#How to make region resettable rather than deletable?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
In a more recent version,i think just making a new region will do that.
I have the most recent stable version at steam, but regions i create could be deleted instead od reset
That's because default regions are included with the game so they can be reset to their original state. Custom generated region original state is not stored anywhere.
Where are the regions stored exactly?
Custom regions? In your home folder/TheoTown/regions
Nope, their backups for the needs of resetting
They are not directly accessible as they are bundled with the game itself
Maybe before claiming any city. Do this:
- Copy all
.cityfiles. - Make
.originfolder. - Paste all
.cityfiles there. - Test it.
Doens't work; it's already there; i still see "delete region" option
Click on a city you'd want to reset.
And not on the 3 stripes.
Nope, it's a different action. I am concerned solely with an action of resetting region
I see what you're trying to do now.
Wht not try copying from an region .origin folder and overrides it?
I did, but apparently it serves only for cities reset
But i'll try once again
Ja says its not possible on custom regions
Oh, okay. Perhaps some clarification on that matters from devs?..
he is a dev
you can see in #staff-information
@finite hamlet oh, okay! Ta a lot. Hope they will implement resettable custom regions some day. Have a good one
That used to be a feature
it was removed so im sure they had their reasons
you can use kikis method of duplicating region files if you want to go back to its original state when youre starting a new map
