I believe the problem is within this one?

#

Card template 3 in note type 'Basic (and reversed card)' has a problem.<br>The front side is identic

#

...identical to card template 1

#

I checked are there any problems to a card's data itself I added while this problem existed.

The data seemed just fine within the Preview window.

#

Other card types don't pop up errors like this.

It's telling you exactly what the problem is. You have three card templates, and the front of card 3 is exactly identical to the front of card 1. So you'd end up with two identical cards, but with different histories. There's no good reason to do that. Probably the card 3 you accidentally created and can be deleted, but if you do want it, then you'll need to differentiate it from the other in some way.

I hope I did it correctly and didn't delete cards that had data ๐Ÿ˜…

#

I also don't know how it ended up having an extra type

If you choose "Add card type" it duplicates whatever card type you're looking at (to use as a starting point). Maybe you did that?

Can be

But there's no error anymore, and I can freeze fields normally again.

Thanks!

Usually you can't even save the card type if it's an identical duplicate, so I'm not sure how you got as far as you did ...

The easy way to check for that is to search for the cards before you delete them -- "note:Basic (and reversed card)" card:3 to see those cards and then add -is:new to see if you've studied any of them.

Since it's too late now, if you want to check for peace-of-mind, you can import one of your backups into a separate (temporary) profile and search there.
