Hi,decided to play Last Light Redux on pc, steam, started the game in ranger mode, i was snooping around the settings, clicked something i didnt want to and just pressed the button to change back to the default settings which enabled my HUD on, anyone knows how to fix this so i wouldnt need to restart all over?
#Turned off ranger mode by accident.

Do i delete the saves or only user.cfg?
and then boot up the game

You have to backup your current saves, and then delete the user.cfg from the folder you copied your savefiles to.
So, backup your saves somewhere, and go into the last light backup directory and delete the user.cfg so you can't accidentally copy it back over the new one you are about to create.

Yup. Launch the game, start a new playthrough with the Ranger Hardcore difficulty, then go through the prologue.

Well, the actual save should be upon chapter load.

Okay, awesome. Now, you can exit the game, and:
Copy your save games back from your backup, that is, all the 2034_*.player files.
Make sure that you do not have user.cfg file amongst the backup.

Yup.
The same path you followed to make a backup of them, is where you place them again.

Yes. And if it all worked out, you can click on "Chapters" and load the latest chapter that you played before you accidentally reverted to a different difficulty.

The way you can check is, no HUD and if you press TAB, you shouldn't see any weapons.
