You see they got this thing called a Checking Account, anytime you use a Credit/Debit card you write in this book to keep track of your expenses. If you go over your monthly limit or so, it'll lower your Credit Score, which can make it more difficult in the long run for other things

@candid verge considering this is a crutial intersection, I would save up alot of money and pause the game so you can freely work on its layout. Maybe even experiment a bit in sandbox mode. Additionally, you might want to make a highway setup and have a standard fourleaf clover intersection. Versus alleyways, it would improve the overall efficience of commerce in your city.

oh hey, so i had an idea for music and theotown
i was playing cities skylines back in the weekend, since it was free on steam, and it has a neat implement of city radios, where you can choose what kind of music you can listen to during the game
i was thinking maybe theotown could get a similar feature, put next to the plus button on the interface, and thus the player can choose to listen to the old instrumental/melancholic soundtrack, or switch to the newer upbeat soundtrack, or even allow the player to play songs from his own playlist in his device! :)

I am pretty disheartened that tunnels cost gems. I wouldn't mind paying gems once to unlock the ability to build them, but gems for every tunnel is just not something I can roll with. Guess I'll have to ignore the cool new feature. :(
I only really care because it's a feature that affects game play significantly, unlike the big pretty skyscrapers you can unlock.

It is indeed pretty scary. I fell in love with this game because it was a mobile game that broke the mold. There wasn't absurd wait timers around every corner and the need to spend half your bank account to progress through the game for a day. I understand it's a mobile game, and that deva need money. But I feel there is a more reasonable solution here that can make all parties happy. It's not just about tunnels, but the direction of the game as a whole.

@zenith junco I understand what you're saying and i too wish that tunnels wouldn't cost money. It's just that implementing new features into the game takes alot of time for Lobby. The tunnels are like he says a "premium feature" which isn't a bad thing as it gives them importance and helps the devs make income.

I also don't want to come off as a cheapskate here. I can't give them money at the current time, money is very very tight for me. But I do understand that they have to have an income. I don't know how much money watching ads brings in. I'd rather do that than be locked out.

Yeah I know what you mean. So many games made of passion are lost to greed and money-making potential. I too loved Theotown for how it stood out in the Playstore ad wasteland. Overall I think it's no issue as long as the core features in the game stay they way they are, free.
