kinda misbehaved once too, on climbout it didn't actually listen to what I was setting, it just kept the same vspeed as when I engaged the mode. Had to turn it off and back on
Doesn't really follow VORs perfectly, it starts drifting away from the radial you chose, but I wouldn't be too surprised if that's how it used to be in reality. Not critical anyway
I would probably have more to say but I didn't use any other autopilot modes lol
VNAV/LNAV are usually the ones having the biggest issues
I've seen a few of my friends getting confused
so, this is the correct way to load up waypoints in the INS
the errors are small, so it's not important, but I thought it was worth discussing
The Litton expects degrees minutes and seconds, not decimal minutes
take a look at this for example
you would enter this coordinates as
N 47 / 25 / 5 | W 121 / 43 / 2
Remember to always treat the seconds as a 2 digits group
so for example here 46.4 gets rounded to 50 (becomes 5), 16.4 gets rounded to 20 (becomes 2)
when you get coordinates like this, remember to treat the seconds as a group of 2 numbers, so 3.5 gets rounded to 0, because it's closer to 0 than it is to 10
in theory the seconds number should never be higher than 5 (because 6 is equal to the next degree)
it's not a big issue, if you enter a number that's 6 or above it will deal with it fine, but just FYI 🙂
here's another "tricky" example, here in theory you should round up the minute, so you'd enter the longitude of this fix as
W 121 / 38 / 0
So instead of N47 25 46 4 I‘d do N47 25 5, right?
Does this also apply to aligning the INS? Or just waypoints?
both
What is a 321plus
what's going on?
I've mostly been here and other small communities I'm part of
not the ini server itself?
Unfortunately I've seen some terrible aircraft behavior that I've never experienced before, and I've been very saddened by the whole thing if I'm honest
There were a couple of points that I know weren't really up to scratch and would have caused some friction (and rightfully so), but I've seen and heard of things this plane does that I've never ever encountered once
and I've flown nothing but this plane (with 3 exceptions) in the last 2 or 3 months
For example the A/P is not very good (especially the vertical modes), and INS is missing features, and the whole cabin pressurization system is not great
those were my 3 main concearns
Reddit mainly
I dont think its a bad plane, it just needs ironing out
Just like any plane ini releases
I'm very sorry if I recommended it and thought I've been unfairly positive towards it
I think it‘s a good plane
It works well, looks and sounds good
People went in with too much expectation
The price is fine for what you get and I dont doubt ini will stop updating it
I am going to smite you down
It‘s gonna take time and that‘s find
Try
I think it would have been better if ini left it in the oven for 2 or 3 more weeks, but based on my experience 1.0.0 was "ok"
that's why I was so positive about it
I'm very sorry about that
I believe I had a wasm yesterday ALTHOUGH I cant confirm/deny it
As I fucked the INS up im pretty sure
Dont feel sorry, we all know how the flughtsim community is now
Bunch of wannabe captains who think they‘ll know everything and every plane
I feel very angy cuz you guys have l1011 and I don't
Bro thinks he's the main character
Thank you for beta testing FD.
Cheers,
LewdNekos
Nurse Anesthesist/ ICU Nurse Specialist and Flight Simmer
Pmdg forum ahh
Someone actually commented that
Thanks for thanking FD.
Cheers,
NoOne
Kinda literally no one
But based on yesterday's flight
I'd say it's good
Let's be honest
All ini planes get released with some mishaps
Everyone complained about the A300
Everyone complained about the A340
It's gonna get better
They're all good planes
And the 1011 is good too
The model is great
The cockpit looks very nice
I have not noticed any critical issues
And that's what matters imo
Stuff like AP behaviour can be ironed out
But even if it's bit rough around the edges in some aspects, we can fly it and enjoy it
Thanks for making me feel better
People often expect too much tbh
I don't think I've ever seen a 1.0.0 release be perfect
You always have an occasional bug, miss a couple features, etc
Honestly I'm way too involved with TSW to even really still care about such outbursts lol
There's always an angry 1% that is so vocal you think it's worth 99%
Meanwhile the rest, the actual 99% quietly enjoy the thing, and that's what is important
Like let's be honest
We're here, and we're not "casual" flight simmers. Most of us here really ask a fair standard from devs. And even as of 1.0.0, the Tristar meets it. So how "bad" could it possibly be?
I like FD he's a cool guy
the 'study level' posts do get tiring, especially in the current flight sim market. Ok sure the 0.1% are upset that a single circuit breaker is not acting according to actual or something like that, but you ask most flight sim people and they run with failures off and run the same checklist/flow every flight they barely interact with most of the system depth. And those that do are not long term users (ie likely to ditch the simulation after type rating acquired)
For the majority ini aircraft are perfectly useable fine (outside of the wasms that still annoys me), and their texture/modelling work is their strong suit as well.
Bro I'm fine with default msfs aircraft that should tell you everything
Except for the asobo neo
That
That is horrid
There are some aircraft that are long gone yeah but if you were to quiz people on system depth and failures on even say the fenix, which is the most used aircraft, most probably won't be able to give actual answers. Especially the failures part adds up a lot of dev time so it doesn't surprise me ini choose not to go too hard on it
then people are pikachu shocked face when a 50 usd aircraft isn't a 1 to 1 recreation doing everything that the real one did
then you'd get the more casual audience annoyed at the fact its more expensive then youre pleasing the 1%
its nice that there is aircraft like the fenix or I think A2A are doing lots of impressive system modelling but idk when you buy an ini aircraft you should know what youre getting with it?
my 2 cents anyway teehee
but I guess its a bit universal to a lot of industries, happens in TSW with the TSG content
Never forgrt
Happy people dont speak up
Unsatisfied people always speak up
👍
in 1011 PSA (not the airline lol)
Try to avoid doing 2 INS alignments, so far I've seen 3 cases of 3 people that for different reasons aligned the INS twice and that ended up freezing it
@trim harbor I think it was you that had this problem
If you want to do multiple legs you should just be able to do a position update once you're stopped on your stand.
Select POS, WPT0, and enter your coordinates
(btw, you can do that at any point, also while flying or taxing, no need to do the "proper" procedure by using the HOLD button), although that will be more precise
“Study Level” doesn’t always mean max interaction either, look at the FF777 it’s got its own procedure mode, engine thrust variations depending on engines used, nice looking FD, and very good system depth
But very few CB’s
People are idiots
And I think that’s pretty clear cut
like
only one ins instead of both or what
Going through the alignment process twice
On one unit
still annoying that therees no remote
ins thing
i cant get the negines started now
bruh
guess thats flight two that doesnt work
thats annoying
ohwell guess ill try n3 tomorrow
APU ON
Air Bleed S/O OPEN
Lines going to the PACKS closed
sending air only to engine 2?
I guess I came here too late
yuh
i could press the ignition buttons
but they didnt work
pressed em in and they came right out

so start seq is 2-3-1?
I started it 3-1-2 as I'm used to on my first flight
auto FE doesnt do the APU S/O
that was the issue
chicago boominm
@reef isle how do i get rid of the TO config sound
Pitch trim?
yea it was that
after looking around everywhere
lord
this planes so much more complicated than the old 747-200
now im stuck in aoa mode
come on
i didnt do the other digital ins
so i couldnt use epr properly which caused a IDLE
defo has some weird AP behaivors, descending with VS and ATHR it likes to pitch up and go positive 2000fpm for a good 10 secs
planes a real hit or miss for me - descended and was vectored in, instead of staying on the heading it wanted to fly another loop?
now the ils is captured but im somehow not flying on the ILS lol
El Al
Does GSX have the ability to show vehicles taxi alongside the plane?
Cause I've heard their flights get special escorts cause they've been targeted a lot
prob not
i dont use gsx
Jason Williams quit Combat Pilot. No idea why, not very sure what he actually did though hes been involved in lots of flight sims
I died
What did u do
I think this message has a lot of potential to become a meme lol
738 without winglets looks so cursed
it's a -900 but sure bro
PMDG would never
Which is a fucking shame cause multiple Russian operators back in the day had non-wingleted ones
700's look a bit better I find, PMDG pls
Even worse then
Tristar T/O technique and A/T usage
"TM" mode will not set take off thrust for you
and also you can consider "AoA" mode as the most basic A/T mode available, it will basically only make sure you don't stall, so that's what it will default to if you have no other vertical autopilot modes active
so, if you want to take off, and use A/T, I'd recommend to at least do the first thrust reduction yourself, and clean up the aircraft manually (V/S mode will be alright when you reduce flaps, but it might struggle a little bit), once you've got flaps and slat retracted, and you're "stable" you should have all the time in the world to set up your A/P and A/T system
TM wil only work when the little fms below the INS is set, right?
Correct
What it will do is basically just set the "optimum" EPR as calculated by the PMS
i have never flown to rome
Rome, the only place on earth where the Ryanair served airport is closer to the city than the main one 😛
😮
I have actually flown to Rome
Once in an Alitalia MD-11 (the second flight is the same plane, just out of Rome)
I have some other cities though where I've never flown to, while most other people have
Never done Chicago, not even Rockford
I haven't done dallas and I even won a scenery for that in a giveaway :p
I'd like to say I've not flown to Toronto either, but while technically I haven't, I did have a flight to Hamilton which people I reckon would consider close enough
No Phoenix, Houston or Austin
I need to actually fly in or to more of the world
i'm so western EU coded
but i'm also snobby and hate landing into default ports
No mainland Spain or Portugal at all
I have wider reach tbf
just load the damn plane man
Gotta do 02 approach into LPPT sometime
Obviously Sheremetyevo is a big hub
Love Sheremetyevo
Of course I'll be biased but imo one of the best airports in the world
I had an idea this year to follow the F1 calendar in flight sims
Basically, for every race, I gotta fly to the airport nearest to the track
Well, obviously only counting airports which actually see commercial flights
Charters are fun, I know some ppl who freq the flights for the USA football teams
but also when this comes
Well it wouldn't be charters for me
Just any commercial flight
But to the airport that's the closest
Cause firstly sometimes team charters are weird
Like Aston Martin flying out to the pre-season shakedown in an An-12
Secondly they often won't actually use the airport closest to the track
Like, I'm quite sure for Interlagos, the teams would fly into Guarulhos, as all normal people do
But the closest valid airport to the track is actually Congonhas
I mean, Congonhas still sees quite a bit of traffic
For south American standards it's not even that crazy
For most of the tracks it's boring tbh. Like, for Miami it's just MIA, etc
Oh yeah, ik
It's just a very fun airport
I mean, it could be worse
It could've been Santos Dumont
But I think on my first arrival into Congonhas I had 3 goarounds
For others though...
Spa for example
It's in such middle of nowhere that I'm pretty sure the closest valid airport for me would be Koln-Bonn lol
Actually no, probably Liege
Kinda wish Russian GP still existed
Cause the airport for that would've been Sochi
And I love that airport tbh
sochi wasnt a good track though
And also the payware scenery includes a great rendition of the track
Oh I know that lol
I wouldn't say it was horrible though
theres been worse without a doubt
Definitely not one of those that I would ask to be returned to F1 immediately (apart from personal bias of course, cause you know, Russian GP)
love that the neo shows the callsigns on the tcas
turkish gp 😭
But also, if it were still on the calendar, wouldn't be one of the tracks I'd say they should immediately remove
hell even germany again
In my opinion to have a great F1 calendar in 2026 while keeping the regional distribution close to what we have, we'd need:
- Miami replaced by... idk, Indy or something? Anything is better than Miami.
- Monaco replaced by one of the French tracks, not too sure which one would be better, but anything is better than Monaco anyway
- Madrid replaced by Algarve
- Azerbaijan replaced by Istanbul
- Singapore replaced by Sepang (please...)
- Las Vegas replaced by Hockenheim (yes, switching from US to Europe, but imo it's unfair for the US to have 3 GPs while Germany has 0)
I'm not sure if you noticed...
Every single track I decided to replace there is a (semi-) street track
And ngl
I didn't even plan for that
Just looked at the ones that are terrible imo
I so agree with madrid being replaced by Portugal, even for my own enjoyment in the games I loved that track
I guess can't judge Madrid too much cause we've not seen it yet, but from the plans it doesn't look good. Imo even returning to Valencia would've been a better option. And Portimao compared to that is a godsend
Honestly Portimao is so cool to drive on in games
All the elevation changes are amazing
Pushing out of T8...
its peak
its unlike most tracks on the calendar and its what the sport needs more than another street slop circuit
Tbf Hockenheim could be switched by Nurburgring GP strecke too, they're both neat imo
Or just return to the Nordschleife, surely that can't possibly go wrong
I recognise Zurich
I remember taking off 32 in an MD-11 at MTOW, was a fun climbout lol
I had to wait for the ground controller to ask me for taxi cuz there were too many people for me to ask for taxi
Zurich legit a fun airport
alps r nice
@reef isle https://youtu.be/KwysCDogDRI?t=129
dash q100 perhaps coming
A Dash 8 would be nice tbh
Well it's still nice
How different are the -100s from -200s/-300s?
Aurora had some -200s and -300s
Good
lol
Bro what
In preparation for next week's release of the PMDG 737-700NG for MSFS 2024, we thought you might enjoy a look back at where we have been, with a comparison to where the 737 is going now that she is getting her High Detail Update!
Initially announced in November 2025, the High Detail Update for the PMDG 737 fleet is finally complete and brings t...
let me guess, the "high detail update" is another additional purchase on top of the couple of coffees?
randazzo has to afford his private jet somehow
Me earlier today: "Gotta fly the 319s more"
Aeroflot 319s: exist(ed)
Also me:
I'm sure this is the most efficient way to reach runway 07
I love Russian arrivals
Dark
ok so apparently I had a flight on flight gear where volanta thinks I didn't land
like sure bro
golden hour descend
Cool
New tu204 I think
Tu-204 & 214 for XP12
I’m not 100% sure my Russian is dogshit
we got the russian here
From what it looks like, free
Ye
Well
They say it "looks professional unlike PilotSanya models" and "has correct aerodynamics"
Oh I wouldn't even say it's infighting or any beef
Most likely just being quite blunt
Like, I can say that most of Russians, if they think something's shit, they'll just say that, just the way it is
hope I don't slam this A330
Addis Ababa?
yup
1 runway?
oh 2
But only 1 is functional irl
I didn't see the other image
The other one is used as a taxiway, as there in fact is no taxiway running parallel to the runways
Been there in transit, decent airport for that
I'm flying to Dubai
are you gonna wave
Sure
If I spot an Emirates A330
Shame they got rid of those a while ago
log onto vatsim and watch the landing trust
It really kinda is
atc really didnt do me a right one
I love how they treat delays
I've been there first time in transit, flying from Cairo to Zanzibar with a stopover there
ah yes
The aircraft (which btw was a 350 actually) arrived in Cairo something like 2 hours late
In Addis Ababa I didn't really have a long connection, but it wasn't too bad either. But with a 2-hour delay, I kinda thought that my chances of catching the flight to Zanzibar are gone
We arrived into HAAB 15 minutes before the scheduled departure of the next flight
While taxiing in, I asked a flight attendant whether there's any chance I can still get there
She said "yeah it's fine, don't rush you'll make it"
Got out of the plane, made it through transit and to the gate, and then sat inside the plane for some 40 more minutes lol
I like that I'll actually be catching ATC
havent used vatsim or ivao in a long time
I still don't know what ivao is
ivao is vatsim but older and more european focused
u dont know the tale of poscon either
l o l
I'm scared
ivao fell off alot sadly, it never really became big like vatsim did
poscon had really good ideas and was ahead of its time but failed due to management iirc
it never really launched
theres also pilotedge, which is cool but a) paid b) the people on there think that they are reallife pilots
the ATCs on PE also get paid real money
so
i however have never tried it myself so i cant say
PE is also US west coast only
accurate indeed
"Wait there's stuff outside of California???"
really pumping these numbers
Wow
My maximum as of yet was 34
virginity relocked 👍
Tbf
but I was free as hell that whole time
It helps that I did 5 or 6 in a day a couple times
Or well, in a night
Did ASA Milk Runs
I think I did a full one back in September, and then a full one together with a friend in October
I'd say... 1350-1400 would be possible?
I mean, I reckon I could hit 1500 if I do overnights every time
I mean
i have 782 flights and 1891 hours
That averages at just over 3 hours per flight lol
ok let me see
Here's a friend of mine
so
Although, I think that's old data since he stopped using Volanta not that long ago iirc
But well, he does long hauls mostly
hold on, i can top that one
Well I was more showing the flight to hour ratio
oh
He's at almost 6 hours per flight on average
from august 9th to august 28th I flew every day exept the 14th, 15th, 16th 18th and 21rd
I prefer long flights for overnights, but during the day shorter ones
My shortest flight ever was 3 minutes
did u to and crash
bruh
fah
My longest one still stands at 14:42, KPAE to OMDB
second shortest was 53 minutes KCLT-KCHA
Second longest at 13:43, UUEE to MUVR
pain and misery of a flight
Third longest was 13:24, KLGB to RKSS
my longest was a transpacific
12 hours 46
second longest EDDM-KLAX
11 hours 49
third longest EDDF-KDFW
10 hours 4
Btw, since I do deliveries, and all small Boeings have to go from Renton to BFI, I have 16 flights that are 10 minutes or under
It includes the freighters
Includes overall:
- 204-100 pax
- 204-100 freighter
- 204-300 (only pax were built)
- 214 (only pax were built too)
Has several liveries for each
A plain white for each one too
emirates
yes
So I downloaded the thing, and it doesn't damn look all new. Something tells me they just uploaded the same Tu-204 which we had, which is supposed to be payware.
Yeah, I think I might've accidentally done a piracy
don't ban my guy he didn't know
That's really weird, cause that website doesn't usually do that kind of stuff
Maybe it's some weird april fools prank, considering that the picture there is definitely AI and definitely not a Tupolev
huh
modern
very modern
Gonna be sitting here in MXP for the next 2h
Taking one of the rare Ryanair flights out of here
I see an A380
where u flyin
Palermo
Ngl, even as someone who genuinely prefers 777s to pretty much everything, seeing 380s irl never gets old
Have a good flight!
OOOOOOOOH there's a Cyprus 220
Won't even try to get a photo of it
You saw how dogshit my phone's camera is
Thank you 😍
Did you ever go to Sicily?
There aren't that many connections straight to the UK
7100fpm oops!
Realistic 737MAX simulation
Sicily is cool tbh
Been there some time ago, liked it
Does anyone know where to get liveries for XP12 154M? I have a bunch for the B-2 but not for the M
Also so annoying that nobody makes sceneries for the factory airports...
Nothing for UWKG or UWLW
Oh cool, the 154s just don't work
Also I gotta say, XP default static aircraft are the most random thing ever
I get Cargojet/FedEx 727s, Delta MD-80s, USAir A320s in Moscow lol
Yeah; Trapani, Palermo, Catania and possibly comiso soon
Palermo and Catania are twice daily from Stansted in the summer
I think once daily in the winter with an extra weekend flight
Trapani is daily year round
Comiso would probably be seasonal
Reggio Calabria is also done 5x a week
US air A320 in athens
I think I've seen one of the US regional carriers ERJs in Moscow too
???
XP static traffic
Shows the most random planes ever in the most random locations ever
Idk how MSFS is in that regard tbh cause I think I've never used it with traffic on lol
Sorry to hear you'll end up in Comiso 🙁
Cool about everything else
I guess the good news is that I believe it's extremely unlikely that you'll have to ever sleep or spend some time there
Random airport LITERALLY in the middle of absolutely nowhere without any outside connection
Good luck, have fun
@reef isle I feel like if someone knows of a fix for that, it's you lol
Never seen that
I think you might just want to acknowledge it
The 154 has a weird trim system
It shuts the sim when you click the button
Also I installed some sceneries and completely broke UUEE, UUWW and UUDD
for me the 154 shuts the sim while loading
they'll fix it at some point
Can only wish for an Il-62 or Il-86
Well yeah
The plane that the A340-300 is cosplaying as

Guys look, I've got Sheremetyevo, the 1958 version
what did you do
Oh
154M or b2?
I spent a night in pescara of all places last month
So I wouldn’t rule it out
Also Poprad-Tatry
Ooooh nice
I have a friend from there haha
I'll be praying for you 🙏
It's either going to be a long trip to the hotel
Or a short trip to a shithole where nobody will speak proper Italian (let alone English)
I just forgot to install anything for Asia
Only have Europe installed right now lol
oh
Could it be like this if the scenery was made for xp11?
Probably
Is there any reason why you'd need scenery?
FD can you find a Rossiya livery for the sparky 74
IIRC with every xplane update all the scenery is brought to the latest version automatically
Xplane default is genuine MSFS payware level
The only thing that you'll miss are custom buildings
They're all "kitbashed" from default assets
But they're all hand made
And kept up to date by the community
If you want an older/outdated layout (or a different one) you can get it from here
Well I honestly don't like the default taxiway markings, that's the main thing
Basically regularly the latest version gets pulled from there and becomes the new "default scenery"
Only thing is that the taxiways might be outdated
They don't seem correct at all
rip my sweet summer child
I find the idea of the aviation tags quite cute and smart
But yeah I wish they were a little cheaper
i craved in for once
I agree
Or rather, I wish they weren't quite as "nicely made" (the engraving - or whatever the right term is) I'm sure if excellent
But cheaper 😅
The only plane I can afford rn is the superjet 100
Guess I can just keep default tbf, doesn't seem too bad
Are there any must-have utilities for XP or something?
Headshake
Pushback plugin (i forgot the nane)
Map enhancement
Alright
I only use better pushback and x-camera
Nothing else
Fair
i personally like airlinertags a bit more, they do tags, but they also do other stuff
i got these little hexagons, they fit nicely in my challenge coin collection
the brussels airlines one was actually a special livery for a football team
and then the other one is a dragonair A320
Welp, enough XP for today, plus I do need to download more continents if I want to actually fly lol
Time for an overnight I reckon
L1011 to LTU
Ngl I find it kinda cool how LTU actually barely had long haul routes
a330 to corfu lets go
L1011-1 Dusseldorf to Catania 😎
Also Dusseldorf - Rome
Best yet
L1011, Dusseldorf to Frankfurt
Not as a beginning of a longer flight
Just Dusseldorf to Frankfurt and back
Now I gotta figure out how to make it from Palmdale to Dusseldorf with just 9 waypoints...
Because quite obviously
Using a GPS unit would be heresy

I guess 3 in the US, 4 in the Atlantic and 2 in Europe? Lol
Also good luck with drift if you're not there to do position updates...
Probably going to be like 10-15 miles off?
Maybe it's not that bad, I don't remember the actual value
I think if you import the flight plan it will input new ones ino the INS?
