Freeze and Crash

My game keeps crashing after the loading city screen I have tried many times and also deleted big plugins. It freezes then crash then the screen turns black then goes back to my phones home screen.
I hope the mods will fix this cause theotown game is my hobby feels sad I can't play anymore.

I don't know what file to send here but this has the recent time i opened the game

Yes I deleted many and then now it freeze on the actual loading screen during the stage that says "finishing"

I assume this is the same issue we talked about earlier today? The one that doesnt produce a crash file?

@shut sun could you please stop suggesting people upgrade their phones for every issue? 🙃
Getting a new phone (especially if it functions fine for day to day use) just for a game is not realistic.

@astral lily some advice for you as well; when it comes to crashes, ask for the crash file before moving on to diagnosing the problem. Yes taking a long time on the loading screen is an indicator of RAM issues, but the hint for this one is that the game crashes. Thats not exactly expected behaviour. It could be RAM issues, but it could also be something else and in support, we try to not jump to conclusions 🙂

well his phone is still 720p and this mostly appear for entry level phone..

it chip was not exactly for gaming

also it come with 3-4gb ram that was mostly for social thing

I do believe theotown can run with just about 2 GB. It is still able to run on lower end devices. And I have seen you suggest this to someone else before. Ideally, we would want to avoid telling people to buy an entirely new phone just for the game and try to find other solutions.

well it can run with 2-3 if we don't use much plugins

also android mostly take around 1-2gb of ram

so if you have 2-3gb ram phone

you might only have around 800-1gb mb left

It doesnt necessarily mean it does cause the crash as I have explained before. Could be, or it could also be a different issue. In cases of crashes, we refer to crash file for the final diagnostic

after crash do you have to enter password again? or all your home screen icons are gone then it pop up again?

Well many are having issues like this and yes my phone is not designed for gaming but it works perfectly fine before even though I have like a thousand plugins but let's just wait for the experts to advise what to do and I am still looking forward maybe an update will fix it

You can share this with anyone else who is experiencing the game silently crashing (as in without producing any error message or crash file)
We aren't sure if that completely resolves the issue yet but this is the best solution we have right now :)

well if this happens it might be because of android itself kill all app because of ram
