Error launching Steam version

Theotown shuts down when trying to log in via steam. I press the green “play” button, the blue “close” button lights up and after 2-3 seconds the game closes again. The game itself does not appear on the screen, nor in the task manager. I have already tried reinstalling the drivers, reinstalling java, turning off the steam overlay and antivirus. I'm from Russia, so I can't send the image. But if I understood correctly what to do, then nothing happened. I entered "java -version" in cmd and got nothing.

Then you don't have java Installed.

You need to restart after Java installation.

I've only seen two people with this issue, and they're from the Russian-speaking section of Steam. Additionally, the posts are 1.5-2 years old and have no responses.

I built a new executable that launches the game, replace the TheoTown.exe in game files with this one and try setting this as a launch argument: -Psubprocess

Also, see if there's any log/output files in %USERPROFILE\TheoTown
