Airport management needs to be better. Instead of the boring planes land on the runway, taxi back and forth on it, and then takeoff again, why not have them land, taxi on the taxiway/transport road, and go to the gates to pick up passengers. Speaking of gates/passenger buildings, they're being used more of a decorative feature if planes are not going to them and to pick up passengers. You should add a feature where we can make our own airlines, create airline hubs, and assign airplanes to those airlines.

Suggestion for Adding Missile Systems and Air Defense to the Game.

I’d like to propose adding two types of military systems to the game:

  1. Intercontinental Missiles

    ●Conventional – Deal damage to infrastructure.

    ●Nuclear – Cause massive destruction.

    ●Can be launched from one city to another, especially in multiplayer.

Give highway ramps the pillar variants
So we all know highway ramps, they somehow exist in settlement and I would say they are pretty decent but one thing that bugs me is that they don't have pillar frames like the ingame highways (my current highway is just a texture pack for roads ignore that). Allowing for pillar frames on the highway ramps will massively affect the aesthetics of highways and how they look. Remember in 1.12.15 when highways didn't have the pillar frames and the roads just looked like ominous walls surrounding or tearing up your city? That's the same with the highway ramps now; except overlooked because no one has brought up this. That is why I want highway ramps to also have pillar frames alongside highways.

Lower road elevations
I cannot emphasise this; lower road elevations would be a game changer - even metro has proved lower road elevations exist. Why not have roads and rails go underground too? For example, in the following image, I want to build another highway but unfortuantely, it's obstructed by all my railways. Why can't we have -2,-3,-4 or -5? Why can we only access cut-and-cover roads? What if I wanted a 5 lane underground stack interchange ruining my city? If you think any of these apply to you please voted yes on thias suggestion

Resource deposits. This would be fun to have. Like a water tower or pumping station can be placed on ground water depostis. Because some maps could have limited to no water access, however if there's ground water you can place a pumping station. And farms would make sense if they're able to be placed anywhere, but function best on fertile soil. Mining stations work best and are cheaper when placed on ore deposits. And this may be a little much, but nuclear plants could run cheaper when placed on a uranium deposit. Might not be easy to add, but it would be fun. Like, it looks similar to the electricity/water coverage. Or a service coverage. It's darker at the source, then fades out the further you go, then your building runs less efficiently/costs more money to run

Train and other vehicle lengths should be more realistic. The lengths of the vehicles, especially train cars, should be extended to 1.5 tiles long (24 pixels long) and 2 tiles long (32 pixels long). This would enhance the realism of the trains and other vehicles, especially semi trucks, and buses, because when you compare a TT car with a TT train car (which is currently 1 tile long, or 16 pixels long) for example, they both almost look the same size, which feels unrealistic, because in real life train cars are larger than the regular cars.

I wish the devs would add a feature that allows us to make our own pre-made regions. Pre-made regions, meaning you can terraform, adding assets to the region like with the vanilla map. Imagine the limitess scenario you can make with it (e.g.: rebuilding your regions after a devastating wars, developing a rural regions into an important finanical hubs, maintaining a big city by solving traffic issues, etc.) I think this could even add a new category on the store, like a place where people can download pre-made maps.

📢 Suggestion: Diagonal Build Mode & Advanced Elevation Controls

I just want to start by saying — TheoTown is hands down the most creative and open-ended city-building game on mobile. I’ve played a lot of other city builders, and nothing really comes close.

That said, I have a couple of ideas that I think could take the building and realism even further:


🔺 1. Diagonal Building & Placement Support

Right now, the game uses a strict square grid — which works great in many ways, but it also limits creative freedom:

Diagonal roads eat up two full tiles per “step”, making them inefficient and awkward.

It’s hard to design natural-looking neighborhoods or smooth road layouts.

Plugin creators can’t easily make diagonal buildings, fences, or features.

Idea: Add proper diagonal tile support — either as a new build mode or a tool that lets us place diagonal infrastructure natively. That would unlock so much potential for more realistic and creative city layouts.


🛤️ 2. Adjustable Elevation & Slope Tools

The elevation system is a great addition, but I feel like it could be more flexible:

Slopes are currently fixed and sometimes too steep.

We don’t have the ability to adjust slope steepness or create smooth transitions for roads and rails.

Bridges and overpasses feel a bit blocky due to this.

Idea: Add tools that let players:

Manually control slope angles or length.

Create gentle inclines, especially for long roads, highways, or realistic rail lines.

Fine-tune elevation for more natural and scenic cities.


These changes would allow us to design cities that feel more like real-world urban planning, without compromising the game’s performance or accessibility.

Thanks to the devs for making TheoTown what it is — a mobile game that actually puts creativity first. Hope these ideas are helpful and maybe even doable in future updates!

The metro system should be majorly improved. First improve the subway tunnels, they look more like water tubes than subway tunnels. You should add more track types like at-grade and elevated tracks, including tracks that run directly above roads. You should improve the stations too, like make the underground subway stations realistic, like add mezzanines and track platforms underground, as well as add elevated and at-grade subway stations. You should add different subway car lengths, so you shiuld add 24 pixel long (1.5 tiles) and 32 pixel long (2 tiles) subway cars to build our trains, personally because I think it is more realistic.

AIRPORT REWORK

As of the moment, TheoTown's airport system is a bit...stale? I don't know how to say it, but yeah let's go with that.

  • "Gate" based slot system rather than runways, kinda unrealistic for it to be limited to runways.

I've playing for some years now I've loved the whole building idea plugins and stuffs but I feel there should be an economy improvement by a new depth of financial like a central bank making the in-game currency value competing against an existing global currency that'll dedicate the value of our in game currency and an inflation and boom system instead of citizens just living the city or anything
This increase player's strategies towards building a better economy for their citizens and also a loan system which earn the city extra income through interests this can also impact the economy too and finally resources/ proper trading system

Transit expansion Idea

  • Bus route waypoint marker. That way users can have more control of where the bus goes, but not having to make it have unnecessary stops
  • Train routing system that works like the buses, only you can only place the stop points adjacent to station platforms
  • Customisation of bus types with a bus depot upgrade. Larger buses would cost more theons to operate, but carry more passengers. Double Decker buses maybe ?

Airport Overhaul part 1

I know this is a city building game but airports are obviously related to cities so I'm gonna talk about it. The airport system is currently trash and here are the things I suggest to make it better.

Realistic runways and taxiways - In real life, runways have multiple planes take off and land like every five minutes, and taxiways usually have multiple planes on it, whether its for taxiing from landing or for takeoff, or going from a gate to a hangar, so I feel like having that system in TT would make it more realistic.

Terminals - having passenger terminals where planes can park at gates, pick up passengers and then take off again, and having cargo terminals where planes are park at gates, load up/drop off cargo, and then take off again, would be such a cool and realistic thing to have in TT, too bad the current gates and system we have now is doo-doo, hopefully my suggestion will make it more realistic.

Public transportation - in real life, most airport have shuttle buses that take you from one terminal to another, airport monorails (or airport people movers) that do the same thing, mainline buses that take you from the airport to the city, or metros, high speed trains, or commuter trains that take you from the airport to the city (commonly referred to airport rail links). Please add some airport public transportion, it would make airports more realistic and fun to make.

Airport Overhaul part 2

Hangars - Hangars to paint planes or to fix planes should be added, even if its not possible to be added as a functional feature, add it in as decorational feature, so it can still create a realistic touch to the airports.

Planes - the way that the planes fly is not realistic at all, they just come into the map, and when it reaches into the runway, it falls out of the sky and slams on the runway, and it taxis back and forth before taking off again. Make a system where planes realistically land, then exit the runway, taxi to the gate, and after picking passengers or cargo, make the plane push back, taxi to the runway, and make them takeoff, and then rinse and repeat. Also, planes landing in out of nowhere is not realistic, create a system where planes/flights can go from one city to another and one region to another region.

I know this is too much to ask for/suggest, but honestly the airport system is doo-doo and I wanted to find ways to improve it somehow, hope you like my suggestions.

I also dont want to plop 5 different schools in every street, because that again is not realistic at all. In the new uptade, I am having issues creating bus lines, because some stops that are to close to each other are merging in one. Hi I wish there was regional trading between cities in online or even offline regions instead of what we currently have (trading supplies like water and energy)

  1. When making a city in a region, you can see what resources your plot (city) contains or is rich in AFTER making the region

  2. Industrial buildings that produce or use these resources will have a buff in income, and the opposite for ones that don’t (small penalty or deficiency)

  3. Commercials will require certain resources to maintain their income and efficiency (although not a commercial, but similar to how rockets require supplies to be used) this gives trading a real purpose

  4. There will be a Trading Hub showing cities in your region (online/offline) and their resource demand

  5. You can sell resources you produce to these cities, and they can do the same.

  6. This adds another purpose to freight trains and highways between cities, making trading faster and more efficient

  7. It makes industrials have a more "Real" purpose other than buildings that just make you money, Also, You can see what materials/resources your industrials use and produce and their efficiency!

E.g I buy 200 tons of wheat from a neighboring city for 2000T, process it industrially into flour, and sell it for 4000T.

Other e.g My city is rich in oil and minerals so I set up extraction machines and refineries and sell to cities that need those resources.

Decrease vehicle price, mainly buses. Before last update the bus prices were considerably cheap, and it was slightly 'off', but now they're too overpriced. For me it seems like the same problem we had with the old ticket system: an exponential increase every time you buy a new vehicle and the more your city grows. But this exponential increase is just exaggerated, as, in my city as an example, the second from last bus was costing something like 2 million theons. The price needs to be fair, not too low, but neither high enough to discourage vehicle buying and route plannings.

This would be an interesting update for city administration. Through public policies, we could decide whether citizens would pay for public transportation, healthcare, or education. We could also interfere with industry, encouraging or discouraging certain types of industry in the city. For example: policies to encourage the emergence of less polluting industries. There could also be another transportation update to integrate with the public policy update: bicycles. In addition to public transport and cars, citizens can also get around by bicycle, and we could build bicycle rental points, also deciding whether people would pay for the rental or not. There are definitely better ways to present my idea, but that's it, I hope you like it.

Emergency services update

Let's be honest, you and I are tired of building a fire station and, boom, now we have a parade of firefighters with 50 trucks in the street.
My suggestion is that the player should have the freedom to choose whether emergency vehicles will be driving randomly or waiting inside the base. It's truly depressing that all your vehicles – police, paramedics, firefighters – are responding to a single call.
Furthermore, I'll add three more related ideas: Instead of us manually dispatching emergency services, they can respond to calls on their own. Furthermore, several plugins add their own themed vehicles - Asian, European, American - so it would be nice if we could choose what type of vehicles we want a build to generate. My final thought is that, just like in real life, living near a hospital doesn't prevent you from getting sick, living near a fire station doesn't make fires stop happening, etc. So, even near emergency services, these things could happen, but at a lower rate of occurrence, for convenience.

In the current days where road decorations play a vital role in this city building game, we are desperately in need of some features that would improve the convenience of road decos. And a feature that I think most important is letting us be able to make our own road-deco presets in-game, and I said in-game, not via external codes that only plugin creators can understand.
For example, if you want to build a normal 4-way intersection, for modern pc games, it would take about 2 steps: step one is to build a road, step two is to build another road that would cross the former. All assets related to the intersection (traffic lights, road markings, etc.) are already pre-built and will be automatically placed right after that intersection exists. Ok, now back to Theotown, if you want to build a detailed intersection, you would have to place down traffic lights, crosswalks, arrows, road lines, etc. all manually, and it would take so much time.
Im not saying that we need that auto pre-built assets like for those pc games I just mentioned, what im trying to say is we are having to spend too much unnecessary time just to build something nice. And road-deco presets would help solve this problem. It would be nice if the devs could implement multiple tiles for each preset; if not, only a 1x1 tile preset would be nice enough. We can choose what to be in a preset and there should be a save/load menu for us to load those presets. Again, please, we really need this feature as it would improve QoL by a lot.

    There should be a way for us as player to put policies that'll affect the city we're the mayor of every city we create but we actually don't control anything aside from finance we should be able to put rules that will influence the entirety of our cities

  3. Cameras we need a better control on our cameras we should be able to view the whole city the buildings shouldn't block us from accessing roads especially when buildings are so tall

BRIDGE REVAMP:

currently building compex interchanges is very challenging with how bridges work. I am not a programmer so i wont claim to know what the easiest way to improve this is, but i think ive come up with a really good idea:

New tag for roads: pillar distance. setting pillar distance to any number will change the maximum number of tiles between pillars. this will make it so larger roads like highways need less supports than for example the dirt roads wooden bridge. you would also be able to make diagonal bridges over objects, as you no longer need a pillar at every corner, which will unlock a whole new option for building interchanges and roads in general.

So what I'd like to add on is you either add it as a feature or specialized industries, both ways are depending on what you want to do for it being a feature I'd reckon you implement it in hard mode as currently we have difficulties but they only reduce starting cash although since we are adding more micromanaging,I'd say that starting grant for hard mode be increased from 25k to 50k as well you'll need it

Police overhaul:
The police system should be majorly improved. You should introduce crime statistics so we can see what cities/areas have a low crime rate and which ones have a higher rate of crime. Also, you should merge SWAT with the police. SWAT is another police unit but highly advanced, and I don't think there is a point in keeping the two separate.
You should introduce upgrades to the police stations so that new police units and emergencies get added. The current emergencies we have are burglary (breaking and entering) and murder, but for each upgrade there is a new unit and new emergency that would be right for the unit. For example:

(Sorry for breaking up my suggestions into chunks, that was a mistake on my part) A good idea I've heard before are cargo trains that transport materials from industrial areas to commercial areas as well as to outside the map. An idea I thought of was a highway that you can choose to spawn in during map creation. One of the things that bugs me about this game is how when you zone an area, trucks and cars just spawn out of nowhere. I though of an idea for an option you can enable that makes it so that people have to enter via the spawnable highway I suggested earlier in order to enter your city (Like in Cities Skylines). This could be an option that could be enabled, however, as it would break some people's citiies traffic. This might be difficult to add though

add lifestyle, like percentage of people being fat, and pie percentage of electric/fuel vehicles, Tesla charger would greatly increase the electric vehicles, and adding gas station to increase fuel vehicles, also works like ticket satisfaction there is vehicles satisfaction for fuel and electric one, poor people love fuel vehicles as they're less expensive and middle class choose electric one and the high class choose the electric one, electric car reduces the noise and pollution of traffic. If alot of people were fat just make them encourage biking by adding bmx parks (function as a park and a bike transportation at once)
