In the Browse window, you can sort by different columns to see the cards in a different order. https://docs.ankiweb.net/browsing.html#columns
bro, didnt got it ._. Mind just showing me where to click etc.? I just installed anki, no idea for example what they mean with "notes" and "cards"..🥲
I found this video: https://youtu.be/s5mStw-qLqU?si=amvX-ObUCmhuHh0m, but in the newer version theres no "rescedule" button like here?
New to Anki? Check out the whole playlist here: https://goo.gl/NxYTor
Sometimes you'll import decks of cards that already have the review schedule against them from another person. This clip shows you how to reset the review information so that the cards show as shiny and new for you.
It also points to how you can reposition cards in the new c...
Are you sure you want to reschedule? You didn't mention that before. Rescheduling (renamed to "Set due date") as the new name suggests means setting a new due date (if the card wasn't already, it's made into a review card, potentially skipping any learning steps). A similar command, Reposition, is for setting the order in which new cards are gathered. Both should be in the Cards menu of the browser.
You can sort the notes/cards by clicking the column header for the column you want to use.
To see the column for card creation, right-click on the column headers and select whatever you want.
I am using the Advanced Browser addon that lets you add fields as extra columns, but you only need that in case whatever you want to use is in another field.
Ein Macher. Anyways, I tried repositioning that way, but it doesn't reposition. I don't need to/want to rescedule, but if I need to to have it in the right order, I would. I guess, its not necassary though. I add an extra column. The date when I added it for example. But it doesn't show it in the order of my added decks. And besides that I like to arrange it independent of the creation date too.
I somehow succeeded (by accident) to "look up" the order that I want in "added", marking the deck etc., but I dont know if its going to work again. And besides, I like to have the right order just by clicking the deck in the browser. I need it to have a structure of the topic, you know.
Reposition only works on cards in "New" state. It will change those New #3 numbers to whatever you say, following the current display order.
It currently looks like this. I can change the numbers of those "new ...", but not the order, when I use the reposition tool.
Ah, I think I got it. Isn't there any other way keeping the due date and changing the order at the same time though?
You can specify exact order only for new cards. The cards in review states are randomised, on purpose.
The reason is that one card might give you a hint on another card. So if they always come in the same order, you might remember the second card only because it came after the first. To reduce that kind of interference, cards are shuffled. So for non-new cards, only thing you can influence is when new cards, interday learning cards, review cards are shown, but you have no influence on the order within those categories.
If you want to study a specific subtopic in isolation, you could put those cards in a subdeck and study that one directly, or you might review them by using a filter on tags (https://docs.ankiweb.net/filtered-decks.html).
(I don't remember the word "Quantor" from my Analysis lectures back when I studied physics, but that was over 20 years ago, so maybe I just don't remember, we definitely had "Gruppen", "Ringe", ..., and a repeated joke was ∃! Rudi Völler, translating to "There is exactly one Rudi Völler", or in German "Es gibt nur ein' Rudi Völler"🎶 )
I’ll try it later. No time rn🙏
Rudi Völler, eine Legende 🚶♂️
Maybe it’s something that came up with the years. It’s just an overall term for ∃ (Existenzquantor) and ∀ (Allquantor).
