that's a hardware limitation

We developed an own graphics engine that uses OpenGL directly, so we can do whatever the hardware can do

#

Minecraft uses a feature called z-Buffer

#

by that they can draw everything of a specific texture at the same time

#

however, that destroys things that require alpha channel

#

because of that the water in minecraft can be buggy

#

In TheoTown it would mean no semi transparent pixels to prevent graphic issues

#

also we would have to use z values for rendering

#

for buildings that's not an issue, but for car since they have different "depth" at different points

as I know, the "frame" will be displayed in the building tool preview, and if the frames is larger than 8x8, it will make some lags. different with "animation" only draws when some conditions (ex: buildings have been built, night, winter). so that it will not make any lags.

Update of Maritime Pine Tree is out, adding :

3 New Large tree which result in more dense forests more similar to the real ones

i used to do window cloud reflection by adding the effect on a picture of just the windows and slapping it on top of the building

the effect was kinda ok
