See the attached image. Why is the answer '1381' not marked as correct?

Am I incorrect in assuming that if the inputed text is within the answer string then it should be highlighted green (indicating the answer was correct)?

I'm trying to debug this as this is the only card I'm having trouble typing a date with

if I type in 1381 then it functions as expected

the anwer 1381 appears to fail when the answer string is beyond a certain length independent of content.

This is very difficult to debug. Anki seems to dislike 'type in the answer' if the answer is just a number and the answer string is beyond a certain length with the number not located at the beginning of the answer string.
