I was gonna restart on regular but o figured this would be a way to force myself to build bigger and play slower
10k Smart plating
Run around, make a hypertube cannon and gather all the stuff you can, store it and go on
You can get them from drop pods
The crash sites
Is the ground loot randomized?
prob need pure/normal at best
where do you guys put your space elevator
near my hub
do you make foundations for it or just rawdog it
the hole over the void in the middle of the map
On the cliff near default spawn
It looks amazing
i have an idea for mine but idk because i havent even started running coal to my plants yet or even placed a single smelter
also should i skip over turbofuel in favor of rocketfuel or just do turbofuel for now
Mine looks sick from my hub
basic fuel straight into nuclear like a real winner
I lowkey JUST moved to the desert from my plains spawn lol
😭
Why 😭 😭 😭
was focused on saving all the kittens and puppies like a true pioneer

that's good, then you can be a true pioneer AND a real winner if you play your cards right
lots more flat space for easy foundations and tons of pure iron, coal, copper n such
yea
speaking of nuclear, that's my next major power production
WOW the game just crashed for the first time in 665 hours. I guess it really did not like my 20 GW solid biofuel plant :(
Anyone want to get in a call and just talk about the game?
Made it all pure to make it half bareable and let me scale factories even more
but first i have to setup my first two megafactories, 1 for radio control units and supercomputers
and the 2nd is filters
Does anyone build a coal plant at the water hole area in grassy plains
Rocket fuel will create nearly 2x the power of turbo but it depends if you want to go that extra step of making it
am I cooked? nearest quartz is almost 2 km away
No, trucks and trains are friends
i dont have trains :/ didnt even know they were in the game
im only at phase two working on advanced steel
You should have trucks though
i do
Just set up mines in the quartz area and then give it two truck stations, one to unload coal for fuel to both stations and the. Another to load the quartz ore. Then move the ore to a place where you have bigger flat land and then build out quartz processing
Assuming the quartz sources are in difficult places because most of them are
but i havent even started making my factory yet for other stuff so I will focus on that first
Building a highway/train track system will be very needed so you might as well get to it. Personally I like to build roads on bottom, four foundations wide for two-way traffic and then when I’m further along I’ll do trains above it
my 2 nearest ones are actually really easy to get to i just checked scim, its literally a drive across the deser
i will first re-automate steel plates and concrete
and unlocking it
Which desert?
north east, the dune one
found it to probably be the best location with all the resource nodes being so close and pure for the most of them, and i dont mind making a long conveyor here and there
Any recommendations for planning tools suitable for mobile? I play on console and wanna be able to plan on mobile
I don't think there's great options, but https://www.satisfactorytools.com/1.0/production does work on mobile
I think any planner/solver/calculator's gonna struggle on such a small screen, though
Hmm maybe I'll have to suck it up and just use the laptop as well lol
Dune desert people say is best for building a centralized mega factory. But I’m personally not a fan of that system because the game requires logistics anyway, and I find it’s easier to build factories by part or source type so that I still have room for expansion
maybe I should slopcode a mobile planner instead of using my extra claude quota to build HMF factories
Is it worth trying to min max factories early on? I just got to phase 2 and I'm an optimization autist and I find as stuff unlock I keep rebuilding. Starting to think maybe I just not care about early stuff so I can get to a point where I can build without the fear of having to reconstruct if that makes any sense
I’m personally in grassy plains. On the coast there’s a 3 pure iron node, 1 pure copper and 1 pure limestone and it’s near coal so it’s quick to power. Right now I’m still only smelting and once I get coal going I will be starting my highway so that I can build a basic iron materials plant at the base of the grassy plains near the cliffs and big waterfall
Also it’s an excellent caterium area for electronics
Nah just focus on research and exploration. You'll be able to optimize harder if you play the game for a bit before you get derailed overthinking the early stuff
I had a feeling that was going to be the case. Thanks for confirmation
I personally strongly recommend against ever re-building. Make whatever factory needs to be made right now, and make it as perfect/efficient/optimized as you want, but then leave it there forever. Whenever you need more of that material, just build more (generally right inside the new factory which needs it, as an intermediate product)
1.2 update is going to be your jam.
Yeah I agree. Trying to get scanning for hard drives unlocked so I can get more alternative recipes so I can maximize
The problem with rebuilding is that you spend so much time just getting yourself up to the same level of production you already had; I've seen it often lead to burnout
I'm also kind of skirting around my usual recommendation of a build strategy called "Independency" -- https://satisfactory.wiki.gg/wiki/Tutorial:Independency
(basically: factories are totally isolated from each other, go from ore->product, and only ever "output" to your own personal build-gun-use storage)
yeah I'm not anti-rebuild if it's just because you enjoy it but I think a lot of people do it too much/too early when they'd be better off unlocking stuff and letting it run "imperfectly"
and if you feel compelled to do a rebuild, build the replacement first before you disconnect/tear down the old one
So would adding options for machine breakdowns or even fires be some challenge options players might find interesting?
no
I think some form of upkeep could maybe be interesting. Something I have to interact with stuff manually and one by one would be a tedious chore
I will direct you to this
A official video about what they are NOT adding
the reason factorio or DSP or other games can get away with machines entering a broken state is because they also have a feature that automates repairs
Hello all, I’m installing satisfactory as we speak, never played it but watched a lot of YouTube on it.
As a first play through I’m thinking of making a custom game and changing only cost multiplier of the space elevator by 2 or 5
Would this be a terrible idea or just making it that much more fun to automate everything
Personally i say walk before you run
It's already going to be a 200+ hr save for your first time. I'm not sure I'd use a multiplier while you're learning
Does anybody else underclock their generators to maximize fuel efficiency? I only realized I should be doing that today lol
Just the Space Elevator one? 5 is a decent place to start tbh. Just don't touch the "all things cost more" or the power one.
Clock speed of generators doesn't affect fuel efficiency at all.
It does...
It does not.
What are doing to do with the locomotives?
Yes it does. Look at how much fuel is used per minute when underclocking.
Fuels havr a stat MJ value that does not change at all.
Changing the clock speed of generators changes the amount of fuel used per minute
However, that's not necessarily considered the fuel efficiency, just the usage
Then how does it give a constant value for burning fuel?
Underclocking just means it takes you more machines to burn the same fuel.
using less fuel would be more efficient...
What is the best alternative for power?
Overclocking is less machines to burn the same fuel.
In both cases the same amount of fuel is burned and the same amount of MW is produced.
It's just a matter of how you want to split it, really
They changed this prior to 1.0 specifically to making generators ignore the normal consumption rules associated with clock speed.
Fuel efficiency is a constant per generator.
Clock speed is just how many machines you need.
So I'm not saving any fuel by underclocking?
None at all.
Then why does it say the value of fuel used per minute changes?
Yes was just thinking the space elevator one 🙂
Specific to generators.
Underclocking other machines does save power.
Generators burn fuel based on consumption rate. My understanding is the static x/min value is their potential.
Not to be a bit of a nerd but 200hours isn’t going to take me very long to do haha
Because Fuel per MW is constant.
So if you underclock the machine to make less MW, the Fuel consumption goes down to keep the Fuel : MW ratio constant.
If you overclock it to make more MW, Fuel goes up exactly the same to keep Fuel : MW constant.
yeah more just a warning because it's going to slow down your progression which might not be super interesting while you're in learning mode
I have twice the amount of generators I need. My max cons is 180, my potential is 360.
My generators say they consume 4/min which is 1 per 15 seconds. Upon looking and counting, they were around 1 per 30ish seconds
20 Fuel/min = 250 MW
1 Fuel = 12.5 MW
50 Fuel/min = 625 MW
1 Fuel = 12.5 MW
10/min = 125 MW
1 Fuel = 12.5 MW
Interesting. Seems odd to me that the value wouldn't change to reflect the real time value of what it based on what's attached to a generator then
You talking about the new thing in the UI that adds all the burn rates?
I think it's just to show what their potential is. Plus, overstocked fuel and dumping it in crates and processed > loaded in saves loads of time doing trips that's how I do it at least
The new UI thing just shows base burn rates and mainly exists to show you what the generator can actually use (lot of people didn't know you can burn Coke in the Coal Gen).
I personally think that information should be in the Codex on the generator pages, and allow you to shift the clock speed like you can on recipe pages.
Same way the smelter shows 30 ore per min, but might not use it depending on either supply or demand. Potential.
But this is the world we have 🤷♂️
when did they add the doggo and confusing creature statues 🤔
Fair point for sure, il ponder on it. My concern was beat it “to fast” and have to New game.
Nothing wrong with that but also want to saver that first play though.
Things to think about 🙂
Is 27 GW enough solid biofuel power or should I get more?
I'd say double it at least
I'd genuinely recommend go with 5x if you were looking at it.
because you’re lowering the usage per minute by changing the clock speed I think
Expanding the time interval where the machine consumes fuel
lol these questions really are making me stay away from those crazy game settings
is solid biofuel really the only viable power source in *5?
I'm playing with default settings, not increased power :D
correction, these questions really are making me stay away FROM YOU 😳
anyone know what this ping is everytime I click my left mouse button?
your alt button is stuck, i've had this bug upon startup
try pressing alt once maybe
Is it worth it to build a factory that is maximized for mark 3 miners and mark 6 belts, even if you only have mark 1 miners and mark 2 belts?
also, what are some like things I should try an accomplish? I dont even know if im in early game still to be completely honest, Im jusy playing the game
to avoid having to rebuild in the later part
240 heavy modular frames/minute
that sounds a bit intense lmao
No. Premature optimization is generally a way to create extra work for yourself twice in this game. However, you certainly can do this if you want to and it will still create a functional factory.
no not that early, futureproofing is really hard unless you have 1000+hrs an is rushing mk6 on your 7th playthrough
you can just upgrade the miner and shunt the excess ore elsewhere
no, since you still dont have a lot of alt recipes to make things more efficient
Happens when you alt-tab instead of tab-alting.
so you'll be rebuilding it anyway most likely
i am on my like 3rd playthrough, i was just wondering
Don't have mk6 belt. Will rebuild everything. 😁
though I will say that running MK3 drills onto MK4 belts is the same belt-wise as having overclocked MK3 drills, MK6 belts, and overclocked everything else
but you'll need more trains/trucks/drones to handle that
You'll probably be better off just buidling a new factory for the faster miners and faster belts vs trying to upgrade ones you already built.
Im already halfway done with my futureproofed factory, so i guess im just gonna do it lol
really just flow with the curve, first time I automated 1.5 fused modular frame/min felt like an accomplishment
I think I have to mess with the whole math aspect of this game
I gotta let my inner nerd out
I havent really tried to optimise things, i've just put stuff togteher to make it automatic
whatever makes your brain milk that dopamin is a valid gameplay
Why are my tractor paths curving while I'm going in a straight line
makes sense lol
I can't send ss of it it won't let me
Alright I think that's enough solid biofuel for now: #screenshots message
It like starts twisting if I go to far
hey this ADA think she funny until i blow this planet up killing the rest of humanity if there is any
But then you get max depot upload speed :D
It won't let you send screenshots in #screenshots ? Odd.
How about my hrs 19,681 hrs on record
How the hell would that even look like 😭
240/minute
sent
Troubleshooting for Exp stuff is discussed in #satisfactory-experimental 👍
Yes.
do the harmful or whatever you wanna call it animals respawn
Satisfactory
They respawn if there's not enough powered buildings nearby*
(I don't actually know the specific requirements, but last I looked that was what it was based on)
ok thank you
I'm pretty sure its based solely on buildables
these spitters are pmo rn and all i want is this coal and to now exterminate all living life in a kilometer radius
Nukes
The game feels kinda chaotic starting out with new things always being unlocked. Do things become easier the further you progress? (I don't mean grinding just, the flow of things)
It's all at your own pace
With nuclear stuff
https://www.satisfactorytools.com/1.0/production holy fuck 😭
Yes play the game at your own pace don't rush it
Aw it disappeared
And also sometimes projects takes months or even a year or 2 or 3 to finish
Basically it was like 6k smelters
You linked the default page
I bow for i only have a measly 3500
respawn mechanics is wonky, my made up belief is if a building changes the OST from exploration to factory, it'll stop respawning. But it could be wrong
I guess what I mean is, do you start to naturally develop systems for things (as things unlock and you gain experience) or is this game somewhat dependant on using external tools like calculators to optimize?
i often usse Satisfactory tools when doing big projects
and yes somedays are even placing machines and figuring it out and somedays are doing the belt and pipe work
external tools are 100% optional. They help with planning
like i am thinking i am making 200 or 300 late space elevator project
@abstract heron so do you like wake up, put in a full 8 hour shift of satisfactory every day? Because since the game launched in 2019 that's what you'd need to do to reach that
Is there anything that unlocks in the game that let's you evaluate what your throughput is? With the stuff I have set up, I know how much end product my potential is, but I wonder how much x per min of excess is generating without having to go through and add up the x per min of each machine
:))
Since june 8th 2020 and i do play the game much but on days i have other things somedays i do other things and i take out summer 1 it gets to hot and 2 IRL heat and 3 all Depends when i wake up
you will unlock a throughput monitor that you can but anywhere on a straightish portion of a belt
Impressive, I bought the game around the same time do you do it for content or just the love of the game?
I also test every stage of production at 12am or 2am when your half awake you going to think why is this not working and then think OH crap i screwed up on belts or not working
Just love the game currently building 200-300 nuclear pasta or even 400 nuclear pasta IDK yet still heavy WIP
How many times have you "saved the day"?
0 due to working on nuclear pasta
Ive only done it about 5
have the kittens & puppies to prove it!
Currently making a mess of belts for item going up area
getting through the endgoal actually is pretty simple, its if you try building sustained automation for some form of sustained delivery goal, it takes a bunch of work
but i over build things and wanting like 200-400 nuclear pasta per minute or how ever much i want
just used the top of a miner mk1 as a place to end a conveyor because the cliff was too high and steep
Full MK.4 belt would go hard
and then put it to the top of the cliff
mk5
Is that even possible???
mk3 seems easier to make quicker* than mk2 am i crazy
319hrs or 318hrs to 20khrs
Slightly crazy.
? I have 3,500 hrs
i mean its only 3 factory machines excluding the miner vs like 10 for 5/m of reinforced iron
Ok so "quicker" by your definition is "takes less space"?
in a way but I also thought steel is just easier to produce hence making it easier to mass produce much more at a time
man im just typing random shi
me 19,681 hrs on record
idk? the love of the game?
try phase 5 warp drives
Love = Random?
btw not at 1min
depends on what love we talking about
maybe 500 per minute
It really shouldn't depend at all. But I can see we are just different people 🤷♂️
Bro the mega hogs are the worst
sometimes love is random such as hobbies you can randomly say i love this now or i love this now, but sometimes you actually pick it out like picking out grapes from a bunch
The Alphas? Or do you mean the Nuclear Cliff Hogs?
both
The ones that throw boulders up to impossible distances
So now you're down to Cliff vs. Nuclear Cliff 😄
i love having a great movie or show on when i play and make factorys
Well I haven’t seen any that throw nuclear ones yet but thanks for telling me it gets worse
The have a spicy green glow.
I once had one of them green spiders jump at me from the red forest, fall all the way down outside the red forest, still live and then jump at me from the ground while I was in a jet pack
Yeah, stingers don't have fall damage if they jump iirc.
Literally insane fall too. Like you know how there’s that hard drive that sits on the cliffs of red forest just above the quartz site in between grassy plain and the rocky desert?
Mf fell from THAT
It was my mistake wanting a hard drive and thinking I could just get that one without going into red forest when I wasn’t ready
Turbo Ammo go brrrrr.
My butt was using a rebar gun
Stun Rebar + Basher is legit combat easy mode.
Interesting. I prefer my long range ammo due to BOULDER THROWING HOG
They won't throw it if you're in the ground though. 😉
Stun, reload, switch, 4 whacks, switch back
Repeat until dead.
Interesting. I usually only play with regular rebar or the rifle once I get that
Turbo Ammo go brrrrrrr.
note they can do return to sender with
I survive most of my encounters… most
Also, GAS NOBS are insane against every non-stinger enemy.
I think there’s one area near the swamp with three boulder throwing hogs, that was my final boss battle
a nobelisk launcher would go HARD
yep if you outside their aggo you can gas them out
A grenade launcher would be peak. They can put it in the next update
Or, if you have the Mask, drop a GasNob and stand in it.
They want to fight you they take double damage.
yea grenade launcher but with nobelisks
setting up water pipes for coal power is so annoying sometimes
and sometimes its so satisfying
So much simpler if you overclock the water.
does that improve headroom or whatever its called as well?
I have way more than enough crystals for me atm
Headlift, no.
just more water
If liquid go up, need pump.
If no go up, no need pump.
also you can make water towers
what do you mean by water towers?
The "standard" setup is 3:8
But if you just overclock Extractors to 1.5, you're at 1:4
There is water storage buildings in this game
wait so if i pump hard up high.. it flows down easy I presume?
so you can do pump it up by one pump and add a fliud storage you won't need pumps intill you go over the water tower
True "water tower" tech isn't possible in Phase 2 when you're setting up coal as it requires valves. Which are Phase 3.
oh ok i see
I need to build a coal plant but I’m not good at making my crap pretty
im honestly trying to get my second base setup and i just got the noti that my old home blew a fune
fuse
Actually in this save I haven’t built anything yet. Still using portable miners
Headlift is preserved.
So if you pump it up 40m then drop it down, you can always get it back to 40m without additional pumps.
Which is what "water towers" abuse when you have access to valves in Phase 3.
good to know
You have the mk3 belt yet?
yes, BUT i havent gotten to the point of setting up my factory and only have mk2 available rn
i probably will prioritize steel
I would say make a minimal coal plant to get Beam production going.
since I have three coal nodes right next door
coal power then steel
normal but still 3
Unlock mk3 belt and mk2 miner, then rebuild at max capacity.
when is mk2 miner unlocked?
wait really?
Which biome did you start in?
In your current Phase.
the "easy one" or the plains I think? but I have since moved to the dunes desert
what is the best biome? Should I stick to the "easy" biome or go somewhere else once Im situated
Rocky Desert.
@raven grotto water is down the cliff right?
if I want or theres a lake to the left of the picture not too far away requiring less headlift
Pro tip: build your plant down the cliff.
Because you know what doesn't require pumps or headlift at all? Coal on conveyor lifts. 😉
I should 100% move there? Im on the last step of tier 3
As Obi-Wan once said:
You should do what you feel is right, of course.
already made my coal conveyor :D
all mk2 will upgrade to mk3 when unlocked
because its a pure node
dunno if it's really worth it, it depends on your playstyle but later game factory location isn't really relevant anymore, rarer ressources location will make you build crossbiomes logistics anyway
good question... havent even unlocked them yet lol
Worth is subjective to the individual.
I rarely use the BP system.
this whole game is subjective, just like any logistics game and thats what makes me love them
im just coming back to the game after a good while, so ima need some ellaboration xD
@raven grotto are you using the 4 normals for power?
I use bps almost exclusively for aesthetics. Some people have crazy outputs and use BPs to build 8 machines at once. Really depends
4 normal coal nodes?
might use them for steel but that pure line is enough for all 4 plants without any power crystals
I use BPs exclusively for non-aesthetics because I like my "for looks" stuff to be unique 😂
The 4 normals are good for steel because of how many other coal nodes in DD are immediately next to water... 😭
oh you saying i should put the plants next to the water huh
well if you're going to use trucks or trains to bring in rare ressources you could as well build in a less ressource-plenty biome and bring other stuff with trains just as easily
oh it is unique, but the build process is repetitive and you can bp a wall section for instance
okay makes sense
it's probably more work to be lazy on this point
i wouldnt think so, i mean its just a few pipeline pumps
And you're going to remake it when you have the mk2 miner anyways.
what is most helpful in the tier 4 section of the hub upgrades? Im leaning towards mk. 3 upgadres
although, I legit havent touched anything mk. 2 yet
are mk2 dimensions different I assume thats the main reason i would have to
and rates obv but
The most helpful tip I can give you is "never do milestones in order."
Miners are all the same height/width. Just the model changes and the output potential doubles.
ive skipped blueprints every time it will be my last milestone of phase 1
oh ok
I meant that I have mk. 2 unlocked, just havent used them.
Blueprints are Phase 2.
Steel is Phase 2.
Aye.
wait wdym steel and blueprints are phase two? I have them in phase 1 no?
Someone tried to legit argue this yesterday and it was funny.
lol
Steel is Phase 2.
Oil is Phase 3.
Aluminium is Phase 4.
OIL? 🦅
What are blueprints
Yesterday guy:
Are you dumb?
let me fill your brain with some knowledge real quick
Manufacturers are unlocked in Phase 2
😂
Trying to fill my brain with knowledge and doesn't even know his Phases. 😂
last words on many a piper's tombstones
Oil and Bacon are both in the game. 😁
man do i love me some bacon too
I collect all of it because I will make a MURICA building with just endless Crude Oil barrels and bacon on belts running by 😁
im assuming coal should be used over biomass if I have the option?
Coal being something you don't have to go back and refill is a large boon, yes.
You know what I wish there was in this game like a crossbow or something that shoots out the novelists to make land clearing even faster
that exists
Explosive rebar
cluster nobelisk
Does it and no I'm not talking explosive rebar I'm talking like something that's able to shoot them a lot faster than that and isn't super expensive
also who cares about headlift when if you start pretty much even and theres a dip you can use stackable supports
Magazine size or weapon research tree mods
I'm going to be very excited about your future pipe builds 🙂
If you literally just want to clear the land now, then get auto-collect foliage. It has a setting to also clear trees. 🙂
Yeah something like that would be cool like you're able to research weapons and down by the later ends you get like a nobelisk crossbow
Multiple places.
Top left has 4 nodes, flat land, and water all right there for the power making.
I was just googling some things, why would the dune desert not be as good if not better? It has more resources and is still flat
There's a spot at negative -728 1655 where there's like four coal nodes one is under a rock though and they're not that far from a huge lake and a good thing about it is there's a pure iron node right next to that lake
So you can also make steel
appreciate it!
It's a decent spot I use it for making heavy modular frames which you're not going to get to till tier 4
The biome with the highest terrain variance on the map is FLAT?
Is that spot better for steel than power?
lmao I guess google ai lied to me
I don't really think so the only reason it's good for me for steel is because I have the pure iron ingots which makes it to where that I can use the water that's below there to make an butt load more iron per ore and then I can turn those into more steel with another recipe
LLM being a shit source of information that no one should trust?
If only 99% of the entire planet agreed on that.
Oh wait...
But I don't think you can even use that recipe until you reached level four and you're able to use the refinery
I guess you could do both, one of the coal mines for power and then steel with the other
I agree with you
you* not the ai
lmaoo
But no tree? No tree!
I kind of just set up power wherever is convenient. Once I get to oil power if I decide I'd rather switch a coal plot to steel production there's kind of no downside to doing so.
Yeah there is four of them but one of them is under a rock so you have to be able to blow it up which yeah it's pretty easy to get boom in this hame
Game
I like boom
So you could have two making steel to making power
And I just figured out why my rubber factory has not been working it's because I'm an idiot
I’m in grassy plain and I am trying to hard drive hunt right now but I want to get power going before I really set anything up. I still am not using anything permanent and I am in phase 3
That's good. imo early phases are all about doing just enough, producing juuuuuuust enough to move into higher tiers. Building at scale is largely pointless early on, unless you're doing it purely for fun (which is always valid).
Well it's honestly good to kind of get up to tier 4 and then make a base cuz I was halfway through tier 3 like I was just about to unlock advanced steel production and I made a humongous 50x50 and I really really don't want to move because it's going to be so annoying to rebuild all the factory I'm also just horrible at making nice looking factories so I was just wait a little bit
All I got is some portable miners going on caterium, coal, quartz, iron copper limestone. Probably should find sulfur but I think it’s far asf from me
Satisfactory 1.2 hype!!!
If you find a catarium node immediately automate quick wire you will need so much of that at the point that I'm at for some of the alternate recipes you'll regret not having automated the hell out of it early game
I am trying to unlock some alts before I build more permanently. I want to get wet caterium and then recipes to get rid of screws
eh, just build until you unlock everything at the end - then make your perfect factories
Honestly screws aren't that big of a problem once you get the steel screws you know those ones you can turn the steel beams into like 52 screws I use that one and like do I have two pure nodes of each making steel to constantly fund my screw addiction yes do I have to worry about screws anytime soon no
"You're saying I can produce more screws per second?"
No Neo. I'm saying, when you master Satisfactory - you won't need screws.
There’s an open caterium mine on the coast almost near the island they decided to basically tune out of anything. Not blocked by any blow up rocks or anything. A few hundred meters is another caterium node that does need the boom though. So I’m planning to get them built up using the wet recipe to maximize production
Actually yeah that's one of the pretty good ones cuz I don't know if you know but not very far from that mind you my entire map is completely covered in radar which I suggest you unlock the second you can but right next to that like just up the lake a little bit is 4 pure iron notes to pure limestone and a pure sulfur
What would be cool if we had animated text like how advertisement be Showing different text.
Apparently you can’t send pictures in here…
Why is it between project part number four and project part number five does the difficulty go from 3 to 15 like why
It’s literally the bottom left corner of map where I’m at on the coast
it's basically the only channel you cant
you can post images in literally every other channel xD
are there binoculars or zoom without using camera function
I don't think so I tend to just use the camera function all the time anyways clears up my screen
It also looks like my 50,000 wires that have been sitting in large crates for God knows how long have also officially finally ran out that only took almost two weeks
I was just telling Oreo where on the map is my starting location
That 10/minute motors was surprisingly good enough until I went to rocket fuel. Now it's laughably small. I quadrupled it. Hopefully that's enough motors? 40
Also quintupled copper sheets but probably going to have to 10x them instead
finally got blade runners
its never enough, make more, sink what you dont use, then you need to make the sink points graph higher, so make more
didnt realise the MAM was that important
its probably teh most important thing
I have a feeling i already know the answer to this, you know how there is a fast remove by holding control, there isnt a fast place for things like platforms/walls?
tap R for various zoop modes
Press R to zoop
ooop
*zooop
ooooh, i love this game
foudnations and walls have multiple zoop modes too
also, if you hold E while building an item, it'll bring up a radial menu of similar items
it helps compact your hot bars
What tier do I unlock the hover pack at
7
7 the
6-7
woah, can i do a grid, or instead of row at a time, do like a full floor or something
Shush
im so glad i learned about zoop building
Zoop is very nice
very efficent
how we all doing
good hbu
Good, I need to get back into the game and work on my cooling tower nuclear power plant mega project.
today was the last day of school so im grinding rn :D
The cooling tower is finished but im trying to figure out what I want all my external buildings to look like.
BFS reference
Wait do you mean zoop building
I still don't know what the point of water wells is
Post pics
Are people actually packaging water and sending it around?
I have to wait an hour or so for the fluid buffers or my power graph will be extremely cringe
press r when laying foundation or building walls is it i think (after already placing one and getting your grid going) then you can build up to like 10 in a row
very rough but i believe to be right explanation
yo, can someone who has done large nuclear answer the #math-and-meta question?
Done
Oh ok yeah I’ve done that
ty
I meant of the plant not the electricity usage lol
how much energy does a pipeline pump use
4 MW
!wikisearch pump
Mk.1Mk.2
Pipeline Pumps are buildings used to increase Pipeline pressure (= apply head lift), allowing fluids to rise higher. They are directional, which is denoted with two arrows in their holograms and also on the structures themselves.
Pipeline Pumps do NOT increase fluid flow rate, and so in most...
Are you QUITE sure?
ty
praise the wiki, love the wiki
man same phrase different wording no matter the game lol
and my coal power plants are now functional
time to get this factory rollin
Wait why lol do you think it’s ugly
only bad thing is that my fuel and water already takes up almost 44 mw
Time to expand the coal plant I’m assuming you haven’t gotten to oil
nope, but first I want to get steel running for mk3 conveyors and mk2 miner
Train spiral but it’s ugly
corkscrew
How do I even build a corkscrew with a train dog
Also why do you need to change elevation? Just make sky train and lift everything up to it
Train elevator > Train spiral.
Wait there are elevators for trains now
@earnest condor come back explain yourself
im so stupid why have I always been making conveyor spaghetti when i could just have been using conveyor lifts
oml
um... do you know about walls?
If it makes you feel better I learned you can dismantle crash sites for parts today
who we asking
did you know you can have an infanitly long virtical conveyor?
what how when where and why?
I mean, that's kinda new
i mean i started like 4 days ago
conveyor holes
im already cooked i have 20hrs in it
For the infinitely long conveyor elevator you put a foundation with a conveyor hole and then the conveyor elevator at the very bottom make sure it is perfectly aligned look up at the hole and as long as it's placed from the floor you can snap it into that spot
laughs in 5000 hrs of afk time
20 hrs of non afk time
yah that's ugly
I'd like 140 hours in like 50 of that is just AFK waiting for things to be built
yeah, thats a thing
but it works, nly push/pull trians this palythrough 🙂
why make faster factory when you can afk
afking is boring
Are you me?
cant afk with no factory 🫠
Why afk when you can actually play the game?
have you never played an afk game?
this game is very much afk heavy at some points and I dont even need to do it yet
appears that way
in the start of the game you can throw down 20 personal drills and hand load into containers to speed up the start too
No you’re better than me I can’t make pretty roads yet
I dont have much playtime tbh, only at 750 hours
No. That is a choice.
There is always something you could be doing.
Game actually gets better when you enforce no-afk rules.
go explore, get hard drives, plan new factories, build new factories - all things you can do to help progress while you wait for parts
Imagine building roads...
REN AND REN ARE TYPING...
This is my first time building roads lol
That’s less than me…. Tbh I had this game when it was in pilot and I just got back into it this week. So last I played was in 0
LMAO
I must type when Ren is just so it’s funny
I think Ive played U3 U4, U7, U8, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2
I wish blueprints were quicker in the tier tree though
19,683 hrs on record do i need to keep playing?
I agree with you on that fully
i been playing u3 u4 u5 u6 u7 u8 1.0 1.1 and 1.2
Hard disagree.
I think I got this game around u5 I can’t remember honestly
The point hes tryign ot make is it's easier to plan trucks with the natural roads
Building roads is good because tractor pathing is annoying and so it makes it that speed is consistent and less likely to crash with opposing trucks
i imagine building roads and here is what i see https://discord.com/channels/370472939054956546/553550313533997057
Um. None of this is true 😭
record thigns slower - solves almost all issues
also you won't even ahve that argument with 1.2
But then truck is slower
Yeah, I know theres the natural roads. I just want to build highways.
belts are best, sorry it's just true
In detail, describe why speed matters at all when the only metric builds care about is throughput?
trucks and trains bring the game to life
they also crash your game
all you care about throughput, if you need more throughput on a truck path, add more truck
Natural roads don’t exist in necessarily all areas of the map where you may want something
you can easily belt every resource in the game to where ever you want in a few hours
I personally hate mega spaghetti, it’s not realistic to me
part of the planning of factories. Much like you probably don't want 2 locations through terrible terrain if you want ot use trains
Natural roads do exist in almost 90% of all areas.
So...
Sure but that doesn’t mean that’s where the nodes are for raw resources
I can’t be the only one arguing for roads this is ridiculous lol
The only completely inaccessible area I can think of is the plateau next to the DD.
there are so many options of getting things from A to B throug hvarious terrains - you're never locked into that
if you're going through alllll the effort of making roads you might as well use trains at that point
like the benefit of trucks is they take almost no infrastructure
New challenge: watch your Drone flight path and build a sky tunnel around it.
LMFAO
I did that with the Manta, could take that as an extra challenge
We also have unlimited resources too
are my hrs good ren
Could be interesting to make skylight checkpoints they fly through tbh.
amazing
it was honestly pretty tough with just the manta without making the tunnel HUGE
I'd need to figure out a better way to trace the paths
What is with rails in their deep fascination of going under the mesh
🤔
buildings*
Buildings and items are VERYYYYYYYYYYYY different.
i knew what I ment but i didnt say what i meant to say
Life skill to work towards tbh 💛
Having those 2 things align is "peak" communication.
On god.
Bruh.
sorry but that second sentance just sounded like ai 😭
Correct grammar being attributed to LLMs only is the current state of the education system's failure across the board... 😭
Sevrahn is obviously a bot, there’s no other way to explain it
see this guy gets it
No.
I gut e gutta tak lak dis noo
I’m being sarcastic lol
best thing to say when the joke doesnt land right
wait, let me melt my brain first
meltmaxxing all over again
You can try building the nuclear power plant that’ll do it
Yeah, that is the big benefit to them. The only reason Im building highways in my save is because i want to. Appeals more to my brain, and it looks better to me. I dont care if at that point I should just use trains. I want trains to only go between factories. Regardless, its up to what you want to what you value, theres no right or wrong way to do things.
HAHAHAHAHHAAHA no
First, there was the generation obsessed with waxing everything.
Now, there is a generation obsessed with maxing everything..
just like everything else :D
It kinda is though Im gonna be honest
Sevrahn just used two periods consecutively 😱 the AI model is breaking!
everything in this game is only as hard as you decide it to be
What are you without your difficult thinking?
what's hard about this? https://www.satisfactorytools.com/1.0/production?share=NrTeZkNrr8JMhUQG5XtV
everyone want's a different level of challenge
I'm not even ready to start nuclear pasta yet and I'm already using up to 60 GW of power 😭
like building 50 ur rods pm in multiple circles #design-and-architecture message
honestly I could simplify that link further with a few alts
My save is set to use around 320GW in the end
FAHHHH i messed it up
That's crazy
i meant to say
dramatically reduce resource costs too
If thinking something is difficult no matter what, what are you without that thought?
Manual labor
I’m actually just super early in the game lmao
I figured, that is how the start of the game is
pretty much
I unlocked coal power today, I don’t build anything until I build power. I know biofuel is better now but I still hate it
i tried asking if i could enslave whale dudes but no answer
I unlocked coal power n never looked back
only use of bio in my eyes are tractors and chainsaws
Run Tractors on coal.
you can run them on coal?
sprint around holding e for 7 minutes, turn it to solid biofuel and you're done. Whats the issue?
Yeah I only use it for chain saws
Someone isn't coal-maxing. 😉😏
I like automating power, sort of how I like to automate other things
Look at Rockefeller over here
You know you can do the smart thing and make a turbo feel farming your cars off turbo fuel I'm screwing with you dude I'm pretty sure you don't even have oil unlocked yet
yeah but that's a whole phase of handcrafting, which is at least 10x more work. Probably a lot more
and DEFINITELY not automating
and if I go afk for some reason it no matter what runs
yea no im only on phase two and JUST starting to build my factory
But its workmaxing
The sound of the fuse being blown still haunts me
Is this peak historical figure reference-maxing?
I mean hey I'm pretty sure phase 3 you get coal and coal the best you're going to get until that for a while so yeah I would say just power your cars off coal
Phase 2 is coal.
Wait you can use kohls cash?
dude i saw someone say on a post somewhere it took them 1500 hours to finish their first playthrough... i now see why
Coal power is generally something you want to do ASAP once you have access to it.
over under half it was afk though
I hate autocorrect
a lot of internet slang is pretty dumb but I'm going to be very happy when the maxxing phase ends
This is the first thing we’ve agreed on tonight I feel like lol
dude i probably have a bit of that where can i sign up
That's some unc-maxing right there ong frfr.
for cap real?
Cappest
Didn’t even get the slang right you know it’s unc maxxing
If brainrot is your power, what are you without it?
minmaxxing never ends
too hip to get it right
Brainrot is automated by TikTok
It isn't a power though. It is a distraction.
Oh, for sure. I generally hate all the internet slang. Just... Use words. I basically live on the internet and still dont even know what all of it means.
well minmaxing was a thing way before maxxing was a thing though id say fs thats different
I don't mind most of it, I just don't find the maxxing thing particularly creative
On god
just seems lazy
like trying to squeeze every last % out (i hope im thinking of the right thing here)
Not hip enough, that's why they both hurt constantly. 😏
I guess, in a way, all maxxing is minmaxxing
nah, that's from the surgeries
At least 6 7 died my 33 year old brother was saying it constantly, that was cringe
oh trust me it hasnt
Younglings...
yeah
but who cares schools over
Oh, it's a spike from 13 GW up to 40 GW for my pasta. That is actually not as bad as I expected.
Bro gif don’t even work right in here, I should protest
fastest way to kill a dumb trend is to have older people spam it everywhere. Your bro is doing god's work
I can’t wait to automate Italian food, it’s my goal in life
embed failure lol
they dont allow pictures in this chat
Im_old.gif
with great power comes great responsibility, and the power to make people cringe is something I use very irresponsibly :3c
or kids like 10 or below that shit pmo so much too like quit spamming your only emote brother
They havent sunk enough resources to buy new ones
gotta learn somehow ig
They just unlocked the awesome sink give them time
idk why you would join a discord and ask for help 10 mins into this game
Exactly
I built a 36 GWh backup power storage array in the anticipation that I would get destroyed by slooped sharded accelerators. But no.
do you guys make sectors at your bases or no
thinking about making a steel only section
The spaghetti MUST grow
Some people are just that clueless. I work in customer service so i see things like that all the time.
i need to start producing concrete again before i run out lol
why would you stop producing it in the first place?
I dont even have a base right now, I wiped a old save that got ended up becoming too much spaghetti to save. Got a ton of crates Im just pulling resources from to get going again
Fuse blown probably lol, gotta speedrun to coal
I can get to coal in about 4 hours
Yeah I know coal is easy lol but they’re too new to know, that’s why you join the discord I guess
mistakes are how you learn
well have fun because I personally love placing foundation and growing its just so smooth
Like the Devs learning not to make the HUB a unique Item
I played a multiplayer save at one point, some guy took the hub and hid with it, had to use scim to get it back
I learned back in I think U7 when I had too much conveyer and it tanked my computer. Gotta keep that ish buried inside buildings now. Gotta use trucks and trains to bring it in if it’s too far out
I both love trains and I'm too dumb for these things so can't make them look nice
Im going into my reset with a focus on building nice factories
people use to take the HUB and jump off a cliff
I need to do that same thing
That's after I beat this game at least once
Who needs enemies when you have friends like this
right now i think im going to build my first ever enclosed room of a factory , now of course its going to be quite small relatively as its just concrete with 4 constructers and like 2 storage for the hell of it
if you want to build a nice factory, use blueprints for everything, set up a grid pattern for your build, etc...
always ask yourself this, is your factory just a box on top of your mess, or is it a building with stuff in it
Yeah it’s just blueprints are a pain in the butt to unlock and then they are limited in size so you have to be strategic
Yup, Im working on infrastructure rn though
i want the building one but we'll see how it goes
are roofs just foundations on top of walls
No
i mostly use blueprints for repetitive things like pasting down splitters
There are actual roofs in the game, you can get them in the awesome shop
agh i need stuff to do stuff but to do that stuff i need stuff
and for that stuff i need m0ore stuff
its a never ending loop!
You can make your own roof, I personally like asphalt roofs
if you want to free play end game just start with that, the game lets you
no no, the progression part is definitely the best part
I always have issues with how I do multipul inputs. Do you clip them down or up? do you make the same pattern every time?
its just that my mind keeps thinking I need to do this and this and this and the list continously grows with no end
beating the game gets borring after the first 10 times
Ive got a while left on my first time so
20h in and about halfway through phase 2 milestone wise
then yes, I suggset rushing the tech tree and then making your "nice" factory
tech tree in the MAM I assume
no i mean genral
ah ok
like go unlock everything first
b/c a mark 1 miner base isnt the same as a mark 3 miner base
and as much as people like to say they plan for more, you dont
Wow the cyber wagon handles terribly. I can't believe Elon would do this to us.
I like to do this #screenshots message
Encashed industrail pipes i mean are done
above or below works, below tends to be more aesthetic if you have the space in the floor to do it
Yah I do that too but it's ugly
I like having a single 4m floor below to hide everything
I also just sushi belt it and use smart splitters with an awesome sink at the end, but thats a lazy solution
my arch nemesis, istg
Theyre not even hard, I just somehow ended up having to make a shit ton
How aabout me making 200-300 or 400 nuclear pasta idk how much yet
like, per minute?
yes
impossible
MODS 😛
probably still impossible im ngl
depends what mods ig
its 144k copper ore/min to make ONLY the copper powder for nuclear pasta
Excuse me?
The very foundation of my entire world, mixed-item belting, that most people here say is horrible because "it always breaks when I try it" is LAZY?
I snorted the.copper powder
Im ngl, idk why I said that part. It does appear to be generally hard for people to grasp the idea of though. Ive never had issues with it the times Ive done it though
Hey, do you want to eat some cement with me?
I'll be over here grumble-maxing after that insult. 😭
feeding a heavy frame manufacturer with one belt is peak sushi
This is so true.
ren ignored me completely :<
I prefer having the cement as powder
Ooo! So you wanna snort some with me?
liquid cement, cement mixer, and foundation frame mod when? and maybe a crane so that big stuff can be built horizontally and then rotated?
i swear to god at some point i saw someone posting about smaller signs (labels, portrait, etc) working with GI but i cant seem to find it nor get them to work in game
yes!
loud snorting sounds UUUUUUGH that’s the good shit
finished my 10/m reinforced iron plate room (subject to change and increase by a lot over time)
RIP sucks. eventually I suggest making blueprints to pump it out from just iron ingots. So you don't even have to think about it. same for modular frames.
am i able to ask some questions here? or is there somewhere better?
- why ask to ask
- #1038092680493801533 is dedicated to that but nobody will mind if you ask here
nvm figured it out!!! r.AOGlobalDistanceField.MinMeshSDFRadius 10 yippee
if it' simple, here is fine
early on just go radhog jousting at a crash site, nab up all the turbo motors and computers and goodies, then sink those for hella tickets
I mean sink over flow stuff too
can get about 2/3s of the stuff in the shop just from what ISNT used in mam, which is like... idk 150 computers or something plus a bunch of HMFs
can i load balance two different items?
How do you guys manage storage early game (Tiers 3/4)? I just have a bunch of storage organizers by my HUB and wondering if I should start a depot.
i just let each independent factory keep on truckin' to a storage container with a dimensional depot on top of that, with excess to sink. even early
what are you even storing? and how many is "a bunch" ?
Not reliably without planning an overflow sink
just use smart splitters to over flow into a container
all it does is save space
is that worth it to you ?
i mean kinda
basically OCing anything but miners/extractors doesn't do anything but save space
would be nice having that free real estate
you can compact coal power plants very easily #1488544511071096892 message
and if you're making a mess of fuel gens, go nuclear. Literally 1/10th the generators
When building a 30GW power plant, going from 80+ generators down to 30ish is a helluva space saver
im currently in phase two and dont plan to leave for quite a bit, not in the picture rn lol
one day
but ill probably stick to my cpp then
not in the picutres?
why not?
like not the ones in the pictures you mean?
dont want to rush myself, want to get a nice base going and enjoy the ride to the end
i mean, completing the space elevator is just the tutorial 🙃
That was an example of how you can stack coal generators very easily to save space. 64 of them
i have 3 in a spot that i really cant put anything anywhere else and I also dont need anywhere near that much power at least for now
the milestones are very much a tutorial. Basically there to teach you the basics.
your needs change every tier so much it's .... 100x the work trying to make them work
I really thought 35/min radio control units was enough. So naive...
where dod you build it?
3 coal gens? that really won't last you. Each new machine type you unlock uses a LOT more power
imo find like 4 coal nodes next to water, make 32 gens, when you get mk3 belts, 64 gens
Does it help to have more than one locomotive on a train at once in this game or no
Okay I was wondering because I didn't notice it helping much on the hill that one of my train tracks is on and I was wondering if it's just faster and I'm not noticing it or what
pure coal i assume or normal
120 coal can fuel eight generators so I do believe his math is for a pure node
either works, overclock the nodes
Just finished 1000 smart plates for phase 2. Should I keep producing them (will I use them again later) or reconfigure the factory
Keep them their use for modular engines
from memory mk2 miners on a normal node can easily output 240 coal
You need 500 of them for the next phase
Keep producing, and if they're in the way move them elsewhere
It's my first factory, it's a mess and not optimized at all. I'll just load up a crate with them as I'm probably gonna move on from this spot. Will leave it be then
Mess and not optimized is PERFECTLY FINE AND NORMAL. Please do not worry.
ok good to know i think i might log off for tonight as ive been playing for over... 9... hours... with lik an hour off and do that tmr
thats normal, treat the milestones like a tutorial
There is more than enough resources for the most horrendous unoptimized mess to finish the game.
Looks like shite. All built on grass and wonky af. Just finished my coal factory though and it's chefs kiss
Perfectly symmetrical, perfectly aligned number I love it
Numbers*
almost an hour n half away from a full days worth on my save though 🔥
most people tend to rebuild everything after they have automated power set up. It changes everything
I did two rows of 4 coal generators for 2 mines... one row didn't fill with water at the same speed as the other (both using symmetrical manifolds)
#screenshots message this is my factory right now. Looks worse than yours, I guarantee it.
Don't quite understand how water splitting works. Is it not evenly distributed like conveyer splitters?
layout and headlift is important.
post overhead images in #math-and-meta if you want some help with it
makin me-a hungray chef!
It's near perfect symmetry with nearly no headlift at all
still layout is important. P for photomode to get over head images
it wastes so much energy and time trying to diagnose pipes w/o images
photomode will still help get the angle 🙂
Where do i put the image
#math-and-meta is prob most convenient
its unlikely a complicated problem
You know it's kind of like one of the problems about making adaptive control units is you need a hundred of them as it's the only make 2.5 a minute it's going to take forever to make them all so I'm going to just go watch YouTube
If i deconstruct my space station when it's loaded with things, are those things in it still when I rebuild?
2.5/minute is plenty to finish the game
probably? either that or it goes into your inventory
Well yes but this is not going to be permanent I'm going to tear this entire thing down and then I'm going to build a super large power factory down in the South which I've been able to do for some time and then I'm going to build a nice looking base and I'm actually not going to have some giant modular factory being a 50x50 sitting over a giant ocean wasting my time because it's more confusing than not
#satisfactory-memes message why have I never thought of this 😭
i just completed phase 3 on 6/min with 100x elevator cost; took about a day to make the delivery with that as the long pole
Another strat is to just make it a blueprint
Cage you can just plop down
But at that point idk why you dont just turn aggression off
it can be pretty helpful against big spiders 🙃
MFs love to jump from across the map >.>
Idk if I'm reading into it too much but dkd anyone else notice that the rail supports in the 1.2 announcement seem to be level? Could mean something
that can be done by snapping pillars to the underside of the rails after building them on foundation & removing the foundation
-# @obsidian zodiac June 2, aka July
is there a way to lock the curser in the middle of the screen when in satifactory?
Not in Vanilla.
Unreal Engine only locks it to the window.
what problem are you trying to solve where the solution would be cursor locking?
it just keeps moving and i want it to lock in the middle of screen and ive tried going from window to full to window full i usely play on window fullscreen
ah, the multi-monitor problem?
would using a controller be too cumbersome?
kinda cuz i have drift on my controller and sometimes it just moves left for no reason
Should still be locked to the game window.
So only issues would be some overlay or other window on top of the game window reacting to the cursor.
this is exactly why we need a Switch release
i dont think so bud
that's ok, I still love you even if you have bad takes on satisfactory-for-switch
doesnt the switch have less stuff then an xbox or a playstastion?
nintendo reserves the right to brick your console if they decide they don't like you
i spilled monster on my nintendo controller lol
that seems smart, I've met a lot of console players and most of them deserve it
-# I spilled cidre on my apple keyboard
me: ooh, shiny, buys shiny keyboard
also me, two weeks later: whoops
so now somewhere in a storage box is a very fancy usb hub
the only positive of a switch release of Satisfactory would be the possibility of the Pioneer appearing in Smash going from zero to non-zero
I bulk bought a box of something like 20-30 amazon mice cos I kept breaking them.
then immediately stopped breaking them.
I got surprised by a giant one in the red forest. I aggro'd it but I was on the other side of a canyon. I thought I was safe. Oh boy was I mistaken.
I litteraly yelled out loud. Directly into my mic. And not a manly yell, nooooo.
My friends are still making fun of me to this day.
oh yeah? well I still use a trackball from 1997
lovely
i still have my old iphone 2
and i belive i have the old minecraft pocket edition
Hello
I am not very good with satisfactory
But recently unlocked trains
What u guys usually use trains for? They seem kinda a hassle to put together
u run over ur self with it
I guess thats a joke
i mean ingame so not irl
<@&370483737957236737> please make a mental note that if y'all work with Nintendo to add Pioneer to Smash that
is a move
use hyper tubes they are fun to use and easy to setup
Yes i love hyper tubes
me 2
Just trying to figure out purpose of trains 😅 i guess i would use them for transport
Like
Transporting resources
But i already use tractors for that
hey @leaden turret can u tell me why when i use windowed mode my task bar dont show up?
windows 10?
11
taskbar settings > taskbar behaviours > automatically hide the taskbar
using windowed full screen over windowed?
that is turned off
but the mouse still moves
will putting powershards in the factory cart make it faster?
yes but it will also drain more power aswell
it has power??/
no the shard drains more power for producin the item u wanna create
i can also be wrong
I gather I could set up trains soon... Not quite sure I'm there yet.
i mean the factory cart from the sink shop
oh yeah no im sorry i missread ur message lol no u cant put shards into any cars
:(
Train is for large distances
Higher speed, higher throughput
Unpackaged liquids (until june 2nd)
Oh so if i wanna deliver coal to better water source for coal power generator
I use train
I guess one can/should make make a circle around the map.
every transportation method in this game has some purpose
however technically you don't need any of them and can just use belts everywhere. As with many other things, the choice is yours, you're given tools and its up to you how you use them
Basically yeah
no, you build coal gens near water
Ph i hate long conveyor belts
I use tractors instead
When coal is available
At this point I gather you should use oil generators.
Though you could make a road/train line to bring condensed coal, for turbo-oil.
Oh i dont have oil power yet
It freaks me out 😅
Those pil machinerys make thing into two things and u u have to use em both or it clogs
Oh it's rather simple actually. You do need to handle the biproducts, but it isn't that complicated
Just wait until aluminum
wdym by this
Also i cant rly figure out manifacturar however u spell that
Thats a beast
You do need space. Oil really require a lot of room to handle it. Good thing is oil is (as far as I can tell) mostly in areas where you can build freely.
we have sinks 🙂
HOLY SHIT
I FORGOT ABT EM
When in doubt: AWESOME destroyer
how does that change trains?
Omg
Its basically a trash can
That unlocks cool stuff 😎
If it makes smth i dont need or have purpose for
Just put it in the trash
why do so many people spell byproduct as biproduct
Then trains won't be the only vehicle that can transport unpackaged fluids
Ya :D.
I liked ladder
ah 🤷
Also the fluid cars will get bigger
they are already big tbh
Yeah but iirc it'll go to 2400
I tbh rly love tractors
They are my fav (so far) thingie in game
I have many routes setted up and makes foundry management much more menagable
Simple spelling error on my part. English isn't my native langage, my bad, I make mistakes every now and then 🥲
it's not hate or anything, it's just pure curiosity, because I've seen that happen a lot (this exact misspell)
Simple to set up and pretty efficient. Trucks can be a bit too big.
Yes!
Like here is this spot in my map
Where iron is up hill
And cowl is in a pit basically
And i just made tractor transport iron to coal
Its very fast
Faster than conveyor belt
But yeah: short circuits, tractors. Loooong circuits: trucks (or multiple tractors, that works too). Extra long circuits: train it is.
Ok!
But overall you do what you like 😊
Cross map: drones
Also that. I haven't unlocked them yet.
