Right now, the replay names are all in numbers, and that's fine for saving purposes, but there should be a way to rename the replay files in game so that more memorable matches can be differentiated easily.

#

It's hard to find the replay files I want to actually look at right now

tbf, when they come up in the replay studio, they tell you who was in the fight

#

or at least they should be doing that haha

knotty oar
#

It does tell you that, but what if they do several matches like we did earlier?

hoary herald
#

i don't have a good solution for that outside of a "save replay" option in the esc menu in match that lets you rename it midgame

#

or modify the name

#

something

knotty oar
#

I think you're misunderstanding

#

I don't mean rename it in-match

#

I mean rename it in replay studio itself

hoary herald
#

i did misunderstand then haha

knotty oar
#

You'd still need to open it one by one, but at least you don't need to open the folder itself to rename it

Yeah I totally agree, I def need to add renaming (and many other things) to the replay studio

knotty oar
#

Adding to this, maybe a delete replay function too cuz I heard there's a limit to how many replays can be saved?

wide shard
#

Yeah, it will auto delete the oldest one

#

But I wanna add the ability to mark replays as favorite so they dont get deleted automatically

#

But replays aren’t forwards compatible anyways. They break in newer game versions. So it will be best to export them (but this is also not possible yet, you need to manually screen record it)

knotty oar
#

Well, that's sad. But oh well

hoary herald
#

give us access to old versions @wide shard 😈

wide shard
#

I could! There used to be a “previous” branch but no one used it lol

hoary herald
#

that was before replay studio was a thing

#

well, before selecting replays

wide shard
#

Replay studio was always a thing

#

Oh right

#

Good point!

hoary herald
#

now if you could do it so replay studio doesn't lose functionality going back...

#

that would be the best of all worlds haha

#

or allow replay studio specifically to access older versions

#

i...don't know how you'd do that without getting crazy recursions happening

scarlet panther
#

can't you rename them in windows

#

and still load them in the studio

#

that's a bit of a workaround

#

but it does work
