Hey there!
I am unable to connect to the servers with my VPN enabled, no matter what. I tried whitelisting all the executables in the game folder and my Java runtime, but it still doesn't work, I can only connect when the VPN is disabled completely.
Are there some other things I need to whitelist, perhaps? Kind of at a loss here, because it's pretty annoying to disable my VPN every time I want to play the game.
Running Win 10, if that matters.

I am not sure either, especially on why it would fail with a vpn

https://github.com/mullvad/mullvadvpn-app/issues/4873 googled some more and apparently this is a known issue with split tunelling and java applications. Rip
Wait no, I just remembered that in my case I tried to run it with split tunneling disabled, and it still didn't work 😭
well, guess I'll just have to live with this now. Thanks anyways
Managed to spot this error when I enabled the VPN after the game already connected, but did not find anything meaningful while googling

It is unfortunate that's happening, and I'm unfamiliar with VPNs are there others that Java maybe compatible with?

perhaps, but unfortunately that the one I already paid for and it works for literally everything I need it to 🤷
Guess I'll just have to turn it off while I play, as annoying as it is. Cheers either way

Hey, just wanted to update the thread in case someone ends up in the same situation.
Whitelisting every single java related exe did not help, so instead I downloaded TCPViewer to figure out what IP the game is trying to connect to, and I whitelisted that instead.
Everything works even with the VPN enabled now 👏
