I think was laying invisible roads and decorating them. I have also turned the experimental feature of overlaying decorations(on roads).

I have uninstalled the roads and unchecked the experimental feature. Still got that error

i wonder whats using up all that RAM

try closing backgroup applications

I restarted the game and it is working fine so far. It's not even lagging like before. I think it was one of those things(invisible roads or experimental feature); And i am inclined towards the roads as the cause of it.
