CSGO skins were waged on in various shaddy sites and there was a real life monetary element to it. It was a great controversy with some YouTube channels being run by the people running the "casino" like betting CSGO skin sites as well and faking how easy it was to get super rare skins

@weak charm So I did some google - ing, and while I couldn't find much in the way of specifics, Most accounts seem to agree that while cost of development has gone up (for triple A games) the profit has also increased at roughly the same ratio.

Thanks for the research, it makes sense as you say it, since more and more people play games which means more profit. But my original intension was to show that games are not made over 10, 100 or even 10000$ and they take time, and its a lot of work.
