It feels like up until 7 and maybe 8 it feels pretty fair, like they feel beatable consistently

Getting 1st place in a Super Sonic Speed grand prix, 1st place in every race, not using Super Sonic, and rival at level 9 or 10 with no tickets to retry is the hardest thing to do in this game by far

I seem to have some issues with bots visibly getting hit and not slowing down, being outpaced at 200 rings with a speed build by a power vehicle, and spontaneously appearing mines.

I love the game, but it’s not fun to get hit by five abilities and go from 70 rings to zero at a complete stop.

AI have insane buffs that make it genuinely impossible at a certain point.

Crossworlds is weird because its rubberbanding in the sense that your rival is always in 1st place at the race start, you’re always in dead last, they’re always front running so you have to be the one to play catch up

My theory is there was a story mode planned but it was scrapped early on because they couldn’t make an actual good one

So they would rather not include it and use that development time or budget on other stuff like tracks or characters

I should've expected it though. I forgot Shadow Generations did that. Separated the Terios and Movie DLCs.

This canon racing game without story mode feels kinda weird so i hope theyll add it in the future updates as a dlc (final horizon dlc for frontiers moment). I will expect this at sonic’s 35th anniversary

It reminds a bit of Yakuza 6 which had a demo you could play a bit of but the rest of the game was on a time lock, oh boy I wonder what would happen if somebody removed that time lock and had access to play the rest of the game

I have a bad feeling about Crossworlds. They've said they'll focus more on Sega characters post-launch, and that's probably why we won't get any other Sonic characters. And regarding updates, I don't know if there will be any for more than a year, given that Sega abandons games after one year for the arrival of another

The game is addictively fun I think it can last more than a year the only gripes I have with the game is the item balance and also how they remove ranked matches from online and lock you into doing festivals for 3 days straight each time

When I got the game I was stuck at E rank till the Miku event ended so I was already well accustomed to the games mechanics and I had an edge over everyone I was facing in Ranked since I already had experience with everything

Also it’s a bit annoying having the Minecraft map appear every time because I’ve been playing it like every other map. I have fun on it but it’s a bit repetitive again and again.

Oh and also I think the friendship thing for characters is extremely pricey for what it is

I heard you can get up to around 20-25k tickets for their friendship which is insane when you get at most like 30 tickets a race.

Besides those issues I think the game is at a great place and basically all these issues can be fixed

Some gadgets definitely need a nerf and some need a buff because there’s not really a lot of variety that people use and some gadgets just suck because they take up too many slots and don’t give that big of an impact

As for more Sonic characters, I think they can add them but you can’t except them to have much dialogue probably besides just their tricks and drifts.

Which sucks but yeah

As for now we are looking forward to around 50 characters after all the events come out and all the SEGA characters are announced which is decently impressive.

Regarding the voices of the post-launch characters:
The dubbing is the biggest mistake they made. More than half of the cast didn't have voices when they said that voices were the most important thing for the characters, and they couldn't even recycle voice clips from characters that are theirs. It was as easy as having a single rival dialogue and a response to it, and it didn't directly refer to a character. They said that for the voices to have voices, interactions were necessary when Hatsune Miku doesn't have interactions, but she does have a voice. This response didn't help much; it only managed to increase the controversy, and many players even said that the post-release characters seemed like mods, with the difference that a mod would at least give her a voice

It’s ashame but they said that it’s licensing issues with the characters which I find funny when it’s literally SEGA’s own characters???? Though they did say that if they were to add the voices it would have made the game release later than usual so I’m hoping they do have voices later down the line atleast. I'd also like to see crossover characters get something, like Hatsune Miku's classic outfit, Joker's student outfit, or some retexture of Steve from Minecraft similar to those seen in Smash Ultimate, given that Steve is the easiest character to customize

I think it really says something about how good/actually challenging CrossWorlds' CPU opponents are when races feel just as neck-and-neck and close as actual online races.

Started playing online now, so it'll be fun to earn those rewards and be up against real players. It's also a ton of fun seeing who people choose and whatnot.

Been testing out Power type vehicles, it definitely feels amazing being an immovable object and damage is a small hindrance to you but the issue is your speed is so low that having hindrances like that are genuinely enough to end you, enough damage will chip away at your speed and rings and it'll just be game over for you, pray if you fall off the track once or twice because playtime is over.

Oh yeah and your handling is as bad as your speed

So have fun not being able to do snaking very well and falling off the map a few times if you mess up a drift/snake

You can mitigate that issue by having that gadget equipped that can give you a small boost if you tap somebody but another issue happens where you'll fall behind so quickly that there wont be anybody you can tap for a boost

Its definitely fun using power types but genuinely speed/boost types reign supreme.

Played about an hour of Race Park, mostly consistent wins against a Level 4 Rival Team on Extreme Match.

With 375 tickets earned in an hour of playing and a few being from x25 ticket drops, I can only imagine how many tickets you could rack up in an hour of playing and the maximum prize of x70 ticket drops.

Race Park really is the way to go for the ticket grind.

Unless I'm mistaken, let's say you consistently won races with x15 tickets at the end of each race.

4 races in Grand Prix on max level Rival = 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 24 = 84

3 races in Race Park on any level Rival Team, assuming maximum ticket cap (x70) = 15 + 15 + 15 + 70 = 115.

So if I'm not mistaken, you would eventually get more tickets in 3 races from Race Park than 4 races from Grand Prix.

But that's assuming a consistent x15 ticket base and consistent wins.
