Ptag memory

If you encounter java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space error, that means that the game ran out of memory (ram) while processing your request or action.

If you're on mobile, there's not much you can do to alleviate this issue, closing other applications in the background might help. For PC, you can simply increase the maximum heap space as a launch argument. For example -Xmx4G will let the game use up to 4 gigabytes of memory. That is, of course if you have enough memory. Generally, it's not a good idea to allocate more than 50% of your entire system memory. If that doesn't work and you're on PC, please check if you have 64 bit Java installed, because if you don't, game can only use 2 gigabytes of memory.

#

no

#

it's not memory thing

#

even 2gb can run this game

#

but

#

im not familiar with json thing

#

so i have no idea

#

i think it's also happen with other java game

#

like mindustry

#

you have to name the mod folder in latin characters

verbal olive
#

Yeah usually using latin (more exactly ASCII) characters is a standard

#

But most time using other characters is also OK

Mori please dont answer if you do not know

blissful rose
#

yeah well after i try that it's still work with other non ascii characters

#

that means it's game problem then

verbal olive
#

I tested some other characters like カィあ(Japanese) йжп(Russian) ÉÄÖ(Latin), but all of them did not work

brittle jungle
#

As for juiru, yes, non ASCII characters does cause issues.

#

Plugins submitted to the store with non english characters are disapproved for that reason

brittle jungle
blissful rose
#

well then

#

just use latin characters

verbal olive
#

Yes everyone should use English characters, but some people do not

brittle jungle
#

Yeah unfortunately that does happen

#

If it is a zip folder at least it gives you the freedom to change the file names yourself so that it does work

verbal olive
#

OMG the issue is affecting many things

#

If the image file includes non-ASCII characters, it could not be found

blissful rose
#

well

#

you can't use .zip file like other game

#

so you have to use ascii characters

verbal olive
#

JSON file

brittle jungle
#

I already told you

#

This conversation isnt going anywhere else. Use ASCII characters only and your issue will be resolved

verbal olive
#

OK
