Add true rares to the server. Anywhere from 1 - 5 only. Announce them every month or couple months. Make the drop rate extremely low.

add them to a cash shop item - $1 a spin, able to get other stuff from it but the big rare has like .001% chance to pop out

#

bonus deals could be 11 gachas for $10 instead of 10

Im not really a fan of pay to win which this seems kind of like but for Deco. Maybe a sepearate table for this compared to items you have to grind for.

Put all deco on the cash shop and only have drops with function in game ....

Deco in cash shop sounds good, function drops sounds good. I’m going out on a limb by saying that PVE grinders like rare deco drops too, the more unique or rare in quantity, the better

THe whole end game here is deco / wearable grind/ you add that all to the cash shop there is nothing left to grind for, I remember when rares were so rare moat fishing no one did it, now that the drop rate on rares has increaed look how many people moat fish, plus it increased the economy with semi rares for trade and sale. Just increase the amount of semi rares, sure you can throw true rares in also, but increase the volume of semi rares, but make all those rares uniqe to s ton of different areas like dungeons, overworld mobs etc.

Of course if all deco were added to the cash shop it would have to be replaced in game with a gear grind etc...

Not directly added. You purchase an item from the cash shop for like $1 that when used, will roll a dice between 1-1000. If it hits 1, you get the rare item, otherwise you get like 4-5 of a reg or a lesser heal potion.

#

This would be beneficial in 3 ways. First, the devs would get an increase in funding for assets, server, network, etc needs. Second, it would add an element of enjoyment from the lottery/gambling nature of the item. And third, it would keep the rare item rare, while providing useful resources!

Sure why not lol... ESO has a similar system does exactly that....

#

they even have special rares only come from the purchase of crown crates

No way in hell iam paying real money for something I have a small chance at

next nest
#

it'd be a high chance if you buy 1000 of them tho

cerulean sleet
#

personally I'd never buy them either.... that being said over in ESO I've known folks would spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to win certain mounts etc...

#

Though in ESO not all deco can be won through these boxes. Tons can just be purchased

True rares represent a trophy for a PVE player to grind mobs for monthly. When a rare doesn’t have a finite amount, it essentially stops being a rare. A good example is plants and vines. They are more “uncommon” as opposed to rare anymore.

Though I can agree on the point that there should be some items in games that are so hard to get that they remain "true" rares. Ultimately I feel that the focus on deco as end game here lessens it's value altogether. I do appreciate cool things for our houses. Though I think in the end it's past due time to deemphasize deco as the only end game...

I barely collect deco and value function over deco, but I understand that for most people deco is king and the king of deco is True rares 😛. Additionally, I don't think you could have a function item as a true rare because it might cause inbalance in the game which is why my focus for this thread is deco.

I agree completely... I guess my point is if there is time to be spent working on "true"rares.... I'd sooner see it spent working on end game

i know nothing of programming so I dont know how much time it takes to create art assets for the game. If it is minimal compared to game system changes, it might be something that can be done hand in hand with those too.
