I really see no reason to have competitions as a built in part of the game.

You can join in server comps, or start your own competition on any platform, it doesn't need to be built in to the game

Why this idea is bad
1: it is very easy to modify your city file as it is saved on your device as json I believe.
2: leaderboards already exist actually but its filled with hackers
