but that's also more for boonDPS

42k tends to be where Anet tends to balance DPS around for optimal DPS

but yeah, if you're regularly around 20k it's passable, aim for 30k+ on DPS though

Literally for those that are doing progression through story, and are worried about how to be efficient with the unbound magic/volatile magic

don't be

you're going to be going through the maps, completing collections, dailies, etc. just spend it on trinekts if you need them, or trophies if you want gold. PCR (amulet) is essentially free minus your time

Doing the return-to achievements for PCR will get you all the materials + most of the achievements for Aurora and Vision

the bloodstone trinkets are really good, though they're kind of a pain to get

since this will be 16 days of dailies on a map. pure time gate. Won't matter if you're going for PCR since you'll still be on the grind

but it's just to be aware of it. but having PCR + the trinkets, and if you're doing fractal dailies, that's a free leggy backpiece as well.

and then the remainder from wvw or other sources - there's almost no reason to do rng clovers anymore

even first set of raid armor (wings 1-4) are near free, since it gives you the ascended armors for free, along with getting magnitite shards for clovers to be collected over the 6 weeks

so starting GW2 i kept looking for staff builds and well not very many of em

scepters could be cool but i kept seeing big ones

more realistic cause man travels with a staff not really the most stealthy

mirage staff is stong and actually a casting weapon

thief bonks people with their staves so you might not want that, but also strong

ranger uses staff almost only on druid as a healing weapon, pretty sick tho

necro staff is used a bit more in wvw/pvp since the marks are really good at area denial and what not but not much use in pve outside of fractal precasts

heal catalyst uses staff and is one of the more op pve builds in the game rn

rev staff is also a melee weapon also a healing weapon , but its used frequently on supports because staff 5 is one of the strongest cc skills in the game

guard staff is its premier healing weapon

sceptres tend to be much more offensive in this game in general tho for sure

unironically while most vets have a favourite class, they usually have the ability to flex to whichever flavour of the month class is currently the most op because anet is very good™ at balancing the game

i play ele everywhere i can but there's a few places where i have to swap to either chrono/renegade/druid just because the difference in performance is so vast

the only downside i've felt to playing multiple armor weights is you need extra ascended sets if you want to do fractals with them, but that ends up being a really short term problem

especially if you do a lot of open world content the extra variety from having more builds available comes in handy

yea, lunatic is nice because you can just buy the mats instead of having to farm a map currency, and it being account bound is helpful so you can just make like 1 light viper's / celestial / whatever hard to find stat set and pass it between characters

Yeah some of them were already frustrating with randoms at t3, but honestly from all I've seen so far, it's not hard. Nothing you'd be stuck on for more than a couple wipes with average people

Most of it is stuff like aoes snapshot a little faster, and have a slightly bigger/more complicated hitbox

If you understood the mechanics at t1 you'll understand them at t4. Just there's less room for error and most of the fights last a decent amount of time instead of dying in 40 seconds

It's good gold tho. Last few days doing t3/some t4 plus recs I've been coming out with 3+ ascended rings, and like 15-20 gold in junk and sold mats

I was told to expect 10 gold per dailies session, but I've yet to get less than like 15
