For some reason my regions maps always look like this. It worked as normal before, but now, no matter what settings or how many reinstalls I do, I always get the same visual bug. Game works as usual, but this is annoying.

I stopped playing for a while and then updated the Steam version without deleting any old files. I tried reinstalling everything and changing settings. Nothing works:/ I still get the same buggy custom map

Oh it's a steam thing

#

That's interesting

Can I suggest a java update?

If it doesn't well see what else we can do

I think I had an old version of Java because I got error 1603 lol I had to uninstall it beforehand. Now I’m rebooting my pc to test if that Java update works

#

@dawn sable Yes, that was the problem. Shame on me. I’m so sorry lol

It's all good! Glad that fixed it

Hello, the bug came back after a couple tries. I noticed the game takes two screenshots when making a new region tho. Seems like one is overlapping/overwritting the other one?

I think I discovered how to replicate the bug. When I change the resolution from “normal” to “low” before making a region, the new regions will be bugged. But, if I reset the game without changing resolution settings and I make new regions, the bug is “fixed”

It could be my potato pc tbh

Hi, thank you for these details. The .citymm files that you are seeing are minimap ones. What is the size of the cities / regions that you are trying to create? Does it fix itself after saving a city of such a region?
