Difference between Monorail and Elevated train

Are there even any difference between them? I haven’t yet used the monorail in my cities but I don’t really see the big difference between them, only prices are different

the only difference is how they look like and also monorail stations are bigger and require more space but you can generally slap an elevated train anywhere
