#“No connection, you are offline” error
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
When submitting a good crash report, please provide the details of when or under what circumstances the game crashed as well as the following files which can be found in TheoTown folder:
- crash.txt
- log.txt
- out.txt
You can find out TheoTown's directory for your system by checking outPtag files.
Moreover, if you can trigger the game to crash with the same error in a reproducible fashion, please mention that in your report as well as that helps us get it to crash on our own machines which in turn lets use fix it easier.
While it's not a crash those files can be useful
Hope these help
no crash.txt is there(probably because no crash has happened yet)
Yeah I would assume the devs can gather something from this
To me it's just nonsense but that's why I am not a dev lmao
Haha true, I do see that apparently it could not find some files specified
I will just... @olive shell just so you don't miss this one
No promises on when he will respond though
It's like 7PM for him
maybe 8
Yeah no problem
I will see if I can try fixing it on my end
“No connection, you are offline” error
No that shouldn't be it
It likely is a java thing
Can you trying running the command I highlighted there
So to me that says you have 64 bit java installed
yes
That is the version I downloaded
Hello is there any update, could really use some help?
@olive shell thoughts?
No idea
Is your game up to date?
Yes
I did attach my log and out.txt if you would like to take a look at it
I will say sometimes reinstalling java does work for these issues
Sadly that didn’t seem to do it but that is fine, I guess if a new update comes out, that might fix something.
That also works alot more often then I care to admit
Maybe worth trying the beta version too
How do you get to that?
from the steam library
I don’t think it will change anything but I will try
Did you still try using a VPN just to rule out the ISP thing?
Yes and it sadly did not work
These problems make me wish there was a way to download stuff from the plugin store manually, I don’t really care for online regions but it gets boring seeing the same models.
In any case it is an error that is related at your end, so, try to solve it by the basics, search any firewall issue or exception lock in some antivirus (Windows Defender it's an antivirus too), or even make a backup and delete all the folders related to the game on Steam, and reinstall it.
Since the game works perfectly for you except for the connection to the server, right?
