I think it's because you keep leaving it on very slightly and it impacts you on steep gradients

Could you explain more in detail what you did (perhaps even better if there's a video we can watch), because I tried and it worked fine for me 😄

Yes I did

Thank you so much 😄

Huh, that's really weird. Have you used that overchange/quick release position before all of this started happening?

No, it's just that position on the brake lever that you held to keep the brakes from applying

#

So, the first time you released the brake the way you released it was to keep the brake lever in that position?

#

I meant before you get rolling, would the brake release if you just bring the brake lever into the "running" position?

#

Ok, try again and do your best to never move the brake lever in the "Quick Release" position

#

No problem, FYI, that brake setting is useful in some cases IRL and it's correctly simulated, "Quick Release" is (IMO) a sort of misnomer, what it does is overcharge the brakes, so the simplest way to explain is that after you apply the brakes (if they're overchaged) than they won't release completely when you ask them to. for all intents and purposed in TSW you will most likely never ever need to use that brake setting. If you briefly go into that notch it's fine but don't hold it for too long

#

No problem 😄

i would too like to know this. how do we recover the breakes afterwards? I almost cant believe that IRL this is how it works

Sorry I missed the last message, I'm not 100% sure but I guess you need to apply the brakes and wait until the pressure drops again

If you use quick release then brake position, and this many times, the steering valve of the wagon goes mad. A pressure higher than 5 bar can be (overcharging). At that time, you can get off the locomotive, and the steering valve of each car must be release manually (red pull cord on the side of the wagon "Notlösezug").
