I'm very glad that the skidding issue is fixed next update
took a lot of footwork just to keep it on the runway
But otherwise, it's legitimately very good
Will have to try a runway with an ILS approach next
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/lx-flg#31dedb7c
here's what i was copying for the route
it's weird, I've genuinely not had much of a problem with the skidding (except the one time I took off at flaps 30)
It seems to be when you hit 80kts
apparently the flight model takes over from the ground handling whether you're airborne or not
and all that prop torque suddenly takes effect
I was fine until then, and then it suddenly wanted to go for the hangars
had to stamp my right foot down pretty hard to keep it on the runway
But yeah, hopefully fixed soon
the rudder-aileron interlink will take some getting used to
ah, it needs rudder trim for takeoff? that'll be why
I never read the docs before my first flight, I just get in and go using the checklist π
iirc the rudder trim is in the to position by default
yeah the rudder aileron interlink's a pain in the butt, kinda cool that they modeled it but it takes some getting used to
The EF-24G Mischief DLC is coming soon to VTOL VR on Steam!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2531290/VTOL_VR_EF24_Mischief__Electronic_Warfare/

time to buy a vr
it's not HOTAS compatible sadly, if you were hoping for that
F-14 / F-22 looking thing
It's a good jet, the view is fantastic in VR
Yeah i really enjoyed it
I mostly trialed it so me and my friend could fly with the same plane, but definitely interested in buying it now π
it has been tempting for the weaselly bits
I love planning a flight when vatsim controllers are online then by the time I've loaded in sim they've left
As always
turned out center came on line right as I was about to pushback, so I'm not gonna complain
how to tell the controller kinda forgot about you
honestly though DEN_CTR was great tonight
Oh nice π
I've flown a few times with DEN_CTR and the controllers always seem to be really good there
their controllers seem quite good, but it's also the center I most frequently seem to make a fool of myself in, it's like it's cursed because I did my first vatsim flight there years ago
feels like this flight was the first one I didn't screw up there π
F16 based
Good plane
Small mfds doe
S7 has more planes then the a320 ?

Finally the family is complete! Introducing the Embraer E190/195 by @fss-ag for @MicrosoftFlightSimulator
Hey YouTube! Thanks for watching π If you like what we are doing and you never want to miss new exclus...
I'm interested, but only once they add the custom lnav/vnav they've promised
I'm more interested in these than the 175s
Though I'd love if they could do the 145 as well
honestly if I could pick any it'd be the 145
Half of Loganair is 145s, I love seeing the little tartan things
the 145's just look lovely in a way CRJs never can match
100%
Embraer may not be loved by crews but they really know how to make a sleek looking aircraft
they're also far nicer than CRJs as a passenger, especially the e-jets
i've not actually flown as a passenger in real life for over a decade now, should probably change that
my local's mostly e-jets and CRJs with the occasional main line narrowbody
not that I've flown in a while either π
e-jets, ATRs, the occasional Dornier 228 or Airbus A319/20, and then private PC-12s/Dassault Falcons/TBMs
knew I'd get it eventually
one of those various european brands
the US in general is quite allergic to turboprop feederliners, it's a bit disapointing tbh
they're quite nice to watch
very quiet too
when an Embraer 190/95 takes off, you know about it
when it's an ATR, you barely hear it
#1169044544201949275 message new images of the flightfx 'secret' project
Yeah, people figured it out with the first images, which is a level of dedication I don't understand but fully support
Honestly if it's gonna be a modern glass bizjet, the c750's probably the one that excites me the most, I'm stoked
The hondajet's really well made, I just barely fly it because of its avionics suite, something to that quality (and especially a c750) with a better suite and I'll fly the hell out of it
Sorry canβt hear you over this fleet of CRJ-200s we just bought, this is the future of regional airlines!
Question for MSFS folk. Does it have a reliable working save flight feature? Not something I have ever used, but I am told the XP save flight feature is fairly broken. Just curious.
No idea sorry
I use Volanta to autosave my flights. Has saved me a few times now.
It can do that?
Any news on that
Think they posted about it recently
Donβt use the one in the sim, most aircraft arenβt compatible with it and tbh most of the addons that are good have an auto save feature already
I keep looking at the Leonardo Maddog. Is it really worth the crazy high price?
I know the sounds are a weak point, not sure if they've improved since launch
If you're gonna fly it a lot I'd very much say yes
The sounds still suck but immersive audio (iirc) is making a sound pack that should be out soon and until then ftsim's pack is quite alright
To expand on that, it's basically got the features of the Fenix but better, with a lovely wear and maintenance system
Nothing's got the slick presentation of the Fenix but if you can look past that what's under the hood is great
Perhaps an unpopular opinion but for me the Maddog is better than the PMDG 737NG
Absolutely, it's honestly the best tube in the sim (if you can accept some low res but good looking textures and mediocre sounds)
is the immersive audio pack going to be included with it, or is it a separate purchase, do we reckon?
Ah, it's separate but will be sold on JustFlight
How is it for bugs, also?
I know there are some, but I've never encountered any myself, it's patched every couple months with a few bugfixes
getting closer to Tampa Intl Airport with the CRJ700 i have
Really can't wait until the ATR is more complete and the CRJs get some much needed love and attention. The state they've been left in isn't great.
Yeah, it's frustrating
They're so close to being actually really good but fell down at the final hurdle
Over Utah and Decending to KSFO

I hit the TOGA button on the runway and it deleted my route, fortunately I thought ahead and copied it to RTE2
it was yelling at me all the way down the runway
Wait what? I've never had that happen
what a great aircraft π
It replaced my route with the go-around plan
Note to self, don't do that again
Oop
Also I'm not sure if it was the plane, the custom airports (Flightbeam KMSP/Asobo KORD) or FSLTL, but my frames were pretty rough throughout
I've never found issues with framerates on the plane myself
Will have to try again tomorrow
Has better performance than the jf birds for me
Any idea how to get boarding music to work, also? I had it set for this livery in the load manager, made sure not to select a custom registration, and press the EFB's "start boarding" button but i didn't hear any music
My favorite issue with the plane is that a couple updates back the mixture axis controlled the fuel cutoffs but didn't show visually, so I accidently shut down the engines after pushback
oof
Do you have the right settings for the audio files? I had issues until I followed the instructions in the f28's manual for its boarding music
Best part is I was on vatsim, had just killed the apu, and had to redo everything on the fmc
Msfs requires some specific settings for the audio files
Ah, cool
The old livery was so much better
nah I love this new one tbh
(And I'm totally not biased because I flew on the old one)
anything with neon pink is cool
Honestly the new livery is pretty good, I just prefer the old one
I can one up you here, I flew the 737max in the old livery
Lame, pencil all the way π
Ooh that's purdy
classic
Didn't know that livery lasted that long
What's that air Atlantic(?) bird in the back? Looks like a prop
Damn Im flying to much
Nice
Do you do long haul flights?
i love that you can legit print out the ACARS messages from the maddog from your actual printer
almost entirely pointless to me as a VR user but
it's just fun
Cold war and hornet dont go together
Couldn't not take this out on today of all days. 120 years of powered flight!
More flying

wooo let's goooo
π¦ 3. most played game
Fokker F.28 but with more oomph and smarts? Sounds good
CRJ700 KMDW--->KPIA
Still basically abandoned until the ATR is done

Still got the stupid reverser axis issue, still has the wonky autopilot, etc
Sad 146 noises
late into tashkent
is that even an Intl AIrport it looks small
small yes
this is just the international bit
small but with direct JFK flights
yes...
@light night give the server rules another read, thanks
Folks, might be a dumb question, but well I'm only learning the game now. So is there a keybind to hide the overlays temporarily, aka hide hud to take a screenshot in MSFS

Each day we release new products or have super sales (that are only available for 24hrs) π₯³ A warm welcome to Day 2 - The official trailer of the iniBui...
I just bought VerticalSim's KONT yesterday, and quite a few A306s use it... perfect timing honestly.
If this is half as good as the A310 then it'll be worth the purchase
yeah I'm quite excited, it looks like it's gonna be a lot better than the 310, and it'll be great for fdx and ups and fun for vAAL
Does look quite nice indeed
Hope it's gonna be on the marketplace. Love how it uses steam, so I can buy stuff actually π
Now all thatβs left to do is to actually learn how to fly
hate how BMWorld + AmSim seem to snap up all the interesting airports and then nobody else wants to make something better
the forum post makes it sound like it'll be a marketplace release some time next year
yeah it's really frustrating
Some time this year I think
Version 1.0 product release before the end of 2023 - features list below π π₯³
Quick Comanche flight around Palm Springs. Such a nice aircraft to fly.
The feature set alone is great but the sounds and handling really sell it above and beyond all other GA aircraft for me.
yeah it really is truly incredible
Reminds me, I need to fly mine home from KIAD...
honestly, haven't flown anything else this past week or so
trying my hand at all the scheduled stuff before attempting to do any custom routes with it
#900052826749800459 message oh, oh wow
New jf dev updates
https://www.justflight.com/in-development/f70-100-professional
Oh nice, a Piaggio! I saw one at RIAT, they look really bizarre.
Thatβs insane
Isk what to think about that
not content with ripping off the FBW A320NEO then
at this point i just want someone to get the A380 out of the door
and tbf Inibuilds were working on an A380 before FBW announced theirs
I'm still really hoping it's a 350, at least that's interesting unlike the 380
I really don't get all the hype for the 380
don't get me wrong, is a plane I really like and "respect" IRL, it's a very interesting piece of engineering, and an interesting demostration of economics in aviation
but to fly it in the sim?
eh
Pls a350
I want more regional jets
Long haul cool and all but man
Do i hate sitting on pc for 16 hours
Ejets, crj, atr, dash, a220 etc r all missing
And in a way the backbone as well
Yeah exactly, it's cool, I'll fly it once then never again
F70/100 plzzz
They need to hurry up
Im also really tempted to fly crj just because
As much as it sucks Itβs the best (modern) regional jet rn
Yeah a 350 would be nice too
I did 6.5 hours once, never again
Only time I feel like going nonstop cross-atlantic now is with the Concorde
B-2 maybe with a stop in Iceland

A380 is hard to get right, its airbus but has a custom avionics suite
just that msfs already has an A380 due
Turns out WorkingTitle broke the GNS430/530 a bit
Thank you all for providing more information, and for the votes of confidence. I've dropped everything else I'm working on to focus on this right now. I hav...
would explain why i couldn't convince it to work in the BKSQ Grand Caravan
Speaking of...
oh ffs
snagged air hauler 2 in the jf sale, seems like it'll be worth it for bizjet and turboprop charter ops
at least a potential hotfix has been posted π
that's good
just looked at the store page, very excel-esque
yeah it is, but as long as it works well (which I'll really be figuring out down the line) it'll be alright
I have Neofly but I never use it, i'm just doing flights for no reason at the moment
I don't really care about the UI, I play hellfire for god's sake π
π
i picked up the analog caravan to go with the king air, got pretty much everything else i wanted from there
actually having to put the brakes on getting new content because i'm running out of disk space to install more
no idea how i've done this in a month and a half
flightsim.to has a lot to answer for
lmao
yeah I know your struggle
the caravan tempts me, but I just don't think I'll fly it much
I really want to take it around Africa and places like PNG
It seems like the right plane for that
or Alaska
yeah that makes sense
really wish the kodiak wasn't a glass plane
For the bush stuff I'm really hoping milviz releases their otter soon
ima need a 1PB Server for that
really don't understand why they're making it for MSFS, just do it in DCS at this point
They can't, the Tornado's already being made by Aviastorm
Admittedly in German IDS spec, but that's very close to RAF GR.1 spec
German spec best spec
Imo not when it comes to fighter aircraft
Is LVFR stuff good? Noticed it is on sale
No
It's just a tiny bit above default quality, if you're on PC there is a mod that makes their planes as good as the freeware FlyByWire A320neo
So it's justifiable?
If you get that mod (which you should) you're only buying different 3D models for the FBW A320neo
Ah so, well... I was thinking to get the A319/318/321, but well, gonna have to think about it then
Only you can decide if that's good enough for whatever they cost
I think although more expensive if you want a good A320 it doesn't get much better than Fenix
Well I'm currently limited to whatever's on the marketplace in the game
Oh... Xbox?
Nah, just Russia
Ah...
Well tbf since I'd pay like $9 for the A318... doesn't sound too unreasonable
Thanks for the advice btw
Np
Thanks to JustFlight for another great aircraft.

CS sale, everythingsβ 9.99
morn
@reef isle
looking forward to that
I really can't wait for it and the 750
who has more than a terabyte of RAM in their gaming PC? christ
also DCS World at 3.2%... i'm fairly sure that's because most of the DCS community haven't got the first clue what Navigraph is, there's a perception that MSFS is an arcade game over there
yeah
jesus christ, I have the most default FS setup imaginable
3080, 32gb, Sidestick
also no FF777v2
very angry
no JF RJ either π
1.7% of people think the F28 is the best addon of 2023, I see this an an absolute win
because it was
surprised by just how low xp ranks
well I say that but I actually think the vulcan was even better, I just don't like flying it anywhere near as much as the F28
I think pretty much everyone but the XP diehards have moved to MSFS (some still playing x-plane occasionally though)
I think it's better for the price, but in terms of absolute quality I think the F28 is still a bit better, especially the FM, the Vulcan is good but as you get closer to the edge of the envelope it starts to fall apart IMO
I guess MSFS has sort of created its own market as both an "Arcade" and "Realistic" flight sim
While the F28 as far as I was able to tell always felt so good
under almost all situations
the vulcan is ancient tho, just new textures and some new functionality
its an old aircraft that they ported to MSFS
I think XP's jank made a lot of people ready to hop off as soon as something else came along, and MSFS is finally getting proper quality airplanes (Fenix, PMDG, JF, etc...) people are willing to switch
I think MSFS has features that appeal to more people
I admittedly don't have the XP or P3D versions, but while yes it's a port, I'm pretty sure most of it was rebuilt from near the ground up
More people care about pretty graphics than system depth and flight models, we're starting to get FMs and Systems that are starting to be good enough in MSFS so that the "weird people" are starting to switch as well IMO
no I totally get that, if it wasn't for taking a couple year break from xp I'd probably still be playing it over msfs
just with the jank 2k textures of early XP11 aircraft
could be
I have it but have only flown it like 5 times
its cool but eh
not really something your gonna log onto vatsim with
"Hello eurocontrol, I've come to bomb east germany"
yeah I know what you mean, it's the same with the msfs version, it's cool but I probably should yeet it to save space π
I'm happy Navigraph did this
It gives a cool insight into the current state of the FS community
I always like the navigraph surveys, but I don't think they actually capture 'flightsimmers' as a whole, just the more tuned in members of the community
which is still very interesting to see
I would like to see the subscriber/response ratio
Buenos Aires, however...
yeah, only really civsimmers
Navigraph, outside of some charts, isn't really at all useful for DCS, Falcon BMS, and definitely not for IL-2
it's very self-selecting
PMDG cant be Working on a 777 Havent herd anything on it
its like the CS's 777-300ER
what rock are you living under
honestly not that interested in the T7, if I wanted to do long haul I'd be running the felis in XP
Except it's probably going to be considerably better quality
that's putting it mildly
days off, so I suppose flying is in order
i'm more shocked about the geofs number
As long as Captain Sim isn't on that list, we're fine. π
Same Cockpit to So idk
uh, no
bruh π
a cs 777 is obv gonnahave the same cockpit as a pmdg 777
it a 777 after all
doesn't the CS one use 748 instruments
yes
lmao
The DC Designs F-14 and HB/IFE F-14 have the same cockpits, one is considerably better
Aforementioned 407, Lovely flight model, an absolute joy in the hover. Buggy idle stop switch and not a fan of how he has the headphones set up
Wonder if PMDG will re-charge for MSFS24 π€
Nvm, just searched forums π€¦π»ββοΈ π
Wym
Dauphin CYVR area
Ofc
They complained about making the EFB
PMDG are really money hungry
The way is see it
Zibo737 for XP free, has the same functionality, worse model since itβs based on the default 737
And PMDG are charging 80dollars per version
Apparently A350 has been announced by iniBuilds for MSFS
Yeah... The flight model of the 787 is questionable at best
Well here we are... nearing the end of 2023! What a fantastic year it has been π₯³ From all of us at iniBuilds thank you for all your support on the various projects we have produced for the flight sim community! We have one major one left which is the launch of the iniBuilds A300-600R Airliner for...
not really my cup of tea but cool for the long haul folks
Actually I think this is another one of the few modern planes I'm interested in
I'm not super hyped about it or can't wait for, but much cooler than any A330 or 777
it's a neat plane, I just don't see myself flying it, if they made a c series I'd be far more interested
Speaking of that... Synaptic delayed their presentation to January π¦
I'm slightly more interested in the 330 or T7 because they're both more common and they've got short and medium haul freight operations, whereas the 350's pretty much solely doing longhaul (I think)
But I don't know, I don't really think ini is that good - so far their products felt decent but not that good, they feel a step down compared to PMDG/JF/Leonardo, etc...
Especially their flight models range from OK/Decent to absolutely unflyable
I mean Iberia often does London-Madrid in an a350
I've tried the ini/MS MU-2 and it's the worst flight model I've ever seen in any flight simulator to date.
(genuinely, not an hyperbole)
I'd rather fly Ace Combat.
I think you're right about the 777, but the A330 for me it's not really different enough from the 320, to be fun, at least the 350 is a completely new (and very advanced plane), that (unlike the 380) does a bit of medium haul
yeah I totally get that with the 330, it's just the lame version of the 340
Yeah, and the biggest problem with the 777 is PDMG and their fucking awful pricing model
Oh you have the -300ER? Want the -200? Yeah that'd be $70
I hate it with a burning passion
Loyalty discounts for different versions of what is ostensibly much the same aircraft would be appreciated
I have the 737-600, 800 and 900
Not sure I'd pay for all 3 again, definitely not planning on getting the 700
If JF gives me a discount on the RJ because I have the 146 I'll buy the RJ just out of kindness

I'm really interested in the 737 Max but the idea of having to pay AT LEAST 100$ if I want more than one variant is just so off putting
I doubt they will given how different they are, but at the same time they did that for the pipers
Though now I think about it I kinda remember hearing there would be a discount, no idea if I'm remembering right though
W
So they are doing an A380 too
Interesting
And still no 747, from anyone
it's certainly a take
Japan
JAL run there entire 350 flees operating the Japanese commuter services
Tokyo - Osaka
Sapporo - Hiroshima
Shit like that
Also 3+h is some cool routes by Cathay and SIA that they do
Biggest L in the flight sim community rn tbh
Idk why theres no 74 but a380s
so many roles the 747 can fit but seemingly everyone would rather leave it to PMDG
and not to say the effort in it isn't good but, the salty 747-8i isn't exactly worth flying a lot
Salty 748 is outdated now, the base game one is better at this point
shows how long it's been since I touched MSFS π
Theres a Maddog update out
Wuts new
Aye, looking forward to DLing it
Bugfixes for the most part, engine volume slider, some other bits
Aircraft Options in the EFB now too
Best of all 122.8 by default
Does anyone know where Sun Country operated Amazon planes park/load at KMSP?
Iirc the cargo pad is near the fbos
Maybe the west cargo apron? The central one seems like it's basically just ups and fedex
There is another one off the runup pad
Damn, nice
the FSS one?
Yes

Ayo
I'd recommend looking into VKB Sim for a good flight stick. Their Gladiator is reasonably priced and very well made. I use it both in military and civilian flight sims. Plus, the whole system is modular and can be expanded with various add-ons.
Departed from Sylt
, this plane is so intuitive and easy it makes the 320 feel like a 737
Issue is they are quite large and donβt have combined throttles, also Iβm not much for DCS more airline flying so this would probably be way overkill for me
Careful taking it on vatsim though, it doesn't like directs on sids and stars
Reminds me of the Xcraft V2 Ejets
When they first came out for XP
They do keep updating it, so hopefully it'll have the new lmav/vnav in 2024
Ah π¬

Guess I'll do DCT on the FMC, then do HDG, and then back to LNAV once I'm there
thanks for the heads up π
Survived the DCT (just about), but I made it
Only done 1 flight so far - but I wouldn't pay more than 25/30β¬ for it right now
But TBH I'm not the biggest Embraer fan, and I have no plans to ever study it and go much beyond getting it to go from A to B, so I'm biased against it somewhat
Glad I won it, or I wouldn't have bought it otherwise π
Hello all! We hope you enjoyed the iniBuilds Winter Wonderland special event which featured some fantastic releases; OMDU - SkyDive Dubai (free) & Landmarks, Dubai International Airport and some info on our 2024 roadmap including the iniBuilds A350 & the A380 π₯³Today is a super exciting da...
23k in a atr is crazy
quite looking forward to this one - prefer it to the a310 personally
Yeah same
lord
Honestly I'm amazed you're willing to fly the atr π
It's just frustratingly close to a quality model imo, but I'd doubt it'll get updated to make it actually worth my time
Pressure at 1009 at 23k?
I just don't get why they did the -600
a300?
ATR
New avionics and capacity
i like the current one
But a lot of the operators I'd like to "fly for" never had the -600
(and steam gauges>>>>>>>>>>)
depends on the plane
i do prefer classic aviation too though
90s were the golden mix of modern and old imo
At least jf are making the A30B
The 600 will be great for cargo, the b4-200 will be great for pax
737 classic plz
Nah pmdg's gotta make every long haul in existence first

There's an update coming in January apparently
It looks very good, but I'm really just bored of learning new and fairly samey airbuses across the continental US at this point
I really want to start seeing stuff from the 60s and 70s
really is just like watching ants burst out of their Louisville nest
Yeah I was talking about the ATR π
I'll only consider the ini 300 if costs about β¬30
I already know it'll be an A310 with a different 3d model and hopefully a twaked flight model
don't really want to pay too much for that
Β£34.99 is the official price
It's not though
Is it not?
#1165354616993632397 message
this has all the info you need
they've gone surprisingly in-depth with it
it has maintenance features apparently
i think it'll be like the A310, but more study-level, with cargo/passenger layouts, and more features
which is probably why i won't get it because the A310 is good enough for me
hard to argue with free
Yeah
And I mean, they might add things that are not in the A310, but the cockpit and system will be exactly the same, which is what actually matters π
and 35GBP for that for me is not reasonable, especially when the JF A300B4 will be a variant that I find a lot more interesting, and I'm sure will be better quality
dynamic tyre wear sounds cool but i can't imagine wanting to have to play Microsoft Mechanic Simulator before I can get into the cockpit
oh lordy the sounds though
yeah
Most modern variant, Modern avionics are much more approachable for new players and more will want to get it
It is a shame though, thr 500s are way more interesting
Use the XP10 aerosoft one with the very modified ACF file that adds a bunch new stuff and working FMS
500βs are cool asf tho
Damn
Iβm trying to sync the data from my mums Xbox but Iβve got between 500 and 800 hours
ok I'm just looking to nitpick since I know these planes fairly well, the Fedex and UPS planes they depict should have the late production large cargo door at the rear lower position, but I see the narrow door; curiously the main deck cargo door panel IS the late production version though (on most of them there's a lock handle physically mounted on the door instead of a switch that drives a motor to do that)
otherwise the A300 looks pretty nice, almost tempting enough to get back into flight sim
Sorry, ultra-late answer. But the VKB Gladiator is acutally quite small, maybe a tad larger than a Thrustmaster stick? It also has a small lever that can be used as throttle in a pinch. These days I mainly use it for civilian aviation (airliners and GA planes) and I really like the amount of buttons and encoders it has. Very convenient, plus itΒ΄s built very well, unlike Thrustmaster products. The TB products apparently have QC issues, at least according to r/hotas.
TM products are shit
I'll have a look
I ain't bought anything yet so we will see
depends on ur usage, if u do dcs too i'd recommend winwing
vkb is great, virpil is supposedly also very good
does anyone know why i have the fuel supply on but am not getting fuel
im desperate i have a 10 hour flight and i dont wanna crash
nvm i got it fixed
all good
I fly in close formation with a team, and pretty much everyone has Virpil, IMO only good TM stuff is the medium/low range products which are decent value for money (in particular the Hotas X and T16000 - which is what I have ATM), I have some Virpil stuff coming once they decide to ship it
Can confirm that Virpil is incredibly good. Went from a TM Warthog to a Virpil MongoosT-CM3 base, and my hovering skill in stuff like the Hind and Apache pretty much doubled overnight. I could hold a hover before but it was hard work. Now it's all just fingertip pressure, super easy.
The virpil stuff is very tempting bu the prices dissuade me (at least in the short term)
entirely fair
rip inimanager again, as half of the msfs community descends upon the A300
Yes, it has a fair bit of maintenance
brakes, tyres (both with visual indicators), oil levels, etc
the performance is
not great
not the worst, but not great
On par with jf or worse?
Worse
Hit a couple of bugs with it. It has an invisible third radio that you can't configure but does catch local ATIS, so I tried to disable that with the radio controls. Big mistake, because if you touch those you lose all ATC audio for the flight, same as the A310 which still isn't fixed.
It also seemed to stray off the flight plan once, it was almost like it forgot which leg it was on?
Navigraph chart implementation is a bit wonky - no pin function, and the position indicator (which you can't seem to turn off) actually seems to be referencing the top left corner of the aircraft graphic and not the center of it?
Also, might be something I did wrong, but I could not convince LOC/GS to capture at all. I've hit this in the A310 as well so it's probably user error.
The sounds were good, though for some godforsaken reason they were all turned down to 50% in the EFB (yes, it's got its own audio controls on top of the sim ones) so you have to crank them to 100% if you want to hear much.
Visually, impeccable. It looks absolutely stunning from every angle, as do most IniBuilds things.
Performance... it seemed to fluctuate throughout cruise? Not sure if it was FSLTL messing things up but I actually seemed to get better performance in VR than I did in 2D which is odd. If I had to rank it out of 10, with 10 being the most undemanding addon ever, and 0 being the A310 at IniBuilds KLAX with FSLTL cranked up to the max... I'd probably give it a 4.
Hand-flies a lot better than the A310 too.
Would have loved a way to view the OFP on the EFB as well, but oh well. The rest of the simbrief integration is good.
lmao this is a bug in the xp one
has been since launch
the radios I mean
with XP you can just disable the output of the radio in settings
going to
worth buying xp11?
Thanks for your initial review! Tbh, the A300 looks like it could be a fun long-term plane that could replace the 737 as my "go-to yoke-aircraft". Looking forward to hear more of your impressions in the coming days especially since I'm gone over the long weekend and can't get my hands on it, yet.
Doing a second flight in it now; performance seems better today, and I'm doing the reverse route of the one I did last night, so I think the perf issues were probably FSLTL.
Visually, again, it's incredible. Right down the orange peel on the paint.
no, buy 12 instead imo
performance and graphics are better
if you're new to flightsims though, buy msfs instead
or DCS if you want to do combat stuff
yup
dcs played msfs played too broke for xp12
i wouldn't recommend xplane because theres literally no free aircraft
msfs has the fbw atleast
n 330
and it's just abit old and outdated in my eyes
What the fuck are you on about

This is modified default B737-800 by me. You don't need extra 3rd plugin, only X-Plane 11. This plane is free and it will be always free. This moded aircraft shows what are the possibilities of this plugin and Xplane 11. Special thanks to all team of Laminar Research (for default XLUA plugin too)...
i forgot about that
the levelup 737 that was abandoned
including their max because walthers' 737 max

xplane 12
my guy said xplane 11
you're getting super defensive jesus
all i said was that msfs is a better option for starting
theres no need to explode
The planes I'm flying the most in Xplane11 are the Free B720B and the Tu-154
And the Zibo 737 is as good (if not better) than the PMDG
Looks like the A300 has the same failure-to-capture-glideslope bug that the A310 has had for over a year now π€¦ββοΈ
i prefer pmdg visuals and systems wise probably zibo
how do i turn on cabin lights in the C90??
here's a question, have you gotten the bug with the 720 where you end up with the GPS not turning on at all when stating up
i see
I don't use the GPS sorry
v1.0.1 of the iniBuilds A300-600R Airliner for MSFS has been released. leipzig great because it's a big cargo hub
cant wait for the 777 to drop
aerologic my love
Their sticks aren't great, their replica combat aircraft throttles are pretty solid though
still using my TM Warthog throttle with the slew sensor upgrade, it's great
not found anything yet that it doesn't have enough buttons for
i can vouch for the stick
i've used my warthog for the past 7 or 8 years now
the throttle was really good, the stick started giving in after 4 or so years though
i just use the grip from mine now, mounted it on virpil stuff
reinstalling gsx might've been the biggest pain
that i've had w flight sims in recent times
I keep looking at it but the setup seems like a real pain, especially if you go to lots of different airports
i've been installing it for 3 hours now
i dont even know what it's installing anymore
So, after the release and one patch, how's the A300? Worth the purchase?
How are the flight characteristics (AP, ground handling etc.)?
hype
π Have to wait for flight reviews before throwing money at it
So after two short hops between Leipzig and Stuttgart airports I feel quite happy with purchasing the A300. An older Airbus is a nice change from FBW planes I used to fly lately. I also have a reason to set up the Honeycomb yoke again.
I only have a minor issue when flying an ILS approach. For some reason the plane doesn't capture the glideslope despite being set up for landing (I guess?). Now that I think about it, maybe leaving NAV mode on could be a problem?
Known issue. The fix is to not be in Profile mode. Switch over to ALT HOLD mode before trying to capture the glideslope, and use LVL CHG if you need to ascend/descend.
I had the same thing on my first two flights
Ok, that's good to know. Thanks! I'll give it a try later. Otherwise the plane really is quite enjoyable.
Absolutely is, I've done 4 flights in it so far, really like it
doing a big PVE mission?
yes
nice, I've always wanted to try doing that, used to love big pve arma missions
we'll so how it goes haha
also with srs and stuff
real atc
going to be interessting
how's the b2?
Not bad. The CDU is completely frozen but fortunately I can use the PMS GTN750 window to sort my flightplan and radios
It didn't do this last time I flew it so I've probably installed something that's broken it
Surprisingly functional for a relatively cheap aircraft though, and very visually detailed
have you got the Vulcan? it's quite well made for a military plane in msfs (and is at a very decent pricepoint too)
I do indeed, it's a lot more in-depth than the B-2
tbf I can kinda understand why a B-2 wouldn't be the most in depth π
I just figured that, given that we'll never ever see the B-2 in DCS, I may as well give it a go in MSFS
yeah, we've only just recently been shown what the real cockpit looks like (this is based on those photos)
There's just something about this shape though...
mixed
ooh nice, seems like a lot of them heavily focus on the most modern stuff, good to see some providing for (somewhat at least) older planes
These are also droppable, which is quite rare for MSFS
but I don't think Canada would appreciate that so I shan't today π
iirc the free fall bombs on the vulcan are also dropable, but sadly not the missile, would be fun to watch that shoot off
Can't even imagine what that would look like, Blue Steel was massive
but huh, will have to try that next time I fly the vulc
Where are you taking the -800 today?
Ah, I bought that to fly the A300 to but I've not gone there yet
and KDEN is always good
Guessing you're running either Flightbeam or FlyTampa? I forget who made KDEN
Flightbeam, and yeah it's great
don't really fly modern routes much but joined a United virtual airline that just launched and currently only has modern routes but should add historical timetables in the future
oh nice!

How did I not know anything about this
STEAM GAUGE HIGH QUALITY BIZJET

it looks quite cool, the early access scares me a bit but people in other servers I'm in seem to be enjoying it
and Lear 35s are
those tip tanks π€€
I learned about this thing's existence in MSFS a few mintes ago, is it already available to buy?
I really wanted a bizjet to operate routes that no commercial plane would reasonably do (not even a 72
)
I wish they implemented the KLN90B
Requirements: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
THIS IS AN EARLY ACCESS AND DOES NOT INCLUDE A USER MANUAL OR TUTORIALS!
The early access has been fully tested for six weeks by two certified Learjet 35 pilots and one former Learjet 35 instructor. They have given the go ahead to release the product as flight worthy. You can expect this product to ...
I'm very tempted to buy it
I'll watch that video and then decide, I watched some snippets and it seemed that the only WiP part was the textures
and I can't care less about that if I tried tbh π
i bought it the other day, still yet to fly it
for me the real trouble with buying it now is all the sales, the c160 finally has a sale outside the marketplace for example
they've already put out like 5 patches for it as well
Oh yeah, the C414 was crazy
C-160 has never been in better shape, it's a great time to invest
they like pushed 2 updates a day sometimes
damn
I also got the FSS Embraer 190/195, pretty happy with them so far. The autopilot gets confused sometimes, but the lack of VNAV isn't too bad when you have a FL CHG button to work with.
learjet is scary
it's just that friggin GNT750
I hate it
it's such a weird bizjet
yeah, the VNAV's not the problem imo, the LNAV is
at least there's a 530 option, though I'd rather true /a
I can see that being the case. It behaved itself for the most part today but just started going off on a weird tangent at one point. Think it's because I changed the approach mid-flight
Again, my knowledge is less than 0, would it be era appropriate to have this jet flying /a?
yes
looks quite modern-ish?
NICE π
built starting in 73, so no civil gps
tbh the 530 is so good at this point (thanks WT) that I use it quite a lot
even opted to keep it in the SWS PC-12, no point in running a GTN750 when the PC-12NG is coming anyway, may as well lean into the retro
It's just that I hate the real unit ahah
I actually prefer the KLN90B to the 750
yeah, my only gripe at this point is that it doesn't let you load flight plan files
I don't, I think @tired pond does in DCS
I do, other than during cruise in airliners or strategic bombers
Falcon BMS' integration is a little janky I'm afraid, due to the fact that it was added after the fact. What issue did you have with it specifically?
I do but haven't played much recently
really need to play falcon again, the campaigns are just so
good news tho
dcs did mention the dyanmic campaign in their latest newsletter
i'm staying positive for 2024
it's going to be longer than that I think
it's a massive project, they've got to do so much untangling of old spaghetti code and fix up the AI to make it even playable
never mind designing all the systems, making the UI for them, playtesting, bugfixing, etc
i'm mostly looking forward to mig23 and kiowa this yr
Kiowa yes. MiG-23... I'd be very surprised
well razbam been teasing it ALOT lately so im positive
They have, but I think it's still about a year off. DCS stuff takes so much longer, the market's just so much smaller and the amount of development is so much bigger, as well as the relatively old APIs that they have to work with
We'll definitely get the Phantom, almost certainly the Kiowa, probably the F4U and the La-7, but I'd be surprised if anything else aircraft-wise turned up
really hope it's this year, but I think malakhit's right
also really hope those 29 teases turn out to be real
same, I got the edition with both vinyls - looking forward to the day they show up
I think it's all just the FC3 one, they just like the model a lot. If they managed to find a way around the legal barriers they hit before, I'll be thrilled though
phantom's looking super cool, but being two person puts me off
jester my secret crush
yeah, certainly in the images they posted, I just feel they post too many images of it compared to other FC3 stuff to not at least be teasing, but god knows if it'll ever happen
a german 29 could get around the russia issues, or maybe some other export one
i doubt for a while
i'm really really sad that the redfor market is so undersaturated
they interest me more than a f18
sadly, a MiG-29A is going to struggle in game against anything newer than the Mirage 2000
yeah same
totally, but honestly the two of them would be a really fun match up
i'm glad they don't bother with balance
better to make it realistic rather than artificially fair
my squadron is all PvE and all rotary, and I'm glad for that tbh
wasnt the f14 the plane they "balanced" the 54s' because they were unfair in pvp
i swear i can remember something along the lines a year or two ago
totally, but I think you can do more balance by choosing aircraft of a similar capability to model, instead of having ~2000s bluefor and at best early 80s redfor
there was some talk about it, but it's never really been true
stuff usually releases a bit OP and then they tend to bring it down to more realistic levels based on new data
The Phoenix is currently in a good place honestly
it kills bombers well, doesn't do amazingly well against fighters, just like it should be
in ACM the 54 is a banger on a 20-25mile range imo
how's the jeff? obviously it's not gonna truly match the teen fighters but it does seem like it can be a reasonable asymmetric threat at least
i usually carry aim9s, sparrows and phoenixes anyway
I prefer the AIM-7 for ACM honestly
i love the jeff
jeff looks sexy, flies sexy and is redfor
it's super modern
It's good at BVR, can do A2G quite well but with limited payload, not great in a dogfight though. Really feature-packed little greenfor aircraft though
it's neat
used to play 4.0 back when i were a kid, always jump back into it every now and again
always been a filthy casual though
haven't played any flight sims properly for years but clutch a cheapo hotas setup just to mess about with again
okay, time to bring this thing home to Keflavik
descending from 43,000 feet is going to be a lengthy process
5000fpm all the way
i like bms because of (obv) the campaign and the f16 itself
graphics of course arent the best sadly but it's still good
the BMS campaign is just so good, I really wish we had a more modern sim with such a great campaign
I love that it has stuff like resource attrition
Like i said, for dcs try pretense, imo very good
Better than liberation
Ofc nothing will come close to bms sadl
KSZL -> BIKF
6h16m flight time, still had plenty of fuel left. The approach mode was a little squirrely but it's quite nice and easy to hand-fly.
Oh you need to change the course on the HSI yourself even if you use the GPS
that makes it more fun at least
(the Lear 35a)
wait what
glad you told me, that'd have been fun to find out when i take it for a spin
hehe
tbf it was all modern exept for 2 f14 one of which i flew haha
DCS
redownloaded rise of flight and thought I'd give it a go, holy hell have textures improved in the past 10 or so years
(and it wasn't letting me bind anything to my throttle π‘ )
@echo gorge asked in the Q&A and no plans for either KLN90B nor /A for the Lear 35a π¦
That's a real shame, I'll still get it I think but that's unfortunate nonetheless
Agreed
Feels good to set up the Alpha again. Flying with a yoke just feels different than using a stick in a more modern, automated Airbus.
I do love my Alpha, but hate that stupid cable, just makes it look cheap and nasty
sad what's happening to honeycomb though
i initially looked at their Alpha (not sure how i'd attach it to my simrig though) but it really does look like they're not long for this world
I bought the honeycomb, still never used it
It takes too much effort to set it up and then only use it for T/O and Landing
Too bulky and spacey, really unfortunate
Is the flap lever notched?
fly GA more then π
Unfortunately not. It's just a normal axis. Though with some 3d printing magic you should easily be able to create detents.
It's fun to use with GA planes that can be flown manually. I also enjoy using it with the P-38 as that feels quite good, too. Though I really wish there'd be affordable force feedback yokes. The sim racing market is quite ahead of flight simming in that regard.
yo i need help
i got the dc designs concorde
but it doesnt go faster then mach 1
i dont know why
afterburners are on
Looks like you didn't follow the correct climb procedure, you're too high and too slow, that means you have too much drag to overcome now
Descend, and get some speed and then climb again
Si
Nice
You also have to manage your fuel correctly to hit Mach 2. Look up how to operate the trim tanks in the manual. You need to shift the CG around using fuel weight in order to reach top speed.
ight
speaking of dcs
im not much of a pro really
could hardly even work the autopilot haha
i just do lil flights over the uk
i might got something in the sale
so bit of a jump for me lol
No need to on the DCD
btw
No, you absolutely do
is there a keybind for the trim tank things
It's more automated/simplified than it is in the FSLabs one, but it's still required
so i dont have to press it manually
I have it, and some time ago I decided to try without managing fuel and everything was fine
Weird, I had to follow the steps in the manual to get mine to climb and hit the right speed
Yeah, I followed the manual and did everything BUT transferring fuel and it was fine
don't think so, it's all in the flight engineer's station and you kinda have to look at what you're doing to do it
Maybe there's been a change since? Dunno if he fixed something with or not. I know there's a big update coming with improved visuals and CIVA INS
im really bad at finding a specific switch
honestly it's best to read the manual for it, it's all in there
the engineer's panel is a bit of a mess of switches, and i've only flown it once
it's included with the product
in Packages\Community\dcdesigns-aircraft-concorde\Documents\Concorde
not sure if it's hosted online anywhere
Yeah, might have very well changed it for all I know
I still doubt the FM is good enough for fuel transfer to have an effect π
I'm not sure if I set it to a specific rate - think i set it to speed hold instead
Ah, yeah - 1k fpm seems to be what's recommended from 40,000 feet up
I know it's DC Designs and it's lower fidelity that it could be but i absolutely had a blast flying the thing
have any of you played IL2 flying circus and if so do you recommend it? the first world war bug's bitten me again and ROF's both old and being tetchy with my hardware
there's something special about watching wings slowly fold off instead of the plane exploding in a fireball
I purchased and played FC a while ago for exactly those reasons. Dogfighting with those old planes is indeed special, each fight feels like a deadly dance in the skies. FC is well done and the planes themselves look, feel and sound very nice.
I just gave up after a while because my interest in WW1 aviation wasn't as big as I thought it would be. I also don't own a reliable head tracking system which is absolutely necessary because otherwise you'll quickly lose track of enemies.
These days I also don't feel comfortable supporting Russian companies so I've steered clear off the IL2 franchise.
thanks, yeah that all makes sense
i have a question again (sorry i suck at msfs)
can i lower waypoint height
if i want custom departure
What do you mean by "waypoint height"?
Taking in the sights and sounds of Costa Rica.
That doesn't look like a Dragon Lady to me...
Is MSFS Premium Deluxe worth it?
Or even better to phrase it, is it worth it if the main reason to buy is the 787
I have Deluxe, haven't really touched the Dreamliner. only b/c I'm too scared (if thats a way to put it) of flying the damn thing
Might try one of those Japanese Domestic hauls with it now though.
I'm not personally the biggest fan of the MSFS 787, but I seem to be in a minority, a lot of people seem to enjoy it
Isn't the new SR-22T limited to premium deluxe? The old SR-22 was
the Citation Longitude is quite nice now after WT got their hands on it, the Dreamliner is also a lot better now that WT have "fixed" it and the Kuro/Horizon versions are out
i need help
i cant shut off the concorde engines
nvn
figured it out
finally did full flight
I've only done EGLL -> KIAD in mine but yeah it's a blast
Damn then I think I might want it
Yeah I guess not this sale
Nice π
in the exterior camera? there's an option in the difficulty settings iirc to remove it
I'd really suggest learning to use the drone cam though, you'll generally get better results there for exterior screenshots
cruisin
based
is that where i am? ngl, only just got into DCS
saw the f-16 on sale and just thought fuck it
you are probably playing on caucasus
persian golf is dlc map
yee did briefly look at those dlc maps but damn, prices
naa i was looking at them when they were on sale, just felt pricey after sinking the Ps on the F-16
tbh
the 40β¬ or more you spent are worth it
you gonna fly that plane till you know the ins and outs of it
hell yee
recognising a lot from my BMS days too which definitely helps
already nearly completely binned it into the ground
