#How can i edit/merge plugins with .plugin extension to reduce memory pressure

So i wanted to merge .plugin file to reduce the memory pressure and eliminate "Out of Memory" crash during saving on the "Write Preview" section by replacing the HD preview images with much lower resolution images. Last version who supposed to "fix" this issue by downscalling the preview resolution didnt help. if there is no way to merge the plugins, please tell me where to download older version of theotown safely since playstore didnt provide us option to downgrade app version (version before 1.11.76)

idk what to do anymore, how this game was "out of memory" because of plugin preview image on 12GB RAM phone. i can just keep hoping justanyone will really fix it one day

i have no idea that the devs actually working to totally fix it or not. or they just ignored it because its considered "fixed" on version 1.11.82a

Have you tried the good old restart and try again? That works for me. other than that I'm stumped. I can ping someone more able though

i suggested him to add an option to disable plugin preview image completely before, since downscaled image wont help you much on finding something from specific plugin

@thin terrace sorry for ping but the out of memory issues caused by plugin preview image during save (during write preview to be exact) didnt get fixed on version 1.11.82. since you didnt mention anything about it on the changelogs after that version on discord/forum, i assume you considered the issue was "fixed" when in fact its not fixed for me and a few people who reported the same issue before

It has nothing to do with plugins, it crashes because the game cannot allocate a 16 megabyte buffer to store a map preview. The fix is to play on smaller maps.

kinda frustating that i need to buy $500~$1000 phone just to play Theotown with too many plugins

For real man, my theotown hasn't started since 2 weeks now, in my case the ram of my phone is 3gb so its expected, im shocked to found out that devices with more ram than 8gbs are encountering these issues. Guess just playing on pc is the option now (if i buy it)

In my case theotown works after i restart my phone, clear theotown cache, clean my storage (this used to work after some attempts) but now the chances of theotown loading into the game are next to rare 💀

@deft phoenix it just get much worser than before. Looks like JA wont fix it because its totally my fault when the game performance just keep going down after many updates. now it crashed on the first save instead of the second one like usual, truly an upgrade 👍

i mean why cant just JA add an option to disable that huge ahh map preview when you load a city. it will helps a lot if you can do that. He never replied on that suggestion before so i assume he wont consider adding it for some reason DuckPray
I mean its the best option to do if too much optimization wasnt possible because too much things was added behind the scene.
