INDUSTRIAL / Freight Trains,Depots

I dont know how to use freight trains so please help me if you know the way.

First photo is where i want resources to go.
Third and fourth is resource provider.

I set up a road and trains move but it doesnt show any uploaded resources on the menu (usage 0)

I only want resources from industrial zones to move to DSA or another place.

About the route usage, mine works after I placed more than 2 depots.

Now I have 6 freight depots spread along the initial 2-depot route, ~14% usage, generating profit.

Note: I custom-made the depots, using only the essential platforms to be functioning with just 1×1 tile.

Like so, big stations at the ends of the route and multiple 1×1 freight platforms.

For each of the 3×1s, the highlighted ones are 1 freight and 1 decoration, while the other 1 is for passenger.

All the stations serve passenger and freight routes.

The small 3×1 stations to save space.

Also do they need spesific industry buildings to work or any industry building?

I don't know whether freights are absolutely necessary, but I've seen some vids explaining their use in harbor situation.

For now, I'm content with them being profit generator.

I think any industry building will work, all the freight types constantly update the amount they transported.

Yes you can progress without them, don't worry they're pretty much optional
