Hi
I bought theotown on steam a while ago and decided to check it out on my macbook air with apple's M1 chip. And even though the official system requirements clearly says that apple silicon chips are supported, the game is not opening at all.
I do meet the system version requirements as well, and i have tried veryfing files integrity too. Also i cant seem to find any crash logs anywhere on my computer.
Can anyone help me with that?

Game depends on steamworks4j project, which does not yet provide native M1 libraries. However, it is possible to run the game under Rosseta compatibility layer.

You should run the game under Rosseta compatibility layer

I have no idea why that does not happen

Also a question, did you install 64-bit Java?

yeah at the same moment you asked me this, i figured theres an exec file in theotown steam folder which told me that java's not installed

seems that might be the problem here
